  Brandon,

Your passing has hindered me but has also motivated me at the same time. I remember how pumped you were for every one of your fights and you never doubted yourself.

We all admired that about you and will carry that through life always! You won the fight! We love and miss you dearly.

  Khadi (Déjà vu)

“Baby, this is perfect!” Brooklyn sat next to me burying her toes in the sand, sipping on a pineapple mojito while I puffed on a Arturo Fuente cigar. This honeymoon to St. Lucia was just what we both needed away from all the tragic things that happened back in Miami. The private resort overlooking the white sandy beach and emerald waters would take the hardest nigga’s breath away.

“I made reservations for us to go into town tonight.” She got up from her chair looking good enough to eat in her two-piece Burberry swimsuit, making her way into my lap and smiled down at me.

“We have a chef here.” I tried arguing with her. The last thing I wanted to do was go into town and mingle with the locals; I booked a private villa for a reason. I wanted to enjoy my sexy wife before our little honeymoon was over.

“Pleaseeeeee, can we go?” she pouted and I almost gave in until I remembered she owed me a favor.

“I tell you what, ma, you hold up your end of the bargain and I’ll hold up mine.” I looked up at her before placing my cigar down in the ashtray on the table that sat next to me. Her eyes turned into slits before her mouth curved into a sexy smirk. I know that shit may have been corny but I’d been begging my wife to fuck me on this beach since we got here. My dick got hard just thinking about it. “Marriage is about compromise, right?” I cocked my head to the side, lifting my straw hat up waiting for her to answer. When she didn’t respond and removed herself from my lap and began slowly walking toward the beach while pulling at the strings of her bikini and letting it fall in the sand, I immediately jumped up and followed her.

Something about the waves crashing against the shore behind me and being knee deep in my pussy had a nigga about to blow a fuse. I was working overtime as the sun began to set, while fucking the dog shit out of my beautiful wife. This shit belonged on a postcard, I thought; leaning down and passionately kissing Brooklyn trying to be romantic and make love to her but she wanted it rough tonight.

She placed her hand on my chest breaking our kiss, “Fuck me.” She stared in my eyes daring me go harder. “You wanted to fuck on the beach, right?” She asked with a grin.

I looked at my beautiful wife. “Yes, I wanted to fuck you on this beach.” She didn’t know just how good she felt.

“Then you better fuck me good.” She moaned, opening her legs wider allowing me full access.

That was all I needed to hear, I was trying to be gentle but if that’s what she wanted, that’s exactly what she was gonna get.

“Ohhhhh…yessssss,” she moaned, licking her lips, while I grinded hard on top of her. She squeezed her titties together and brought them to her mouth, running her tongue across her light brown nipples and that was enough to make me nut the fuck up.

“Throw that pussy back.” I told her before dipping down and helping her suck on her titties like I was a disciple and it was my last supper. She threw that pussy back just like I told her too.

“Baby, I’m…about to cum!” she moaned louder, making my dick harder than calculus.

“You don’t cum ‘til I say so.” I pulled out, lifting her up from the sand, holding her midway in the air while then sliding her back down on my dick ramming in and out of her at a slower pace. “You hear me?” I asked, burying my face in the crook of her neck lightly, biting her. The sweet smell of her was enough for me to shoot her club right back up with another one of my seeds. She kept moaning but didn’t answer me. I pulled back grabbing her neck forcing her to look into my eyes. “You better answer me girl.” I lifted her up slowly off my dick before slamming her back down hard; shaking the sand beneath us.

“Yessssssss,” she moaned right before her legs started shaking as I picked up the pace.

“On three, ma…gon’ head and bless a nigga. 1….2….3.”

“Arghhhhhhh,” she hollered, arching her back, creaming my dick up with her sticky coat as we both experienced an earth-shattering orgasm.

“Damn, baby, that was better than last night.” I laughed, kissing her forehead before pulling my semi-erect dick out of her and falling back on the sand.

“Get up, Khadi, we have reservations in an hour.” She stood up and started walking toward the villa naked, headed to shower.

I laughed to myself at the power of pussy.

The power of my wife’s pussy.

The bar at the Blue Olive Bar and Restaurant was nice sitting out on top of the water with string lights in the air. I sat at the small wooden table in the corner, sipping on some local cognac that the bartender recommended. The food wasn’t too bad and it was reggae night, so Bob Marley’s “Turn Your Lights Down Low” boomed throughout the speakers, keeping the crowd entertained and giving the place a nice, night life, vibe. I took a sip of my drink watching Brooklyn across the room dancing with some of the residents she’d just met. My wife had the power to draw people in wherever we went.

A smile graced my face; seeing her happy like this was a turn on for me, especially after the loss we took. I stared down at my wedding band still in disbelief that I was married; something I swore off many years ago but here I was with the love of my life ready to restart a family and get out the game soon.

“Baby, I’m feeling a little dizzy. I’m going to run to the bathroom really quick.” Brooklyn walked up tipsy and sweaty as hell, from the shots we took earlier, breaking my train of thought.

“You need me to come with you?” I sat up in my seat, with a concerned look on my face.

“No…no…. I’ll be right back.” I turned around as she walked off watching her go safely into the bathroom.

“Ayeeeeeee,” the crowd got bucked up as the band switched up the music to a more upbeat reggae song.

I took a puff of my cigar before closing my eyes for a moment and relaxing. Feeling her hands slid down the front of my shirt from behind, I grabbed her arm and kissed it, “You feeling better already?”

“I’m feeling good and ready to have your baby.” She leaned down kissing me and sucking on my bottom lip. “Hmmmmm,” she moaned. “You taste so gooooood.” She walked away with me following behind her slapping her ass headed to the villa. For once, it finally felt good to not have a care in the world and just enjoy some quality time with my wife. Once we landed home and celebrated Khaddo’s birthday, I would settle the score with Felipe Ortiz and maybe hand my throne down to Zilla. A nigga lucky he made it this far, so I think it’s time to hang it up and work on my family. The streets been good to a nigga and I blessed the streets tremendously but it was time to hang up the crown. I wish I would’ve been able to hand it down to Khaza, a true Santana but Zilla been rolling with us since the sandbox so he is family.

“What you thinking about?” Brooklyn snuggled up to me running her hand down my bare
chest.

“I’m just thinking about how we gonna get this shit right when we get home.” I sighed. “New home… New lives… New vibes. I’m retiring baby, I’m going to announce it at Khaddo’s birthday dinner. Of course, I’ll still be involved in our legit businesses but as for the streets, I’m out. I just have one loose end to tie up.” I kissed her forehead

“I love you,” she whispered before falling asleep.

  2 months later…

  Khadi (Khaddo’s birthday dinner)

Everyone mingled around the huge dining area in our new home that was set up like a restaurant with tables and chairs all around. Karlie was being passed around the room like a trophy and giving most women in the room baby fever. I stood looking around at everyone and smiled; we’d pull through all the bullshit that happened over the past year. Gator was dead and Khaza was back in Haiti in a maximum-security mental health institution. The only thing that lingered in my mind was Felipe but tonight we were celebrating life; Khaddo’s life. It was his thirty first birthday and he made me promise not to go over the top so we decided to give it in our brand-new home making it small and intimate.

I had a few of our loyal workers and a few clients here to help celebrate. The hired catering employees dressed in white buttons down with a red tie and black pants, mingling around the room serving our guest fancy finger foods and overpriced champagne. Khaddo had yet to arrive but everyone seemed to be having a nice time.

“Baby, you are looking damn good in that dress.” I licked my lips walking up to Brooklyn, whispering in her ear while talking to a few of the wives and girlfriends of my crew, causing her to laugh. Brooklyn was the hottest thing in the house tonight and I couldn’t even front, I was gon’ fuck her world up once everybody was gone but right now, I needed a quickie to hold me over. The multi-color knee length, t-strap dress fit her body like a glove and I couldn’t wait to tear that shit off her body. We were still on a high from St. Lucia and were finally in a place of happiness. This had a nigga feeling like the luckiest man in the world. “You ladies mind if I steal my lady for a minute?” I asked as the women laughed, shaking their head no.

“Khadi, we are not about to get a quickie in.” She laughed, already knowing what I was up to as I draped my arm around her waist guiding her towards the laundry room. “Come on, get everyone in the dining area,” Mila said dinner is ready.

“Happy Birthdayyyyyyyy!” The crowd erupted stopping us dead in our tracks. I turned to find Khaddo standing in the door holding hands with Damere and my body tensed up. I still had ill feelings towards Damere and everyone in my circle knew that. Brooklyn squeezed my arm for assurance, “Its only for a couple of hours, babe.” She leaned into me picking up my hand and kissing it. “Let’s just enjoy tonight.”

“I just don’t trust her and no one still hasn’t met a single person from her family.” I frowned.

What’s good?” he walked in dressed in an Alexander McQueen black patch blazer with a pair of slim fitted Versace slacks and some black suede Tom Ford shoes. The Cuban link chain that graced his neck shined like he drove straight here from the jewelry store. He was looking like a real dope boy and maybe that’s what bothered me so much about Damere. He had been different since he’d been with her, more street savvy and I wasn’t used to him that way. I decided to let the shit go for tonight though for the sake of his birthday and my wife. “This is Damere.” Khaddo announced moving out the way introducing her to Khali, Zilla, and Brooklyn.

Brooklyn’s friendly ass walked up on her welcoming her with open arms. “I’m Brooklyn,” she smiled, pulling her in for a hug. I took a seat at the head of my table not acknowledging her. I knew a snake bitch when I saw one and if it wasn’t for Brooklyn and me wanting to see Khaddo happy, her ass wouldn’t have stepped inside my home.

“I remember you from the hospital.” She smiled at Brooklyn and I saw a sense of sadness wash over Brooklyn’s face. I hated when someone brought that situation up to my wife, we were just getting back on track from the loss of our baby and I didn’t need anybody knocking us ten steps back.

After making their way around the table and speaking to everyone, they finally took their seats on the side of Brooklyn and Biggs, while Mila popped a bottle of 2006 Dom Perignon champagne, pouring everyone a glass.

“Ma said sorry she couldn’t make it, Khaddo but you know she’s dealing with a lot.” Khali spoke up while feeding Karlie.

“It’s cool.” Khaddo said above a whisper.

“Well let’s eat so we can really celebrate.” I switched gears smiling, while raising my glass in the air. Everyone dug into their plates eating a variety of the food prepared from snow crab legs all the way down to fried chicken. I had Chef Coyo and Mila prepare Khaddo’s favorite dishes. I went all out tonight for this intimate dinner. I needed Khaddo to know how much I appreciated him stepping up in the family’s business and helping out.

Zilla stopped eating and slid a bag across the table “Before I forget that’s from me, Khali and Karlie.” He smiled as Khaddo looked inside the bag.

“Thirty-one-thousand-dollars for your thirty-first birthday.” Khali smiled, burping Karlie on her shoulder.

Khaddo smiled thumbing through the cash before Brooklyn pulled out the money green box with the small gold crown on it from under the table and handed it to Khaddo. “This is from your brother and me.

I smiled, seeing the sly grin form on Khaddo’s face as he opened the box and saw the Oyster 40mm diamond encrusted yellow-gold Rolex that set Brooklyn and I back about seventy-five-thousand. The look on his face was worth every penny as he placed it on his wrist.

“Thank you, guys.” He hugged Brooklyn before walking over and pulling me in for a brotherly hug.

“Salute,” Zilla raised his glass in the air and everyone followed suit.

Khali stood up and handed Karlie to her nanny. “So, we’ve been through a lot and by the grace of God, we have made it through. So, tonight in celebration of Khaddo, I say we all go around the table and tell him why we are thankful for him.” She smiled. She was always trying to come up with some mushy family traditions to show love to one another. It was corny as shit but I appreciated it.

I interrupted her, “Damere, why don’t you go first.” I spoke to her for the first time tonight, ice grilling her. She definitely wasn’t Khaddo’s type, so I wanted to know what she liked about him so much. I knew she wasn’t expecting that by the way she shifted in her seat.

“Ummmmsu-sure,” she stood up with her glass of champagne looking down at Khaddo. “Well, from the first time I laid eyes on you in the warehouse, I couldn’t stop thinking about you.” She talked as tears formed in her eyes, “Which is why I’m so sorry Khaddo, I really am.” Everyone turned in her direction in confusion, except me. I pulled my burner from my waist aiming it at her.

  BOOM!

The front door to my home came crashing in. “Everybody down on the ground NOW!” a Feds tactical team came bum rushing through the double doors of our dining room. “Put the weapon down now Mr. Santana!” An agent yelled, aiming their guns directly at me and my family.

Brooklyn turned towards Damere, “You bitchhhhhhhhhh!” she hollered before charging at her but was thrown down to the ground by one of the federal agents.

“Khadiiiiiiii,” Khali hollered, “Put the gun downnnnnnn!” she grabbed Karlie from the nanny, holding her baby tight crying.

I looked around at everyone staring back at me waiting for me to make a move. Brooklyn looked up at me from the ground pleading for me to put the gun down.

“Put it down, Khadi.” Brooklyn finally hollered snapping me out of my thoughts. I placed the gun down on the table and put my hands up in the air.

Damere exited the room and returned with an FBI jacket over her outfit, “Cuff those two” she pointed towards Zilla and Khaddo. I want to personally cuff him.” She walked towards me, pulling my hands down behind my back and cuffing me. “You were right, Mr. Santana, you do know a snake when you see one.”
She whispered, jerking me away from the table.

“What’s the fucking charge?” Brooklyn was now standing up, fighting off one of the agents who held her back while Damere walked me out to the van where Zilla and Khaddo were already inside. I looked back at my wife in the driveway and all the guests who were over as the van drove away.

“Bro, what the fuck did you tell her?” I looked over at Khaddo with disappointment in my eyes.

He pulled his eyes away from mine and looked out the window, “Everything.”

  Chapter 1

  Brooklyn

I stared at the federal police van as it drove away from my home. Thank god Khadi’s lawyer, Richard Cooper, was in attendance tonight, so he followed behind them in his car.

“Everybody out!” I rudely shouted, bypassing all the guests standing around our yard all the way up into the foyer of our home.

  “Brooklyn.” Khali grabbed my arm.

“Give me a minute, Khali. Go put Karlie down for the night.” I turned to Biggs. “Make sure everyone is off the property immediately. I’ll meet you guys back downstairs in an hour; hopefully by then, Cooper will have some news for us.” I walked away taking the stairs two at a time.I needed to get inside my room alone and take a breather to think this shit through. Shit was feeling like déjà vu only this time it was my husband and not someone else’s. Closing the door behind me, I locked it before sliding down to the floor, silently crying. Gator was gone and somehow that motherfucker was ruining my happiness from the grave. I truly believed in karma and that shit had me thinking that maybe killing him and Kassidy was coming back to haunt us. I mean, I didn’t pull the trigger but I didn’t stop Khadi from pulling it either.

I said another quick prayer, which I found myself doing a lot lately, before unzipping my dress and changing into a pair of jogging pants and one of Khadi’s shirts that he had on earlier today before he got dressed for the party. I paused for a moment sniffing the shirt and inhaling my husband’s scent giving me that euphoric feeling I got when he was around.
