The logical person to work on seemed to be Mallory. If Kira wasn’t ready to let go of the past, then maybe the heir apparent would be. I had to spend time with my sisters for the Frat Party Crawl, so it seemed like as good a time as any to bring it up. Mallory usually ran late for events, and while Kira didn’t believe it was fashionable, Mallory was far enough along in the pecking order to get away with it. I hoped I could use that to my advantage when it was time for the party.
I should message Lachlan and give him an estimate on time now that I know when we’re going to leave.
I reached for my phone and found that I had a missed call from my mother. I didn’t even hear it ring, so I decided to call her back. It wasn’t a long conversation. She mainly just wanted to see how things were going and whether or not I needed money. I figured she was just using it as an ice breaker since she still had access to my bank account and knew I was still doing okay, but it was nice to talk with her. My father wasn’t home, which wasn’t a surprise. It was Saturday, so he was probably either on the lake fishing or losing at a game of golf.
After I talked to my mother, I decided to check in on my best friend, Holly. We normally just exchanged a few text messages, but it was good to hear her voice for a change. The conversation was rather cryptic and rushed. It sounded like she was busy, so I didn’t keep her for long. Based on a few text messages, I knew she was somewhat involved with her neighbor—a hot doctor that she became completely obsessed with right before I left for school.
I might get to tell her about the guy I’m obsessed with soon. I should go ahead and text him before I get distracted again…
Amelia: Hey, we’re going to leave for the Frat Party Crawl soon.
Lachlan: Awesome. I can’t wait to see you.
Amelia: Are you going to keep your promise?
Lachlan: Yes, I will have my kilt.
Amelia: Good. :) I’ll let you know when I can escape.
I was starting to get a flutter in my stomach every time I thought about Lachlan. It had moved past just simple attraction and feelings were trying to form—an attachment that made me want to spend as much time with him as possible. I didn’t have any reservations about losing my virginity to him. It was going to happen eventually, and I was definitely going to enjoy it if it was anything like what we did when he dropped off my phone charger. I might even find a way to get another trip across his knee if I could come up with something particularly naughty to do.
I think he likes it when I’m a naughty lass as he calls it—I definitely like being one.
It was a rather unusual feeling, almost like a paradox, to be so scared of Kira’s paddle while simultaneously trying to come up with a reason for Lachlan to spank me. It was just so fucking hot when he did it. I liked calling him Daddy and confessing my sins over his knee. His dominance turned me on. I wasn’t sure how I was even going to keep my hands off him for a second when I saw him in his kilt. He was hot-as-sin without it, but when I saw him at the festival, it was like pure desire injected straight into my veins. The adrenaline and endorphins came together to create so much lust it nearly melted my panties off my hips.
Maybe it’s not love at first sight, but it’s definitely lust at a glance.
I finished getting ready for the Frat Party Crawl and walked downstairs to meet up with my sorority sisters. Kira led the charge, and just as I expected, Mallory was still getting ready. I left the house with them, then pretended that I forgot my cell phone and excused myself so I could run back inside. I actually did leave my cell phone in case it was questioned, but it wasn’t. I grabbed it from my dresser, and when I made it back downstairs, Mallory was walking out of the kitchen.
“Hey!” I gave her a friendly wave.
“You didn’t leave with the others?” She tilted her head inquisitively.
“Forgot my phone.” I held it up as proof.
“You definitely can’t leave without that.” She laughed. “Well come on, we can walk there together.”
Perfect…
“Are these Frat Party Crawls normally a lot of fun?” I tried to keep the conversation moving as we walked out the door.
“Oh yeah, you’ll have a blast—if you don’t get fucked up like you did last night.” She pulled a Juul out of her purse and hit it a couple of times.
“I had a little help with that.” I gave her a playful nudge just to see if she freaked out or was comfortable with me—it was the latter.
“You’re the one that chose the tequila!” She shook her head like she was still surprised by my choice.
“It was strategic. It goes down a lot better than the cheap stuff.” I shrugged.
“An interesting perspective.” She gave me a side-eyed glance and hit her Juul again.
Okay, well we’ve walked right up to the point where I can ask her, so I might as well do it before we get to the party.
“What do you think about all of that?” I tried to keep my tone and my stare as casual as possible. “Are you going to be paddling the pledges next year when you take over for Kira?”
“I guess.” She shrugged. “It’s one of our traditions…”
“But haven’t a lot of them changed?” I tried to push her towards her own conclusion, even if I had to practically hold her hand to get there.
“Some have.” She nodded in agreement. “Even since I started—we used to do cold showers during the first week and make pledges drink until they passed out—on purpose, not voluntarily like you did…”
“Six shots of liquor would put a lot of people on their ass.” I raised an eyebrow.
“Of course, that’s why most don’t drink all six.” She gave me a friendly nudge that was similar to the one I gave her, so she didn’t seem to be offended by what I was saying.
“Well the alternative wasn’t much better.” I tensed up as I remembered Chrissy running up the stairs after Kira was done paddling her.
“That’s true, I suppose.” She nodded. “Kira does have a heavier hand than some of her predecessors.”
“Dominatrix fantasy?” I tried to keep the door open with a joke, but I didn’t know if Mallory would appreciate it.
“Maybe,” she laughed, and the door seemed to fling wide open. “I don’t think I have it in me to hurt someone—but it’s meant to be a lesson.”
“There are alternatives…” I realized I needed to hurry the conversation along because we were almost at the first party—the walk to the frat houses was a lot faster with someone who knew the shortcuts.
“Yeah, it’s something I’ve thought about. You’re not the first pledge to bring it up.” She looked over at me and smiled.
I didn’t know if I had solved the problem, but I planted a seed—apparently not the first seed either. We arrived at the frat party, and it didn’t take us long to get separated, so we didn’t have an opportunity to continue the conversation. I found a spot in the corner to hide for a few minutes, but it didn’t last long before Kira spotted me.
“Hey, where’s your drink?” She walked up to me with a red cup in her hand.
“I’m trying to take it easy after last night.” I faked a smile. “I don’t want to end up going overboard…”
“Why, will the hot guy from last night not come save you?” She batted her eyelashes at me.
“I’m trying to avoid that too.” I laughed under my breath.
“Who was he anyway? I didn’t recognize him—he didn’t look like a student.” She narrowed her eyes. “You said your family is in California.”
“Yeah, they are.” I nodded. “He’s just a friend.”
“Okay…” Her voice had a hint of suspicion in it. “At least mingle with the crowd and flirt with some guys, even if you’re not interested in them. Pi Beta Phi has a reputation, you know.”
“Right.” I nodded in understanding. “I’m on it.”
Kira was obviously referring to the importance of our social alliances, which created the right political pull in the Greek system at the University. It was another
part of sorority life I wasn’t thrilled with, but I could deal with it. Everything was going according to plan anyway. I wanted to be encouraged by Kira after she saw that I wasn’t really participating as expected, which would make my decision to stay behind more believable—I just needed to find someone that I could pretend to latch onto.
It’s probably better to do that in a crowd…
I got a cup from the keg and sipped it as I pretended to join in on random conversations. I hoped the Frat Party Crawl wouldn’t remain at one location for long, but Kira seemed to have taken an interest in a guy from Sigma Alpha Epsilon and wasn’t in a hurry to leave—or she was just putting on a better show than I was. It was almost an hour before she started motioning to us, and it was time for me to try my hand at acting—hopefully, the performance would be good enough for me to stay.
“Alright, sisters.” Kira looked around once we were gathered around her. “Time to move on.”
“I actually may stay…” Chrissy glanced over her shoulder, and a guy waved at her.
“Look at you!” Kira beamed. “Okay, no problem.”
“I’m going to stay too.” I raised my hand. “I’m talking with a guy, and he seems pretty interesting…”
“Damn Ame, you get around.” Mallory laughed. “What about the guy from last night? If he’s single, I want his number.”
“Oh…” I looked down. “No, he’s not really looking for a relationship.”
“I didn’t say a damn thing about a relationship.” Mallory snorted, and her laugh got louder. “Relax, I’m just teasing you.”
“Everyone else ready to go?” Kira motioned to the door.
My freedom had been attained—and not even Chrissy was suspicious of my motives. She seemed to be really into the guy she stayed behind for. I thought she was just putting on a show like me, but that didn’t seem to be the case. She was quickly becoming engulfed in sorority life—even though she fought it in the beginning. I was as well, but for entirely different reasons. All of that could wait until later because the only thing I cared about in the moment was meeting up with Lachlan for our date.
Maybe I’ve got one more performance in me tonight—I can be the naughtiest lass he’s ever met.
Chapter Fourteen
Lachlan
I waited at my uncle’s house until I got a message from Amelia. She was ready for me to pick her up, so I gathered my things and headed to the car. I made plans without really knowing how long she would be, so I hoped it wouldn’t be too late by the time we got there. I had all the time in the world, but I didn’t want Amelia to get in trouble with her sorority for staying out too late. It seemed a bit ridiculous to me, but I knew how it was when someone was still pledging—they were basically owned by the Greek system until they were officially initiated.
Hopefully, she didn’t have to drink too much. If she’s losing her virginity tonight, I don’t want her to be drunk—we’ll just have to try again some other time.
I drove to the edge of fraternity row and parked near the house where Amelia promised to meet me. It was obvious that there was a party going on there—as well as most of the other houses on the stretch of road. Most colleges just turned a blind eye as long as nobody got hurt, so it didn’t surprise me to see a bunch of students well past the legal limit as they wandered between the houses.
I think that’s her…
I saw a figure in the shadow of the house, and I would have bet money that those curves belonged to Amelia—they had been stuck in my head since we met, so I had practically memorized them. She stepped into the light, and I was able to confirm it was her, so I flashed my headlights to get her attention. The second that she saw me, she started walking faster. She was a vision of loveliness, and the sight of her made my cock throb in my pants—she seemed to have that effect on me quite often.
“Did you have too much to drink tonight?” I glanced at her apprehensively as she sat down.
“Nope!” She smiled. “Just one beer…”
“Good.” I leaned over to give her a kiss.
I pulled her into a tight embrace as I crushed her lips and let my hands move along her gorgeous curves. I wanted her so bad my entire body seemed to hum just having her that close to me. We were both gasping for air when our lips finally parted, and it took a moment for Amelia to collect herself. She looked down, and I saw the thought register on her face, so I decided to address it.
“I brought my kilt. I’m just not wearing it while I drive.” I shook my head and pulled away from the curb.
“Why not?” She raised her eyebrows inquisitively.
“I had to stop for gas, and it does tend to draw attention—I’d rather only get it from ye tonight.” I winked at her.
“Okay, I suppose that’s an acceptable answer.” She grinned. “Where are we going?”
“I’m not one for traditional dates. I hope ye don’t mind.” I glanced over at her. “My uncle has a cabin not far from here.”
“You’re taking me to a cabin in the woods for our date?” She tilted her head apprehensively. “You’re not going to murder me, right?”
“No,” I laughed under my breath. “I’m going to do things to ye that might be almost criminal—but ye will have a pulse when I’m done.”
“Well that’s hot…” She bit down on her bottom lip and grinned. “How far do we have to go?”
“It’s a thirty-minute drive or so—ye okay with that?” I glanced at her again.
“If we get to spend the night together, then absolutely.” She nodded quickly.
Amelia put her hand on my leg and started to slowly move it up my thigh as I drove. The look in her eyes was obvious—she wanted the same thing I did. I just had to get her to the cabin without driving my car into a tree due to her wonderful distraction. Thankfully, we had some conversation to keep us from going too far before we arrived at the cabin—I told her more about my life in Scotland, and she talked a lot about California. I was kind of glad she didn’t work her father into the conversation. It was inevitable that it would come up at some point, but I really didn’t want to talk about him when she was so busy calling me Daddy.
“I need to switch on the high beams and slow down.” I leaned forward to get a better look. “I don’t want to miss the road. It’s not exactly marked.”
“An unmarked road in the middle of nowhere.” Amelia looked around. “I’m glad you promised not to murder me.”
“Aye, lucky for ye—yer too pretty to kill.” I nodded and laughed.
“That’s reassuring.” She grinned and peered out the window.
“There it is…” I motioned to a break in the trees. “It’s been a while since I’ve been up here—I was afraid it would take me a while to find it.”
I turned on the road, and there were a few bumps before it leveled out. It was all uphill from there. After my uncle retired, he decided to invest some money in property, and the cabin was one of those acquisitions. It was secluded, but a ten-minute drive north of where it was would have put us in the middle of a small town where people could rent cabins all over the mountain. My uncle rented his in the winter if he wasn’t planning to use it, and the rental company he used was happy to help me when I called them. I just hoped they got everything set up in time.
“It looks a little dark…” Amelia narrowed her eyes when the outline of the cabin appeared ahead of us.
“There are lights.” I let the car roll to a stop. “We just have to turn them on.”
“Good.” She smiled. “It’s a little warm for a fire…”
“Aye.” I nodded in agreement. “But this is a pretty nice cabin. It’s more like a vacation home in the mountains than a historical landmark.”
I put the car in park, grabbed my bag, and walked around to open Amelia’s door. I was pretty sure she would like the cabin, especially the surprise I set up for us. The front door of the cabin was on a keycode lock, so I punched in the combination and pushed it open. Everything was exactly like I requested, and the smel
l of our dinner greeted us as soon as we stepped inside.
“Wait, what is this?” Amelia tilted her head in confusion.
“Something special.” I walked over and lit the candles. “Are ye hungry?”
“Yes!” She nodded quickly. “I didn’t eat because we were going out, but I didn’t want to bring it up…”
“Well then I hope ye like bear meat and potatoes.” I uncovered the two dishes sitting on the table.
“Bear meat?” Her eyebrows shot up in surprise.
“I’m kidding. It’s just hamburger steak—the usual kind. I would have gotten something a little fancier, but I wanted it to be edible when we got here.” I motioned for her to walk over to the table.
Amelia seemed excited with my choice, and barely let me slide her chair in before she picked up her fork. I poured some iced tea for the both of us and lowered the lights before I sat down across from her. The smile on her face told me that the date was off to a good start, and her bluish-gray eyes had never reminded me so much of home. She was perfect in every way, and while it was clear she wanted to be mine, I still intended to make sure she knew how much I appreciated the time we got to spend together.
“Are you going to put on your kilt after dinner?” Amelia cut into her hamburger steak and gave me a devious looking grin.
“Not right after dinner.” I shook my head. “I usually don’t wear my kilt in the hot tub.”
“There’s a hot tub?” She looked around excitedly.
“Out on the back porch—not the best weather for it, but it still feels nice.” I nodded.
“I’m sure you’re aware that I’m not wearing a bathing suit under my clothes.” Her devious grin got wider.
“Aye,” I laughed. “I didn’t bring one either.”
We talked quite a bit while we ate and stayed at the table a lot longer than I intended. She was so easy to talk to. I thought dating someone as young as her would bring on all kinds of complications since we wouldn’t have a lot in common, but that didn’t seem to be the case. She was obviously absorbed in sorority life and her college classes but had a lot of common interests beyond that. The more we talked, the better I felt about the relationship progressing, and it wasn’t long until the thought of having her in the hot tub with me was too enticing to resist.
