“Me too,” Gavriil breathed as he leaned forward and brushed his lips over Evan’s. The caress was soft, gentle, a barely there promise that lit Evan up to a temperature even hotter than when his oven had burned his very first sharlotka. “I thought I would go slowly, show you how much I enjoyed your company. I even asked Melinda if there were any conflicts with dating a coworker. But you are so much braver than I.” Gavriil pressed another whisper of a kiss on Evan’s lips before he stood and held out his hand.
“Come home with me. I’ll make you dinner and we will talk.” Gavriil’s smile bloomed again; bright, beautiful, and surprising Evan, somewhat shy as he pressed his hand to Evan’s chest. “If I tell you what else I like, will you make it the same way?”
Evan nodded, knowing Gavriil was talking about more than food. “From my heart. I promise.”
It only took a minute to shut down his workstation. Gavriil waited patiently, the sharlotka balanced in his arms. The future between them was suddenly full of possibilities Evan hadn’t even started to imagine becoming real when he first decided to bake the sharlotka.
Even better, he didn’t need to make a pro-and-con list or worry about being perfect. He knew exactly what and who he wanted—and they wanted him in return.
CHRISSY MUNDER writes contemporary M/M romance filled with everyday men and extraordinary passion to transport readers into their personal world of love, laughter, and desire. She is an avid reader, a wanderer of Michigan’s wilderness, and, not in any particular order, a lover of lists, zombies, and bad sci-fi. She’s also perpetually behind on everything—except for feeding the cat.
There are those who might tell you she started writing LGBTQ romance as a way to justify her office supply addiction, but shhhhh! don’t listen to them.
After too many jobs in too many states, she’s eagerly awaiting a far-too-distant retirement and the chance to become a full-time Lake Michigan beachcomber. Until then, she’s excited to share her love of romance, laughter, and happy-ever-afters.
Chrissy loves to chat with her readers, so don’t be shy! Find, friend, or follow her at a variety of social media sites including:
