“Let’s go,” Cayson said. “Before I throw up.”
“Now what?” I said as I looked at the ceiling. “Someone going to torture me?”
They headed to the door. “You’ll see soon enough,” Cayson said. He walked out and Arsen followed behind him. A few minutes later, I heard voices. It sounded like they were speaking to a woman but I wasn’t sure. I had to lie still, totally helpless. Maybe someone would torture me until I went back to Trinity. I couldn’t believe it’d come to this.
Cayson walked back inside and set up white candles everywhere. Then he lit them until they glowed and gave the room a dim aura.
“What are you doing?” I asked.
“Just be quiet.” He finished the last candle then walked out.
Now I was even more confused.
Then Trinity stepped inside and shut the door behind her. She wore a black trench coat with heels. Her hair was styled in big curls and her make up was heavy.
I stared at her, confusion flooding my body.
Wordlessly, she unbuttoned her coat then let it fall to the floor. She wore black lingerie with garters. Her hair cascaded over her shoulders and she looked like every fantasy I ever had. She was perfect, with long and lean legs and an hourglass figure. She was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen—on the inside as well as the outside.
Before I realized it, I was hard. My dick lay against my stomach, wanting to be inside my wife. I tried to get him to go down but no thought I had was distracting enough.
When she sauntered to the bed I realized what was happening. Trinity knew I wouldn’t sleep with her, so this was the only way she could get me to cooperate.
I was screwed. “Don’t do this.”
“Why not?” Her hand moved up one leg until she reached my hips. Then her fingers trailed to my shaft.
“I can’t do this and you know that.”
“It seems like you can.” She eyed my hard dick.
“You know what I mean, Trinity. I’m doing this for you.”
“Well, don’t.” Her eyes trailed up my chest and she spotted her wedding ring hanging from my necklace. She stared at it for a long time before she crawled on the bed then positioned herself in front of me.
I pulled on the restraints and tried to break free but the chains were too strong.
Trinity leaned over my waist and her hair fell onto the skin of my stomach. The soft strands lightly tickled me. Then she grabbed my dick and inserted it into her warm and wet mouth.
“Goddammit,” I said as I took a deep breath.
She took me all the way to the back of her throat then pulled me out before she licked the tip with a sexy look on her face.
“Trinity…” I was trying to fight it but I couldn’t. She gave the best head I’ve ever had.
Trinity kissed my length and sucked the tip until she had me moaning. I wish I could stop but I couldn’t. We hadn’t had sex in weeks and I was going through a dry spell.
She pulled my cock out of her mouth then crawled on top of me. Her legs straddled my hips and her hair fell over one shoulder. She looked beautiful as she sat on top of me, sexy and daring. Then she grabbed the base of my dick and slowly inserted him inside her.
She reacted the same way I did. Her lips parted and she moaned quietly. She pushed me further inside her, and her nails dug into my chest as she moved.
I pulled on the chains again because I wanted to grab her. She felt so amazing, so tight. My cock throbbed from the pleasure she gave me. I released a loud groan and tried to sit up.
When I was completely inside her, she pressed her palms to my chest then rode me slowly. She moved her hips as she took me in over and over. Her breasts jiggled in my face, and she panted as she moved harder and faster.
I was falling and falling fast. I loved feeling the connection between us like this. To me, this was when our souls were most open. I was vulnerable to her, completely open for an attack. My heart bled for her and I didn’t hide it. I adored her and wanted this forever even if I didn’t deserve it.
I pulled on the chains again, wanting to be free. I wanted to touch her. My hands wanted to fist her hair and crush her lips to mine. I wanted to push myself inside her as far as I possibly could.
“Slade…” Her nails dug into me as she moved.
My legs were tied but I used my hips to move into her. My entire body craved her. I wish I wasn’t restrained like this. I wanted to run my tongue along her tits and neck. I wanted to taste her.
She continued to grind against me, her clit moving against my pelvic bone. “I miss you…”
“I miss you too,” I blurted. Being inside her felt so good. It was heavenly. I yanked on the chain as hard as I could but it didn’t break the headboard. “Let me go.” I gave her a desperate look. “Please.”
She sheathed me over and over, her tits bouncing as she moved.
“Baby…”
She leaned over me then undid one chain, letting my hand come free. Then she returned to riding me like a cowgirl in the wild west.
My free hand immediately dug into her hair. I held onto her as she bounced on my dick. Then my hands moved down to her breasts, grabbing them both with a single hand. My other arm was still restrained so I loosened it so both hands were free.
I sat up and felt her chest rub against mine. My hands moved to her hips and I helped her grind against me. My face moved into her neck and I treasured her smell. My lips sucked her skin and I cherished her. “I love you, baby.”
“I love you too.” Her lips found mine and she kissed me as she moved me inside her.
My arm wound around her waist and I rolled her to her back. Then I placed her legs over my shoulders as I slowly rocked into her. My hand fisted her hair while I looked into her eyes. She was my whole world and I couldn’t imagine a life where those beautiful eyes didn’t meet mine. How could I love someone so much but do such stupid things? I knew the feelings in my heart weren’t false. I truly loved her with everything that I had. I just had an odd way of showing it.
Trinity tightened around my shaft and climaxed around me. Her nails dug into my back and she held on for the duration of her pleasure. Tiny moans escaped her lips and eventually disappeared altogether.
I kissed her aggressively as I felt my body tense and prepare for a powerful release. I hadn’t made love to my wife in almost a month. My body was going through withdrawals, and I knew this sensation would be amazing.
I tightened my hold on her hair as I released inside her, filling her with everything I had. My face was pressed closed to hers as I finished. My frame relaxed after the orgasm had passed and now I just wanted to hold her close. I rolled to my side and pulled her with me, wrapping her leg around my waist while we lay together on my bed.
I looked into her eyes and didn’t say anything. All I did was stare. I gave into my weakness but it was difficult to feel guilty about it. In my heart, I knew I loved her. I didn’t take advantage of her. I should have had the strength to stay away, but when she tied me up I didn’t have much of a choice.
Trinity wrapped her arm around my waist and snuggled close to me. Her eyes closed and her breathing became deep and even.
I watched her sleep until I couldn’t keep my eyes open.
Chapter Four
Beatrice
I couldn’t believe I was doing this.
I was about to see Jared, Lexie’s ex-husband. Conrad made it clear we would never be together again but it was hard to accept that fact. He loved me so much when we were together that it was hard to imagine a reality where he didn’t love me.
But he didn’t.
It was time to face the music and let it go. But I didn’t want to date. I didn’t want to go on pointless dates with unremarkable guys and try to pretend to be interested in anything they had to say. I didn’t want to sit across from them at a table and think of something else.
I headed down the sidewalk toward the bar he owned. Conrad told me to meet him there, and I reluctantly agreed. He had t
o convince me for a few moments but I finally accepted the idea.
I walked inside and saw the tables crowded with people. TV’s were on, blaring loud, and music played in the background. It sounded like heavy rock music. Girls in skimpy outfits served beverages to the people at tables. I stood there awkwardly, feeling out of place.
Then someone approached me from the left. “Hey.” Jared wore a gray t-shirt with dark jeans. His brown hair was short but it was slightly messy like he’d been running his fingers through it nonstop. His eyes were blue and unnaturally bright. They were practically pastel.
“Hey.”
“Want to take a seat?”
“I guess.”
He led me to a table, and I flinched in surprise when he pulled out the chair for me. I didn’t expect a bar owner to have any manners at all. There were a few fancy places in the city that cost a lot just to get into, but this place definitely wasn’t like that. It was laid-back and open.
He sat across from me. “What are you having?”
“Sorry?” I couldn’t hear him over the music.
“What are you having to drink?” he said a little louder.
“Water is fine.”
“Water?” He cocked an eyebrow. “You know this is a bar, right?”
“I’m not big on alcohol.”
He chuckled but in a sarcastic way. “Alright then.” He waved the waitress over and put in the order. “Are you hungry?”
I wouldn’t eat at a place like this. “No, thank you.”
“That’s all,” he said to the waitress.
“Coming right up.” She flipped her blonde hair over one shoulder and walked away.
Jared turned back to me, and he seemed a little uncomfortable. Every time we made eye contact he looked away and stared at something else. “Conrad wasn’t kidding about you.”
“What?”
“You’re uptight.”
“He didn’t say that,” I blurted.
“Well, he said you were difficult—whatever that means.”
“I’m just not big on beer.”
“Then what do you like?” he asked. “My bartenders can make you anything—even drinks with those little umbrellas in them that chicks like so much.”
“I like wine.”
“I have that—but nothing fancy. You seem like the kind of girl who only drinks fancy wine.”
“You’d be wrong.”
“Well, I got Moscato.”
I cringed slightly.
“Told you.”
The waitress returned with the beer and the water.
“Thanks, sweetheart,” Jared said. He immediately took a long drink of his beer.
I sipped my water and felt uncomfortable.
“Conrad thinks we should be friends.” His words were random and came out of nowhere.
“He said the same thing to me.”
“So, what do friends talk about?” he asked. “I’ve never had a friend that was a girl.”
“Neither have I.”
“You don’t strike me as the type with too many girlfriends…”
I shot him a glare. “I meant I don’t have any guy friends.”
“Oh…” He tried to hide his smirk before he took a drink.
“And you don’t seem like you do either,” I jabbed.
“Actually, I do. But I admit I’ve never had a girl friend before. My relationships with women tend to be…purely physical.”
“I’m not like that.” I said it immediately and without thinking.
“You don’t say…”
I ignored the insult.
“I’m not like that anymore.” He watched the TV while he spoke. There was a Yankee game on. “I fooled around a lot ever since I hit puberty. When I opened this bar it got worse. Then I met Lexie.” He paused and took a drink.
“Conrad told me you cheated on her.” I kept the accusation out of my voice. I thought his actions were despicable but it was unfair to judge him.
“I did,” he said as he bowed his head. “As weird as this sounds, I loved Lexie. I know it’s easier to say I didn’t based on my actions. But I really did. I just…I wanted to have a lot of sex too.”
“Why couldn’t you have sex with your wife?”
“I did and I enjoyed it. I just…I don’t know.” He rubbed the side of his face. “I was a selfish jerk. It didn’t matter who I hurt as long as I got to do whatever I wanted. I was immature, rude, and just an asshole. You won’t hear me make excuses for what I did.”
His honesty surprised me. “What changed?”
“Lexie and I divorced and we went our separate ways. I was a little sad when things ended. But it wasn’t until a year later when the consequences of my actions really hit me. I was getting laid all the time and always by different women, and then one day it stopped being fun. All I felt was loneliness and emptiness. When I reflected on my marriage, I remembered all the sweet things she used to do for me, like leave me a note in the morning before she left for work. After a shower, she would write I love you in the bathroom mirror. She always made me dinner and did my laundry. Just little things like that…”
I stared at my glass of water and watched the floating ice cubes.
“Whenever I came home from work she was always so excited to see me. She would greet me with a hug and a smile. And when we visited my family, they adored her. They loved her more than they ever loved me.” He released a deep sigh. “I was an idiot for throwing her away.” He took a deep drink then wiped the foam from his lips.
His vulnerability made me relax. His regret didn’t justify his behavior but it was nice to see the sincerity in his eyes. He was truly sorry for what he did. “I messed up a lot with Conrad. I was an idiot too.”
He turned my way. “What did you do?”
“I got mad at him for a lot of things. When we met, he was a manwhore just like you were. But he changed his ways when he met me. When I found out what kind of guy he used to be I broke up with him. He never told me so I felt misled. I wasn’t sure if I could trust him.”
Jared listened to me quietly without showing any judgment.
“Then I told him I hated my father. I made it very clear I wanted nothing to do with him. But Conrad went behind my back and had a relationship with my father. He told him about my life, my hobbies, pretty much everything. And he never told me. So, when I found out…I broke up with him.”
Jared watched my face.
“It was so stupid and I realize that now. Conrad did so much for me in our relationship. He paid for my student loans and always took care of me. We dated for a year and he never pressured me into a physical relationship. When I broke up with him it was the biggest mistake of my life. Three months later I asked him to take me back but he refused. Shortly after that he met Lexie…and I lost him forever.”
“It sounds like we both didn’t appreciate what we had.”
“It does.”
He raised his glass then clanked it against mine. “At least we have something in common.”
***
“Just take one shot.”
“No.” I shook my head. “I don’t like hard liquor.”
“Have you ever tried it?”
“Not really…”
“You’re so stiff. Loosen up.” He waved the waitress over then ordered the shot.
“I’m not stiff. I’m just—”
“Boring?” He took the glass from the waitress then slid it over to me. “Bottoms up.”
I stared at the glass.
“Just get it over with.”
“Talk about peer pressure…”
“Just take one shot and I won’t pester you again.”
“Promise?” I asked.
He crossed his heart with his fingers.
I picked up the glass and took a deep breath before I downed it. I immediately cringed and wanted to gag because it burned so much. It had a strong kick to it but I managed to swallow it. “Gross. What is that?”
“Patron.”
I
smacked my lips as I tried to dissipate the taste from my mouth.
“Not a fan?”
“I’ll stick to water from now on.”
“Well, at least I got you out of your comfort zone for a little bit.”
“And that’s as far as I’ll go.”
He was on his third beer. “Do you have any friends? Seriously?”
I shrugged. “No, not really. I had a few in college but we don’t talk anymore. What about you?”
“I have my boys. They’re good people.”
“Well, hold onto them.”
“They thought I was stupid for fooling around on Lexie. My best man was actually the one who told her.”
“Sounds like he has a conscious.”
“He does,” he said. “I couldn’t be mad at him. He always had a soft spot for Lexie.”
I rolled my eyes. “Why does everyone love this girl so much?”
He chuckled. “She’s sweet and cute. Plus, she’s beautiful. What’s so great about Conrad other than the fact he’s rich?”
“He’s handsome, strong, and compassionate.”
He shrugged. “He’s alright. He told me what you did for him, going to Lexie and telling her the truth.”
“He told me you did the same thing.”
“Yep. We’re both idiots. If we just kept our big mouths shut we’d be with the people we love right now.”
“Yeah…I’m still surprised I did it.”
“I knew Conrad treated her right. It was obvious he loved her based on everything she said. She deserves to be with a guy who got it right the first time. I’m sure she and I would have rekindled our love somewhere down the road, but that wouldn’t be fair to her.”
“That’s true…”
“And Lexie really loves him. It was all she would ever talk about.”
I guess it made me feel better about bowing out.
“I think we redeemed ourselves. Do you?”
I held his gaze while I considered his words. “I don’t know…I really hurt Conrad. It was because of me he stopped believing in love altogether.”
“It was because of me she got her tubes tied.” A devastated look overcame his face.
“She got her tubes tied?” That was an extreme decision. Even I wouldn’t do that.
“Yeah…” He finished his third beer and left it on the table. “You think I’m a monster, don’t you?”
