“Fuck me, Zed,” Harley whispered when the waves of her orgasm finally diminished.

“No,” Zed said as he came up to her, kissing her while his fingers fucked her. “I want to keep my head. I want to concentrate on you.”

  Chapter 4

The following night, Harley arrived at the twins dorm room to find Red alone at home.

“Sorry I couldn’t be there last night,” Red said as they settled at the kitchen table with their textbooks in front of them. “What I thought would be a five-minute run back to the classroom to get my jacket turned into an hour-long lecture from the professor.”

“Don’t worry about it. It’s no big deal,” Harley said.

  “Yeah, so I heard.”

  “What does that mean?”

“It means that I know that Zed stepped in for me.”

“He does have an interesting take on the dark arts,” Harley said, deliberately teasing him.

Red threw his book open, flicked through the pages and finally stopped on the chapter on history. “Great. That’s just great.”

Harley shifted on her chair to face him. “Are you throwing a jealous tantrum, Red?”

He gazed at her. “No. Believe me. If I throw a tantrum, you’ll know it.”

  “Then what’s with the attitude.”

He shrugged. “I don’t know.” He turned to look at her. “I guess I kinda feel like you went behind my back. I wished you would have told me that you were here with Zed last night instead of learning about it from him.”

“But I didn’t get the chance,” she argued. “Besides, I didn’t really think it was that important. Come on. We’re all in this together. Whether I’m studying with you or with Zed or if you’re studying with Zed. The goal is all the same. Let’s get through this summer with great grades so that we don’t have to rush through the next fall semester.”

“Yeah, well…” he said, still pouting.

“Oh! Cut it out. I’m here with you now. Do you want to spend the evening pouting, or do you want to study?”

A slow, reluctant smile came to his lips. “All right. I’ll let it slide.”

“You know,” Harley said as she opened her book. “To avoid all this, maybe I should just study with both of you.”

Red pulled her into his arms and squeezed. “I wouldn’t mind that every once in a while. You know how I love to share everything with my brother. But I have to admit, that I like having you all to myself, too.”

“We better get started on this new chapter if we want to get through it tonight.” She disentangled herself and they settled down to do some serious studying over the next two hours.

“Hey, kids!” Zed shouted out when he finally arrived.

  “Hi, Zed,” Harley said.

“Have you guys eaten,” Zed said as he made his way to the kitchen counter with two big bags of groceries.

“No,” Harley said, suddenly realizing just how hungry she was. “Do you have anything in mind?”

“I have a few angus steaks, baked potatoes and sweet corn.”

“Sound great,” Red said, licking his lips. He looked at Harley. “Zed knows how to season a steak perfectly and cook it to perfection.”

  “Need help?” Harley offered.

“Nope.” Zed said as he pulled items out of the grocery bags. “You kids keep studying and I’ll have dinner ready in an hour.”

An hour and fifteen minutes later, they cleared the table of all books, pencils and sheets of paper and set the table for dinner.

“Wow,” Harley said as she took her first bite of steak. “Red wasn’t kidding when he said you knew how to make the perfect steak. This is worthy of the best steakhouse.”

Zed smiled. “I’m glad you like it. I admit, I’m not that great a cook. I can’t bake a cake to save my life, but I do have a way with the grill.”

  “You can say that again.”

After the meal, Harley cleared the table and after loading the dishwasher, came back to the table.

“Are we ready to hit the books again?”

Red and Zed both looked at her.

“I was kind of hoping we could kick back and watch a movie or something,” Red said. “Haven’t we studied enough for one night?”

“Yeah, and there’s a great old western on,” Zed added.

“A western?” Harley said with a grimace.

“Yeah. Come on,” Zed said as he stood and headed to the couch. “Give it a chance. It’s a classic.”

“All right,” Harley said. “But if I’m not feeling it after twenty minutes, I’ll leave you guys to it.”

  “Fair enough.”

They settled on the huge, deep modular sofa with Harley sitting between them.

The movie started and while it seemed interesting enough, Harley soon found herself dozing off. She awoke to a darkened room, another western movie on the television, this time in black and white, and a tangle of limbs. Zed’s arm were draped over her, while one of Red’s legs was intertwined with hers.

She shifted a bit and Zed tightened his hold of her.

“I should go back to my own room,” Harley said softly.

  “Why?” Red murmured, half asleep.

Harley had no answer, so she curled up and fell back asleep, waking up only the next morning. She leaned heavily into Zed, planting a wet kiss on his neck, then turned to kiss Red on the temple.

They slowly woke up and their hands started to sleepily pet her, running up her thigh, finding a breast all while groaning their morning hard-ons.

Zed shift slightly, allowing Harley to stretch out her legs a little more and Red took the cue, parting her legs and finding the sweet wet spot that instantly had her breathless with anticipation.

As Red kissed her clitoris, Zed latched onto a nipple, sending wave after wave of luscious euphoria coursing through her body.

Her sweet orgasm warmed her, filled her, but she still wanted more. “Fuck me,” she called out.

  “Who?” Zed said.

“Either one of you. I don’t care. Just fuck me.”

Red shifted up and dipped his cock in for a few strokes before his brother pushed his off and took a dip himself.

As Zed found satisfaction deep inside her, she led Red down another path to his climax. She took him into her mouth and let the warmth of her tongue satisfy him.

“What a great start to the day,” Zed said as he crawled off her and headed to the shower.

“I wouldn’t mind starting the day like this every single morning.”

Harley watched Zed walk off then looked to Red. It was almost as if the past year had not happened at all; not the incident at the gallery, not all the humiliation, the anger, the resentment.

  They were back on track.

But as she spent more and more time with them over the coming weeks, she learned more and more about them as individuals.

When she arrived at their room the next night, she found Red alone with an elegant dinner set up.

“What’s all this?” she said when she saw the table.

Long tapered candles set in a beautiful silver candelabra were lit, throwing a warm glow over the white linen tablecloth and the gold trimmed china.

“It’s just a little something to celebrate our first month since finding each other again.” He poured some white wine into a fine crystal glass.

“Oh, Red,” she said. “That’s so sweet. I hadn’t even realized it’d been a month.”

“Exactly a month since I first offered to help you with your magic.” He handed her the glass

“Wow,” she said taking the glass and trying a sip. “It’s gone by so fast.”

“I’ll take that as a compliment. I guess I’m making learning all this stuff a little more fun.”

Harley took a big sip of wine and laughed. “I guess you could look at it that way.”

“Why don’t you sit back and relax. Dinner should be ready in about twenty minutes.”

  “What are you making?”

  “Pasta
with a rich white sauce and sautéed shrimp.”

“Hmm, sounds yummy.” She pulled her chair back, but as she was about to sit down she saw a small box wrapped in white and silver wrapping paper. “What’s this?”

Red glanced over his shoulder at her. “Oh, just a little something for you.”

  “What is it?”

“Well, open it up, silly, and you’ll see.”

Smiling, she pulled the silver ribbon off then tore the paper apart. She opened the small box to find a beautiful pink agate set in platinum. “Red, this is gorgeous.”

“Not only is it pretty,” he said as he came up beside her. “But it has special properties. It brings peace of mind and it has a way of keeping negative vibes away.”

  “Wow. How cool.”

  “I found that stone myself.”

“Really,” Harley said, running her finger over the smooth surface of the stone.

“Out in the desert,” he went on. “There’s a place where you can find some pink agates, or purple pink agates, if you know where to look. That’s the biggest piece I’ve ever found.”

“I didn’t know the desert held such beauties.”

“If you want, maybe I can drive you out to my favorite spot and we can dig for some. It’s a beautiful place. Joshua trees, cactus, the mountains. We could bring a lunch and make a day of it.”

Harley looked at him and smiled. It sounded like a great plan. “I think I’d like that. I’ve lived in Vegas for a long time, but I’ll admit that I haven’t spent a lot of time out in the desert.”

“Well then, it’s about time you did.” He set a green salad on the table. “How about this weekend? It’s supposed to be sunny and cool.”

  “Sounds like a plan.”

  ***

Saturday morning Harley and Red got into his jeep and set out into the high desert.

“It’s a beautiful day,” Harley said as she looked out at the passing scenery.

“Did you bring your paints and canvas like I told you?”

“Yeah. Thanks for suggesting it. I never really thought of the desert as being pretty. But It’s so beautiful out here. I look forward to putting all down on canvas. I want to do my best to capture it.”

Red pulled off the paved road and took a weaving dirt road that led further into the desert. “There’s a small box canyon just beyond that pass. Not many people go there. The terrain gets a little rough. You can’t get there without a high-clearance vehicle.”

The nice dirt road became rockier and soon it was barely a road at all. Harley gripped the seat a few times and held her breath as they drove over deep crevices, sandy washes and impressive boulders.

Finally, Red stopped the jeep. “Here we are.”

Smiling, Harley looked at the tall canyon walls that surrounded them. The early morning sun cast fascinating shadows and lit up the colorful wall.

“This is gorgeous, Red. Really gorgeous.” She got out of the vehicle and pulled her paints and canvas out of the back seat.

“Why don’t you set up your paints wherever you see fit and I’ll start digging around.” Red pulled a small pick and shovel out of the back of the jeep.

To the sound of him tapping away at the rocky wall, Harley set up a small easel, put the largest canvas she had on it and prepared her paints.

It was a calm and quiet morning and Harley quickly started putting paint to her canvas. She wanted to capture the well-lit stone wall before the sun shifted too far.

In a matter of minutes, she had the basic outline down and enough of the coloring and highlights to be able to do the rest even without the bright sun.

“Found one,” Red called from the wall. He came to her with the walnut-sized stone.

“That’s an agate?” she said with a frown. “It doesn’t look like what you gave me.”

Smiling, he looked at her. “They don’t come out of the ground all polished and cut.”

With a wry grin, she took the stone from his hand. “Well, I know that.”

“Do you, now?” he said, teasing.

She chuckled. “Anyway, it’s still rather pretty, even in its raw state.”

“Not as pretty as your painting.”

She turned back to the unfinished painting. “I find painting rocks special. There’s an odd and relaxing way of throwing the paintbrush around that creates these great shadows and light. I love it. I never thought I would enjoy painting a rock wall. I thought I would try to paint a few Joshua trees or something, but I think this is turning out pretty nice.”

“Then I guess we both found what we were looking for out here.”

  “I guess we did.”

  “Hungry?”

“Well, yeah,” she said hesitantly. “But I don’t really want to head back into town yet. I was kind of hoping we could stay out here until sunset.”

“No problem,” he said as he headed back to his jeep. “I brought a huge picnic basket. We probably have enough in here for lunch and dinner, and we could even invite a few coyotes and jackrabbits.”

  “You always think of everything.”

He pulled a large basket out of the jeep and came back to her. “I guess you could say that I’m the well-organized, thoroughly planned out twin, whereas Zed in the impulsive, fly by the seat of your pants type.”

  He grew solemn suddenly.

  “What is it?” Harley said.

Shrugging, he set the huge picnic basket down on a large flat stone. “I don’t know. Sometimes, I guess I envy Zed’s ability to just go at the drop of a hat. I have to plan and think it over, consider the options, consider the consequences. Consider every little thing. I know it often drives Zed crazy, but it even drives me nuts sometimes, but I still can’t help myself.”

“So,” Harley said, not understanding why this made his so sad. “What’s wrong with that?”

He shrugged again and pulled out various containers of salads, spreads and bags of crispy, crusty bread. “It makes me a fuddy duddy. Boring. I’m predictable.”

  “You’re reliable.”

  “I’m dull.”

Harley grabbed his chin and turned his face to him. “You are far from dull, Red. There’s nothing wrong with being a planner or with taking precautions. Come on. Look at this. If you hadn’t planned for today, we’d be back on campus just fiddling around. I wouldn’t be looking at this marvelous canyon, watching the play of sun as it travels across the sky. If you hadn’t planned this enormous feast, we would have to leave soon because I’d be starving, but now we can stay for hours. You have that high-clearance vehicle that brought us all the way out here. If you hadn’t planned ahead, we might have taken your car, and then where would we be? Back there on the blacktop?”

He smiled and leaned in to kiss her. “You sure know how to make a guy feel great.”

She kissed him back, eager to feel the warmth of his lips again. He pulled her into his arms, kissing her passionately. His hands sneaked up into her shirt and gently fondled her breast.

Groaning, she leaned against him, opening herself to him. All that was missing from this perfect day out in the desert was making love to him.

And he quickly obliged. He pulled off her jeans, then pushed down his, pulling out his cock. Harley left the warmth of his kiss and turned her back to him, inviting him with her ass.

He patted it gently, then swatted it with a bit more force. “You have such a sweet ass.”

She swayed her hips back and forth, her ass cheeks brushing against the tip of his hardened shaft.

“Ooh, baby,” Red said with a heavy breath. “You get me so hot. Look at the hard-on you give me.” He grabbed his cock and tapped her ass with it.

“Show me just how hard you really are, Red.”

“Oh, yeah.” He drove his cock deep inside her, letting out a long slow breath as her warmth enveloped him. “Oh, yeah.”

He took on a steady rhythm that quickly took on an urgent cadence just as Harley’s own orgasm became imminent. Together, they climaxed, their erotic
cries echoing against the canyon walls and coming back to them again and again.

  ***

In sharp contrast to her quiet picnic out in the desert with Red, the following Tuesday Harley found herself pinned to the ground by Zed.

“You’re going to have to train harder,” Zed said as he stood and offered her his hand to help her up.

Getting to her feet, she looked at him. “We’ve been going at this for over two hours, Zed. I’m trying the best that I can.”

  “Let’s go at it again.”

He stood back a few feet, waited a beat then lunged at her. She did her best to fight him off, wrestling him to the ground, only to have him topple her over and pin her to the ground again.

Keeping his weight on her, he looked into her eyes. “I thought it’d be better to do this outside, in the grass. Do you think it’d be better if we moved this inside?”

Harley looked around at the surrounding dorms. “Well, if anyone is looking at us from their window, I’ll admit to being a little embarrassed.”

He rubbed his nose against hers. “There’s nothing to be embarrassed about. They know it’s me you’re up against. Now, it would really be embarrassing if you were pinning me down.”

He got off her and helped her up. “Let’s try it again.”

“I don’t really see how the outcome could be different.”

“Concentrate. Keep your eyes on me. We’ve been through this three times now. You know how I operate. You know a few of my moves, my techniques. While I’m far from predictable, especially in battle, I have been repetitive today with you.”

“Yeah. And you’ll probably change techniques now that you’ve told me.”

“Try and see.” He stepped back, waited, then pounced.

Harley ducked and backed out of the way, then jabbed her knee up into his gut. He let out a pain-filled grunt, grabbed his belly and staggered back, but quickly came back for more.

Harley jumped up and back, but this time he caught her and tossed her to the ground. “Told you we’d end up here again,” she said.

“Yeah, but it took a lot more work on my part this time.”
