"Tell me something, Jane. . .Do you honestly believe I'm a stupid man? Do you honestly believe that I don't know that both you and Devon Marx are in cahoots with one another, that he just didn't lose his gun. . .that, that same gun he supposedly lost instead ended up in your hands?" Jesus! my mind grieved. We were all totally fucked. I then shifted a sullen gaze at Parker and watched that knot in his throat throttle thus softening the next blow of his words. "Seriously, do you think I don't know about them trying to pull the wool over my eyes with this staged gang-rape? Hmm?"
But it was clearly in those words when the real fear grabbed a stern hold of my entire body that soon I felt more than the blood starting to drain from my face, my body, my arms, my legs right down to the tips of my toes until there was nothing left but a depleted corpse. And not only was I in fear for my life but for the lives of Dominic, Marx, Justin and Josh who, unbeknownst to them, were all very much standing at death's door, but in Andrew Parker's world, they were all knelt on broken knees, in the middle of a scorching desert with guns depressed against the back of their heads.
"So now that I figured that out, and quite correctly just by the weight of your gaze, I now pose this question to you: Did they take turns fucking you?"
"Fuck you!"
"Come again?"
"I said. . .fuck you."
"Of course you like being fucked, Jane, that's why I've taken the liberty of selling you - "
And that. . .caught my attention 'cause if there was one thing I knew most definite about Parker, it was his honesty. And that rarely, if not ever, faltered.
"What?"
"Ah, baby, don't look so glum," Parker crooned sheepishly, leaning into the side of my face and giving my left cheek a few tenderly kisses. "I mean, just look at it this way, you'll never, ever have to deal with us ever again. I mean, that is what you've always seemed to strive for, right? I mean, isn't that the reason why you run away from me? Why you give me and others so much grief 'cause you don't want to be with me, with us. I mean, I thought you'd be happy upon hearing the wonderful news?"
"You. . .you sold me?" I found myself instead uttering in disbelief, completely ignoring all that Parker had just said.
"Columbia has a nice ring, wouldn't you agree, Jane?"
"'Columbia'?" I repeated, scrunching my forehead completely confused. "You sold me to someone in. . .Columbia?"
"Yes. And not just to anybody, Jane. . .I mean, and after all, you are a Diamond. So it is only fair you go to someone with power."
"A drug dealer?"
"Hmm. . .not exactly a drug dealer, but a dealer none-the-less. . .So, yes. A dealer."
"You mean sex trafficker?"
"Not exactly. Let's just say he enjoys 'collecting' girls. . .Girls for his pleasure and for the pleasure of others. And three point five. . .well. . .that was my going rate for your problematic ass. Three point five million. . .cash. I figured at least I'd get something out of it. . .for all the grief you've caused me and then some."
"Get the hell away from me!" I disgustingly spat 'cause I couldn't believe his nerve - selling me as if I was still his piece of property. I was a human being. I had rights. And Parker had no right to sell me from underneath me. And the thought alone started to enrage me. But it was obvious that Parker did not harbor a single human compassionate bone in his body 'cause he just ignored me and continued his kissing on me.
"Stop!" I squirmed when Parker continued to kiss on me. "Stop!" I then repeated, slightly more adamant, trying hard to wriggle myself free from him despite the fact that my hands were still tied above my head. "Please. Stop!" I continued to plead, moving my face one way, then the other. "Please, please, stop!" my voice then started to pitch at a higher octane. And when I saw that Parker had no intention on letting up on me, I had no choice but to try and fight him off.
But in spite of all my squirming and body shrugging and leg kicking I still couldn't get Parker to stop kissing on me. And just as I thought things couldn't get much worse than Parker's kissing on me, Parker jumped on top of me and started ravaging my body. But since my body was half-restrained, semi naked and exposed, easily accessible for Parker to violate me a hundred ways, I was at a disadvantage.
As soon as I felt Parker's hands making their way down to the center split of my skirt, that's when I decided to fight for my sexual dignity no matter how absurd Parker might have thought it was considering that there was very little left. I mean, it took me this long to realize that I had had enough of Parker's physical, sexual, and emotional abuse; his total control over me, his taunting, his scheming, his berating, his lies - I mean, I had had enough!
"Stop moving, goddamn it!" Parker bitched 'cause I was refusing his advances. "Goddamn it!" he bitched a second time, this time belting me across the face.
"Stop! Please! No. Stop!" I pleaded and screamed as tears of anguish and anger gushed from my eyes. I mean, it felt like I was back at those motel rooms fighting off those filthy animals from my body with Parker proving he was no exception 'cause he was behaving erratically, incoherently, like if he was just some random "John" from off the street; throwing a tantrum like that John back at Jeanest's place 'cause I refused to fuck him a second time. I mean, the entire scene with Parker was just brutality unnerving.
"Stop! No! Please! No! Stop!" was all I kept vocalizing like I was some broken record; just spinning in a circle, going nowhere as if that record needle was Parker refusing to re-tune it.
"Fuck you!" Parker raged as his hands ripped into my blouse exposing my breasts. He then swept up one of my breasts into his mouth, sucking it hard, biting my nipple while his other hand squeezed and twisted my other breast. And the pain he was inflicting on them was so unbearable I started to cry out in pain.
"Fuck you!" Parker repeated while his hands and mouth continued to assault my breasts. "I bet you didn't fight like this when you were with Marx, or when Dominic and Justin and Josh were having their way with you! I bet you liked it! I bet you loved it! I bet you fucking begged for it, didn't you, you fucking little bitch!" Parker seethed, belting me a second time across the face before his hands ripped my skirt from my body.
"No! No! God, please, no!" I then wailed from the top of my lungs when Parker kneed my legs apart, his hands fumbling with the belt around his slacks.
"Shut the fuck up!" Parker yelled, grabbing my ripped panties from off the nightstand and shoving them into my mouth to keep me quiet. A partial of the panty's lacing accidentally gagged the back of my throat causing me to choke. And as I struggled desperately to breathe, to writhe myself out from beneath Parker's overbearing and overly dominating strength, and 'cause I was blinded by my pain and the beating of my heart drumming loud in my ears with Parker in the midst of raping me, I didn't hear the door to the motel room open nor did I see the two shadows making their way behind Parker until I glanced up.
Just beyond Parker's shoulder, and much to my shocking surprise 'cause my eyes had suddenly lit up - I actually thought I had seen a ghost.
For a split second there I wasn't sure if my eyes had deceived me or blinded me with this beautiful sight of an apparition I believed I'd never see again? It wasn't until I had fully convinced myself that what I had seen was very much real 'cause what was really happening to me was actually real that suddenly I had stopped fighting beneath Parker. I stopped screaming behind the stuffed panties in my mouth. As a matter-of-fact, my entire body went limp coercing Parker to glance down at me. And when his curious gaze met my awestruck one, it was in that moment Parker understood that it was all over. . .his raping of me, I meant.
"Get your filthy fucking hands off my fucking sister!" Jonah seethed pressing his gun firmly against the back of Parker's head; casually cocking the hammer behind a perfect set of teeth. It was obvious to Parker's blind spot that he clearly knew who was addressing him 'cause Parker bit down hard on his lower lip, popped both neck bones simultaneously prior to raising himself off of me with both hands pointing straight toward the sides of the air.
"Now get that shit out of my sister's mouth before I blow your fucking brains all over this fucking room!" Parker nodded and reached for the panties in my mouth and slowly pulled them out. I quickly pulled myself from beneath Parker's semi-naked body and curled my legs way up to my chest while I struggled to breathe.
"You alright, Janie," Jonah then asked me with a great urgency of concern. I nodded, gasping a few times for air. "Dom," Jonah then gestured Dominic toward me. "Please," he then retorted politely while Dominic wasted no time peeling off his leather jacket and placing it over my trembling body. Dominic then reached for the thin ropes still wrapped around my wrists and quickly untied them, at last freeing me. My hands felt numb and heavy particularly down to my sides. I was also having difficulty getting off the bed. So Dominic quickly helped me to my feet, and helped me into his jacket which was warm and smelled just like his signature cologne thus bringing about the old times. I caught a glimpse of Dominic's hand, noticing that the disfigurement in the three of his fingers never quite healed correctly, and I was responsible for that. Dominic caught my regretted expression and merely replied, "Later." the code for: We'll talk about it later. I nodded and shifted an anxious, yet elated glance at Jonah. He, too, caught my expression and merely smiled.
"She good? You got her?" Jonah queried Dominic with Dominic nodding assuringly. "Get off the fucking bed!" Jonah then ordered Parker. Parker stiffened a nod and did as Jonah instructed.
Once Parker was back on his feet, Jonah then ordered for him to get down on his knees. Again Parker did as Jonah instructed. Once down on his knees however, Parker made it a point to look at Dominic.
"So this is how it is, Brother?" Parker inquisitioned. And Dominic not showing any signs of regret for siding against his own blood instead pointed his gun at Parker.
"It would appear so. . .Brother. I did not enter this business, Andy, to suffer for your greed."
"I'm very disappointed in you, little Brother. I want you to know that every time you look at your fucking hand!"
Dominic put down his gun and abruptly stomped in Parker's direction. "On your fucking hands and knees, Pig!" Dominic then brazenly scowled down at Parker. Parker smirked and dropped to his hands. Dominic pointed his gun to Parker's left hand and shot it. I gasped, slapping both hands over my mouth while Jonah stood there casually looking down at Parker, watching in amusement as Parker wailed in pain like an animal.
Dominic quickly knelt down in front of Parker. And instead of him showing pity for his eldest brother's demise, he instead grabbed Parker by his hair and forced Parker to look at him.
"And I want you to know, big Brother, that every time you look down at your hand you'll know just how disappointed I was in you. Say 'Hi' to pops for me." Dominic sassed, abruptly letting go of Parker's hair and standing back up. "We got to go. More men will be showing up," he then urged Jonah. Dominic turned back around and headed back toward me while Jonah wasted no time cold-cocking Parker in the back of his head with his gun, knocking Parker unconscious. Dominic slipped an anxious arm around my body and rushed me out of the motel room with Jonah trailing closely behind.
I was surprised that I was rushed straight out into a dimly lit corridor and not straight out onto a parking lot. As we headed down the corridor, we bypassed a young couple, then after, an older gentleman. And I noticed that the three looked at us pretty oddly as we rushed past them, and that was in part of because I still appeared distressed and both Dominic and Jonah were brandishing guns.
We made a quick left, veering around another dimly lit corridor and bypassed more people with those people also looking at us oddly. Instead of taking the elevator, we instead bypassed it and took the flight of stairs down two floors until we ended up walking out beneath a covered parking lot; and to my surprise, it was daylight out.
"Here," Dominic said pushing me into Jonah's grasp. "Put her in the car before others see her." Jonah nodded and lead me toward an awaiting black Suburban with tinted windows and stock wheels and Louisiana plates parked no more than twenty feet from us. Jonah quickly opened the back driver's side door and helped me into the backseat. Once Jonah took his seat beside me and all was safe, Josh slammed on the gas pedal, made a sharp left and headed toward a couple of other black SUV's shielding a group of men down on their knees and their hands tied behind their backs. Two of the seven men were Bob Ray and Abel. And I couldn't believe how much pleasure I took in seeing those two fucks bounded on their knees like the fucking filthy animals they were.
Josh skidded the Suburban to a halt just behind Justin, Dominic and Marx who all had guns trained on Parker's men. And instead of them letting all the men be, they each put a bullet through the thighs of the men, including Bob Ray and Abel thus handicapping them from going anywhere. And though I expected to hear the echo of gun shots ricocheting off the surrounding cars and the base of the five story motel, the shots were instead silenced only 'cause the guns were equipped with silencers which explained how quiet Dominic's gun sounded when he shot Parker in the hand.
Then, and literally from out of nowhere, another SUV skidded to a halt along side the Suburban and opened fire on us.
"SHIT!" Both Josh and Jonah belted with Jonah rushing me to the Suburban's floor.
"Goddamn it!" Jonah bitched amidst the hail of gunfire. "We need to get the fuck out of here! Now!"
"Take the fucking vehicles!" Josh yelled out to Justin, Dominic and Marx whom were in the midst of firing back at the SUV, using the Suburban as a shield.
I had expected to hear the sound of shattering glass all around me but there was none. Then I focused my attention to the Suburban's frame and noticed it hadn't been pierced anywhere. And while I expected to hear bullets flying through the vehicle, I instead heard the bullets bouncing off the vehicle. Then it hit me: the Suburban was completely bullet proofed. Then I remembered the plates off the Suburban: "Louisiana"; then it occurred to me that this was one of Viktor's vehicles.
"Are they in?" Jonah pressed Josh as the gunfire continued.
"They are now." Josh said after a few strenuous seconds had passed.
"Well floor the bitch!" Jonah shrilled. "Let's get the fuck on out of here!" Josh again, slammed on the gas pedal this time with the Suburban fishtailing straight out of the parking lot.
I tried to sit back up once the Suburban was in motion but Jonah insisted that I continue to remain where I was, siding my safety. I didn't argue but I did however, flinch continuously as the bullets continued to pound into the Suburban as we sped through the streets eventually ending up on a highway that seemed to be less frequented 'cause the Suburban was no longer dodging in and out of traffic 'cause I was no longer feeling nauseated with all the unanticipated maneuvering.
"We need to get that fucking vehicle off our tail!" Josh urged Jonah. "We're going to have troops on our ass if we don't!" Jonah nodded and turned his attention to the back seat I was pressed up against and he was kneeling on.
"Here," Jonah then said handing me his gun which I took without hesitation. "Careful. The safety's off." I nodded, keeping the gun a few inches away from me.
From the corner of my eye, I watched the back rest to the back seat convert into an artillery complete with a rocket launcher which absolutely blew my mind. Jonah quickly snatched up the rocket launcher and gave the chamber a quick inspection. Satisfied, he then positioned the launcher toward the back of the Suburban's window.
"Hit the back window!" Jonah ordered Josh from over his shoulder. "Muffle your ears, Janie," Jonah then said to me with a wink. I settled Jonah's gun aside and slammed my hands over both my ears and squeezed my eyes tight. And within a matter of seconds, Jonah fired the rocket launcher, and the last thing I heard was this faint explosion. And without thinking, particularly about my safety since this chaos was all about my safety, I quickly jumped up to my knees and glanced out the back window. There was a plume of black smoke bellowing in the distance and a black SUV following closely behind us.
"Fuck!" I mustered with my adren
aline coming to a slow pulse
"It's better than being 'fucked'!. . .Wouldn't you agree, Sis?" Jonah then countered with one of them 'Glad you could make it' smiles.
Chapter 15
I was surprised to learn that we were still in St. Louis when that shit with Parker and the gun battle went down. Now here the six of us were, two days later, heading west toward the Canadian border.
It was Jonah who decided that we head into Canada 'cause he claimed it was neutral ground for him, and there were a few safe houses we could hide out in; enough to allow this thing with Parker to blow over. From what I heard, and what Jonah has told me, Parker and his Organization are not very well liked in Canada so we had an advantage.
In the last forty-eight hours I did make an attempt to talk with Jonah to ask questions about that day in New Orleans. I also tried to ask questions about our family, the past, and what Parker's deal was with Sissy but Jonah didn't care to have those conversations with me so I was pretty much left in the dark. It just seemed that Jonah, along with the rest of the guys, just seemed more preoccupied with crossing the Canadian border than having conversations with me much less, one another.
The majority of times no one talked except to lend a suggestion. The guys instead took turns driving, and it was non-stop, only stopping to use the restroom or grab a bite to eat.
We slept in the Suburban instead of motels as we were trying to avoid surprised confrontations since Parker and his men always appeared to be one step ahead of us.
I had asked questions about Parker as well but Dominic, Justin and Josh really didn't care to divulge any information either. So again, I was left in the dark. I also went on to inquire about Anna and Bree, and yet again, I was in the dark. And it was by that point I decided to keep my mouth shut.
So here we were driving through another backwoods country, one day closer to Canada. We were passing the very last of miles leading into Idaho. I was sitting with my head and my gaze to the passing country when my thoughts unconsciously reverted back to the motel room where I had that brief conversation with Parker about him selling me. And I don't know why that conversation came about. I figured that since we were driving through barren land I was suddenly reminded of Columbia.
