Diamond (The Heirs Series Book 2) Page 24

by D. Camille

  “Xavier…”

Diamond pulled at his shirt, and he lifted his head momentarily for her to pull it off, before it landed on top of hers on the floor.

Placing both hands on her waist, Xavier lifted her from her feet and moved her to the bed. When Diamond felt the mattress against her back, she stared into his face above hers. Xavier licked his lips before kissing her mouth, then began moving lower and releasing her contained breasts.

Diamond arched her back, as his tongue pleasured her aching nipples. Watching his dark head move lower, she moaned softly when he rubbed his face in the cradle between her legs. Diamond didn’t protest when he removed her leggings, sliding them down her long, curvy legs.

“The Gods!” she whispered when his mouth returned to her body, tasting her woman’s core.

Xavier looked up at her whispered cry, and gave her a sexy smile. “Yes, they’ve sent me…”

The rest of the Heirs sat in the lounge with Alex on the line, going over their notes and perfecting their next moves.

Six looked at his watch. “I wonder how that talk is going?” he commented.

Lilac smiled. “I haven’t heard any yelling or furniture breaking, so I guess it’s going well.”

Alex remained silent as they continued. He’d tuned out from his twin several minutes earlier.

Justice frowned. “I hope they don’t make me act up.”

“Is there a time when you don’t?” Six asked.

  “Keep talking…”

Six laughed at his cousin and went back to his work.

“I’m going to check in with Ciara and see what’s up with her.” Justice told him.

“Cool,” Six replied. “When Xavier returns we can fill him in.”

Jade shook her head. “I hope Diamond doesn’t hurt him.”

Skye smiled. “I don’t think that hurting Xavier is on her agenda.”

Alex interrupted the conversation to change the subject. “Justice, when you talk to Ciara, try to get some more personal information. We’re coming up empty on her.”

  Justice frowned. “Damn…okay.”

Jade agreed. “She’s using some type of alias…”

“Let me holla at her,” Justice said, taking out his device.

Moving away from the group, Justice called Ciara and she answered on the third ring.

  “Hello?”

  “Ciara, it’s Justice.”

“Hi, Justice…” she replied. “How’s your trip going?”

Justice sat back. “Good, what’s up with your crew?”

“They’re partying in the front, but I’m in the back chilling,” she answered. “What about you?”

“Just enjoying the ride. Wanted to check in with you…”

She smiled on the other end. “You miss me?”

Justice chuckled. “Yeah, I guess you could say that.”

  “Well I’m glad you called,”

“So, while we’ve got time riding on these buses, why don’t you tell me about your little sexy self?” Justice probed.

  “You know all about me…”

“Girl, I don’t know anything about you. You could be a damn spy…” he told her.

“I gave you some ‘X’ for your associate remember…what kind of spy would do that?” Ciara rebutted.

“One that was trying to get me to trust them…”

  “You don’t trust me?”

  Justice frowned. “Hell nah…”

“Okay baby, what I gotta do for you to trust me?” Ciara purred.

“I just want to know who I’m dealing with, that’s all.” Justice replied. “Don’t you think that’s fair?”

She sighed. “Two questions…and I’ll answer.”

  “Only two?”

  “Make them count.”

  Justice paused. “Okay…let me think.”

  “I’ll wait…”

A few seconds later, he asked, “Question one, where are you from?”

  “Philly.”

“So you’re going home for out next stop?” Justice inquired.

  “Is that your other question?”

He laughed. “Nah, that was a follow-up.”

  “I didn’t say I’d answer follow-ups.”

“Okay, second question…is Ciara your real name?”

  “No.”

Justice frowned. “What is it then?”

She chuckled. “You should’ve asked that.”

“So I have to go around calling you by a name that’s not yours?” Justice asked.

  “Is your name really Justice?”

  “Hell yeah,”

She waited. “And do you really have access to a private plane?”

“More than one…” Justice replied. “But I’m not about to supply anything to somebody that I don’t even know their real name. Now that’s just stupid as hell…”

There was a silence. “But you would do it, if you trusted me?” she asked quietly.

“What do you need a plane for, Ciara?” Justice questioned gently.

  “It’s Jasmine,”

  Justice smiled. “Thank you, Jasmine.”

“I need to move something, and I need to get it far away from here,” she explained.

  “When do you need it?”

  “When we get to Ohio…”

  He felt a twinge. “Ohio?”

  “Yes, can you do that?”

  “What am I moving?”

“I can’t tell you that, yet.”

  Justice frowned. “Why not?”

“It might put you in danger…” Jasmine answered.

  “Are you in danger?”

She sighed. “I don’t care about that.”

“Hell, I do…” Justice replied. “Let me help you.”

“I need a plane, Justice.” She pleaded.

“Okay, baby…I’ll need to know when and where.” Justice told her. “And what size plane do you need?”

Jasmine was quiet. “Promise that you won’t change your mind…”

“I’m in this…I promise,” Justice vowed.

“I’ll need to move several bodies…”

Diamond laid on the bed in her bra and panties, while Xavier kissed her neck and caressed her skin, still clad in his jeans.

“I still don’t agree with your plan,” she told him.

“I wasn’t trying to persuade you,” Xavier said against her flesh.

  Diamond smiled. “That’s scary…”

Xavier lifted his head and looked down at her. “Do you still have doubts about us being involved?

Holding his eyes, she answered, “We’re going to bump heads. You’re strong-willed and so am I…”

“That’s why we fit.” Xavier told her. “I never want to change you.”

“You want me to agree with you,” Diamond pointed out.

  “When I’m right…yes.”

She looked away. “I clearly don’t always think you’re right.”

Xavier turned her face back. “And that’s okay…but when it’s my call, I need you to follow even if you don’t like it.”

“And when it’s my call?” she asked.

“I’ll do the same.” He promised. “Can we agree to that?”

Diamond stared at him. “I’ve just come home to you and I don’t want to lose you if shit goes wrong.”

“I feel the same way, Goddess. That’s why I’m doing things this way…if you think about it, you know I’m right.” Xavier told her.

She touched his face. “We’ll see, won’t we?”

He smiled and looked over her partially nude body. “I should probably get back out there with the team.”

“You didn’t finish eating,” Diamond pointed out, seeing the plates next to the bed.

Xavier licked his lips. “Yeah…I did.”

She reached lower to fondle him. “I don’t know if I’m going to make it back to LA before I experience all of this…these little samples have me starving for the whole meal.”
>
“Keep touching me like that and you’re going to get dinner and dessert on this bus, with your brother on the other side of the door.” Xavier warned.

  “He’d really call Daddy, then…”

Xavier kissed her lips. “They’re going to have to get used to it eventually, because I’ll be loving my Goddess in every way, every chance that I get.”

Diamond felt the warm skin of his back and returned his kiss completely.

“Now, we won’t ever bump heads on that, baby,” she agreed, against his moist lips.

Xavier dragged himself away from the bed and retrieved their clothing. He handed Diamond her garments, then replaced his shirt. When he was done, he watched her put her clothes back on then closed his eyes to bury the memory of her beautiful body.

Diamond finished, then stood in front of him. “What are you thinking?” she asked.

His eyes opened and he stared down into her face. “How beautiful you are…how badly I want to lay you in that bed and finish all that we started.” Xavier brushed her neck with a hand. “I’m thinking of how you feel in my arms and the sweet aroma of your body.”

She smiled up at him. “I shouldn’t have asked…”

One last kiss and Xavier picked up his still full plate and left the room. Walking back out, he joined the team and sat at the table, where Six, Skye, Jade and Lilac were working.

Jade looked over at him. “Is Diamond okay?” she asked.

Xavier nodded, and began eating his cold food. “Yes,”

“You didn’t eat together?” Lilac asked.

  “No,”

Skye smiled. “Is she on board now?”

Xavier looked up at her and smiled. “We’ll see…”

Six shook his head, and focused on his screen. “Is she going to sabotage the plan?”

“No, I’m not…” Diamond said entering the lounge. “I would never do that.”

She joined them at the table with her full plate and the other women looked from Diamond to Xavier.

“So you’re good?” Six asked Diamond.

Diamond glanced at Xavier. “Yes, I’m very good.”

Six looked up and turned from one to the other, then shook his head again and went back to his screen.

Justice entered the lounge and looked at the group.

  “What’d you get?” Jade asked.

He plopped down on a nearby sofa. “Ciara’s real name is Jasmine and she’s from Philly.”

Jade nodded. “Good, that’s a start. What else?”

“She would only answer two questions,” he explained.

Six frowned. “What kind of damn games are you two playing?”

Justice shrugged. “This is her party, I’m just a guest.”

“What else did she say, Justice?” Diamond questioned.

“She needs a plane when we get to the Ohio stop,” Justice told them and Xavier frowned.

“A plane for what?” Six asked.

Justice shook his head. “This girl wants to move some bodies…”

  “Bodies?!” they all exclaimed.

“What the hell, Justice?” Diamond demanded. “Dead or alive?”

“She clammed up and wouldn’t say.” Justice told them. “I promised her that I’d get her a plane, and she’s going to get me the information of where and when she wants it.”

Diamond looked at Xavier. “See, what I’m talking about? Unexpected factors…”

He nodded. “I hear you and that’s why we’re working on all of this now, before we make any moves.”

“Is she dumping bodies for someone?” Six wondered.

“If she is, for who?” Diamond asked. “And why would they need to get a plane from Justice?”

Xavier agreed. “That’s what we need to find out.”

“I’ll handle that,” Diamond informed them, firmly.

The team looked at Six, then at Xavier.

Diamond lifted a brow at Xavier. “Is this my call?”

  He nodded. Yes, Goddess…”

She winked at him and went back to her food.

“Don’t shoot her, Diamond,” Justice told his sister. “I don’t think she’s dangerous.”

“We’ll see…won’t we?” Diamond replied. “She’s playing games with you, but she’s about to meet the damn Coach.”

  Chapter 20

The next stops moved quickly with the Heirs all focused on their individual tasks. Xavier was switching between the X-Ception and himself, Six was working on coordination, Lilac, Jade, and Skye were watching Lil D and any young girls who joined that crew, while Diamond and Justice were angling on Jasmine, and Alex was supporting from LA.

The team had made it to Ohio and were briefing for the last time before the night’s events. Sitting on their bus, they all gathered around the lounge before the X-Ception’s performance in a couple of hours.

  “Is everybody ready?” Xavier asked.

They all agreed and he continued.

“Let’s recap how this goes…” he began. “There’s a recruiter that seeks out the donor. I’m the recruiter and Justice is the donor. Then there’s the transporter of the organs, and the staff at the hospital or clinic that receives the organs and the medical staff who perform the transplants. There are the middlemen, contractors, buyers, and the tissue banks that store the organs.”

“Right now the middlemen we’ve identified are Lil D and Jason. There’s still this mysterious Snowman who is most likely connected to our buyers. Although, we’ve got an ID on Jasmine, thanks to Diamond’s work…” He looked at Diamond and she smiled. “We’re going to let Jasmine play her hand out completely, just in case we’re wrong.”

Justice agreed. “I’m hoping we’re not wrong.”

  Diamond lifted a brow. “We’ll see…”

Six chimed in. “Devices on, chains in place and make sure you communicate with the team. Alex, you’ll track all locations?”

“I have everybody on radar,” Alex replied.

Xavier looked at his watch. “Lil D is going to give me the location after the performance, so we’re going to have very little time to move. Justice and I will go in. We have some agents as back up.” He explained. “Lilac, Jade and Skye, will keep eyes on Lil D, while Diamond and Six will track Jasmine’s whereabouts until it’s time to deal with them.”

  “We’re ready,” Jade told him.

Six nodded. “Jade, what should we be looking out for with this Snowman?”

“This guy is high up, and I don’t know if it’s a description or a nickname. Nothing really fits with all of the names I’ve checked out from both John Brown and Steph’s list. Maybe I’m missing something, but I’m still working on it.” Jade explained.

“We’ll flush him out,” Xavier said supportively. “He’ll show himself eventually.”

Diamond agreed and said, “I’m sure he has connections to the guy Jason was talking to, if it wasn’t him.”

“We’ve checked out everyone that Jason has contacted from the rehab facility. It’s been mostly his family and his office.” Six commented. “He probably knows it’s too hot for him to contact anyone else right now and he’s unsure of what Diamond overheard.”

“He’s probably scared that Diamond is going to show up and kick that ass again,” Jade joked.

Xavier shook his head. “Diamond is the least of his worries at this point. He shouldn’t even work too hard on that rehab…it’s a waste of time.”

Six scanned the room with serious brown eyes. “It’s time to go to work. Everyone makes it back to the bus…period.”

They looked from one to the other, as Six said, “Why do we do this?”

“We do it for the culture…”

  ******

The X-Ception finished his last song then met Diamond and Six off stage. The trio headed to his dressing room where the others were waiting and Xavier stopped Diamond with a hand on her arm.

  “We’ll be right there, Six.”

Six gave them a look, then began to walk away.
Five minutes…” he told them.

Xavier turned his attention to Diamond, and pulled her aside. “Thank you, for being on board with the plan.”

Diamond touched his bearded face. “Everyone makes it back to the bus…”

He nodded slowly, placing a hand on her waist. “Period.”

She traced his lips with a finger. “Let’s kick some ass.”

“Then after, we’re going home,” Xavier told her.

“I can’t wait.” Diamond agreed. “There’s so much waiting there for me,”

Xavier stared down at her. “For us…”

“Yes, my gift from the Gods…for us.” Diamond corrected, then lifted on her toes to place her lips against his.

When they entered the dressing room, Justice frowned at them. “Are y’all focused, because my organs are on the line?”

A minute later, there was a knock on the door and Xavier made his way over to open it. He saw one of Lil D’s crew.

“What up?” Xavier asked. “You got what I need?”

The guy nodded and handed him a piece of paper, then walked away quickly. Xavier took the paper, then closed the door and turned to the group. He unfolded it and read the message.

“This address in an hour with the donor,” he announced.

“Xavier, stay in tune…” Alex told his twin.

“I will.” He replied then surveyed the room. “Let’s go.”

Justice sat in the car with Xavier as they arrived at the destination.

“What is this place?” Justice asked.

Xavier looked around. “Looks like a clinic. It’s closed now.”

“They actually do this out of a real damn doctor’s office?” Justice questioned.

“Looks like it.” Xavier replied. “You ready?”

Justice nodded before Xavier exited the car. He then snatched Justice out of the other side, in case they were being watched. Xavier stepped behind Justice and placed his gun in his back.

  “Dude, that’s my back.”

“Walk…” Xavier told him and they headed to the entrance.

Going around the back as instructed, Xavier banged on the door then waited with Justice.

A minute later, it cracked and a head peeked out.

  “What?” the gruff voice asked.

“Da Snowman sent me,” Xavier replied. “I’m the X-Ception.”
