He shook his head, and when it dawned on him what that meant, he had one mission: to fuck her so well she forgot all about those three years and all the lame idiots that came before him.
“Gabi,” he said, hovering just above her. He dropped a kiss to her forehead, to her nose, to her lips. “We are going to make up for some lost time, okay?”
She smiled up at him and then slowly wrapped her legs around his waist. “Then get on with it.”
Growling, he ran his hands down her sides, found the center of her sex, and smiled when he felt how wet she was. He guided his cock to her opening, and she gasped and moaned as he entered her slowly.
“Fuck,” he growled. She was so tight, he couldn’t see straight. She was the most amazing thing he had ever felt. He wanted to slam into her, but he knew she needed time to stretch and adjust to his size before he could do that, but ... It. Was. Torture.
“Breathe,” he told her and caressed her cheek.
She nodded and took a breath as he pushed all the way inside her, letting out a guttural moan. No woman had ever felt like this. Ever. “Christ, Gabi, you feel so fucking good.” He could have come just from being inside her.
She took a moment to get used to the size of him, and the very moment he felt her relax around him, he began a slow rhythm that made her cry out.
Hearing her pleasure burst out of her was the most beautiful thing in the world, and his cries joined hers when she started working her hips up against his.
He felt dizzy, out of body with pleasure, and before he could control himself, he was rocking into her at full speed.
Their pleasure built so quickly that it only took a few moments before she was digging her nails into him and gripping his cock with an orgasm. It was the singular most amazing thing he had ever felt, and with one last push, he came too.
Shaking with ecstasy, he pulled her tightly to him and rolled them on their side so they could ride out their pleasure together, still connected.
Chapter 16
Gabi
Gabi held on to him as tight as she could. Waves of bliss rolled through her one after another. She could feel him shudder right along with her, and knowing that she had some part in his ecstasy made her feel like a goddess.
She had never had an orgasm like that before. She didn’t even know it was possible. To be honest, she always thought people were playing the whole thing up a bit. Turns out she was very, very wrong.
And now that she knew, as Mason swept his hand down her back, she wanted more. Had to have more.
Why not take it when she could get it? With a boldness she didn’t know she possessed, she drew her hand down his gloriously sculpted stomach and took him in her hands again.
He growled and she smiled as she felt him harden instantly in her fingers. “Ready for more, gorgeous?” He propped himself up on an elbow with a grin.
“Ready,” she answered and put her mouth on his shaft without waiting for permission.
The roar he let out emboldened her further, and she took him full in her mouth for a precious few minutes before he pulled her away, flipped her over, rolled on another condom, and buried himself in her again.
They had sex over and over, intensely, hungrily until they collapsed from sheer exhaustion.
Gabi couldn’t have moved if she wanted to. Every muscle in her body was refusing to work. So she allowed him to pull her into his massive arms as they started to drift off to sleep.
She knew she should leave, knew staying would only mean things might trend toward complicated. But without an ambulance or at least a wheelchair, there was no chance.
Just one night would be fine. Just one night in the arms of the man who had brought her more pleasure in one night than her ex-husband had in the five years she had known him. Tomorrow, she would re-set the boundaries. Tomorrow she would be better in control.
“No leaving,” he whispered sleepily as he spooned his sinful body against hers. “Don’t you dare.”
His words made her smile. She was grateful he couldn’t see it. “I couldn’t if I wanted to,” she whispered back.
“Perfect.” He settled his head down on the pillow next to hers. “Sleep good, gorgeous.”
“You too, handsome.”
“Ah, so the truth comes out.” He chuckled.
“Shut up and go to sleep or I’ll take it back.”
He kissed the back of her head. The gesture was so sweet it made her heart stop. “Yes, ma’am,” he answered softly and locked his arm around her.
She was in a deep, blissful sleep in minutes.
Two hours later, they were startled awake by the incessant ring of Gabi’s phone. They both sat straight up in surprise.
“My phone,” she said stupidly. “I don’t know where it is.”
“Got it,” he mumbled next to her, stumbling off the bed to retrieve it from her forgotten jeans. “Kylie,” he told her.
Oh shit. She hadn’t told her where she was going. She held her hand out for the phone but, to her horror, Mason answered it instead.
“Kylie,” he said, “to what do I owe the honor of this extremely early phone call?”
Gabi put her hands over her face and sunk back into the bed. She could hear Kylie’s excited tone from across the room.
“Yes, I have Gabi’s phone.” He looked up at her with a grin. “I also have Gabi.”
Kylie was never going to let her live this down. Never ever.
After a few more minutes, he handed her the phone. “She wants proof that you’re alive,” he explained.
She took it. “I’m sorry I didn’t let you know where I was. I’m alive,” she said, ready to get an earful.
Instead, Kylie inhaled sharply as if she were going to cry. “Gabi, I’m so happy for you, I can’t even stand it. Good for you, girl!”
“Thank you,” she answered softly.
“Go back to whatever you were doing,” she said. “But I expect full details tomorrow. No exceptions. I’ll bring the coffee.”
She smiled despite herself. “Good night, Ky.”
“Night, Gabs.”
She hung up the phone and looked up at Mason, who had sat down on the bed while she talked. “Sorry, I should have let her know where I was.”
He smiled. “No need to apologize. I’m glad you watch out for each other.”
“Me too.” She sat there for a moment trying to decide what to do. She should leave. She had some feeling back in her legs. But it was the very last thing she wanted to do when Mason and his warm bed were right there in front of her.
Mason made up her mind for her. He climbed under the sheets and tugged on her hand. “Come back, it was better with you against me.”
She flushed fiercely, felt her heart beat oddly, and just gave in.
“That’s better.” He sighed once she was all tucked up against him again.
And it was.
Mason
Mason was happily surprised to find Gabi still in his arms the next morning. He had felt her hesitance to stay with him, and he had been inexplicably desperate to keep her there. The fact that she had stayed made him beam at the ceiling.
He didn’t want to wake her. He would be perfectly happy just staying like this for the rest of his life. Especially after the absolutely mind-blowing sex they’d had the night before.
He’d never had a night like that in his life. She was wild and daring and almost unhinged at times. He had just kept wanting more. More of her lips, more of her body, more of her voice screaming his name into the darkness over and over again.
Jesus, he nearly came just thinking about it.
There had been something inside of him that had been hoping one night with her would be all it would take to get him back on the right track, because he never focused on a girl like this and he never ever, not once, let a girl stay the night.
But as the morning light started to brighten the room and he could see her beautiful body pink and sated, he knew he was going to need far more than one night.
r /> He absentmindedly ran his fingers down along the curve of her hip, and she woke up a few minutes later and turned to him with a smile. “Good morning.”
“Good morning, gorgeous.” He kissed her tenderly.
She moaned at the touch of his lips, and before either of them knew what was happening, he reached for a condom and was inside her again, this time moving slowly, savoring every second of it.
She was stunning in the morning light, more beautiful than anything he had ever seen, and watching her come, her cheeks pink, her fingers digging into his back, was a heaven he didn’t know existed.
After riding out this newest wave of pleasure, he pulled her to his chest again and they drifted off to sleep for a few more minutes.
Gabi startled awake to the sound of her alarm and sat up quickly.
God damn, he hated that fucking phone.
“Oh, shit,” she said, looking at the screen in panic. “I really have to go. I have a meeting with Mrs. Finch this morning.”
He groaned but pushed himself up and helped her find her clothes. He very definitely watched her bend over and scoop up her items. That ass was going to be the end of him.
“Enjoying the show?” she asked with a smile as she pulled her panties on.
“Just as much as you are,” he told her with a wink. He had caught her watching him too.
She reddened cutely but didn’t deny it.
When she finished dressing, she stood there awkwardly for a moment.
He hadn’t a clue what to say either.
“Um, thank you, Mason, for letting me come over ...”
He let out a laugh. “Believe me, Gabi, you can come over any fucking time you want to.” He hoped to God she would again. Or just stay forever. That would also be acceptable.
She smiled at him and answered, “Good to know,” before she started moving toward the door.
He wanted to ask when he’d see her again, if she’d have dinner with him, but he knew it wasn’t the right time. Not yet. Instead, he said, “Have a good day, gorgeous.”
“You too, Mason,” she said with a grin.
He followed her down to the front door bare-ass naked and managed to sneak in one more kiss before she slipped out of his house.
He watched her climb into her car, back down the driveway, and speed off wondering what in the absolute fuck he was going to do now.
Chapter 17
Gabi
“Don’t you think, Ms. Turner?”
Gabi blinked in confusion at Mrs. Finch. They were standing in the middle of the study and she hadn’t heard a single word she had just said. Her mind hadn’t been anywhere but on Mason Adams for the entire morning.
Kylie came to her rescue. “Oh, yes, we were just discussing widening the window yesterday,” she gave Gabi an urging look and a huge nod. “Remember how you were saying that it would really open up the space and let in more natural light?”
She was going to have to buy her dinner tonight for that save. “I do,” she recovered easily. “Also, if we push out the window, there would be enough room for a bench with a bit more storage. I’d add some vintage fabric for the seat, of course.”
“Oh I quite like that idea,” Mrs. Finch cooed, getting starry-eyed as she imagined the finished room.
Gabi sighed in relief and mouthed “thank you” to Kylie.
“Yes, I’ll send a message to the contractor so they can make changes to the plan.” She grinned. “I think the man might want to murder me as it is, but”—she fluttered her hands dramatically—“it’s my dream home. I want it like I want it.”
“Absolutely,” Kylie concurred.
“You deserve it,” Gabi added, drawing a smile from their client.
“You two are just lovely,” she remarked. “I’m so glad I took a chance on you.” She lowered her voice. “And that Mason Adams too ... mmm, that man.”
Kylie laughed and Gabi’s fingernails dug into her palms. The smile she offered could not have been a convincing one.
“Anyway, follow me,” Mrs. Finch said, changing the topic quickly as always. “I wanted you to walk me through the kitchen layout again, I’m having trouble envisioning the island.”
Gabi was just glad she changed the subject, and followed Mrs. Finch down the hall while she explained yet again that she needed a space for preparation and entertaining. Gabi didn’t think the woman had ever prepared anything in her life, but she refrained from saying as much.
By the time Mrs. Finch left the property, Gabi was dragging. The woman was exhausting and she hadn’t gotten the most restful night of her life. In fact, her entire body ached in a way that constantly reminded her of how Mason had filled her over and over again. It made her smile.
“Oh my God.” Kylie sighed, grabbing her arm. “We are going to lunch right now so you can tell me everything. I have never seen you look like this; you are glowing like a sex goddess.”
She couldn’t help but smile bigger. Maybe she was a sex goddess. Mason made her feel like one. “Okay, but only because you saved my ass back there.”
“That’s right I did,” she said and dragged her to the car.
In less than fifteen minutes they were at a random western-themed restaurant, being sat in a leather booth by a girl in a cowboy hat.
“What is this place?” Gabi asked, looking over the menu, which seemed to be mostly barbeque and steak.
Kylie shrugged. “I don’t know, it was the first place I saw, and I didn’t want to wait any longer to hear about your sex adventures.”
Gabi laughed. “Fine, but if the food is terrible, it’s your fault.”
“I won’t even notice,” she said, folding her menu and waiting impatiently for Gabi to do the same.
Once the waitress had taken their order and disappeared, Kylie pounced.
“Okay, tell me everything. How did you end up at Mason’s anyway?”
She grimaced a little. This was the hard part. She knew Kylie wouldn’t judge her for making up her mind to just go for it, but she still felt a little embarrassed that she had been the one to initiate. “I just texted him and asked if I could come over.”
Kylie stared at her. “No! Wait, really?”
“Really.” She began twisting her napkin into a sharp point. “I was lonely, and, Kylie, it’s been three years.”
“I know,” she soothed. “I know. I wouldn’t have lasted that long, especially with Mason coming on as strong as he has been. I’m proud of you.”
Gabi grinned. It would be a lie if she said it hadn’t made her feel a little powerful. It was definitely a new feeling for her.
Over the next half hour and surprisingly good barbeque, Gabi told her friend as much as she was comfortable telling about their night.
Kylie was speechless for a moment after she finished. Her brisket was practically untouched.
“You okay?” Gabi asked.
“I’m just so happy for you.” She sighed. “And a touch jealous, I’ll admit. When are you going to see him again?”
She shrugged. “I’ve no idea. We didn’t really make any plans, I had to rush out of there to get to the meeting in time.”
“Do you want to see him again?”
“Duh.”
She giggled. “I guess that was a stupid question.”
“Is it weird though, that I really just want to use him for sex?”
“Normally I’d say no,” she answered, “but I’m not sure if you’re capable of that, Gabs. You’re a relationship girl, the commitment type.”
That’s exactly what she was afraid of. She didn’t need that, didn’t want that. But if she had the opportunity to be in his bed again, she wasn’t going to pass it up.
She was fucked.
“On another note,” her friend interjected, “I have a date with Cruz on Saturday.”
“You do?” She perked up. “But I thought he lost that bet when the Cubs tanked it.”
Kylie smiled adorably. “He did, but he was so sad, I said I’d go out with him anyway.

She laughed. “Doesn’t hurt that he is hella beautiful.”
“No, it does not,” she agreed.
Mason
Concentrating on anything at work that day was not only difficult, it was impossible. Mason had ruined two pieces of wood before he gave up and went into his office to stare blankly at paperwork.
It was Gabi. He just couldn’t get her out of his mind. He could smell her, feel her, taste her. It was likely he was losing his mind.
He avoided Cruz because he didn’t want to have to talk about her. There wasn’t really any good way to put it into words anyway. Luckily, his friend chalked it up to a bad mood and went on his way, out-producing Mason by a thousand.
When his phone buzzed early that afternoon, he grabbed for it and swiped the screen, shocked to find his heart pounding.
The level of disappointment he felt when he saw Dom’s name was astounding. Why didn’t she want to talk to him? Most women he slept with sent some sort of “Thanks for last night, we should do it again” text. But not Gabi. With her it was a brick wall of disappointment.
DOM: Hey man, meeting Seb after work later to discuss the bachelor party, you in?
MASON: Sure man, where and when?
He didn’t want to, but it sure beat sitting at home alone waiting for a text that wouldn’t come. Jesus, when had he turned into a sixteen-year-old girl?
DOM: Oscar’s, 8:00.
MASON: I’ll be there.
He set the phone down with a sigh and bit out a “fuck” when he realized he had promised Dom he’d do research on venues for the party. He’d done exactly none.
It was now or never. At least he had some time.
Before he got to researching, he picked up the phone and sent a quick text to Gabi. He told himself it was the chivalrous thing to do and had nothing to do with the fact that he wanted to hear from her.
MASON: Hey Gorgeous, how’s your day?
With that, he turned his phone all the way off so he could focus fully on his homework without waiting for that fucking text notification to come through.
An hour of research and a few phone calls later, he had the list narrowed down to three choices he felt Dom would like. They were all nerdy with an extensive beer list and historical flair. Right up his alley.
