I tried to raise my hips, but Ty held my legs firm until the powerful sensations began to ebb.

Soft tremors still wracked me as Ty climbed up my body then kissed me hard, shoving his tongue into my mouth.

I reached between us, wanting him to fuck me even more than I had before the potent release. Finally, I got my hand wrapped around his length. His cock was hard, heavy and weeping at the tip. When I made a fist around it, Ty sucked in a sharp breath.

“Oh, Christ,” he moaned. “That’s it. Touch me, babe.”

I could go one better than that. I took my hand away, pressed against his chest and rolled us so that I was on top. I wasted no time sliding down his body and as soon as I reached his cock, I did what I’d been aching to do. I tasted it. I slid the tip of my tongue against the slit in the end then dragged it through the pre-cum that had beaded there.

A muttered oath slipped from Ty’s mouth, and when I lifted my gaze to watch his reaction, he was watching me, his eyelids hooded, eyes dark with desire. I held his gaze as I swirled my tongue around the head of his cock then stretched open my lips and took him inside my mouth. Ty shouted and lifted his hips, instinctively trying to thrust his cock deeper.

I slid my mouth down his shaft until it nudged the back of my throat then I swallowed around the head.

“Jesus Christ,” Ty muttered, the desperate need in his voice as arousing the taste of his cock and the silky smoothness of it against my tongue. “You’re going to kill me.”

I smiled around his length then sucked him with long, steady strokes until his knuckles grew white from where he fisted the sheets. His chest rose and fell rapidly.

“Don’t make me come like this,” he pleaded. “I want to be inside you.”

I could tell by his tone how close he was, so I reluctantly pulled away then sat back to give him a moment to cool off. Ty slid off the bed then grabbed his wallet out of the back pocket www.totallybound.com

of his jeans. He found a foil packet and handed it to me. I made short work of opening it and sliding the condom down the length of his cock. As soon as it was in place, Ty grabbed me under my arms then pulled me back to him, kissing me with every bit as much fervor as before.

He rolled us so that he was once again on top.

He lowered his mouth until he reached the shell of my ear. Once there, he whispered,

  “You ready for me, Alana?”

  I’d never been more ready.

“Yes,” I breathed, lifting my legs to cradle his hips. “Take me.”

There was no fumbling, no reaching between us to place his cock at my entrance, not even a moment’s hesitation. With his hands bracketed on either side of my head, Ty drove into me as fluidly and as easily as if he’d been doing so for years. His cock was long, the girth thick, and it stretched me perfectly as he slid all the way home. He stilled his hips, letting me adjust to the feeling of fullness, but lifted his head and, eyes burning, he met my gaze.

“You’re perfect,” he whispered. “So damn perfect.”

When he kissed me again, his mouth rough and demanding, I was in heaven. Ty’s deep, guttural groan filled the room as he pulled his cock almost all of the way out before ramming it back inside me so hard it made me cry out from a mixture of surprise and pleasure. I wrapped my legs around his hips and held on as he began to fuck me in earnest, each stroke feeling deeper and harder than the one before.

The slapping noises of our clammy flesh joined the creak of the bedsprings as Ty pistoned his hips. The heat and intensity were so powerful I was in danger of losing myself to him.

Perspiration dripped down my temples, and my breathing became shallow as the welcome signs of another release began to spread outward from my core and the base of my spine. I raised my hips, matching Ty’s unrelenting thrusts. It was as if he was inside my head and knew exactly what I needed, because right when I was about to ask him to fuck me harder, he started slamming into me with wild abandon. He gripped my hips then lifted them, changing the angle of his thrusts.

“Come for me, baby,” he ordered.

The quiet demand was all it took.

I came again, screaming out my pleasure as the sensations barreled through my body.

“That’s it, sugar,” he said through gritted teeth. “Give me everything, baby.”

The sweet endearment barely made it through the fog of lust in my mind. The relief was so strong, I almost wept. I was still coming when Ty grunted out my name then stilled deep inside me when he found his own release, bucking and shaking. We stayed like that for long moments, then Ty took my face in his hands and kissed me long and deep, sliding his tongue over mine in a sweet, lazy dance.

“That was incredible,” he admitted, lifting his head slightly to study my face.

I murmured my agreement, too exhausted even to offer a coherent reply.

Ty chuckled then leaned down and pressed a quicker, chaste kiss to my lips. His contented, intimate smile stretched into a knowing grin.

“I made you scream,” he informed me, somewhat proudly.

I rested my head back into the pillow and laughed. “Yes, but only because it had been a while. Don’t get used to it.”

“Are you saying it was a fluke?”

  “Something like that, yeah.”

“Really? Well, then I guess I’m going to have to prove to you that I can do it again.”

“If you think you can, then by all means. Go for it.”

  He did.

  Twice more.

Afterward we lay side by side, breathing heavily.

  Spent.

“Oh boy, I think I’m in trouble,” I said around a sigh.

Ty’s body shook from what I assumed was laughter as he tucked me into his side. I didn’t hear it, but I felt it.

“Yeah,” he said after a moment. “But don’t worry. It’s the good kind of trouble.”

  There was a good kind?

We stayed wrapped up in each other’s arms for a few minutes more, neither of us feeling the need to speak. When reality started to rear its ugly head, I knew it was time to get to work, even though I wished I could stay cocooned like this forever.

I’d known the moment I’d set eyes on Ty that I’d fallen in love with him, but after what we’d just shared, I felt it in the deepest, darkest recesses of my soul.

Yep, I was in trouble all right—big, big trouble.

  Chapter Six

The agent’s place of work was back near the church where the warlocks had attacked us earlier that day. It was too much of a coincidence that a random demon would show up at the same time. It had to be the same demon that was now in possession of the grimoire, the same demon that had been in the parking lot the night before.

As we drove past the impressive façade of the building again, goosebumps rose on my arms and I couldn’t get the image of the dead bodies out of my mind. They’d been ordinary people going about their day. They hadn’t deserved to meet their end in that way. No one deserved to die like that.

“We’re here.” Ty pulled up outside a large building that was nearly wall-to-wall glass.

As he parked the car next to a slick, black Audi, which we knew belonged to the witch we’d come to talk to, I unbuckled my seatbelt and studied the building’s entrance.

  “Let’s do this.”

I checked my watch as I rounded the car. It was a minute after five and our contact in the council had told us that the witch was a strictly nine-to-five kind of guy. We made our way to the main entrance of the building and as we neared, I got an uncomfortable tingling sensation down my spine. I knew what it meant now. I was accustomed to it—even though I hated it.

  Hellhound.

I spun around and scanned the parking lot, but I couldn’t see the beast any
where. Ty pressed his back against mine.

“Stay close to me,” he whispered.

  He could count on it.

Right on cue, the doors of the buildings slid open and our witch, the Hollywood agent Anton Scott, stepped outside. He looked exactly as he had in the photograph the council had sent us earlier. Classically attractive, his blond hair curled in tendrils around his shoulders and his muscles spoke of hours working out in the gym. Despite his good looks, I found him vaguely disturbing. That might have had something to do with his extracurricular activities and associations with demons rather than any general vibe he was emitting, however. He www.totallybound.com

crossed the lot, hesitating for a moment when he saw us, before continuing in our direction.

As he approached, he flashed a megawatt smile that had more than a touch of arrogance behind it.

  I didn’t return the smile.

“Anton, we’re going to have to ask you to come with us,” I greeted curtly.

We had little time for pleasantries, and this man had essentially been doing business with the enemy. I usually tried to give people the benefit of the doubt, but we didn’t have time for that either, not if we wanted to stay alive.

The witch narrowed his eyes. “Who are you? How do you know my name?”

Before I could reply, a snarl ripped through the air, and Anton’s steps faltered a second time. He turned in the direction of the noise.

  “What the hell was that?”

“You’re pretty close, actually,” I said, deadpan. “Hellhound.”

All the color drained out of his face. “Hellhound?” he repeated on a whisper.

I nodded. “If you want to live, you’d better come with us.”

“I’m not going anywhere with you.” A frown creased his brow as he scanned the lot for the beast, his gaze sporadically darting back to us.

“I’d listen to the lady if I were you,” Ty said over my shoulder. “She knows what she’s talking about. Come with us and we’ll keep you safe.”

“I don’t need any help from hunters,” he said derisively. “I can take care of myself.”

The hellhound chose that moment to show itself and it made a beeline for Anton, its eyes a fiery red against the black of its coat. It quickened its pace. When the witch realized the hellhound was running straight for him, he yelped and hit out with a weak energy ball that didn’t even slow the hound in its tracks. Anton turned then sprinted our way, his arms flailing, panic etched into every line of his face.

  “Help me!” he wailed.

  Ty snorted.

I pulled the stopper out of a bottle of holy water then waited a beat until the hellhound was closer before I took aim. I threw the water, narrowly missing the creature’s head, but catching it on the middle of its broad back. The beast let out a piercing screech. I fought the urge to cover my ears and watched it fall heavily to the ground, its body bucking wildly. Just www.totallybound.com

as Anton reached us, I grabbed Ty and pulled him toward the car. A quick glance over my shoulder informed me that the hellhound was still down. It wouldn’t take long to recover from its wound, however, so we needed to get out of there as quickly as we could.

Ty unlocked the car then ran around to the other side as I reached for the front passenger door. Anton ran for his own car, but we couldn’t take the risk that we’d lose him, so I ran to him and pulled him back.

“You’re coming with us,” I informed him sternly.

He hesitated, but a fleeting look at the hellhound was all it took for him to follow me to our car. When we were all safely inside, Ty clicked the central lock then put the car in drive.

The hellhound was getting to its feet as Ty pulled away, the tires screeching on the asphalt as the car sped out of the lot.

It was policy that we report all hellhound sightings to the council so that they could send an angel to deal with it. The last thing we needed was a beast as dangerous as a demon roaming the streets where they were free to harm humans, so I made a quick call to my handler and reported the incident. For a few moments afterward, silence reigned, but Anton was the first to break it.

“Who are you?” he asked, echoing his earlier question.

“Hunters,” Ty supplied. “We’re here on council business.”

The agent made a choking noise in the back of his throat. “Hunters? What does the council want with me? I demand to know what’s going on. What was a hellhound doing at my office building?”

I turned around in my seat and met the witch’s defiant gaze. “Very good questions. Can you think of a reason why a hellhound might be hunting you?”

“Hunting me?” he balked. “How do you know the thing was after me?”

“Educated guess,” I said dryly. “Have you had any dealings with demons lately?”

Anton’s eyes widened in what could only have been understanding.

“That dirty, double crossing son of a—”

“Do you have any idea what you’ve done?” I bit out. “Don’t you understand how dangerous it is for demons to get their hands on the grimoires?”

The agent groaned. “Look, this demon isn’t all that bad. I’ve had dealings with him before. Several times, in fact, and he’s always seemed honest and fair.”

“Honest and—” Ty growled. “Jesus Christ. This is a demon we’re talking about, they’re hardly trustworthy.”

“But I don’t understand why he would send a hellhound after me. We’ve had a good working relationship for months.”

“Grimoires are precious to demons,” I explained. “They need them to raise Lucifer. You’d be surprised what a demon will do to get their hands on a book then keep it when they have it.”

The witch heaved a sigh. “What am I going to do now?” He slumped over despondently in his seat. “If the demon sent a hellhound after me, he obviously wants me dead. That hound isn’t going to stop until it carries out the order from its master.”

“You got that right,” Ty said. “If you value your life then maybe you’ll think twice about doing business with a demon in future.”

Anton scowled, but didn’t reply, which was wise. Ty didn’t look in the mood to argue and besides, it was an argument that Anton couldn’t win.

“We can help you,” I offered. “We happen to know an angel who could vanquish the beast and send it back to hell where it belongs. He’d take care of the demon too, so it couldn’t bother you again.” I didn’t mention that I’d likely used up my last favor with said angel, but I was confident that the council would deal with the hellhound problem. Ty and I would have to deal with the demon. The idea didn’t fill me with the warm and fuzzies, but I’d agreed to the job and I had to see it through to the bitter end.

“Why would you do that? What do you want from me?”

“We want a location,” Ty said, “and anything else you can tell us that can help us take back possession of the grimoire.”

Anton sighed heavily. “If the demon finds out I betrayed him, he’ll kill me.”

“He’s already tried,” Ty reminded him.

“Okay, fine,” he agreed. “I’ll help you, but only if you can guarantee my safety.”

“Done,” I said, sounding more confident that we could make good on the promise than I felt.

“I need to do a location spell and everything I’ll need is at home. If you turn right on—”

“No need for directions,” Ty said. “We know where you live.”

“Of course you do,” Anton mumbled.

He folded his arms then glared out of the window for the rest of the journey, but the silence in the car was far from comfortable. It left me alone with my thoughts and all of them were of Ty. As if he knew I was thin
king about him, his gaze met mine, and there was something affectionate and enchanting about his smile. It felt private—an intimate expression that was just for me. A familiar glow flowed through me and I felt calm, despite the circumstances.

I scanned the surrounding area as we pulled up outside Anton’s condominium on Santa Rosalia drive. The well-kept yard that surrounded the building was devoid of life and we didn’t pass anyone inside on the way to his unit. His condo, though small, had been tastefully decorated. Bright works of modern art decorated the walls, providing the requisite splash of color. The hardwood floors were a dark, appealing shade, and the furniture was masculine, but not overwhelmingly so. The living area was so neat and orderly, it looked like a show home.

The living room led through to what I assumed should have been a dining area, but was set up as a study. A witch’s altar sat proudly in one corner of the room. This space was in complete disarray, the polar opposite to the rest of the condo. Candles of every size surrounded the altar and strange objects littered every shelf of a tall oak bookcase. A brown leather armchair that had seen better days sat next to a side table on top of which was a reading lamp and a large, leather-bound book.

“Don’t touch anything,” Anton said, as I reached out to run my fingers over the cover. “I don’t want your aura messing with the atmosphere in here.”

“Jesus Christ,” Ty muttered. He leaned in close and whispered in my ear. “I’ve got a good mind to rub my aura all over his—”

“Need us to do anything?” I asked, a little too brightly.

Anton looked down his nose at me then continued collecting items from a shelf. Clearly, he felt that hunters didn’t deserve the charming smile he’d flashed when we’d first met. He’d also given up on civility. I shrugged off his rudeness and continued to inspect the items on display around the room.

On the far wall, bottles sat haphazardly on a shelf, each filled with different colored potions. A cabinet below housed a human skull and an ornate, brown-stoned pendant. I leaned down for a closer look.
