According to the weather app Drew uses, the snow shouldn’t get any worse and should settle overnight. Not only does that mean everyone should be able to join them tomorrow, but he and Jesse should have a quiet evening. That’s an awful lot of should for someone like Jesse but so far so good. The wind hasn’t been too horrific and although he keeps glancing at the window, Jesse has been having too much making cookies to be really frightened.

As predicted the kitchen is chaos. There are bowls and spoons everywhere and Drew doesn’t know how Jesse did it but there appears to be flour on every possible surface. A smear of green food coloring on the fridge door and a trail of white paw prints where Scamp wandered into investigate. They have a gate to keep Sadie out after an unfortunate incident with an entire bag of chicken nuggets, but Scamp simply leaps on it and into the kitchen. Drew is convinced she does it just to annoy the pup.

For once Drew’s glad that Jesse is so particular about cleaning up. Personally, he’s happy to leave his ice-cream dish in the sink overnight, but Jesse invariably washes it and puts it away. He sips his wine and looks around the mess with a grin, his gaze finally coming to rest on Jesse who is decorating the last batch of Santa cookies.

There’s a long streak of red frosting across Jesse’s cheek and flour speckles his Princess Leia t-shirt. At some point he’s run his hand through his hair leaving it sticking up in wild spikes, tipped with sugar crystals that sparkle in the kitchen lights. His cheeks are bulging and Drew groans.

“Darlin’, there won’t be any cookies left for tomorrow if you eat them all. And you’ll be up all night with a stomach ache.” Not to mention bouncing off the walls for days. Being stuck inside for two or three days with a hyperactive, sugar stimulated Jesse might be fun for the first hour but Drew suspects the novelty would wear off fast.

  “On’y h’d un.”

Drew puts his hand up to protect himself from the spray of cookie crumbs. “Gross. Swallow.”

Jesse swallows the lump of cookie, sticks his tongue out to show its gone, and picks up his glass of apple juice. He drains the glass and thumps it back on the counter. “I only had one.”

“Yeah, whatever.” Drew grins. “Come on lets clean up and then if you like we can open the stockings.”

Jesse’s eyes widen with delight. Erin and Ray had told Drew to put no presents under the tree until tonight. Advice he had ignored and now regrets. Jesse has been dogged in his attempts to find out what’s in the brightly covered boxes. Whenever things have been quiet, Drew has found him next to the tree shaking, rattling, poking, and prodding at the gifts. Finally, in a fit of desperation he suggested that if Jesse left them alone, they could open the stockings tonight.

“That’s one way to start a new tradition,” Ray had said over the phone not even bothering to pretend he wasn’t laughing. “You know he’s going to remember for next year, right?”

Yes, Drew knows but like the mess in the kitchen, it’s a small price. “We can even have some eggnog if you like.”

Jesse doesn’t really like alcohol very much, but they’ve discovered he does like eggnog, probably because it reminds him of ice-cream. Jesse, his back turned to Drew, nods as he puts cookies in a Tupperware container. Suspicious, Drew puts his hand on his shoulder and tries to turn him around. Jesse resists.

“Jess, look at me.” Jesse shakes his head. “Are you eating another cookie?”

Jesse turns around, smiles a wide innocent smile, and shakes his head again. “No. See? No cookie.”

Drew isn’t fooled for a minute. He brushes his lips against Jesse’s. Tastes the sugar.

“If you don’t stop stealing cookies, I’m going to start taking away presents.”

  “Meanie.”

  “Dork.”

With a pained sigh that Drew knows is just for show, Jesse puts a lid on the container of cookies, then covers the batch that are still setting. Grinning to himself, Drew begins gathering up dishes and utensils.

The fire crackles and pops, filling the house with warmth. Scamp is asleep in her cave and Sadie is curled on her mat to the side of the fire, paws scrabbling as she chases something in her dreams. Jesse leans back against Drew’s chest and shuts his eyes. Next to him on the floor is a new wallet, a small box of Lego, a battery-operated toothbrush with a handle in the shape of Groot, and a pair of Spiderman socks. On Drew’s side is a new journal with a black cat on the cover, a bright green beanie so Jesse can see him in a crowd, a barbeque apron that says Kiss me, I’m cute, and a bottle of really hot marinade. Jesse told him in a very solemn tone that he has to clean his teeth before he kisses him though. He doesn’t like that kind of hot kiss.

“What are you thinking about, darlin’?” Drew’s voice sounds soft and sleepy in his ear.

Jesse can’t find the words to explain the new fuzzy feeling he has. Fuzzy has always been bad but this fuzzy, isn’t. It’s good. He snuggles against Drew. “I am Groot.”

  Drew chuckles.

“You are a dork.” A kiss is pressed to the side of his head. “But I love you.”

The good-fuzzy feeling intensifies. Maybe that’s what love feels like and he wonders if Drew feels good-fuzzy sometimes. “I liked my surprise.”

“I noticed.” He can hear the smile in Drew’s voice. “I’m glad you liked it, darlin’.”

“I have a surprise for you too.”

“Oh?” Drew shifts behind him and Jesse sits up. Turns to face him with a small smile and runs his finger down the buttons of Drew’s shirt. “Where is it?”

“I’m wearing it.” Jesse’s cheeks flame even though this isn’t the first time he’s done this.

Drew’s eyes darken and flick to Jesse’s jeans. “Can I see it?”

“Yes, please.” He kneels and waits. Drew takes his glasses off and puts them on the coffee table, then pulls at the hem of Jesse’s t-shirt. Tosses it on the couch. Removes his undershirt and drops it. Traces a wet line down Jesse’s chest with his tongue while he fumbles with his belt buckle.

Fingers trembling, Jesse unbuttons Drew’s shirt and pushes it off his shoulders. It falls to the floor with a soft sound and Sadie lifts her head to see what it was. He shushes her, then buries his face in Drew’s neck, kissing and licking at the warm skin. Drew finally has the belt buckle open and tugs down the zipper of Jesse’s jeans making him hiss.

“Lie back darlin’, so I can see.” Drew stands and shimmies out of his own jeans and boxers, toes off his socks, never taking his eyes off Jesse. “Take your jeans off.”

Biting his lip, Jesse hooks his thumbs in his jeans, lifts his hips up, and pulls them off. Shuts his eyes in concentration as he gets them off his ankles and yanks his socks off. A quiet moan from above makes him open them again and he catches his breath at the sight of Drew stroking the length of his hard shaft with long, slow movements.

“You are so beautiful, Jess.” He can hear the desire in Drew’s voice and see it in the wide pupils making his eyes seem black. Jesse lets his knees fall open and holds his arms up; he wants to feel it.

Drew kneels and runs his hands over the pale blue satin. A tidy shudder ripples through Jesse and he bites back a groan. These panties are a simple design. Plain pale blue satin, with a line of bows on each hip, stretches across his already straining cock. Yes, he likes wearing the panties, but that’s not what has him so aroused. It’s Drew’s reaction he loves. Drew is steady and loving and always knows what to do. How to take care of Jesse. Sometimes he thinks it’s not fair that Drew has to be the one who is responsible for so much, but he can’t help that. But this thing – this one little thing – is different. With this, he knows he can make Drew forget everything else. With this thing, Jesse can take the control and he can take care of Drew.

Drew tugs at the waist of the panties, freeing Jesse’s cock, then to Jesse’s surprise puts them back in place, smoothing the soft fabric over his heated skin. He glances down and sees only the head is free now, above th
e elastic waist, shiny and wet. Confused, he looks back up at Drew.

“I like seeing them on you.”

When at last Drew covers him with his body, Jesse moans and lifts his legs to wrap them around Drew’s waist. The feel of his cock, encased in satin, sliding against Drew’s sends jolts of heat through him and he bucks up wanting more.

“Darlin’ you keep doing that and I’m going to cum real fast.” The strain in Drew’s voice confirms the statement and Jesse can’t help himself. He repeats the movement. “Oh God, Jess…”

Drew pushes up on his hands, lifting his chest up, and it takes Jesse a second to realize that he’s trying to see the panties as they move together. He slides his own hands down to grasp Drew’s ass and pushes up.

“Jess.” The warning is clear and it pushes Jesse closer to the edge. That he can make Drew lose control so fast – even faster than the pink lace boy briefs – is exciting and intriguing. Maybe he should get some of the black ones. How would Drew react? Maybe Jesse could do a little strip tease for Drew. Could he get Drew to cum without even touching him? Without undressing him? The fantasy spikes his arousal and his orgasm rushes him. He arches up, cum shooting over his belly and chest as he cries out. From a distance he hears Drew groan, his hips jerk. Drew’s cock rubs against his oversensitive shaft and he arches up again and he feels Drew give in. Feels his cock twitch and pulse. The wet heat that soaks through the satin to his skin.

Panting and whimpering, he clings to Drew, not wanting to move despite the stickiness cooling between them. Drew is kissing his way up his neck, along his jaw, to his mouth.

“Did Jody help you?” Jesse nods, knowing how torn Drew is about that. But it’s not like he can ask anyone else and he’s too scared to go by himself. “Remind me to buy her an extra bottle of wine.”

  “Huh?”

“Never mind. Let’s get cleaned up and go to bed.”

“Don’t want to move.” Sleepy and satisfied, Jesse would be happy to sleep here in front of the fire.

“Mmmhmmm.” Drew stands up and holds his hand out. “You want to explain that to your Mom in the morning if we sleep in.”

Jesse scrambles to his feet. No, he doesn’t.

Finally, in bed, curled against Drew, Jesse rubs his finger over Drew’s wedding band. He can feel the comforting weight of his own ring and smiles.

“You’re thinking a lot of happy thoughts tonight,” Drew says sleepily.

  “How do you know?”

  “Because you keep smiling.”

“Oh.” Jesse blinks in the darkness. “I have a new fuzzy feeling.” Against him, Drew’s body stiffens and Jesse rushes to try and explain. “No, it’s not like when I’m scared and things. It’s a good fuzzy.”

“Okay. Do you want to tell me about it?”

“I feel it when I see you. When you kiss me.”

  “When we make love?”

Jesse squirms. “Mmmmhmmm. I like the way you look at me when I wear the panties.”

“I like the way you look in the panties.” Drew tightens his hold on him and Jesse cuddles in, trying to get as close as he can. “Want to know a secret?”

  “Yes.”

“I get that good fuzzy feeling when I see you too. And when you kiss me.”

  “You do?”

“Yes, darlin’. You’re the best thing that ever happened to me.”

Jesse tilts his head up and accepts a kiss. “I love you, Drew.”

“I love you too, Jesse. Merry Christmas.”

  Thanks

A massive thank you to every one of you for choosing to hang out with my guys and me as we’ve found our way this past year. Creating this collection was something of a mission as so much was happening around me at the same time but I really wanted to see how each of the couples would handle Christmas Eve and wasn’t disappointed – they all stayed true to character, getting into their usual strife. I do have a secret though – my favorite moment was revisiting Jesse and Drew for the first time and I hope you enjoyed their story too.

Wishing you a wonderful holiday season – however you celebrate it.
