“What the fuck?” I heard Drax hiss. Some guys tried to make a grab for her, but she’d slinked past and was weaving her way toward us.
“Stay back, Cassie! Stay back!” Chip was yelling at her now. Everybody was yelling. I couldn’t figure it out. This girl knew Chip somehow? How did she manage to get in? What kind of shit was this guy involved in?
She took a step past and I wrapped my arms around her. She swung around to me, kicking and swinging her arms and legs, trying her mighty best to break free. But now that I had her, she wasn’t going anywhere.
“You need to calm the fuck down,” I hissed in her ear. She was still struggling. I had one arm across her chest and the other around her waist. I’d managed to pin her to myself and I could feel the shape of her big butt moving against my cock.
Why was I even thinking about my cock at a time like this? What was wrong with me? But my cock couldn’t help the fact that I’d already made a mental note that she was sexy as hell.
She made another last-ditch attempt at breaking free, and Chip shouted again.
“Cassie! Go! Leave! Get out of here!”
Drax rolled his eyes at Chip then and turned to me. “Take her to my office. Figure out what the fuck’s going on first,” he commanded.
It was exactly what I was about to do. I needed to isolate this girl from the rest of the mob. They were capable of hurting her if she made any dangerous moves, and it seemed she had no idea what she’d walked into, or else would’ve behaved a lot differently.
She fought and struggled all the way to Drax’s office. I didn’t loosen my grip on her, not once, not even when the door firmly shut behind us.
“Let me go! You can’t do this! Release me now!” She was screeching relentlessly, like she would never tire. Whoever she was, and I had a million questions about that, she was definitely a girl who didn’t give up easily.
“I can’t let go of you until you promise to stay still,” I said as calmly as possible.
“I won’t promise you anything. You’ll get nothing from me. I’ll kick and scream till the last moment!”
I still had her pinned up to me and in the short time she was in my arms, I’d gotten to know her pretty well. Intimately. I knew exactly what her body felt like against mine. She had all the curves in the right places. She had plump luscious lips and big green eyes. Her hair was golden, shining like silk. My hands had brushed her generous breasts mistakenly, although I would’ve happily done it again if the circumstances were different.
Everything about this girl screamed temptation.
And yet, I didn’t even know who she was.
“Kick and scream all you want but it won’t get you anywhere. Instead, maybe we can have a rational discussion. You know, converse like adults?” I continued to speak, and she continued to kick.
She had energy, I gave her that, but she was no match for my strength. She wasn’t going to tire me out if that’s what she was trying to do.
She kicked and flailed a little more and eventually, she slumped. I felt her body relax and she grew quiet.
“That’s a good girl,” I said.
“I’m not looking for your approval!”
“Well you have it. In fact, if you promise to behave yourself, I might even let you go.”
She fell silent for a few moments, like she was considering my suggestion. Then she sighed and nodded.
“I need to hear it, Cassie,” I said. I was grateful Chip had at least given her name away.
“Fine. We can talk. I’ll stop screaming now,” she said in a low voice.
I loosened my grip on her and she slid away from me. She jumped across the room and whipped around to face me.
I was looking into those gorgeous green eyes again, and for a split-second, she had me mesmerized. But then I caught myself and clenched my fists. I needed to maintain my position of power. The last thing I needed was for her to think she had any kind of hold over me.
Besides, maybe she was Chip’s girl. Maybe she belonged to the Silver Knights. Maybe she was the fuckin’ reason he’d betrayed us in the first place.
Cassie was studying me too, her eyes roaming over me with a look like she’d never seen a man before, or maybe not a man like me.
I stood in front of her with my feet planted firmly apart. I crossed my arms over my chest. I could relax a little now; she wasn’t going anywhere. The door was locked, and she wouldn’t be able to get out of this room unless I purposely set her free.
“Wanna start by telling me what the fuck’s going on, Cassie?” I said.
Her nostrils flared in anger.
“Don’t use my name like you know me. You know nothing about me,” she snapped. I grinned. It was the pettiest issue she could’ve picked on.
“Fine, you shall remain nameless in that case. But I still need to know what you’re doing here. Who sent you here?”
She narrowed her eyes in confusion.
“Sent me here? Nobody sent me here. I came here of my volition. I knew Chip was in trouble and I wanted to help him.”
So I was right all along. She was Chip’s girl.
“Are you in the Silver Knights?” I grunted. What would I do if I was in Chip’s place? Would I betray the MC for this piece of ass? It annoyed me because I didn’t have an answer. She was sexy. Very, very fuckin’ sexy. Would one night with her be worth a lifetime of damnation?
“Silver who?” she asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.
“If you’re trying to play dumb, it’s not going to work.” I took one threatening step in her direction. She tipped her head back to look up at me.
“No idea what or who you’re talking about.”
I was standing closer to her now, could see straight into her clear green eyes. I pictured her underneath me, naked, her legs spread apart so I could take possession of her. Did it matter if Chip had her already? This girl was driving me fuckin’ nuts.
“Who the fuck are you then? You better give me a clear answer now.”
Cassie gulped and then licked her lips.
“I’m Chip’s sister. His little sister. I don’t want anything happening to him,” she answered. It came like a punch to the gut. I didn’t know Chip had a sister. This was possibly the worst answer she could’ve given me. “Can you please let me out now? I need to speak to my brother, please?”
All I could do was stare at Cassie. How was I supposed to let her out? I knew exactly what was going to happen to her brother tonight. The MC wasn’t about to let him off the hook just because his little sister showed up out of the blue.
Cassie didn’t need to see that.

Cassie
Sneaking into this place was probably the most dangerous thing I’d ever done in my life, and now it was quickly beginning to feel like my life was in danger. If this was what was happening to me—I was being held prisoner against my will and interrogated—then what was happening to Chip outside?
Of all the people who could’ve picked me up and brought me to this room, why did it have to be this guy?
I’d noticed him when I’d started running toward Chip out there; this guy had been standing between us. I knew I would have to somehow run through him to get to my brother. I wasn’t thinking, had made up my mind that I’d be able to save Chip somehow.
But this guy caught me, and I couldn’t fight him off. He carried me to this room, and I’d seen him lock the door. There were no windows in here. Just one big desk, two chairs. One solitary filing cabinet stood in the corner of the room, one bright bulb hanging from the ceiling.
The older guy outside had referred to this room as his ‘office’. What kind of an office was this, then? What business did they conduct here? What had Chip gotten himself involved in?
Nothing was making sense. I didn’t have any answers.
And now this man was staring at me as he stood right in front of me. His blue eyes were like darts piercing my skin. I had no escape from him; it felt like he could see right through me. Right th
rough my skin and into my soul. Could he read my mind?
I tried to not think about how hot he was. Big muscular man with dark thick hair, longish, that fell over his face with jagged edges. I could see the tattoos creeping up his arms and neck. There was something so threatening about him. He was physically way superior, strong and dangerous.
And yet, he was also drawing me in. Maybe it was because of the way he’d held me. So tight. Yes, he was trying to hold me captive and I struggled against him, but there was something safe about being in his arms too. I couldn’t explain it.
It was pure animal sexual attraction.
I just didn’t want to admit it to myself.
I was nervous, biting my bottom lip. Now this guy knew who I was, and I hoped he’d let me out. I opened my mouth to beg him again, and then heard the loud howl outside.
Chip! I heard him clearly.
“Chip!” I shrieked and made a go for the door, trying to pull it open even though I knew it was locked. I banged on it with both hands, hoping someone would open it.
The guy stood back, watching me scream and bang.
“Do something! I can hear him out there. What are they doing to him?” I shrieked. I whipped around to face him and now tears were beginning to well in my eyes. His face was strong and harsh like a chiseled rock.
“You need to calm down, first. You promised we’d discuss this calmly, remember?” he said.
“That was before I heard my brother howling!”
“If you sit down, we can talk about this,” he continued. Another howl erupted outside, and I whipped around to bang on the door again. I was crying out Chip’s name, desperate for someone to let me out. Hot tears stung my eyelids and I knew I wouldn’t be able to hold strong for much longer. I was going to end up crying pretty soon.
But then he grabbed me. I felt his hands on my hips, dragging me away from the door. Those big strong hands were on my body again, and despite how much I wanted to fight him, I felt myself go limp and weak. His touch did something to me and bolts of electricity ran down my spine. They rendered me utterly useless.
“Cassie, calm the fuck down,” he growled in a deep sexy voice. His face was right next to mine, his lips just brushing the tip of my ear. I gasped because I felt my stomach flip with desire. Now, he had me pinned to him and in that moment, I pictured his cock rubbing against my ass.
It wouldn’t take him much to strip my clothes off. Would he do it? There was nothing stopping him. I’d just walked into their lair. He had complete control of this situation.
“Let. Me. Go!” I shrieked. I was angry at myself for having these sexual thoughts about my captor. While my brother was out there, who knew what was happening to him?
The man’s hands seemed to tighten on my hips, holding me in place.
“I can’t let you go because you’re not holding up your end of the bargain.” How could he be this calm? Especially since he looked like a man who could be dangerously furious when he wanted to be.
“I can’t…I can’t be calm. I want to. But my brother’s out there and he’s getting hurt. I can hear him in pain; I need to get out there and help him.”
I spluttered the words out.
The tears weren’t far away now, and I knew I was going to burst into howls, losing all control. I would never be able to protect Chip now.
But the shakiness of my voice and my near tears must have worked because he loosened his grip a little.
“If you sit down, we can talk through this. Looks like we both need some answers.” I turned slowly to look at him. We were dangerously close to each other. I saw him studying my face, as if memorizing the shape of my mouth. I felt that gut-wrenching need for him again.
Nothing would be as sexy as his big rough hands on my body. On my breasts. Between my thighs.
I stepped away from him and he let me go.
“I want to know what’s going on with Chip,” I said.
“Like I said, if you sit down here, we can talk about it.”
I gulped. My throat was dry. My heart was racing. Things had gotten awfully quiet outside. I was worried about Chip, but there was literally nothing I could do for him right now.
So I did as I was told and took the chair by the desk. He continued to watch me like a hawk, even though we both knew I wasn’t going anywhere unless he wanted me to.
“First things first. My name is Justin Daniels. Friends call me Bolt.”
He was standing the other side of the desk, both fists firmly planted on it. This setting felt uncomfortably like an interrogation room—complete with the bulb hanging over us.
“But I’m not your friend, am I?” I snapped. I was seated, with my legs crossed, my arms wrapped around my stomach tightly. I was clutching myself like I could somehow stop feeling sick.
He took in a deep breath.
“We can be, if you follow my advice. Why don’t you start off by calling me Bolt? We can take it from there.”
“Is that all it takes for someone to become your friend? Take your advice and listen to you? Sounds like you run a dictatorship.” My voice sizzled. I hoped he knew exactly how much I despised being here, being held by him against my will.
Bolt straightened up, clenching his jaw.
“I’m trying to help you, Cassie, but all I’m hearing from you is resistance and defiance.”
I glared at him. Red eyes. “What do you want me to do? Wag my tail and roll over because you haven’t killed me yet?”
“Killed you? What the fuck are you talking about?”
“Isn’t that what you people are going to do to us? Chip and me?”
“You think we’re going to kill you both?”
My shoulders heaved as I stared at him. He was sexy. Even his fucking shoulders were muscular and broad. I licked my lips and gulped.
“I don’t know what you’re going to do to us, but I hear my brother howling in pain. You’re not exactly hosting a tea party out there. That much is clear to me.”
A grin cracked Bolt’s face then and he brushed a hand through his dark slick hair.
“Do you know what your brother is doing here?” he asked.
“I don’t even know what this place is! I thought it was just a bar, but it looks like you guys have a club or something set up back here. So no, I don’t know what Chip’s doing here. Why don’t you enlighten me?”
Bolt slowly thrust his hands into the pockets of his jeans.
“You’re right, this is a clubhouse. That bar in the front, that’s run by us too.”
“And who are you exactly?”
He was grinning again.
“We’re the Iron Thunder MC.”
“MC?”
“Motorcycle Club.”
I gulped nervously. So I was right about the bikes outside. They did belong to a biker gang. All these men with their muscles and leather jackets, tattoos and beards and hardcore drinking habits—this was their way of life. The question was, what was Chip doing here?
“Do you understand any of this?” Bolt continued.
I looked up at him, trying my best to hide my confusion.
“Who are you? What is your role here? Are you all members of this club?” I asked.
“Yes, all patched-in official members. I’m the Sergeant of Arms.”
I wasn’t exactly sure what that meant. It sounded like an important title, but I didn’t ask him to explain it to me. A part of me didn’t want to find out the kind of duties he had.
I sat there twiddling my thumbs, waiting for him to get to the part where he’d give me information about my brother, afraid to ask any questions now.
“Do you know that Chip’s also a member of this MC?” he asked.
I stared at him, dumbfounded. I had no idea. I would never have guessed Chip might be a part of something like this. Sure, I saw him ride his bike everywhere, and it even looked like he was trying to grow a beard lately. But he’d always had a taste in leather jackets and getting into trouble. I didn’t think it meant he was offici
ally a biker gang member.
“H…how long?” I asked. Bolt looked disappointed.
“Just under a year. Seems you had no idea. Well, we had no idea he had a little sister either. Told us he didn’t have any family. Assumed he was just a loner, like most of us here.”
I hung my head down, staring at my feet now in desperation. Why hadn’t Chip told his friends about me? Why hadn’t he clued me in on his lifestyle? Was he ashamed of me? Didn’t he want me to be a part of his life? I wished I could describe to this man what my brother was like when he cooked for me or cracked jokes, and when he used to help me with my homework for school. Where did that brother go? What had happened to him?
“We lost our parents, so I guess in a way he doesn’t have any family,” I said, speaking in a low weak voice. Bolt was still glaring at me.
“If I had a little sister, I’d never hide her away. She would always be family. The only family I had.”
“If you’re trying to turn me against my brother, it’s not going to work!” I snapped. Tears threatened to leak from my eyes, but I held his gaze strongly. I was close to breaking, but didn’t want to give him the pleasure of watching it happen.
“No, that isn’t what I’m trying to do. I’ll gain nothing from it,” he said.
I sat back in the chair, crossing my arms across my chest. I caught the way his eyes were drawn to that action, to the way my arms rested on my breasts. He was studying my body, and it felt like no other man had looked at me that way before.
“So why don’t you let me out? Why can’t I go and see my brother? You said he’s a member of this MC. What’s going on with him?”
Bolt clenched his jaws. I saw the way it tightened in his mouth. His face took on a darker hue, his eyes narrowed on me. I gulped but tried to hide it. For some reason, I got the feeling he was about to threaten me.
Or deliver bad news.
But I definitely wasn’t expecting him to tell me what he said next.
“That is what we thought too. That Chip was a loyal and trustworthy member of our MC.”
I stared at him, a little confused. I didn’t know where he was going with this.
