“I would have killed him,” he told her without hesitation. “I would have done so without a qualm. The only thing that saved him was you being untouched.”
“Would you have still loved me?”
Christopher looked at her puzzled. “What do you mean?”
She shrugged and used her lashes to shield her expressive eyes. “You are very possessive when it comes to me and you always said that you don’t like men touching me so I was wondering-“
“You were wondering if you were forced to participate in something if I would still be in love with you.” He frowned at her. “Do you have any comprehension of how much I love you? No matter what happens to you Sophia, my love will remain constant. It has something to do with the way you look and the way you smile and speak but it has a lot more to do with the person you are here,” he placed his hand over her heart beating steadily underneath the simple T-shirt she was wearing. “No matter how much you change on the outside I will always love you because our love is not just physical it is also tied to our souls. We were meant to be together and nothing can ever deny that.”
Sophia felt breathless. He always managed to make her feel light and heady with his words and the way he looked at her. She used her trembling hands to frame his handsome beloved face and blinked at the tears in her eyes. “I will never know what I did to deserve someone like you. I love you so much that I find it hard to express it and to let you know how I really feel.” She rested her head on his forehead and breathed in to calm herself. “I love you Christopher Tang.”
“I know,” he lifted her chin and looked down at her. “Our love is everlasting.”
