In this office, working for Alexander Kender. The thought made me queasy. She traced her fingers over my jaw, tickling a little.
“This monster you work for, do you have any idea what he's really doing here?”
“I don't know what you mean,” she responded.
“He's evil, Olivia,” I told her. I focused on one of the marks I left on her neck, and I bent down to kiss it. I was hard and ready to take her again. I didn’t mind telling her as well as showing her. “Damn—I want you again.”
“I'm all right with that.” I could barely hear her, but her eyes held everything I needed to know. She wanted more. I wanted to give her more.
“You aren't sore?” I asked.
“I'm okay,” she said. “I want you again, too.”
I moved my lips up to her ear, wanting to taste more of her. I couldn’t help but think about all the other places I wanted to taste her as well. I wanted her coming all over my face while she screamed my name again. I wanted to tie her up on that four-poster hotel bed and fuck her from behind. I wanted to hold her against me afterwards, give her a bath, and feed her fucking strawberries with my fingers.
I wanted more.
And it hit me.
If she walked out of here, down the hallway to the elevator and out of this building, I’d never see her again. Within a few hours, I would be on my way to Jamaica, where I would deliver the information collected on my flash drive to a former CIA agent who specialized in torture. Once he had his proof, he would take care of the rest. Then I would disappear for a year, maybe two, before I could start putting my life back together, assuming that was even possible now. If she left, I wouldn’t be able to contact her again. I might be able to keep tabs on her surreptitiously, but I’d never lay eyes on her again. It would be far too risky.
She probably had a family—parents, siblings, friends, school chums, and co-workers. I didn’t fucking care. I wanted to take her with me. I wanted to give her everything she had ever desired. I wanted to buy her a fucking yacht to live on, or a penthouse in Tokyo, or a cabin in the mountains—whatever she wanted. I wanted to take her to symphonies and luxurious hotels and expensive restaurants. Hell, maybe I’d buy a piano and fucking play for her. I wanted her with me.
I needed her with me.
As far as she knew, I was nothing but a fucking terrorist.
I was going to have to convince her otherwise.
“I know I said I'd make sure you were home safely tonight,” I murmured into her ear, “but how would you feel about maybe coming with me instead? I really need to finish up work here, and I think if I fuck you again now, I'll never get it done.”
“Where are you going?”
“I can't tell you,” I said with a shake of my head. If she refused to go, anything she knew about me would put her in danger. Shit, she was already in danger. Kender might fucking kill her for the password she gave me. There was certainly a market for girls her age, too. There’s no way he’d just let her be. He might think she saw what was in the files. It was suddenly very, very important that she come with me. “I will tell you we won't be coming back—not anytime soon, anyway.”
“And you want me to come with you?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
I want you to. I need you to. It’s not safe for you now, and I don’t want to scare you.
“I want to show you what Kender's done,” I said instead. “I want you to understand. I also want to take you to posh hotels all over the world and see you naked and laid out for me in as many beds as possible. I want to give you everything. I want to make you mine. I can't do that if you stay here.”
I wrapped her in my arms and pressed my dick hard against her thigh. I tilted my hips forward, trying to find more friction between her legs. My mind was swimming—unable to do anything to cope with the heat and smell of her except by taking her again. I grabbed her leg and pulled it up over my hip, positioning myself.
“Never mind the work,” I moaned, pressing the tip of my hard cock to her entrance.
“Okay,” she said.
What the hell did that mean? Okay, I could fuck her again? Okay, she would leave with me? You were an okay lay, but I need to go home now?
“Okay…what?” I asked, hating the way my voice gave away my uncertainty. I stared into her eyes, needing the answer now and wishing I could see inside her head.
“I'll go with you.”
“You will?” I nearly prayed I had heard her right.
“Yes.” There was no question in her voice this time. Not only was there no question, but her eyes softened as her body relaxed in my arms. Her expression told me everything I needed to know. She was giving herself to me—completely and totally.
“I'll make it all worth your while,” I promised her. “I'm going to cover you in diamonds during the day and fuck you senseless during the night.”
“I'm not so sure about diamonds,” she replied, squirming as my tongue tickled her ear. “But the last part sounds like exactly what I want.”
She was going to get what she wanted; I had no doubt of that. I pushed into her, my words running from my mouth straight to her ear, soft and warm.
“Want no more.”
I would give her everything because it was…it is…exactly what I want.

Other than his loyal Great Pyrenees, there's no one around to break up the monotony. The heat is unbearable, but he makes do with the little he has. He’s accustomed to harsh conditions and simply exists as best he can. The tedium is excruciating, but it is suddenly interrupted when a young woman stumbles up his path.
She’s lost; she’s cute, and he can’t resist the temptation of luring her into his bed. Why not? It’s been ages, and he is Otherwise Alone.

Evan Arden is a hit man for a Chicago mob boss and moves through life with darkness in his soul and a gun in his hand. He’s struggling to forget his past and to keep himself Otherwise Occupied.
Otherwise Unharmed
After Evan Arden was imprisoned by the enemy for a year and a half, he returned from the desert as a military hero. He’d suffered some minor injuries during his captivity, was discharged from the Marines with a touch of shellshock, but was considered otherwise unharmed. Now he wonders how he ended up where he is—incarcerated in Chicago’s Metropolitan Correctional Center for using his sharpshooting expertise to take out the neighborhood park with a high-powered sniper rifle and multiple rounds of ammunition.
Lia Antonio, the woman he rescued from the desert heat the previous year, is the only person who can bring him out of his sleep-deprived psychosis and mounting PTSD. When she does, Evan knows he can’t just let her go again. He’s never considered leaving the business before—who retires from the mafia?—but he’s determined to get both Lia and himself out of harm’s way.
Evan faces overwhelming forces from multiple directions as a deal to get him out of jail turns more dangerous than he imagined. With a mob war on the horizon and the feds holding evidence over his head, Evan has no choice but to throw himself into the middle of another warzone.

Dad’s not going to be happy about that.
