“CASH!” She cries out in a choppy, jagged voice as she digs her nails deep into my flesh. She breaks the surface, and little specks of red appear where she scratched me. I don’t feel the scrape on my skin, all I feel is the mind-blowing sensation of her tight walls closing around my cock as they milks me. She’s about to come, and I’m not far behind; every thrust sends us closer and closer to the edge—shit.
She wraps her legs tightly around my waist and puts her arms around my neck. And without warning, she shocks me by flipping us over so that she’s on top. She places one hand on the wall to balance herself, and then the woman I thought needed time to adjust to my dick rides the shit out of me.
She moves her hips in rhythm with mine. She’s riding me harder, faster, and deeper than any woman I’ve ever had. Her eyes glaze over with lust and her breasts bounce, inches away from my lips. When her hand goes over to her right nipple and begins to play with it, my mouth greedily reaches for her left one. I flick it and pop it into my mouth. The sensation caused by her hips, the feel of her hardened nipple between my lips, and the sight of her kneading her own nipple all send me into a trance-like state.
“Shit, baby. What are you doing to me?” I groan.
She grinds even harder against me; a few moments later, her orgasm claims her. I’m only seconds behind. I brace myself by placing a hand on either side of her thighs, but nothing can prepare me for the orgasm that springs from the core of body into my cock and straight inside her. We are helpless as ecstasy rips its way through us. We cling to each other for dear life as we collapse onto the bed. What little energy I have left, I use to cover us with a blanket. I hold her close against my chest. We lazily stroke each other as we get lost in each other’s eyes. Soon sleep begins to claim her.
“Cash?” she says softly.
“Yeah, babe?”
“I...”
She’s searching for the words, but saying “I love you” isn’t easy. It’s okay. She’s shown me she loves me in so many ways. I can wait for the words. She places her hand on the side of my face and looks into my eyes. She tries again, “I wanted to tell you that I...I...”
I smile down at her, and I kiss her forehead. “It’s okay, babe; I know.”
Chapter 13
SKYLAR
I wake up in the clouds again. I love the clouds. I hear him in the kitchen, and right away my mind takes me back to last night. The flashes are raw, vivid, and make my stomach dip. I recall his tongue marking me, his large hands exploring my body, and the feel of his cock inside me. He’s bigger than any guy I’ve ever been with, and he’s the most ardent by far. I’ve never had orgasms like that before. They were toe-curling-can’t-remember-where-I-am orgasms.
Blood rushes to my cheeks as I start remembering how wild I allowed myself to get. Well, I can’t even say “allowed,” because I didn’t have a choice. He commanded my body in a way no man ever has before. I can’t believe I actually got on top and rode him as I did. What possessed me?
Oh yeah, Cash. Cash Hunter has gotten into me. In my body, my head, and yes, my heart.
I giggle like a damn teenager and bury my head under the covers. I hear him enter the bedroom. He pulls the covers off my face and studies me. He stands there, wearing dark jeans and a long gray shirt. His hair is still damp from the shower he must have taken while I was still sleeping. God, he’s just too hot for words. And more than that, he’s just too kind and too compassionate to be real.
“If you’re playing hide-and-seek, I have to say that’s the worst spot to hide,” he jokes as he hands me a cup of coffee. I playfully roll my eyes and thank him for the coffee as I take my first sip.
“I picked up some breakfast—not sure what you wanted, so I got a little of everything.”
“Thanks.”
“Sure.” He looks me over. “You okay?” he asks.
“Um...yeah. I’m more than okay.” I beam. He looks at me with mischief in his eyes, but then he spots something on my thigh. His smile disappears. I follow his gaze; he’s looking at a small bruise I have. His playful look is replaced with concern as he places his hand near the slightly discolored spot.
“Did I hurt you?” he asks.
“No, it’s just a minor bruise,” I promise.
“Do you have any more bruises? Let me see your other leg,” he says, peeling the covers off of me.
I place my hands on his chest and speak firmly. “Cash, I’m fine. And if you touch me right now, trust me we will both be late for work.”
He smirks and says, “Are you saying you had a good time last night?”
“It was okay. I mean, there was nothing on TV, so it was something to do but nothing special,” I reply.
“Liar!” He laughs as he pulls me down onto the pile of sheets on the bed. He playfully wrestles with me, demanding that I tell him the truth about last night. I refuse to give in and continue to lie and tell him it was just okay. In fact, I double down and tell him I hardly remember it. “Okay, Sky, now you’re gonna get it!” he vows. I try to escape, but he grabs me and pulls me back to the bed. He lays me facedown on my stomach and pins my hands above my head.
He lies on top of me and whispers into my ear, “I’ll give you one more chance. Did you enjoy last night?” he says, daring me.
“I’m sorry, who are you again?” I ask between fits of laughter.
“Okay, that’s it. Now you’re forcing me to remind you,” he says.
I hear him behind me unzipping his zipper with one hand while the other hand pins me in place. My heart begins to race. My stomach flips, and I feel a rush come over me. I feel his erection—stiff and long—behind me. Knowing his cock is only an inch away from being inside me makes me wet with anticipation.
He squeezes my ass and then inserts his fingers between my legs. He groans softly in my ear, “Babe, I love how wet you get when I touch you. You just don’t know what that does to me.” I don’t reply. I can’t. I have to prep my body to take him in; he’s so big and so thick, I need to concentrate. But as soon as he enters me, all prep is useless. His thrusts are demanding, possessive, and all-consuming. Every time he sinks inside me, he brings a level of ecstasy I didn’t know could exist. And when he withdraws, my body aches for him, begs for him.
We’re on the verge of going over. He extends his arms over mine and interlocks our fingers. The faster and harder he fucks me, the faster and harder I want it. Soon a chorus of groaning and grunts fills the room. We hit the peak of our orgasms and push through until we both collapse. He’s about to pull out but I tighten the walls between my legs, keeping him inside me for a little while longer.
***
It takes almost an hour to get showered and dressed. I blame Cash, and he lies and says he’s sorry. But I can tell by the way he’s beaming that he’s not sorry. That’s okay; I’m not all that sorry myself.
I enter the kitchen, where a small breakfast spread is laid out. He pours me some orange juice and tells me to hurry or I will be insanely late.
“I called a friend at school, she’s gonna cover my kids for an hour, and I’ll make it up to her and take her kids for one hour at the end of the day. She has an appointment,” I explain as I cut into a fresh bagel.
“Does that mean we have time to go another round?” he says as he pulls me into his chest. Damn him for feeling so solid against me. It makes it hard to pull away. But I do.
“Hey, back off, Agent Hunter. I am a grown-up, and I will do grown-up things, like go to work even though I’d rather stay here all day,” I reply.
“You are a grown-up, I know because I was there when you were doing some very grown-up things in the bedroom last night and just now,” he teases. I laugh and take a bite of my bagel.
“All joking aside, babe, are you okay?” he asks.
“Yeah, I really am.”
“It’s just that...”
“What?” I ask.
“Well, I figured you’d be freaking out since we didn’t use a condom.”
As soon
as the words leave his lips, they send me into overdrive. Oh, shit! Seriously, Sky? Did you just forget about protection like a horny teen in the parking lot on prom night?
Shit! Shit! Shit!
My mind is spinning, I think of a million things that could happen next. Everything that was light and easy suddenly feels weighed down and complex.
SHIT!
Cash places a hand on each of my shoulders and looks into my eyes. His voice is calm and firm. “Babe, it’s okay. It’s rare for me to have sex without a condom. But on the rare occasions that I do, I get tested. I get tested regularly. I had my most recent test just before I met you and everything was fine. I’ve only slept with you since then. So, we’re good on my end.”
“Okay,” I reply as I swallow hard.
“What about you, babe?”
“Me? Oh, yeah. I was with Josh a few times without a condom, but I got checked out when I found out I was pregnant. Everything was fine. I haven’t slept with anyone since Josh, so we’re good on my end.”
“Okay.”
“Wait, I’m not on any birth control, there was no need to be. What if I get pregnant?” I ask myself out loud. “What the hell is wrong with me? How could I be so stupid?”
He comes up to me and forces me to look at him. He notes the alarm in my eyes, but he doesn’t match it. He’s calm and acting as if this is no big deal.
“Sky, stop it. It was stupid to have sex without protection. But you didn’t make that decision on your own. I was there, and I was stupid too. But the most important part is that we are both healthy.”
“What about the baby problem?”
“We don’t even know that there is a baby. And if there is one, I wouldn’t call it a ‘problem.’”
“Oh really? Then what would you call it?”
“Something unexpected. But not unwelcomed,” he says after thinking it over.
I nod and accept that we can’t change anything about what’s already taken place. He reads the expression on my face; my faraway look concerns him. He looks at his watch. “Shit, I really do need to get to work. Babe, if it’s on your mind that much and you want to take a morning-after pill, that’s fine too.”
“Yeah, I guess I could do that,” I mumble. He studies me and suppresses a smile.
“What?” I ask once I note his expression.
“You’re overthinking it. There are only two possibilities here. You got pregnant, in which case, I’d be good with that. Or you’re not pregnant, and I’d be okay with that too. Because no matter what happens, I just want to come home to you. Okay?”
“Yeah, okay,” I reply as I lean in for a kiss. He kisses me back but it’s way too quick; however, I get it. We really are super late for work.
“We’ll talk tonight,” he says as we exit his house.
“Oh shoot, I forgot my cell,” I reply as I search my handbag.
“Baby, I gotta go. Here, take the key, lock up. Dinner tonight, okay?”
“Okay,” I reply as I head back into the house. I planned to go home and change out of this dress, but now I’m so damn late, I’ll have to ask Kenzy to get me something from my place before she comes to school for afternoon classes. I enter the house and look around for my cell.
Where the hell is it?
I go from room to room and can’t find the damn thing. I hear a key in the door and wonder if Cash forgot something. But it’s not Cash who opens the door; it’s a woman.
***
She’s black, with flawless skin and a pixie haircut. Her face is perfectly made up, and her outfit is right off the runway. She’s all designer and all glam.
“Who are you?” I ask, not sure how to react.
“Hi, I’m Shelby! You must be Quick,” she says as she comes towards me. I take a step back, and she shakes her head laughing.
“I’m Cash’s sister-in-law. I married the oldest son.”
“Oh, okay. Hi,” I reply, shaking her hand, still unsure of what exactly is going on.
“I’ve heard so much about you. Well, actually I haven’t heard a lot, but I’ve put a few of the pieces together, and well, here you are. Quick, it’s nice to finally meet you.”
“My name is Skylar,” I counter.
“Yeah, that’s what I said,” she replies.
“Okay, anyway. Cash isn’t here. He just left for work.”
“Really? He’s late. Oh, I see why...” she says as she looks towards the bedroom and the heap of sheets on the unmade bed.
I close the bedroom door and ask, “Is Cash okay with you having keys to his house?”
“Um, I’m sure he would be—if he knew.” She laughs.
“I think you should go,” I suggest.
“Not before I get a good look at you—can’t lie, you are as pretty as he said you were.”
“Cash said I was pretty?” I ask before I can stop myself.
“No, Cash wouldn’t say anything to me about his love life; it’s the Hunter brothers’ way. They are so damn secretive. And that’s why I’m forced to find things out on my own. And according to his other brother, Wyatt, Cash’s love life has gotten interesting. But from what I heard, you’re a little skittish and quick to run, hence the name ‘Quick’”
“Excuse me?”
“Oh, now, now. No need to get all formal and stuff. I don’t know you yet, but I could see liking you.”
“Oh joy,” I reply sarcastically.
“I know I come off a little strong, but I have nothing but the best of intentions. I know all five of the brothers better than they know themselves. And I met both Wyatt and Logan’s wives. I knew right away they were a match, even before the guys did.”
“How’d you know?”
“It’s a gift. Now, you can think of me as the woman who is here to make the next ten minutes awkward for you or you can use me as a source of information for all things going on in ‘Hunter Ville,’” she says.
“Um, I don’t need to know anything.”
She tilts her head and squints as if daring me to stick by my statement. “Is that really how you want to play this, Quick?” she says with a genuine smile.
“My name is...never mind. You need to leave. I don’t think Cash would appreciate you being here.”
“Please, he’s a man. What do they know? He still thinks he can keep Monica away just by not calling her. Crazy. Like any woman in the history of the world ever walked away from great sex because of a few missed calls.”
“Monica? Who’s Monica?”
She reads the alarm on my face. “Oh no, honey. Monica and he were never a couple. But they did wreck some hotel rooms from what I hear. Anyway, they are not together.”
I inhale deeply and try to stay focused on the issue at hand. “Shelby, you have to go.”
She looks me up and down. “How was it?” she inquires.
“How was what?”
“Last night? I have a few friends on the board of trustees; they attended the gala last night. I was told the two of you would be attending as well, but you guys never made it. That’s why I’m here, to inspect you for myself. And yes, I did miss a spa appointment for this, but hey, it’s for a worthwhile cause—can’t get more worthwhile than Cash, right?”
“Wait a second; you have friends on the board?”
“Well, we all need friends, don’t we? We can’t live by good sex alone, although it looks like Cash may be able to carry you through the winter. Congrats by the way! You know, he’s the one brother I would ask a ‘hall pass’ for,” she says with a suggestive smile.
“You mean—”
“If I wasn’t happily married to the older brother...”
“Okay, I need to get to work, and again, you need to leave.”
“Why?”
“Because I can’t leave you here in his house knowing he didn’t give you a key.”
“No, not that. Why are you a flight risk? Cash is hot. I mean give-you-an-orgasm-from-across-the-room hot. He’s got more money than he’ll ever say out loud, and although he
acts tough, he’s got a big heart. But you know those things—hence the bedroom acrobatics, so what’s up, Road Runner; why you running?”
Chapter 14
SKYLAR
I meet up with Kenzy in the teacher’s lounge at school, and she hands me the morning-after pill.
“How did you know I would need this?”
“As hot as Cash is, I’m surprised you two made it to the bed.” I look at the pill but don’t open it.
“Honey, you don’t have to take it if you don’t want to. The important thing is that you have the option,” she says.
“I know; thanks.”
“Cash seemed to be okay if you turn out to be pregnant.”
Yeah, so did Josh, at first.
“Cash is not like Josh. And treating him that way is the fastest way to lose him,” Kenzy says.
I take the pill and put it in my purse. “Hey, stay out of my head,” I tease.
“Best friend super-powers. Can’t help it.”
“I should take the pill. I mean, it’s the sensible thing.”
“You had earth-shattering orgasms. You no longer have to be sensible.”
“Yeah, I don’t think life works like that.”
“Well, it’s up to you. No judgment either way, chica,” she says as she hugs me.
A few hours later, the school day is over. However, there are always a few parents that are late to pick their kids up. Most of them try genuinely hard to make it there on time, but they live far away. It takes them multiple trains or buses to get here. We feel bad for the kids who are regularly last to get picked up. So on nice days like today, we let them run around in the schoolyard. When the parents get here, they round up their kid and come to us to sign them out.
Kenzy and I had lunch earlier, away from the kids, and we talked about last night. She insists that I now have a better sex life than she does and wants to get a look at the other Hunter brothers. Kenzy was her old self, but today I think she’s even more bubbly and happy. It’s not just because, as she puts it, “The dry spell is over,” it’s also because her parents’ visit went better than she thought it would. Her dad seemed happier than he had ever been before, and her mom loved this new side of him. Kenzy has a few different theories about her dad’s new sunny disposition.
