J. L. Comeau

  Comeau, a resident of Virginia, has been reading horror since the days of EC Comics. Her credits include Borderlands 2, Year's Best Horror XIX, Best New Horror 2, Grue, Haunts, Twisted Dreams & Nightmares, ad others. She is currently working on her second novel.

  Matthew Costello

  Multigenre author Costello has written science fiction including Midsummer and Time of the Fox, horror including Wurm, fantasy including The Wizard of Tizare, mainstream thrillers like Home, and nonfantasy including The Greatest Games of All Time. He lives in New York.

  Don D’Ammassa

  D’Ammassa, from Rhode Island, is the author of Blood Beast and a forthcoming book about horror fiction. The full-time writer has had short stories in the anthologies Hotter Blood, Shock Rock, Chilled to the Bone, and Souls in Pawn, as well as various horror magazines. He regularly reviews books for Science Fiction Chronicles.

  Ron Dee

  Dee's novels include Boundaries, Brain Fever, Blood Lust, Dusk, Descent, and his latest, Succumb. He recently moved to Missouri, where he is working on three more novels. His story in Hottest Blood is one of his first short horror tales.

  Michael Garrett

  Garrett is a freelance writer-editor and instructor of writing seminars at college campuses across the Southeast. His work has appeared in Twilight Zone and numerous men’s magazines. His first novel, Keeper, was published in 1990 and has been optioned for a TV movie. Garrett is a lifelong resident of Alabama.

  Jeff Gelb

  Gelb, who lives in California, is the author of Specters, the co-editor of Hot Blood and Hotter Blood, and the editor of Shock Rock. He is a regular columnist for Comic Buyers Guide and Comic Book Marketplace and a former columnist for Radio & Records.

  Nancy Holder

  Nancy Holder, of California, has sold two dozen horror and fantasy short stories to Borderlands, Greystone Bay, Women of Darkness, Pulphouse, Obsessions, Cold Shocks, Still Dead, Narrow Houses, and others, and has been awarded the Horror Writers of America Stoker Award for best short story. She has also sold thirteen romance and two mainstream novels. Her books have been translated into more than fifteen languages.

  Chris Lacher

  Lacher is no stranger to short horror stories, as the editor of New Blood magazine and a contributing editor to Iniquities. He is the co-editor of the Nasties horror anthology and a frequent contributor to such anothologies as Scare Care and H2ORRORS. He lives in California.

  Bentley Little

  A native Arizonan currently living in California, Little has had over fifty short stories published in various literary, horro, and men’s magazines. He is the author of The Mailman and the Bram Stoker Award-winning The Revelation.

  Elizabeth Massie

  Massie has had horror fiction printed in Women of Darkness, Obsessions, Borderlands, Year's Best Fantasy and Horror, A Whisper of Blood, Dead End: City Limits, and more. Her first novel, Sineater, will be appearing from a British publisher. The Stoker Award-winning writer lives in Virginia.

  Graham Masterton

  Masterton lives close to the Derby race course in England. His latest horror novels include Walkers and Master of Lies. He has completed an epic sequel to his very first horror novel, The Manitou, called Bad Moon Rising. He is now working on a mammoth romantic saga set in the 1970s.

  Rex Miller

  Miller came into prominence with his first of six serial-killer thrillers, Slob. His firt two Pocket Books titles were Chaingang and the forthcoming Savant. Miller is the author of two nonfiction books, more than thirty short stories, and two teleplays. He resides in Missouri.

  Grant Morrison

  Morrison lives in Scottland and is the award-winning writer of numerous successful and critically acclaimed graphic novels, including the controversial St. Swithin’s Day and The New Adventures of Hitler and the revisionist Batman book Arkham Asylum. He is also a successful playwright and is currently working on his first novel, Mystery City.

  David J. Schow

  California’s Schow is an award-winning writer of short fiction. His latest published collection was Look Out He’s Got a Knife, and waiting in the wings is Black Leather Required. His latest novel is The Shaft, and most recently Schow has penned several screenplays, including Dial M and The Crow. He writes a semi-regular column for Fangoria.

  John Shirley

  Shirley, who lives in California, is the author of numerous science fiction, horror, and suspense novels, including Eclipse, A Splendid Chaos, Dracula in Love, Transmaniacon, The Brigade, In Darkness Waiting, Cellars, and Wet Bones. His short stories have been frequent “best of” anthology choices in the science fiction and fantasy fields and have appeared everywhere from Omni to Oui.

  Melanie Tem

  Tem, who resides in Colorado, is the author of Prodigal, Blood Moon, and Wilding. Her short fiction has appeared in Final Shadows, Cold Shocks, Show White Blood Red, Woman of Darkness, Best New Horror II, Dark Voices, and others.

  Steve Rasnic Tem

  Tem has sold over 180 short stories, with recent or forthcoming tales in Metahorror, In Dreams, Stalkers 3, Psycho Paths 2, New Crimes 3, The Daedulus Book of Femme Fatales, Gauntlet 3, Snow White Blood Red, and more. He lives in Colorado.

  Thomas Tessier

  Connecticut’s Tessier is the best-selling author of Rapture, Finishing Touches, Nightwalker, and more. His latest novel, The White Gods, is due soon, along with a collection of his “tales of panic.”

  Graham Watkins

  Watkins, who resides in North Carolina, was a student of parapsychological research and music who builds and repairs organs. He has written two novels, The Fire Within and Dark Winds, and has published a novella in Guignoir and Other Furies.

  Julie Wilson

  From Maine, Wilson is a former professional model who is exploring new career directions as a writer. Her Hottest Blood story represents her first published work.
