By the time you’re reading this, the overall arc of the stories is now complete. They were always intended as a series of shorts, each one containing a new adventure and yet advancing the arc. It’s been a challenge to write, and also fun, but the natural ending point has come.
My intention was to give folks a bit of an escape from the world and a fun story besides. But it became clear, from almost the start, that readers wanted everything compiled in one easy-to-read form. Hence the book you hold in your hands.
For an introvert writer, self-quarantine has honestly not been hard. But I know that I’m the exception rather than the rule, and my heart goes out to all of you who are anxious, stressed, sad, suffering, or upset in any way. Please know that you’re always in my thoughts.
I look forward to a time when we’re all back to our pre-pandemic lives. But for now, please do your best to stay healthy, sane, and safe. I’m counting on you.
