“Duck!” Daimon whispers. The man who was sitting 3 rows behind us walks past, his large red eyes looking for any sign of Daimon and me.
“Open the window.” Daimon whispers once his footsteps disappear. I slide open the window and crouch back down next to him. “Now what.” I ask, unable to mask the panic in my voice.
“We jump.” He winks at me.
I get up and put my foot onto the ledge of the window. It is small but just big enough for me to fit through. I hear a large roar followed by the splintering of glass.
I look back to see three pairs of hands grabbing Daimon’s coat. It looks like something out of Night of the Living Dead, and if I wasn’t so panicked, I would have laughed.
“Jump!” he says. I look at the wet, rainy landscape outside the train and look back at Daimon. “NOW Isabelle!” he yells as he fights up the arms, stabbing them with a butter knife he found on top of the train guard’s green Ikea lunch box.
“Oh, for god’s sake Isabelle!”
“What?”
Not a second later I was hurdling through the evening air, large black wings wrapped around me, swooping me up into the cold Scottish countryside. They were on to us. And now they knew exactly where we were going…
THE END
Hi! It’s me… Isabelle,
I got myself in a but of a pickle here. But don’t worry! I can fight my way out of it, and I am pretty sure Daimon will do his best to keep the evil demons at bay.
