Harvest: A Dark Sci-Fi Reverse Harem Romance Page 10

Voltar noticed my gaze and immediately placed his leg on the edge of a chair, yanking my shivering body over his knee. “You will forever belong to me.”

As his hand came down, smacking hard against my buttocks, I squirmed as I tried to remain a good girl and stay in position. “Yes, master.”

He issued several more, all hard and fast until the pain mixed with my raging desire, rolling up and down my legs. My bottom was on fire, my pussy clenching. I’d been used and punished on several occasions, but I always craved more, hungering to please them in every way. But this particular beast was my true master, leaving me like a crazed animal in heat, longing for his cock in my mouth, my pussy, and my ass.

“You’re a very bad girl, but soon that will change,” Voltar stated with raw authority, his voice booming in the dense space.

I clung to him as he peppered each ass cheek with brutal smacks, one after the other, the sounds of his massive hand hitting my soft skin filtering into my scattered mind. I was breathless, undulating my groin and slickening his skin with my pussy juice. As the spanking continued, tears formed in my eyes, allowing such relief as they flowed, salty beads dropping onto the cold concrete floor.

Seconds later, he fisted my hair, yanking me to the bed and pushing me down. I opened my legs as wide as possible and all for him, for my stunning master.

Issuing a series of husky growls, he dropped down, hovering over me seconds before he drove the entire length of his cock inside. He was so large, the girth so wide that I screamed, clawing his back.

I writhed underneath him, my naked body undulating as he stroked me, his throbbing cock pumping deep inside. A whirlwind of sensations rocketed to the very core, taking me to a heightened state of nirvana. I felt his tendril free itself from the tight confines, wicking up further inside, tickling every nerve. I curled my legs around his hips, clasping my feet as his actions became more savage.

He thrust harder and faster, his eyes glowing as he stared down at me. My pussy muscles were stretched wide open, his cock filling me completely. I could sense his impending orgasm, coupling with my own. As I clenched my pussy, he tipped his head back and roared. The feel of his hot seed spewing deep inside stole my breath and seconds later, his shaft began to swell, leaving me gasping for air.

I panted, lurching forward when his removed his hand, wanting nothing more than to beg him for another caress, to finish the exquisite fantasy he’d created. Oh, God. Oh, God! The vision was so real, vivid in every detail and I knew only a small telling of what would be done to my body, what would be required every day. I gasped for air and I could no longer focus but I heard every word as he whispered them, so commanding.

  So dominating.

“I will own you, little human, and when you belong to me, you will learn about discipline.”

Swallowing hard, I wanted so much to retort, but he’d captured me with his alluring mannerisms and the depth of his burning soul. He took a step back, yet the connection remained, furrowing deep into my psyche.

  I would obey him.

  I would please him.

  I would succumb to him.

“On this great day in June, we are prepared for the Feast!” The New Republic member lifted his arm, allowing the final bell to be rung, the swirling noise creating echoes in my ears, an ache in my heart.

  Boom!

  Boom!

  Boom!

The drums indicated high noon; the moment of madness was upon us.

I heard the disappointed cries coming from the other women and I didn’t bother to look. I simply raised my arm toward the Centurion, toward Voltar, the man who’d come to claim his prize. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed the flashing red glow flowing from my outstretched arm.

“Yes. Yes!” Chants erupted from the crowd, laughter and giddiness drowning out every other noise.

But Voltar and I didn’t need to speak. We had our own language.

And this was just the beginning.

  Chapter Eight

  Voltar

“I will own you, little human, and when you belong to me, you will learn about discipline.”

The words I’d spoken to the human female remained furrowed in the back of my mind. I’d almost tasted her during the middle of the ceremony, the longing so significant. My cock remained thick and hard, aching to be inside of her. The vision had been startling, the strong bond between us more unusual that I’d ever experienced. I could almost feel her pussy muscles surrounding my cock, the warmth and wetness extraordinary. I fisted my mouth, my hunger keeping me from my duties. Then I looked at my hand, almost able to see a slight blush of redness, much like I knew her ass cheeks would have after another hard spanking.

I’d seen her dark cravings buried deep in her mind, her longing to have a strict master with a firm hand. I wasn’t surprised, but I was intrigued.

Damn, I craved this human in an unbridled fashion. To fuck her, fill her, and feast on her sweet pussy. I wanted nothing more than to have my cock fill her, the bulbous tip expanding until we were coupled for several beautiful minutes. My hearts were beating to the point my adrenaline was running far too high, keeping an ache just behind my eyes.

Hissing, I walked toward the window, glaring out at the late afternoon sun, placing my fingers on the glass. The warmth spilling into my hand was merely a reminder of my rightful task. I continued to have difficulty believing that everything I’d worked so hard to achieve during these last three years held no meaning or recognition. My only consolation was that Degan had been just as surprised as the rest of my men. He certainly hadn’t expected being selected for such an honor. I growled even thinking the word.

I’d played over the scenario in my mind a dozen times, trying to grasp any reason why it was much more important to mate than capturing Zayn. The man needed to be taken out of commission. I couldn’t make sense of the commander’s words or the way he’d issued them.

Soon, Kodroth, Degan, and I would return to the colony, providing the well-earned supplies, staying for the simple gathering the entire population would attend. I’d be forced to pretend, as would the other two for fear of being punished, imprisoned simply for asking questions. I would get to the bottom of such an atrocious decision, but likely not until I reached Skars. Then I would scour our planet in search of answers. So who would lead my illustrious team on Earth? I had no way of knowing.

Felicity would be sequestered at the colony, waiting, presented as the gift meant for a king. I abhorred the pomp and circumstance, but there was no doubt I was eager to see her again. Her feminine scent had stayed with me, draped over my skin like a warm blanket. She had no idea the kind of effect she had on me. Soon, I would ravage her, taking what now rightfully belonged to me. She was also completely wild, needing a firm hand and I feared that disciplining her would take weeks, if not months. And people would be watching. Damn, the female infuriated me.

“If I didn’t know better, I’d say you were daydreaming,” Kodroth said quietly as he fiddled with the various liquor bottles. “You have quite the collection. More since I last shared a drink with you.”

I blinked several times, trying to get the images out of my mind. I hadn’t touched my drink and my parched throat was to the point of clenching shut. “I drink to stop the worry.”

He nodded, continuing to shift the bottles. “We will get through this.”

“Only if we learn the truth. Why take us away from hunting Zayn?”

“Other than we excel at what we do?” His smile quickly faded as he concentrated on my expression. “There has to be a reason, Voltar, and perhaps it’s not our job to question the motives.”

I struggled with his words. “And what happens if we don’t question often enough, Kodroth? What will happen to our people?”

Kodroth exhaled, shaking his head. “You take everything too seriously, my friend. We have no choice in this. The alternative is not something I care to think about.” His chuckle was dark. “And why is sharing a bed with this human such a
terrible thing to experience? Isn’t that what you want, to enjoy the spoils of war?”

War. “We must be careful, but yes, I will savor the time spent with her.”

  “Forever distrustful.”

“Merely cautious, Kodroth.” I closed my eyes, envisioning her face. “She is...”

“Beautiful? Formidable? Unlike other human females? That I agree with, but I’m not certain what that means. Given our upgraded status to Feast candidates, our enjoyment will be not of this earth. Pardon my pun, my friend.” Kodroth selected a liquor and poured a glass, grabbing mine and shoving it into my hand. “This is a cause for celebration, Voltar. You look enraged.”

“I have reasons to be.” I polished off the drink in one gulp, now ready for more. My instincts regarding both the good and bad of our mission remained firmly in place.

“I understand your distaste for the commander, but I feel another reason for your rage. You’re not happy that Degan is a part of this, are you?” Kodroth asked, his eyes flashing with pure amusement. “I do remember him from our training days. He enjoys taking short cuts.”

I rubbed my eyes, anger replacing desire. “He is a fool, or perhaps we are for agreeing to this.” I couldn’t tell him anything and the realization was killing me.

“I don’t think we had a choice and truthfully, I don’t think he did either. I saw his face. He was... incensed. I also don’t think you’re going to mind being mated to that particular human.” He laughed when I remained quiet, finally patting me on the shoulder. “Don’t look so down, my friend. If I didn’t know better, I’d say the two of you had a very strong connection. Your touch with her was... Let’s just say I could almost taste her from where I was standing. Amazing imagery.”

I shook my head and looked away. Touching her had created an even more intense tethering, one that could only be broken by my death. While it hadn’t been my intent at the time, my draw to the woman was undeniable, leaving me acting with my cock instead of my head. “Don’t say it. She will grow to enjoy all three of us.”

Kodroth shook his head. “Uh-huh. Again, there is no choice, but what you two share already is enigmatic.”

I remained quiet, contemplating everything that occurred in the last twenty-four hours.

“You do realize we are allowed to taste her tonight, to experience her at the human Feast. That’s one particularly scintillating aspect about being on Earth. We aren’t forced to wait any longer for our prize.” Kodroth had a sinful smile on his face.

“This is time for her to say goodbye to her family. We will not interfere.”

“Always the follower of rules. Well, perhaps I should say usually.” He lifted a single eyebrow before taking a gulp of his drink. “I don’t see anything wrong with a single taste of her sweet pussy.”

His words were already refueling the hunger furrowing in my loins. I would have difficulty not following my carnal instinct, taking what belonged to me. “Not tonight.”

“What is really bothering you at this point?”

“Everything about this particular Feast. Too tidy. Too clean. Why do I feel like we’ve been set up? I don’t like where any of this is going, Kodroth. We had direct orders from the High Council to flush out the marauders in order to be able to bring the hybrids to this planet in the near future. Why bring another on board to replace us now? Why?”

“I don’t know. Do you mean because we were asked to be a part of the ceremony? Or are you talking about why the marauders are taking a stronger stand?”

I gave my friend a look. He was just as bewildered as I was. I had a feeling there was much more going on behind the scenes. I hadn’t seen any sign yet of the ships that should have already been sent. The chosen women left immediately on the second day and I had no doubt that was still going to happen. They would also be taking the prisoners, their punishment chosen by the High Council.

“Both. Degan mentioned Zayn in that he was sent here specifically to hunt the marauder. Have you heard anything of the kind?”

Kodroth seemed surprised. “There has been nothing mentioned among the other soldiers, at least not to my knowledge. You do realize that Zayn has never been seen or wielded his supposed magic since we’ve been here. Why would Degan be sent here then allowed to participate in the Feast if he was directed to try and find this dangerous demon?”

What Kodroth said was true. Zayn had never been captured, nor had he been seen up close by any of our soldiers. To some Centurions, the human was just a myth.

  But I knew better.

I also knew what he was capable of.

“That’s the question I want an answer to.” My answer was purposely vague. I heard the sound of the door opening, could feel the tension the moment Degan rushed past the threshold, his eyes holding daggers in them.

“What exactly did you think you were doing?” he demanded.

I snapped my head in Degan’s direction, chuckling under his breath. “In what way do you mean?”

“Don’t give me that crap, Voltar. You imprinted with her, refusing to give either Kodroth or myself the opportunity.” Degan stormed all the way inside, refusing to back down. He paced back and forth, fuming to the point his face had changed colors. “It’s bad enough my father didn’t trust me with the truth. Now, this... bullshit!”

Imprint. The ability was innate within our kind, but not generally used with mating ceremonies—not unless specifically authorized. Her connection with me would refute the efforts of her other mates, unless her defenses were broken down completely. I remained angry at myself for my impulsive actions, even though they hadn’t been intentional. I knew the rules. I’d placed her potentially in harm’s way.

“He doesn’t have to answer to you, Degan,” Kodroth stated as if for both of us, his demeanor changing, his own anger surfacing.

“Since we are a part of this together, he is required to allow all three of us to mate, thereby refuting the imprinting practice. You are well aware of the process. The rules were changed the moment we landed on this planet.” Degan pointed his finger, spewing the words.

“Enough!” I gave both men a hard glare. Degan was using his anger as a tool to hide whatever else he knew. “We have no time for this. I fear the marauders will make another attempt tonight. We should warn the others.”

Degan narrowed his eyes. “Because of the recent number of captures?”

“That and because you initially came to capture Zayn,” I said, merely fishing to see what the man knew.

“Yes. That’s what I was told, Voltar.”

When he pursed his lips, I slapped my hand around his throat, lifting him off his feet. “You fucking monster. You baited me with that. Why?” I was surprised at Degan’s lack of reaction.

“Dispense with your anger, Voltar. Let him go.” Kodroth stood by my arm. “Whatever is going on, we have to work together, including taking and protecting our pet.”

“She is a human and chosen for a reason. But she has her own mind and certain important qualities.” I dropped Degan, immediately taking a step back. The lottery was merely a shadowing tactic being used.

Coughing, Degan rubbed his throat but didn’t try to retaliate in any manner. “I’m... not... lying.”

“What is going on with you?” Kodroth demanded. “What haven’t you told me? What haven’t you told the men you’ve trusted for years?”

I could tell by the gleam in Degan’s eye that he knew more than he was telling. “Spill it, Degan. As a High Council member’s son, why don’t you tell Kodroth the truth about the lottery system?”

“There’s nothing to tell,” Degan retorted.

I smashed my hand on the closet surface. “Bullshit!”

“You know I can’t!” Degan said between gritted teeth. “Are you going to break your oath to our government and do so? I would report you for treason.”

“Then do as you will. I’m not playing any games.”

“What in the hell is going on?” Kodroth paced the room, shaking his head. “Why
was this particular female chosen and how? I thought this was a random lottery.”

“Don’t be naïve, Kodroth.” Degan stalked toward the bar. “You had to realize that the lottery is rigged on both sides. This was nothing more than a mechanism for keeping good soldiers, a game for the High Council.”

Kodroth exhaled, finished his drink, then walked toward the window, staring up at the full moon sliding above the horizon. “I guess we all did. I doubt there’s a Centurion alive who doesn’t know only the supreme beings of our world are selected. I guess we all wanted to believe in something else. Look at what we’re building. Think about all the sacrifices. How could we not want hope for a better life?”

His words hung in the air.

“As far as the women, how and for what reason?” Kodroth asked quietly.

I gave Degan a harsh glare and could read his thoughts even without doing so. Degan chuckled as he took a sip of his drink. “Come on, Kodroth. The implants? The women are checked for viability. Many are not suitable for breeding given the effects of the war. Much like our own females.”

Kodroth glared up at the ceiling before sighing. “Of course. Only the finest breeders. I need another drink for all these revelations. I’ll ask the same question Voltar asked me earlier. Why were we selected? What is the point? Our work here is vital in comparison to a few more children.” He walked to the bar, dramatically dropping ice into the glass before grabbing a bottle.

“Mating is also vital to everyone, the children special. You are both aware of this. The High Council feels that this work is supreme to everything else,” Degan managed, wiping his mouth then standing to his full height. “That is not something I’d ever lie about.”

I was merely venturing a guess, but I had to know if Degan was with us. “The success of the Feasts is important and we all know the reasons why. Why do you think you were selected after all?”

“Wow,” Kodroth breathed. “This conversation gets more interesting.”
