“Maybe it was,” she murmured, regretting her words almost instantly.

He grinned. “I’m a fan of thinking that way,” he said on a grunt as he pushed himself inside her again.

After a few more gentle thrusts, she whimpered as he pulled out.

“What’s the matter, Doll? Do you need me to fuck you properly?”

She nodded emphatically. “Yes please, Sir. I like the way you fuck me.”

His eyes shrouded with lust and he hooked his hands beneath her knees, lifting her legs. His hips shoved against her and he began to move faster and harder, pounding into her. The way he held her legs and had her hips propped up, it felt like he was going deeper than normal

“Finger your clit,” he commanded harshly as he fucked her.

She let her hand drift between her thighs and found her clit. A gentle swipe of her finger nearly sent her over the edge, but she willed herself to hold back.

“Don’t hold back, Doll. Come for me,” he commanded.

She let herself relax and massaged her clit again, this time letting the wave overtake her.

He wasn’t far behind her and she felt his hot seed unleashing inside of her as he braced himself against the bed and groaned out his release.

He eased out of her and collapsed beside her a moment later.

“Now that’s a better way to start the day than a run,” he murmured when he’d caught his breath.

She let out a giggle. “I wholeheartedly agree. Even the spanking was better than running.”

He turned on his side and tickled her ribs. “Maybe now you won’t protest when I want to put a little color on that sexy ass of yours?”

She shrugged. “I still don’t like the way you spank me when I’m in trouble.”

He slapped a hand on his forehead and rolled his eyes heavenward. “That’s because you’re not supposed to like it, Doll. It’s punishment meant to discourage or encourage certain behaviors. And I would say it works too. You’ve done much better about taking care of yourself since I gave you a good blistering.”

She ducked her head into his shoulder, embarrassed to talk about punishment so openly like this.

“Alright then, Doll. Come on and get in the shower with me. I want to take you shopping.”

“I should really check on the girls.”

“Of course. But shower first. Unless you just want to walk over to the main house with my semen dripping down your thighs.”

She shook her head and quickly scrambled toward the bathroom for a shower.

In the main house, Catarina was already awake and on the phone with her cousins planning their day.

“Don’t forget to help your sister make plans, Cat,” Isabelle said as she rummaged through the refrigerator for food to cook. She pulled out eggs, bacon, cheese, peppers, and onions and set about making omelets for everyone.

“Can I help?” Garrett asked as he leaned against the bar and watched her work.

She grinned at him. “I don’t know, can you? You don’t exactly strike me as a guy who knows his way around a kitchen.”

He laughed. “OK, you’ve got me there. But I’m still willing to try.”

“OK. You can slice some avocado. I think I saw some in the bottom of the fridge.”

“Seems easy enough,” he said as he rounded the kitchen island and opened the fridge. “Which one is the avocado again?”

Isabelle turned to stare at him, wondering if he was serious. In his hand, he held an orange and a cucumber with a smirk on his face.

She rolled her eyes. “I didn’t say you were ignorant. I just said I don’t picture you doing a lot of cooking. Enough with the jokes, wise guy.”

He stuck his head back in the fridge and came out with a bag of avocados.

“Serious question, how many do you want me to slice?”

She paused dicing the onion and thought about it. “Let’s do a half for each person so start with three.”

He dug around until he found another cutting board and knife, then he pulled out his phone and started typing. Isabelle went back to her work until he set the phone against the knife block on the bar and tapped the screen.

A video instructing him on how to slice an avocado played, echoing in the loud kitchen. Isabelle stared at him incredulously, knife in midair.

He didn’t seem to notice her because he leaned into the counter intently watching the video while he held an avocado in one hand.

“What’s he doing?” Catarina whispered in her ear.

Isabelle forced herself to stop staring and hold in her snicker as she went back to her onions and peppers. Garrett followed the video instructions perfectly and soon had neatly sliced avocados on a plate, ready for the omelets when they were done.

“Very impressive,” she said as he brushed past her a moment later. He let his fingers graze her butt as he passed.

“Anything else you want me to do?”

She giggled. “No. I think that was plenty. I don’t know if I could hold in my laughter through another YouTube tutorial.”

“Hey, I got the job done, didn’t I?” he retorted coming to stand behind her again.

“In the kitchen, and in the bedroom,” he murmured against her ear causing her to blush. Luckily, Catarina had returned to her phone and wasn’t paying attention to them anymore.

“Go watch the news with my dad unless you want burnt omelets.”

He didn’t move. Instead, he rested his hands on her hips and said, “I don’t know, if you burn breakfast that gives me an excuse to drag you to the pool house and spank you again.”

“Stop,” she hissed, feeling her pussy clench at his words. “And why does that sound so fucking hot? It’s not fair.”

He laughed. “It sounds hot because it is hot. But I’ll have mercy and go.” His lips pressed against her neck and shoulder and it felt as if he’d seared her there. God, they’d already had mind-blowing sex this morning and she was ready to drag him back to bed.

“Good morning, Jacob, Henry,” she heard Garrett say as he dropped onto the sofa to watch whatever news show they were watching.

The older men grunted their response, and Isabelle focused her attention on omelets. Soon she had a fluffy yellow concoction on each plate and was topping them with the avocado. She dug around for sour cream and, not surprisingly, found some to add to breakfast.

She quickly sliced some oranges and toasted several slices of sourdough toast to finish each plate off then lined them up along the island.

“Breakfast is ready, come grab a plate,” she called.

Garrett hopped up and told Henry to sit back down. “I’ll bring yours back with me.”

The girls scrambled into the kitchen and grabbed their plates. “Can we eat by the pool?”

  Isabelle smiled. “Of course.”

They ran out of the house and into the backyard where she watched them take over two lounge chairs with their plates and phones.

“This trip is good for them,” her dad said as he picked up his plate. “Thanks for breakfast, Isabelle.”

Garrett sat on the sofa and balanced his plate on the arm. Isabelle poured them both coffee before joining the adults in the living room. She set her food on the coffee table and sat cross-legged on the floor after handing Garrett his coffee.

“Thank you, Doll,” he murmured as he took an appreciative sip and set it aside.

“Can we please watch anything but the news?” Isabelle asked. “We’re on vacation, I feel like we can go without it for a few hours.”

Henry grumbled but tossed her the remote. She scrolled through until she found an old sitcom. “What’s on the agenda today?” Garrett asked as he ate.

“Just the party tonight. I’m sure some of the cousins are going to the beach again, but one trip is really all I can handle. The girls will want to go sometime soon.”

“And where is the party tonight?”

Isabelle rolled her eyes. “At the country club up the road.”

  “You don’t s
ound thrilled,” Garrett said.

She shrugged as she cut into her food. “It’s just a little old-fashioned and the DJ they get is sometimes a little hokey. It would be nice if they would do something for the younger adults after the older folks have gone home.”

“I’m sure we can find a few ways to liven things up a bit.”

She turned and narrowed her eyes at Garrett. “No meddling.”

He frowned at her but didn’t say anything, just picked up his fork and shoveled another bite of omelet into his mouth.

The adults ate their breakfast in silence as they watched tv. The girls came running in and asked to go to the beach with some of their cousins. Isabelle got up to make sure adults were going to be on hand. When she came back inside, Garrett was putting his plate in the sink.

“Breakfast was delicious, Doll. Are you ready to go into town and go shopping?”

“What could you possibly want to buy me now? I have an entire closet full of clothes to wear thanks to you.”

“Those are work clothes. Maybe I want to buy you a bikini.”

She giggled. “I do not wear bikinis.”

“Yep, definitely buying you a bikini.” She rolled her eyes.

“Fine. Let’s get this over with, then.”

“Good girl. I need to make a couple of phone calls and then I’ll be ready.”

One of those phone calls turned out to be ordering a car delivered for him to drive. Some fancy silver sports thing. Cars had never been something she knew much about. Why were men so fascinated with them?

They drove into town and spent the afternoon shopping at a variety of stores. She walked away with new jeans, tops, and yes, a two-piece bathing suit.

By the time they made it back to the beach house, it was almost time to head to the country club where they would have dinner followed by a party for everyone.

When they arrived at the club, the parking lot was nearly full. Their family took over the entire building for the evening. It was theirs until the wee hours of the morning.

Walking in felt different this time. She’d never brought a date to one of these before and certainly never a well-known billionaire who rubbed shoulders with the president.

Garrett held her hand as they walked in the entryway. Right away, it felt different. It was still the same country club, but the decorations were fresh. In fact, she spotted a staff member hustling a box of decorations into a hallway as if they had just finished.

The DJ was setting up in the corner—the same uncle who had done it the past three reunions.

“IZZY!” A woman came barreling toward her and nearly knocked her over.

“Hey Sabrina,” she said, returning the hug. It was clear her cousin was already at least three margaritas deep.

“Girl. I tried to bring my usual supply of booze and mixers to set up and they wouldn’t let me. I was fit to be tied. But then I get in here and wouldn’t you know it, Aunt Sandy really stepped up her game and quit being a cheap ass. There’s a damn full bar. Now I don’t even have to do any work to get wasted. It’s gonna be such a grand night.”

Isabelle found it hard to believe that Sandy Lopez would provide a full open bar. The woman barely approved of the cousins’ regular MO of getting plastered on booze they brought into the venue themselves.

As she was turning to Garrett to comment on how odd it was realization hit her. She jabbed a finger into his chest and glared.

“I told you not to meddle.”

  Chapter Twenty-Seven

Garrett took a step back and held up his hands. “I just wanted to contribute something, Doll”

“So, you provided an open bar? Do you know how much these people can drink? You’re going to wind up bankrupt before the night is over.”

Garrett laughed, amused that she was so irritated with him. Now he was wondering if the DJ he’d arranged for after ten was such a good idea. Hunter knew someone who was available.

“How about I get you a drink and you can be mad at me with a buzz,” he said with a wink.

Just then another unnamed cousin came swooping by. “Open bar, Iz, how cool is this?” he said holding up a cocktail.

Isabelle sighed and he knew she’d been worn down.

“OK fine. It was a good idea. Just don’t think you’re going to be able to buy your way into my family’s good graces.”

Garrett held her hand as they walked to the bar. They stopped to chat with various family members and Isabelle introduced him as her boyfriend. Something they’d talked about before arriving.

“What are we drinking tonight?” he asked as they stood in line at the bar.

“I think it’s a tequila kind of night.”

“Margaritas or shots?” he asked with a smirk.

“Maybe both,” she said with a grin.

He sighed. He’d been warned that a lot of drinking would happen tonight, and Isabelle had made it clear she intended to get drunk. Being drunk wasn’t his cup of tea, but he could enjoy a buzz now and then. Tonight, seemed like an OK night for it.

As they stood in line, he wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed the top of her head. “By the way,” he murmured in her ear. “These jeans make your ass look even more amazing than normal. I’m really glad I took you shopping today.”

She giggled and squirmed her ass against his front.

“Naughty girl, teasing me like that. I know there’s a broom closet around here I can fuck you in,” he warned, as if the threat of fucking her would somehow deter her.

At the bar, he ordered them both shots of top shelf tequila and margaritas.

  “Bottoms up, Doll.”

She knocked back the tequila as if she’d had years of practice. Meanwhile, Garrett just barely managed to get the smooth liquid down without sputtering. He bit the lime and tossed it into the glass.

“Sip it,” he chided when she gulped her margarita.

  “Don’t be a buzzkill.”

He chuckled. “On the contrary, my dear Isabelle. I’m trying to prolong your buzz. If you get smashed before dinner, you’ll be in bed or hugging a toilet before ten. Drink slower and you’ll have more fun, I promise.”

Her face was already flush from the potent shot and she giggled. “You are so right. I actually think I was smashed before dinner last time. OK. We’ll do it your way. Sipping slowly,” she said raising her glass for a tiny sip.

He leaned in and nuzzled her neck, causing her to shudder before he said, “You should probably just go ahead and get used to doing things my way Doll.” He let his hand trail down her forearm until he reached her wrist where she wore his bracelet to drive his point home.

It worked because she fluttered her eyelashes at him. “With pleasure, Sir.”

  He grinned. “Good girl.”

“Izzy, we’re doing poker again after dinner, you in?”

Garrett turned to see a lanky young man talking to her.

“I don’t know, Alan. I always lose so fast.”

  “Play, Doll. I’ll help you.”

She giggled. “I don’t know if you’re allowed to help me.”

Alan shrugged, “Everyone will be drunk anyway. I doubt they’ll object and if they do, they won’t remember it in the morning.”

“Count us in then, Alan,” Garrett said, patting the boy’s shoulder.

Alan shifted uncomfortably and looked around the room then leaned in and whispered something to Isabelle who grinned and nodded. “Yep, that’s him,” she said.

Alan’s hand shot out and Garrett took it, trying to keep the surprise off his face as the kid vigorously shook his hand. “Thank you so much, Mr. Oliver, for the scholarship. You don’t know how much that meant to me.”

Garrett grinned. So, this was the Alan who had worked at his facility.

“I’m always happy to help someone get an excellent education, Alan. Think nothing of it. According to your cousin, there’s no one who deserves it more than you.”

Alan beamed and bounded off, hollering someone else’s
name as he went. Garrett wasn’t sure he’d encountered a louder group of people.

Isabelle gripped his hand and dragged him to a table where some of the cousins her age had set up camp.

The group boisterously greeted them and made room for them. Dinner was being set up buffet style along one wall and people were milling about while they waited for it to be served. He noticed a dozen or more young children on the dance floor playing and running around.

The younger cousins, Isabelle’s nieces age range had also grouped up and were playing board games at another group of tables and a group of elderly relatives seemed to have a game of spades or something of the sort going on in another corner.

“You look a little overwhelmed,” Isabelle said as she sipped her margarita.

He chuckled. “I suppose I am a bit out of my element and perhaps somewhat intimidated by the sheer size of this gathering.”

“You rub shoulders with the most famous politicians in the country. You were just at a party with two dozen celebrities where you got casually invited to throw something on the grill at the governor’s mansion.” What could possibly be intimidating about this?”

Laughter shook him at her look of incredulity. “Well, when you put it like that it really does sound ridiculous. In those environments I have a canned response for just about any situation that might arise. I know exactly how I’m supposed to act, who I need to shake hands with and what information I need to gather to consider the outing a success. Here there seems to be no mission.”

She giggled. “Right now, I think your mission is to stop being so serious and maybe get me another drink. I have a feeling I’m going to finish this one soon.”

She was cute when she was tipsy. He slid her his mostly untouched margarita. “If you’re not going to go slow. I will. Someone has to take care of you later.”

By the time dinner was served, she’d nearly finished his margarita as well. “Will you get me another one now?” she asked.

He shook his head and fixed her with his dominant glare when she gave him a pout. Grasping her wrist, he tugged her into his lap, and she draped her arms around his neck.

“You’re cute,” she said, pressing her forehead to his.
