  Inner Changes, An Unexpected Crisis!

  The Ancient Dragon Battlefield,

Within an Unknown Region, Battle Zone Unknown.

The sky was blanketed by a sea of dark looming clouds that reached as far as one’s eyes could see, the rumbling sounds of thunder echoed throughout the vicinity while a harsh rain fell upon these gloomy lands. Droplets repeatedly falling on top of broken constructions, old rusted weapons, along with corpses and skeletons that have been dead for many years. These corpses were strange as most them were of a structure that was non-human, some of them were as big as hills while the smallest could be as small as a regular-sized human being.

A bleak forest surrounded this area, with tall dark grass bigger than fully grown men and dead trees that had trunks the size of large ancient buildings.

Step-step-step! The sound of rapid footsteps could be heard within this bleak rainy forest, as the figure of a handsome young man soon appeared; the young man had long red hair and wore bright red robes with a dark gold vest and sleeves, a pair of two sharp swords were sheathed on his back. However, despite his high-quality clothing, his current appearance was distressed, his face was slightly pale while mud could be seen plastered all over his clothing and face.

“Cough! Just my rotten luck, how could I have forgotten?” said Feng Yu as wiped he blood from the corner of his mouth while running at full speed, his figure continued to run like an ordinary exhausted mortal for some unknown reason. He looked back and cursed to himself once more as he saw many of the tall bushes swaying violently. “I have always had terrible luck when it comes to Mystic Realms…”

“Capture it!” A rough coarse sounding voice said as a big hand wielding an axe the size of three Feng Yu’s opened a path in the strange grass that was trying to resist being cut. As if they were waiting for that chance, the figures struggling to exit the grass rushed over to the open pathway and charged towards the now distant Feng Yu.

Sou! Sou! Sou! These humanoid creatures turned into blurs as they rapidly continued their hot pursuit, the look in their eyes were that of greed as if they had found the world’s most precious treasure.

“Human, where do you think you’re going?”

  “Halt this instant!”

The creatures shouted in an excited manner as they continued their pursuit, the big hand that wielded the axe promptly receded as a massive dark shade slowly made an appearance. Its two big eyes glowing in a brutal, fiendish light as it spoke, “Hmph! Outsider, you will not be able to escape even with wings…”

Crack! As it said this, it then leaned its body forward pressing its foot hard against the rough ground causing the earth to form a spiderweb of fissures beneath its feet.

Swoosh! His large dark figure then launched towards the distance, soaring into the sky, turning into a series of blurs that vanished across the tall trees and shrubberies…

Turning back time to roughly one day ago…

Phew! A ray of black-white light beamed towards a point of distant light within a multi-coloured channel of energies, colourful cracks were at various locations of this multi-coloured channel, but each gave off an aura of certain demise.

Inside of the soaring beam of light, was a group of red-haired and non-red-haired people, standing at various locations of a wide and spacious semi-transparent black and white spheroid. A young handsome man with a large scar on the left side of his face stood at the edge of the spheroid as he glanced around at the multi-coloured channel and cracks with his brows furrowed.

“The space channel is growing unstable, it seems that not being used in such a long time, this world is started to deteriorate. Life is fleeting, all things will eventually come to an end…” said Feng Junling as he sighed slightly.

On the other side of the spheroid four youths were engaging in conversation. A silver white-haired robust looking young man, a young woman who was the living embodiment of all things jade-like, a blue-haired handsome young man who wore a black conical hat and a red-haired young man who shouldered two swords on his back.

“Dai Lin, is what you said true? I was actually engulfed in such a terrifying thunder tribulation and still came out uninjured?” Feng Yu asked in a puzzled tone, for he had absolutely no idea how he could have survived and benefited from such an unusual occurrence.

“Yes, Young Master this tribulation of yours was also seen by everyone including your father and uncle. So, I think its best you ask them for the details as they may know more about it than we do.” Said Dai Lin, whose body now gave off a strange presence. Carefully looking, one would see small amounts of colourful electrical lights streaking about his blue hair and within his dark eyes.

Pat! With a harsh and heavy hand, Lang Kuang patted Feng Yu’s shoulder harshly as he spoke in an excited manner, “Haha! Young Master Yu needs not be so worried, I Lang Kuang has never witnessed such an incredible scene. It was a godlike transformation! Once I have completed the tribe’s ‘Ancestral Awakening,’ I want to challenge the Young Master to a duel.”

Miren Fei who was by the side giggled as she mocked Lang Kuang, “Wolfman, you’re too much of a brute. Keep this up and you won’t find any wives in the future.”

Hearing this Lang Kuang smiled in an ambiguous manner and spoke, “Heh, brutes aren’t always down on luck. If Miren wants my Lang will gladly show you how ‘brutish’ we of the Lang Tribe can truly get…”

As she heard his words, Miren Fei snorted and pay him no further attention moving her vision to Feng Yu, her eyes glowed radiantly as she spoke, “Young Master, Fei’er thinks that you should try to see if your ‘Sea of Thoughts’ has had any unusual changes since you’ve already inspected your body.”

While rubbing his now sore shoulder caused by Lang Kuang’s pat, Feng Yu’s eyes lit up as he heard Miren Fei’s suggestion. He looked at her and spoke, “Ah? How could I forget this? It seems I was too preoccupied with the chaotic situation I had forgotten to inspect it, thanks for reminding me Fei’er.”

Feng Yu sat cross-legged on the ground sending his thoughts into his sea of consciousness. The misty world appeared before his eyes once again, many times wider than it was previously. A black spheroid was located at the centre of this space with 10 golden circle around it, the tenth circle was more than halfway completed and didn’t shine as brightly as the other circles.

“Well, my talent has grown a bit, its approaching full completion. I wonder, when will it truly be completed and wha
t will happen when that day comes.” Feng Yu said with curiosity welling up in his heart, he then looked around the misty space and saw that the hovering ‘Sword Seed’ that was now 10 inches and the hovering sword manual that had lost its sword energies.

“Hmm, it seems I’ll need to spend some time comprehending ‘The Intent of the Sword’ during this Mystic Realm’s Trials, as my ‘Sword Seed’ won’t be able to advance otherwise.” Feng Yu thought as he observed the sword seed.

He then looked at his sword manual and pondered, “My sword manual has also lost its luster, I’ve graduated from the Sword Foundation Stage. I’ll need to create more advanced sword moves in alignment with the three paths of the extremity way, so far I have only altered my original techniques and merged them into my own unique ‘Dual Extremity Sword Path.’ If I can find some more sword techniques, I will be able to break them down and use the essence to further advance my own sword path.”

As Feng Yu finished this line of thought, he looked towards another section of his sea of consciousness, there was a sea of raging flames carrying a sacred aura contesting with a sea of colourful thunder each carrying a supreme might. The flames and thunder energies each blanketed half of the region they occupied as they assumed the manner of absolute nemeses.

Feng Yu could feel a familiar ancient will coming from the sea of sacred fire, but upon looking at the sea of colourful thunder, an unknown feeling soon shrouded his mind. He felt but a familiar yet unfamiliar presence within this storm of colourful thunder.

“What on earth is this thunder? Capable of competing with my Sacred Phoenix Flames, I have never seen thunder like this before, the old master had never used thunder of this kind,” thought Feng Yu as he observed it carefully.

Carefully observing the sea of colourful thunder for a while, a will that seemed to have transcended all things spoke directly to his soul, the name of the thunder was put into his mind. “Supreme Divine Thunder!”

As he said this, the sea of raging thunder instantly expanded blanketing his vision. Within moments, he was brought to a space filled with multi-coloured divine lightning. Inside of this space was an unusual looking box, carved on top of this box was ancient all-powerful text that radiated supreme domineering might.

Feng Yu seeing this box was shocked as he spoke the words. “The Legacy of Supreme Divine Thunder… What on earth is this?” However, before he could finish his thoughts a voice sounded within this world.

“You... are not ready, leave!” As the voice said this, a terrifying power erupted from the box, soon after causing a rush of thunder to cover Feng Yu’s soul.

Swoosh! Within moments, Feng Yu was jolted to awake from his inner consciousness as a small group of multi-coloured lightning snaked around his body. The lightning streaked around his form violently as it touched the glowing transference token that was still within his hand.

“Cough! Haa…haa… What, what was that?” Asked Feng Yu who coughed out a mouthful of blood while panting for breath, as he wiped the blood from the corner of his lips, beads of sweat trickled down his forehead.

“Young Master! What’s wrong?!” Miren Fei exclaimed upon she saw Feng Yu coughing up blood so she rushed over hurriedly and helped him wipe his sweat.

“Eh? What’s wrong!” Lang Kuang who was distracted by colourful channel said as he walked over, Dai Lin also stood up and went over.

“It’s nothing, I just---" as Feng Yu was about to explain his circumstances a change suddenly occurred. The token that was now shrouded by coloured lightning had unusual change…

Phew! A bright light shone from the token as a voice could be heard in Feng Yu’s mind once more.

  “Transference protocol activated...” voice prompt.

“Transference protocol- Trans- Trans- Trans…” voice prompt.

Hearing this Feng Yu shouted in a manner unbecoming of a protagonist, excuse me, I meant practitioner, “Mother F--cker!”

The Feng Clan members seeing the change became alarmed, as Feng Junling quickly reacted rushing towards Feng Yu. Feng Yunlong and Feng Xingyu were also shocked by the change and promptly acted to rescue.

“Damn! Yu’er let go of the token now!” as Feng Junling said this, he pushed all of his strength into rushing towards Feng Yu, but sadly, the token did not wait.

Rip! A black hole appeared within the spheroid that instantly engulfed the forms of Feng Yu, Dai Lin, Miren Fei and Lang Kuang and then disappearing.

Pat! Pat… As soon as the black hole disappeared, the token then fell onto the floor of the black and white spheroid as the thunder energy that overloaded its system had now been exhausted.

Bang! “Damnit!” Feng Yunlong roared as he slammed the ground harshly with his fist, creating a ripple in the already unstable spheroid.

“Yunlong, calm down!” said Feng Junling who also looked worried, however, he soon regained his calm and spoke to him again, “That black hole was an instant transportation method, it would seem that Yu’er must have done something to cause the token to overload. Therefore, we can at least guarantee that he wasn’t destroyed, now all we need to do is simply send a team to search for his whereabouts when we arrive at the Inner Regions.”

As he heard this, the angry Feng Yunlong gritted his teeth as he asked, “But, Junling, you know the rumors of this Ancient Dragon Battlefield. There are untold dangers lurking here, what if he was transmitted to region separate from the Interior Region?”

Hearing this Feng Junling frowned for a moment before he looked towards the nearing light in the distance, he then smiled and responded with a tone of confidence, “I don’t believe he will die even if he were to be thrown in the depths of hell. In fact, I believe that he’d use hell’s fire to experience ‘Nirvanic Rebirth…’”

A deep look came into the eyes of Feng Yunlong and Feng Xingyu as they heard this, they then looked toward the approaching white light as their spheroid beamed forwards, soon after vanishing into the light.

  ∞ ∞ ∞

Inside of a gloomy dark forest, filled with ancient constructions, a harsh rain fell emphasizing the bleakness of the desolate land.

A group of humanoid creatures could be seen parading around an altar where a large dark figure stood chanting word in an obscure tongue. These creatures were tall and slender, each having dark coarse skin with bright red eyes and long fingernails that gleamed with a sharp light.

Ghoulfiends, a lower-class fiend race that has weak attack capabilities but despite their weakness in strength, they make up for it with unparalleled speed and killing instinct. The massive dark shade was middle-class fiend race Orckusfiend, born for battle with immense strength and combat capabilities, its nature is naturally brutal with a hint of cunning.

As the ritual was continuing, there was a sudden change.

Phew! A beam of black light shot from the sky as it crashed into the dark forest.

Boom! Following a loud explosion, a dust cloud arose within this forest as the rain continued to fall.

A wave of anger came across the Orckusfiend’s face as it did not like being interrupted during its ritual, it rallied the group of Ghoulfiends and marched towards the area where the noise came from, within a few moments they arrived at the region of the dust clouds that were now clearing.

A voice could be heard coming from inside of the dust cloud, “Damn! Are you kidding me? Not only did I get transported away but my essence channels are jammed by this damn thunder’s backlash! What the hell am I going to do now?!”

By the time he had finished speaking, the dust cloud had vanished, revealing a handsome looking young man whose face and clothing was covered in mud looking incredibly distressed. The Orckusfiend seeing the features of this young man became excited, as its eyes glowed brilliantly.

It roared towards the sky and commanded its subordinated, “A human! Capture it quickly!” As it said this, the eyes of the Ghoulfiends glowed in brilliant red light as they rushed forwards wasting no time.

Feng Yu seeing this was shocke
d as he gauged their energies, “Shit, this is not good! I have to get out of here now!”

Swish! His figure vanished as he forcefully utilized the small amounts of essence power to escape the creatures, soon after vanishing into the depths of the gloomy forest.

The Gloomy Forest, Endless Rain Zone

Chaaaaaaa! The rain began to fall violently as this merciless pursuit continued. Like an agile monkey, a red-haired young man bolted through the wild terrain moving between never-ending forests of massive dead trees. Every time he moved, he would press one foot against the ground soon after leaping over the unusual tall grasses, adeptly gliding between the large dead trees. As he glided like a leaf, he would then use his other foot to skillfully balance on top of the nearby slippery branches as a foothold to plunge further and further into the depths of the forestry.

A stunning display of skill, maneuvering with the human's body capability achieving its utmost limits. Sadly, he was not alone…

Sou! Sou! Sou! A group of tall slender humanoid creatures with dark coarse skin swiftly and skillfully made their way between the surrounding trees, struggling their way through resisting shrubberies as they tried their best to outflank the red-haired young man.

“Well done, do not let it get away! Branch out and surround it!” A rough voice said.

Whoosh! Following the loud sound of something soaring through the air, a massive dark silhouette made an abrupt appearance falling onto the wet ground.

Boom! The earth was blown to pieces as a massive crater spreading out for dozens of meters had formed, the shockwave from this sudden explosion blew away all nearby rocks which crushed the tall grasses and trees within the vicinity. The harsh rain that continuously fell soon began to fill up the massive crater.
