“Stop them!!!” A loud roar came from his being, as he tried to move forwards but stumbled coughing out a mouthful of dark blue blood. The elders and fiends hearing this became stunned as the elders promptly reacted by rushing forward to the huddles group of fairies and prisoners while commanding.

“You heard the supreme elder kill them now!” The elder roared, the fiends hearing the commands also responded by warming towards the group while yelling, “Kill-!”

However, as this happened there was a change, a bright blue light soon began to fill area covering all things within sight. Soon, the blue light receded to form a large barrier dome around Feng Yu and the allied army. Myria could now be noticed manipulating a small pearl that revolved within her hands like a planet.

“What that pearl, looks so familiar...” The elder squinted his eyes as he noticed the sudden strange scene but before he could figure out what was going on the voice of Myria soon resounded to all.

“The legacy of my clan has now once more fallen back to its rightful place, be wary for the next time we appear as it will be your last!”

A series of extremely arrogant words in their current positions, but the fiends did not stop their charge reaching closer and closer to the group in the barrier.

Soon though, the elder who was puzzled the entire time about the pearl became stunned as his eyes went wide, he opened his mouth as wide as also yelled, “STOP THEM NOWWWW!!”

A pity, however, for it was too late...

Piiiiiiiiiii! The barrier contracted and condensed into a small blue drop of water that carried the fairies and natives into the heavens vanishing the very moment it touched the sky as if it was teleportation.

“What! What the hell just happened! How could they use Aqua Transference?” One of the elders who wasn’t paying attention asked, the guards also had a similar line of thought. However, the leading elder looked up towards the heavens with a gaze filled with rage and despair as he roared, “Noooooooo!”

His voice traveling across the distant mountains, echoing across the far lands despite the ever so falling rain...

Flowers that Blossom in the Rain

The mountainous forests were peaceful with a calming kind of allure, if one overlooked the ever-pouring rain they would find a quiet region with verdant fields and lush shrubberies that grew to man-like heights. Vast arrays of hills and mountains spread out for as far as one could see, as only the clouds with their unending rain gave life to these still lands.

Deep within these forests at a section surrounded by large hills with bushes as tall as any man, a large group of members belonging to a myriad of races were currently marching through these lands at a brisk pace.

There movements startled all of the nearby forest life causing them to scamper about the area, as they moved, they would carefully cover their tracks while cautiously making their way towards the unknown depths of these parts of the Endless Rain Zone.

A group of powerful looking natives belonging to different races led the way as the others followed behind before these powerful natives were two beings. One was a muscular Dwarfin who hoisted a large hammer on his back that rippled each time a drop of rain fell on top of its surface.

While the other, was a beautiful looking Fairy with bright big blue eyes and long hair, she had a marking of a crown on her forehead that gave off a noble prestige and had golden cicada-like wings that protruded from the back of her strange water like skin armor that hinted to what was underneath its covering.

As they marched ahead of the group, they would bicker back and forth about many things, while conversing about their current objectives.

“If it wasn’t for your Queen’s enticement, would my Dwarfin clan had become a part of the revolt back then? It's your races fault for making us fall along with your kind...” Zyne said with a look of hatred in his eyes.

“Nonsense, my mother had no part in this! You should know how ‘that’ race works. Their means are more profound than those of these silly fiends which we already have enough trouble dealing with. They must have used illusion mystics or strange Shadow Dao Scriptures...” Myria said with a dark look on face.

“Hmph! I don’t believe you but seeing as I have no choice but to follow you guys for now. I will hear your side of the story out only this once!” Zyne said in an upset but slightly pensive tone.

“You will find your answers when we reach our new abode, most of the survivors of your clan who suffer the punishment are still there... even your son...” As the fairy princess was about to mention Zyne’s son, he snapped.

“Enough! You need not speak about him....” Zyne immediately cut off her statement, as a desolate look came over his eyes.

The fairy princess seeing this remained silent, “...”

After a while of silence, Zyne once more spoke, “Is the Queen faring well?”

Myria hearing this looked towards the depths of the forest as if her eyes could travel across the vast trees and hills towards a faraway place, there she saw a familiar looking figure with long blue hair who carried a sickly appearance.

“She is fine......” As she said this, her voice faded away with the rising wind that rustled shrubberies of the environment. The wind continued to blow farther away from these two towards another two individuals who walked a little distance away from the group.

A handsome long red-haired youth who wore beautiful scarlet robes with large dark golden sleeves and a vest was walking behind them he carried another peerless beauty on his back with sickly pale white skin that had beads of sweat trickling down its surface.

She had narrow silver eyes that were knitted slightly but continued to sparkle with divine wisdom; her long white hair dancing behind her back as her white dress and its long white sleeves swayed gently in the wind, her slender arms wrapped around the red-haired youth’s back.

A small beauty mark was positioned at the corner of her lips which rose into a smile despite her currently sickly condition.

As Feng Yu felt the hands that grew tighter and tighter around his waist along with the slender but full body that pressed on his back, his breathing couldn’t help but change as his heartbeat accelerated to levels unthinkable for a practitioner with his bloodline. He couldn’t help but enjoy the feeling, but the very moment this happened, the figure of the golden-haired beauty that he fought along with the scene of the battling jade haired beauty during the talent selections flickered in his mind causing him to feel a bit of uncertainty in his heart.

Feeling Feng Yu’s change Jing Mingyun couldn’t help but smile wider as she teased, she placed her lips on the back of his neck and blew a gently warm breath.

“Are... are you feeling better now?” Feng Yu asked in an attempt to change the mood as he sensed the breath on his neck, his face slightly heated up.

“Hmm... first my family went... now, all of my source is gone, my strength has faded, and all I have left is, the back I can only cling desperately on...” Jing Mingyun said in a sad tone, her eyes slightly watery yet no matter how tempting no tears were able to fall.

Feng Yu hearing her words felt slightly uneasy, he spoke to give counsel, “Don’t worry we have the Aqua Pearl it should be able to help right?”

Jing Mingyun hearing this replied sadly, “It should have, but that was only when I had my source, now that it is gone... I can only start again from the beginning. I no longer know if it is a good or bad thing, or what kind of transformation will occur if I absorb its strength... like you, I can no longer sense my destiny...”

As she spoke to him, her mind wandered off as if it was about to travel towards some unknown dark place. But soon, a voice quickly pulled her away from this state...

“Hey...” Feng Yu said, Jing Mingyun hearing this once more reawakened and focused her attention.

Thinking for a bit, Feng Yu then spoke once again, “So what if you no longer know your own path, you’ll just have to live your life without it. It’s not wh
at you know that gets your where you are, but rather, what you do. After all...”

As Feng Yu spoke to here, he turned his head and looked at Jing Mingyun’s beautiful silver eyes that dully looked at him, his figure super imposing with the green haired middle-aged man who gently lifted Jing Mingyun up at early childhood to speak.

“Destiny is what you make it...” Both Feng Yu and the figure said, their voices melding deeply within Jing Mingyun’s soul as she looked deeply within Feng Yu’s eyes in a layer of delusion, while her silver eyes now sparkling in a bright light filled with enlightenment.

“Destiny... is what... I... make it...” She murmured while not realizing it herself, but her soul had undergone a subliminal change, she now looked towards Feng Yu’s face with a look never shown better before, the look of a woman who had unconsciously fallen for a man.

Feng Yu seeing her current state felt a jolt through his being, no matter how many thoughts he had, or how many layers of resistance he could put up, it was futile. Simply being a man of the opposite sex rendered him unable to look away from the beauty before him.

Unconsciously, he moved his head towards the beautiful sight, the two seemed to have had the same reaction as Jing Mingyun responded by closing her eyes.

Soon, their lips gently connected creating a merger that seemed to have been destined. The succulent and sweet taste within Feng Yu’s mouth caused him also to undergo a strange change, one that he had never experienced in his two lives, their hairs started to wrap around each other as if trying to build a space solely for the two of them.

The scene around them also began to change, as the harsh winds grew gentler, the rain fell softly, and flowers started to blossom for miles around, filling the desolate land with a colorful scene, as the mysterious and ever so wondrous atmosphere of romance came into being...

The marching group who weren’t previously paying attention to two who noticed the scene became stunned, as Zyne and the Myria exclaimed with surprise, “This is... the Phenomena of Blossoming Roses... how could this be possible? Isn’t this a legend of the ancient romantics?”

Zyne and Myria looked at each other with an in-depth look of surprise on their faces, as they even momentarily forgot their feuds. The scene continued to grow more romantic, but before it could go any further there was a change...

Bang! As if it was thunder descending from the sky, a green beam descended at unparalleled speeds smashing the ground generating a shockwave that rather than to damage was to pull both Feng Yu and Jing Mingyun out of the current scene.

“Humph! I gave you aid from my old legacy, but that doesn’t mean I’ll so easily hand over my daughter... though, I did pass her over to a random woman... humph! As long as my spiritual consciousness continues to linger here give up any idea of proceeding...” A voice filled with anger said.

The natives and along with Zyne and Myria who heard this voice duck with fear, as they glanced towards the heavens knowing full well who it belonged to the voice then spoke once again but this time only the natives could hear, “You better keep silent about this... or else...”

“Yes, yes, we understand!” Zyne, Myria and the others replied in unison like well-trained soldiers.

“Good! It seems you’ve all grown slightly from that year’s punishment, very well, if this brat can lead you to suppress all sides. Then, the punishment realm shall end, and you shall be free...” The voice said, as it then faded away causing the world returned to normal.

Feng Yu who had now gotten back to his senses seemed to have not heard the voice of the heavens he looked at the red face of Jing Mingyun who was looking at him with shock. Jing Mingyun quickly hid herself behind his back while FengYu also quickly turned around, their hearts beating rapidly in sync.

The atmosphere became awkward as they didn’t speak for a while, Zyne seeing this decided to pick things up.

“What are you two love birds doing we don’t have time to waste here let’s get moving?” Zyne said as he looked towards Myria who once more commanded, “Let’s go back to marching, we are still a good few weeks away from our Fairy Hideout...”

“Yes,” The natives responded as they quickly continued their march. However, Feng Yu and Jing Mingyun only realized that an entire army was watching them.

Feng Yu once more gripped her slender legs and continued to walk forwards, his face slightly red as he spoke, “Are you angry?”

Jing Mingyun who had her head pressed down in his back took a whiff of his scent before she spoke, “Do you remember your words back at the palace?”

Feng Yu felt a feeling of Goosebumps rise under his skin as he took a deep breath pausing for a moment as he closed his eyes, he then once more reopened them and spoke, “Yes, I remember...”

“My dragon race has traditions, originally, I may not have spoken this to you, but now that you have defiled my lips... it can no longer be avoided. From this point on, you are mine, and must marry into the dragon race...” Jing Mingyun said in a firm but playful tone.

“Marry into the dragon race!... Marry into the dragon race...” Her words echoing like thunder to Feng Yu’s ears as he played over the scene with Fu Ling in his mind almost as if it was a staged re-enactment.

Feng Yu hearing this, sighed as he spoke under his voice, “Sigh... I touched one girl and was forced into an agreement, kiss another, and now I’m trapped with another agreement. This must be a trait of my previous bodies owner maybe it has melded with my own soul, I hope there won’t be a next...”

“Another? What’s this do you have another Dao Partner?” Jing Mingyun vaguely hearing his words frowned as she asked.

Gulp! Feng Yu swallowed his spit as he paused for a moment, he then decided to speak directly, “I... I have an agreement with another...”

“What’s this agreement about?” Jing Mingyun now asked in a strangely calm tone.

“Well, it’s like this, we have to fight a death battle to determine whether or not I will be freed from the agreement...” Feng Yu said vaguely.

“Do you like this woman?” Jing Mingyun asked as she looked into Feng Yu’s eyes, her pure sparkling eyes gleaming with a strange light.

Feng Yu seeing this stare, couldn’t help but sigh as he lifted his head thinking back to the first time, he mistook her for a goddess, groped her chest and then struggled to overcome her might, the excited look on her face during the battle that slightly uplifted his soul.

After a while of thought, he responded, “I’m not sure...”

Jing Mingyun seeing his expression paused for a bit before responding in a firm and competitive tone different from her divine like speech, “Hmph! Once a Dragon’s Partner is determined it cannot be changed, there can be only one main wife as all others must be concubines. I look forward to seeing this woman of yours...”

The pride of her dragon heritage rooted firmly in her core, as if someone at early childhood drilled it into her soul. Feng Yu seeing this sighed as he thought to himself while looking towards vast depths of the forests, “It seems my road to the peak, just got broader...”

  Chapter 112

A Dreadful Alliance! Level 1 Hunting Command!

The scene at the Dark Palace could only be described as a disaster. Broken walls and pillars were collapsed over each other, as rubble scattered about the once beautiful palace grounds.

While a lot of the buildings and structures were durable enough to resist energies of the fiends and the natives, a few others had terrible luck as they were previously bombarded by the stray energies from the half-step true soul realm battles. A truly devastating result, as not only did this battle cost them their aqua barrier, it even cost them many lives and most importantly... the Aqua Pearl or to the fairies, the Life Source Orb.

Within the ruined central field, a group of individuals could be seen standing together silently. They gazed at each other with solemn expressions on their faces as if they couldn’t find the right words needed to explain this situation.

&n
bsp; A stifling silence filled the area as they waited for their fates to be decided when Kefalas returns to the palace.

The hidden fiend unit Supreme Elder who was injured by Jing Mingyun’s all-out source attack was currently seated into cross-legged position gathering his fiendish energies to recover his severe wounds.

Suddenly, the supreme elder opened his eyes and gazed towards the sky at a specific location within the distance. Soon, two beams of light could be seen streaking across the range as they soared towards the Dark Palace, behind them were a group of water-winged females that also flew quickly but at a slower pace compared to the two lights.

Upon arriving above the palace, these two lights then exploded as a terrifying pressure spread out across the palace. The energies of two true soul realm fiends overpowering all who stood below their might.

  Swish! Swish!

Not wasting any time, they descended into the central palace grounds landing gracefully onto the ruined floor sweeping their visions across the fiend elders who held their heads down in embarrassment.

“What happened here?” Kefalas asked in an oddly calm tone, different from what one would expect from the firm Head of Palace Command.

“Sir... we... we were attacked by the fairy army and suffered disastrous casualties.” one of the elders replied promptly while stuttering.

“What nonsense are you saying, how can the fairies possibly cause so much damage? Isn’t this why the Dark Supreme Elder is here?” Kefalas asked in confusion as he tried to quell his rising anger.

The Dark Supreme Elder who had now mostly restored his injuries lifted his hand stopping the speaking elder as he explained the situation, “It would seem that the human who caused the upstart in the woods, was craftier than we first anticipated. He infiltrated the palace as a new fiend palace guard and staged a prison break, causing both the forces of the prisoners and fairies to cause many deaths among our ranks. While I was guarding the Aqua Pearl, this human even had the guts to come and steal the Aqua Pearl...”
