If you're reading this after September 2021, there is already a book out in another series filled with romance, intrigue, and a touch of mystery to hold you over!
Click here to pre-order my next release, BIGSHOT: A Billionaire Ex-Navy Seal Romance, or on find it on my website under the Take A Shot Series tab under Books. It will be available in ebook and paperback format.
Here's the blurb:
I needed a night out to forget my troubles after I got fired. I never would've hooked up with a stranger if I'd known he'd be my billionaire boss two days later.
The worst part is that he doesn't remember my name...or face, apparently. I'm just a girl who wanted a drama-free gig grabbing coffee for the big shot CEO.
Right when I thought it couldn't rain any harder on my parade, a tall, sleek supermodel waltzed into the office with a tiny iceberg on her left hand, talking about wedding plans with Mr. Bigshot.
Honestly, I don't ask for much. I just needed a job to pay the bills, support my wine habit and my little green pet, Speckles.
The next few weeks drag me through a fight for survival after a masked man breaks into my apartment and tries to kill me. I wasn't that girl who grew up craving excitement. My dreams have always been simple- become a children's book illustrator, and live happily ever after with a nice guy, preferably with a steady job.
Getting mixed up with billionaires, supermodels, assassins, and government secrets labeled CLASSIFIED wasn't in my five year plan.
I can't tell you how, but I can assure you this is a no-cheating HEA ending story.

About Author & Social Links
Mj Hendrix is addicted to cheap wine and books with happy endings.
She loves when a strong, sexy hero is brought to his knees by an independent woman he never saw coming.
Mj began crafting love stories when they kept crawling out of her head, needing an eternal place of rest. She does her best writing while sipping on a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and listening to Christ Stapleton.
There's a rumor that she read so many hours a day as a child that her parents would have to ground her from her books. As an adult, her reading time is only hindered by writing and her two mini humans.
She resides with her family in a big white house in Texas.
You can keep up with Mj and her writing/publishing journey through social media.
She's most active on TikTok and Instagram.

Acknowledgments
If I could choose only one person to mention here, it would have to be my husband. Without his constant reassurance and encouragement, this story would never have been finished. When I decided to write a book, he was the first one to deflect every negative feeling and inclining of self doubt that plagued my mind. It was a big job, almost as big as writing the book itself.
Thank you for your love, your listening ear, even your attempt at helping me brainstorm (which was really just me rambling until I worked it out). Thank you for letting me sneak away to type words on a page in solitude for so many hours. Thank you for listening to me rant and whine about how hard it was and how no one would ever read it, never failing to respond with a, 'you're going to be succeed, I know you are'. I love you to the ends of the earth and back again for all you have done to be my behind-the-scenes pit crew. I love you most.
Next up is my sister, AKA my eternal hype man. She was always my first call when my anxiety began to take over and dominate my confidence. She was the one to say, 'you'll never succeed if you never try'. She was the one to combat the voices trying to bring me down, inside and out of my head. She wasn't only a supporter, she was a fearless defender of my dreams, never once doubting my ability.
Thank you, sis. I never would have had the guts to hit 'publish' without your Theodore Roosevelt quotes and bad review comedy skits. Your belief and insistence that I can't please everyone but that doesn't mean my voice shouldn't be heard, was a key aspect of my determination to continue fighting for this dream. Of all the voices, some good and some bad, your voice was the loudest. Your voice propelled me forward to become not only a writer—but a published author. I love you five.
When I began this writing journey I quickly realized that those in my life that loved me and had good intentions would not be enough to see me through to my success. I needed other writers to come alongside me and tell me the hard things that needed improvement, ultimately making my book the best version of itself that it could be.
Jenn and Lisa, that was y'all. Your critiques, alpha-beta-developmental reading was the ultimate kick start for me. You are both incredible writers yourselves. Working with you to pull each other through the slow parts, the parts that felt like my feet were suctioned in a pit of mud, was not only enjoyable but also critical for my book to be ready for the eyes of my readers. Thank you for you the impromptu zoom meetings that always went on longer than expected. Thank you for your time, your honesty, and the motivation you filled me with almost daily. You are more than my writing group now, you are my close friends.
This book would be nothing without my editor, Jovana. Thank you for working with me to whip this book into shape! Your attention to detail is incredible.
