“I’ll be right back. Don’t move!” he said in a hurry and then rushed out the door.

The moment he was gone, I took a deep breath. My legs were shaking a little, and I knew I had to calm myself down.

Holding on to some furniture, I made it to the kitchen where I pulled out a glass and a tray of ice cubes.

I chugged half the glass by the time Jordan returned. He smiled at me and leaned in to steal a kiss.

“I told you not to move,” he scolded playfully.

“I’m sorry but I had to cool off,” I smiled. “What did Sam say?”

“He’s going to book the guy and come back for me when he's done. I have about thirty minutes,” Jordan said, wiggling his eyebrows.

“That isn’t enough time for you to have your way with me,” I teased.

  “Sure it is,” Jordan argued.

He put his hands on my hips and lifted me up onto the counter. I squealed in surprise and put my hands on his shoulders to steady myself. Jordan said nothing as he smiled at me. His hand slid up my thighs and grabbed the elastic of the shorts I was wearing. In one skilled move, he pulled them down past my knees, along with my underwear.

“How did you do that?” I asked with a shiver. The cold tile on the counter gave me goosebumps.

“Magic,” he teased before leaning in to kiss my lips.

I wrapped my arms around his neck as the kiss grew more passionate. His tongue danced with mine and I pulled him closer. Jordan’s hand cupped my tit through my shirt and found my nipple. He lightly pinched the nub before his hand returned to its spot between my legs.

“Ooh,” I cooed as two fingers ran back and forth along my wet folds. “You’re teasing me.”

Jordan smiled before dropping his head to my neck. He planted a few more kisses along my throat. A few seconds later, he dropped to his knees and pulled me by my hips to the edge of the counter.

“Oh god,” I moaned. His tongue ran back along my folds and then pushed in deep.

His other came around and rubbed my thigh. As his tongue continued to lick my pussy, Jordan used two fingers to rub over my clit.

Back and forth, his fingers moved in rhythm to the way he moved his tongue. I tipped my head back, licked my lips and moaned.

“That feels so good,” I muttered with my fingers sliding into his hair. It was then that I realized this sexy man, my sexy man, was in full uniform and eating me out like he was getting paid for it.

It turned me on even more.

After a few minutes of licking my pussy, Jordan pulled his head back and pushed in two fingers. He looked up at me just as I was looking at him. I smiled, but it didn’t last long. My eyes closed, and I moaned again.

  “I’m getting close,” I warned.

Jordan pumped his fingers a few more times before withdrawing them. I moaned at the loss. It was only a split second because his tongue was back on me and my moan grew louder.

I rested my head against the cupboard and took a deep breath. Everything felt heightened, and the pleasure coursed through me as I called out his name, tugging on his hair.

Jordan licked at me a few more times before pulling away and standing up. “You have no idea how sexy you are,” he smiled before moving to give me a kiss. He hesitated a few inches from my face and I reached out to pull him close. Our lips collided, and I moaned once more, loving the taste of myself on his tongue.

The knock at the door pulled us apart, and I smiled at him. “I guess thirty minutes was enough,” I joked.

  Jordan laughed.

  A month later

“Is this okay?” I asked, motioning to the picnic table in front of us.

“This is perfect,” Jordan replied. He moved closer to the table and put down the picnic basket we had packed earlier that morning.

I pulled out the tablecloth and got it spread out before we both unloaded all the food we had packed.

“Before we eat, would you be interested in going for a quick walk near the lake?” Jordan asked.

I looked around and didn’t see anyone around. I looked back at him and gave a shrug. “You’re not worried about someone or an animal taking off with our food?”

Jordan chuckled. “Not really. We won’t be gone long and we don’t have to go far.”

I agreed and reached out for Jordan to take my hand. We walked together down the path that led us right to the lake’s edge. I paused near the water and stared out at the view.

“It’s gorgeous here,” I commented before turning to Jordan. “I know what you will say. Not as gorgeous as me.”

He laughed and gave a little shrug. “Can you blame me for saying it?”

“No,” I giggled with a swing of our hands.

“I’m really glad we could do this. You’ve been working so hard finishing up that project. I didn’t get to see you as much as I wanted,” Jordan said. “And on an unselfish note, you didn’t get to rest or relax much. Maybe we should have gone camping instead of settling on a picnic.”

“Don’t press your luck too much,” I laughed. “I haven’t been camping since I was a little girl.”

“It’s like riding a bike,” Jordan replied. He turned toward me and wrapped his arms around me. I did the same and smiled up at him.

“I have something to ask you,” he said after a few minutes of quiet.

  “Oh?” He piqued my curiosity.

“It’s nothing bad but somewhat major,” he hinted.

“Well,” I laughed. “Are you going to ask me or not?”

He nodded and reached into his pocket. I held my breath, anticipating what he would do. Whatever he pulled out fit in the palm of his hand because all I could see was a fist.

Nerves hit me, and for a second, I worried he would propose. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to marry Jordan, but it felt like it would be rushing things a bit.

He moved his hand, so it was in front of me and then moved it so it was palm side facing to the sky.

“Will you, Natalie,” Jordan asked. My heart was beating out of control. “Move in with me?”

His fingers opened to reveal a house key and I let out a big sigh of relief. It took a moment for everything to sink in and I looked back to his face.

“I hate knowing that someone tried to break into your apartment twice now. It’s a little further away from your work and on the outskirts of town, but it’s more secure and there’s a spare room that you can use for your art,” Jordan added.

“You don’t have to persuade me to move in with you. Of course I will,” I told him, putting a hand on the back of his neck to pull him close for a sweet kiss.

“Really? For a second, you looked worried,” Jordan said after our lips parted.

“I thought you had a ring,” I confessed.

“OH!” he chuckled. “No ring, at least not yet. That will come at some point, but not yet.”

“Good. Now kiss me again,” I said.

He leaned in and kissed me, wrapping an arm around my waist. Jordan lifted me off of my feet for a second and I felt a wave of happiness roll over me. I knew right then that if he did, in fact, ask me to marry him, I would say yes in a heartbeat.
