  Lynn Ames is the best-selling author of The Price of Fame (which was short-listed for the first annual Golden Crown Literary Society award in the category of lesbian romance), The Cost of Commitment, The Value of Valor and The Flip Side of Desire. She is also a contributing author to Infinite Pleasures: An Anthology of Lesbian Erotica, Telltale Kisses, Stolen Moments: Erotic Interludes 2, Romance for Life, and Call of the Dark: Erotic Lesbian Tales of the Supernatural.

  Ms. Ames is a former press secretary to the New York state Senate Minority Leader. For more than half a decade, she was also an award-winning broadcast journalist. These days she is a nationally recognized speaker and public relations professional with a particular expertise in image, crisis communications planning and crisis management.

  Becky Arbogast was born and raised just south of the Mason-Dixon Line. When she was thirty years old, she wandered to Florida and found her true calling when she went to work for Naiad Press. Becky spends much of her time working and reading . . . and any spare moments are spent with her three dogs.   Jean Byrnell: I did go to theater school in New York and I worked in the theater before I married and had four children. Eighteen years ago I met my beautiful partner and knew I needed to spend the rest of my life with her. We now have six grown children between us. We live in a small B.C. town where I write and raise Australian Labradoodles while my partner takes care of everything that breaks.

  Heidi Edwards is a freelance writer from Virginia Beach who has just finished her first erotic romance novel, Firefly. She gave up snowboarding for a living in Colorado to become a Disease Intervention Specialist by day and an erotica writer by night.

  Amie M. Evans is a widely published creative nonfiction and literary erotica writer, experienced workshop provider and a retired burlesque and high-femme drag performer.   Saundra W. Haggerty has wandered around the world trying to find her true calling.   Rae Kimball is a big nerd who enjoys reading, good movies and long, thoughtful pauses. When she is not writing dirty stories for her own amusement she can usually be found taking a nap on the nearest available couch or advising college students at the prestigious southern university where she is employed.   Joy Parks doesn’t change her clothes in subway bathrooms anymore, but she still feels oddly dressed at most lesbian functions. But she still likes women in desert boots, still refuses to submit to the will of the group, and still loves women with the courage to be exactly who—and how—they want to be.

  Wild Nights is the fourth anthology she’s edited for Bella Books (Back to Basics: A Butch/Femme Anthology, Call of the Dark: Erotic Lesbian Tales of the Supernatural and The Perfect Valentine (with Barbara Johnson) are the others).

  She’s written seven books in the Lammy-finalist Brett Higgins Motor City Thrillers series (in order: When the Dancing Stops, When the Dead Speak, When Some Body Disappears, When Evil Changes Face, When Good Girls Go Bad, When the Corpse Lies and When First We Practice (When It’s All Relative is due out in 2007)).

  Tanya Turner often finds herself getting into trouble unexpectedly. She frequently writes about her exploits, but changes names to protect the innocent.   Teresa Wymore: After graduating summa cum laude from the University of South Florida, Teresa lapsed into chronic unemployment, so she mooched free drinks at a local tavern and joined in barroom debates.
