She knew all about this. She’d heard about it for years. It was supposed to be very relaxing and pack affirming.
“Right.”
“I can’t be comfortable if you’re not with me and I’m the Alpha, so what I want is law. Even with me warming you up, you can’t sleep on the ground in Alaska in the middle of winter.”
No, she couldn’t. Not unless she did it in a thermal tent and even then….
“So, I decided this would be our stopping point. Every full moon, we will run until we’re exhausted and then come here to sleep as a pack. You and the other human members will be here waiting for us and then we’ll all sleep together.”
“Um.” Tears clogged her throat, which seemed to be a constant occurrence for her when she was around him. He was so considerate and thoughtful. “You did this for me?”
“We all did. Everyone wanted to.”
She snuggled into his embrace. “I don’t have words. It’s too much.”
“It’s a little thing.” He shrugged as he kissed her hair. “Come on, everyone is starting to pass out now.”
She took his hand and let him lead her to the center of the Delta pack sleeping group. Her mate’s movements were sluggish. He desperately needed to go to bed. She wasn’t sure she could sleep; she experienced too much excitement. But she knew one thing for sure: Lucian was the best Christmas gift she’d ever gotten and if she was ever to meet Madame Eve, she’d give her the biggest hug in the world. The woman had helped her make all of her dreams come true.

As a teenager, Rebecca would hide in her room to read her favorite romance novels when she was supposed to be doing her homework. She hopes, these days, that her parents think it was worth it.
She is the mother of three adorable boys and she is fortunate to be married to her best friend. They live in northern New Jersey and try not to freeze too badly during the winter months.
She is in love with science fiction, fantasy, and the paranormal and try to use all of these elements in her writing. She’s been told she’s a little bloodthirsty so she hopes that when you read her work you'll enjoy the action packed ride that always ends in romance.
