This book, obviously, draws a great deal from ancient Egypt. In addition to many internet sources, I am greatly indebted to GURPS Egypt, by Thomas Kane, for information such as what foods were available to the ancient Egyptians, and quite a bit on naming, which I promptly altered for my own purposes.
