  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

For more than 25 years, Frank Supovitz has been at the helm of some of the world’s most prestigious, widely viewed, and well-attended sports and entertainment events. As the senior vice president of Events for the National Football League (NFL) between 2005 and 2014, he oversaw the meteoric growth of the Super Bowl and the NFL Draft, and American football games in London. Prior to joining the NFL, Frank led the event group for the National Hockey League (NHL) for 13 seasons. Together with the Edmonton Oilers, he developed the first NHL outdoor game in 2003, the forerunner to the highly successful NHL Winter Classic.

Frank founded Fast Traffic Events & Entertainment in 2014, which serves clients including the South Street Seaport in New York City, the Indianapolis 500, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He is the author of three books on event management, including The Sports Event Management and Marketing Playbook. He wrote the monthly column “Ask the Event Doctor” for SportsTravel magazine, and he appeared in a cameo role as himself in Ivan Reitman’s 2014 film Draft Day.
