Haunted by Him- Temptation Page 13

“No, Brooke, I think she is thinking better than she has since the night of the party. She’s done feeling sorry for herself and crying over a man who has made it clear that he doesn't want her,” I tell her.

  “Dad's just confused,” Brooke says.

“He's not confused, Baby Sis. Our parents are divorcing because Dad is in love with Julia,” Aaron spells it out for her. “You are going to have to accept that.”

“I don't know about this,” she says. “Why didn't she ask one of us to go with her?”

“Because she's not alone. She's with Phil. He’s helping mom take care of everything and they’re going to stay a while and uh… enjoy the island.”

“Phil,” Aaron says. “Are you telling me our mom went off with the guy on a divorce, slash, romantic getaway?”

  “Seems so,” I say, smiling.

“Well, goddamn,” Aaron laughs. “Way to go, Mom.”

“What,” Brooke says, looking at the two of us like we’ve lost our minds. “She's off with Dad's friend, Phil, divorcing Dad? And you two are okay with this?”

“I wouldn't call him Dad's friend anymore,” I say. “And yes, we are okay with it. Mom needs to have some fun and think about herself for once.”

  “With Phil,” Brooke says again.

“He's a good guy, Brooke,” Aaron says to her. “Kent had him checked out a long time ago. He's been a big help to us and to Mom, so leave them be.”

“Aaron's right,” I tell her. “I wouldn't have let her go off with some asshole. She said she'll call when she gets settled in.”

“How long is she going to be gone,” Brooke asks.

“A few weeks she said. She wants to wash her hands of the past and take some time to find out who she is now that she's single again.”

“Wow, single Mom,” Brooke laughs in disbelief and we share the sentiment.

  ….

Suddenly, our phones all go off at once and we move to check them.

Brooke's is the first to come through and she laughs.

Now I see what has her so tickled as the image loads on my phone.

Mom and Phil are riding horses on the beach with clear blue water and a bright sky behind them.

“I can't believe it,” Aaron says. “He actually got mom to ride a horse.”

Our phones go off again and Aaron wolf whistles at his.

  “Oh my God,” Brooke squeals.

Mom is in a bareback sexy white form-fitting dress with her hair straightened to make her look twenty years younger.

  “Damn she's hot!”

The final picture is of a sacrifice of mom and Phil in a restaurant having drinks in Punta Callie with her telling us not to worry and that she is having the time of her life.

The three of us breathe a collective sigh of relief seeing mom thriving again.

Finally, the tightening that has been in my chest since the night of the party has lessened just a little bit.

“Well,” I tell them. “Since we're all here, why don't we have dinner? We can’t let Mom have all the fun.”

  “Who's cooking,” Brooke asks.

  “We all will,” Aaron says.

“Okay, cool,” she says and we head to the kitchen.

“Hey,” Aaron says, as he pulls Brooke to the side. “Are we cool?”

“Yeah,” she says. “If you can forgive me for being an idiot that is?”

“I always do,” he teases her.

  “Do you think Allie will?”

“She always does,” he tells her truthfully and Brooke smiles. “But do a lot of groveling. Flowers would definitely help.”

  She laughs.

  “I can do that.”

“She did what,” I ask Aaron again as I pull into Mom's driveway.

I adjust the Bluetooth on my ear because I know I didn't hear him right.

“She took off to the Dominican Republic and she divorced his ass,” he tells me again.

“I can't believe it,” I shriek. “Just like that?”

“Yup,” he says. “I don't know what changed her mind about fighting it, but thank fuck she did.”

“Damn,” I say shocked and he laughs.

  “Are you at your mom's?”

“I just pulled up,” I tell him.

“Okay, I'll let you go,” he says. “I'll see you at home, babe,”

“Mom,” I call for her when I enter her front door.

“In the baby's room, Baby girl,” she calls to me.

“Mom, be careful,” I scold, as I rush to her. “You shouldn't be on ladders when you’re this pregnant.”

“It's just one step,” she laughs.

“Still, I don't like it. What are you trying to do?”

“I need to hang this,” she says, giving me a big dark blue letter J.”

I take it and hang it next to the letter J she already has up.

“So how is little Jay Junior anyway,” I ask her when I'm done.

“He's kicking like crazy,” she laughs and I touch her large belly to feel my little brother kicking her hard.

“He’s strong. I wonder if that's the Moore or the Wade in him. Although, he's not a Moore really.”

“He's a part of you and me, Allie,” my mom says. “That is the important thing. How is everything?”

She and I haven't really talked much. It's hard for me to stop being angry at her and Jay and I hate myself for it.

  “Much better,” I tell her.

“Are you making progress with the wedding planning,” she asks, eager to hear.

“A little, but I'm not really doing any major planning until after my little brother is born, so that way you can help me.”

“You want me to, “she asks and I nod.

“Oh, Allie,” she cries. “Nothing would please me more.”

  “I love you, Mom.”

“I love you, Baby girl,” she tells me. “I'm so sorry. I know I messed up.”

“Yeah, you really did,” I laugh. “But you are my mom and I love you. That won't change ever.”

“Oh, sorry,” Jay says opening the door.

“No, it’s fine,” I tell him when he tries to give us privacy. “I hear congratulations are in order.” He frowns in confusion. “The Dominican Republic.”

“Right,” he nods, looking awkward as hell. I bet if the floor would open up, he'd jump into it.

“What are we talking about,” Mom asks.

“Kathleen, she divorced me,” he says.

  “What?”

“Yeah, that was my reaction,” I tell her.

“It will take about two weeks to be final,” he says.

“That's what your lawyer just called for,” she asks him and he nods.

“Well,” I say. “Now, you can make an honest woman out of my mom.”

“Allie,” Mom scolds me, turning beet red.

“What,” I shrug defiantly at her before I turn back to him. “I'm sure you don't want to live together in sin forever. I mean, not with all this great old fashion love you have for my mom and all.”

“Allison Moore,” she calls me by my full name to let me know I'm close to getting it. I really hope she didn't think I was going to let him leave her holding the bag for his fuck-up. I don’t trust him. He doesn't even look happy about his divorce. He looks like he just… well, like he just lost his wife. Not like a man who’s just been set free to marry the woman he loves.

“No, she's right.” He comes to my rescue.

“Jay, really, you don't have to,” Mom starts but he interrupts her.

“No, Allie is right, Julia. You shouldn't be too hard on her. She's just looking out for you.”

“I'm glad you understand,” I tell him.

“I do,” he says. “And don't you worry. I have every intention of making your mother an honest woman.”

“Good. Well, I'll leave you to it then.” I head for the door and think better of it. “Oh, one more thing, Jay. I get that my mom has equal b
lame in your affair.”

“Allie,” Mom’s tone tells me this is my final warning.

“But if you ever cheat on my mom the way you did with Kathleen. I'll make what Kent did to you look like a cute little love tap.”

I make a fast getaway before my mom comes after me.

“I would expect nothing less, Allie,” I hear him say after me as I go down the stairs and I smile.

  Chapter Fifteen

  Downtown Los Angeles

  Wade Plaza

  Aaron Wade

“Allie Cat,” I call for my baby, walking into her office. “Whoa,” I say when the smell of fresh roses hits my nose. Her head pops out from behind her computer to gauge my reaction at first seeing her office this morning. It’s littered with flower arrangements and I’m not talking about the cheap freeway off-ramp kind. Someone has paid up the ass for all of these. “Is there something you want to tell me?”

“What do you mean,” she asks.

“Are you stepping out on me already?”

“Not funny, Wade,” she says, shaking her head at me. “Considering it’s in our genes to cheat. Well, my genes.”

“Aw, come on, Baby.” I chastise her for bringing that shit up again. She’s been on it since she left her mom’s last night.

“They're from Brooke.” She changes the subject and I have no problems letting her. I’m in a good mood and I don’t want our asshole parents and their bullshit messing it up.

  “All of them?”

“Every single one.” She gives me the cards to read. I look them over and all of them have the same sentiment of her being very sorry for her behavior and asking for forgiveness. “They come on the hour every hour starting when I first arrived to work this morning.”

“Damn, she's going all out,” I say and she shakes her head, unamused. “Well, obviously she's sorry.”

“I know and I've accepted her apology, but they won't stop.”

“I think maybe because she knows she really fucked up. She probably just wants to talk to you.”

“Okay, fine, I'll go over to her place,” she says, grabbing her bag.

“Whoa, right now,” I ask, circling my arms around her waist. “I thought I'd have a little lunch nookie.”

“Aaron,” she says, trying to get out of my grasp. “We've had morning nookie before we left the apartment and then car nookie on the way to work.”

“And it's time for my fix.” I lock her door and pick up her phone.

  “Yes, Allie?”

“Gladys, no interruptions, please,” I say to the receptionist.

  “Yes, Mr. Wade,” she says.

Allie's mouth opens wide in surprised embarrassment and my dick gets hard at the sight of it. I have to refrain from pulling her down on her knees and stuffing it inside that fuckable mouth of hers.

“I can't believe…” she starts, but I cut her off when I stick my tongue down her throat. She moans as I run my hand up her skirt.

“Did you really think I wouldn't be all on you today with these on, Baby,” I ask, running my fingers along the elastic lace of her thigh high jet-black stockings. I find the zipper of her black pencil skirt and slowly unzip it before I drag it off of her. She braces herself on the desk behind her as she steps out of it. Her Louboutin stilettos are making her legs sexy as hell. I sit her on the desk and lift her red blouse over her head. I become painfully hard and in need of release at the sight of her ample breasts encased in her lacy black bra.

“Aaron,” she moans as I suck her hard nipple through the lace. She plunges her fingers into my hair in an effort to pull more of her into my mouth.

“What do you want, Baby,” I ask her.

“I wa… I want your mouth on my…” She stops before she says the word.

  “Say it, Allie.”

  Her face flames red.

“I want your mouth on my… pussy.”

“Turn around,” I tell her, stepping back to give her room. She turns and leans on her desk. Her ass is now bent up exposed to me in the air. I take a moment to lift my shirt over my head and rid myself of my shoes, pants, and underwear. “Take off your panties.” She hooks her fingers in her soaking wet black thong and drags them down her legs. “Mmmmm,” I say as I stick my nose in them to get a whiff of her.

I settle on my knees and spread her legs apart. She yelps in surprise when I lift her up so that her legs are draped over my shoulders, making her look like she's flying like Superman. That yelp turns into a moan when my tongue lands on her engorged clitoris.

“Oh, yes,” she moans, while I have my way with her clit, flicking and sucking it, making it pucker with need. She lowers her head on her desk and bites down on her forearm to stifle her scream as she orgasms.

“Mmmm,” I hmm as her cum drains into my mouth and I get a taste of her. I keep going until she starts to giggle and squirm on top of me.

“It tickles,” she says now that her orgasm is over.

I carefully place her legs back on the floor and help her to steady herself before I get up off my knees. She turns around and sits on her desk. She takes her hand and wipes her stray cum off of my mouth. She catches her breath as I grab hold of her hand and lick it clean.

“Ssssss,” I hiss when she slips down and grabs my painfully hard dick with both her hands.

I grab her hips and plunge myself inside of her, causing her to toss her head back, giving me full view of her tits. I unclasp the front of her bra and her tits spring out. I quickly take one of her nipples in my mouth as I pound into her.

“Aw, fuck, Allie,” I start to yell.

  “Shhhhh.”

I bite down on her neck to stifle myself. She grabs hold of the back of my head and I feel her teeth on my shoulder. She bites a bit too hard as she comes and I grunt out my orgasm. I pump hard inside of her, making her pussy quiver as it tries to relax from its contractions. I step back and collapse in a nearby chair ass out and raw.

“Fuck, Baby,” I pant. “You are going to kill me.”

She laughs as best she can while she tries to catch her breath as she sits on her desk.

“I don't think I'm going to be any good for the rest of the day,” she says as she smooths down the skirt she just put back on. “And how am I going to look at Gladys again when I know she knows what we've been doing in here.”

She takes her perfume out of her bag and starts to spritz the room trying to get rid of the smell from our fucking.

“I hate to break it to you, Baby, but every time I have come in here, she knows what we're doing. She sure as hell doesn't think you’re working on my latest computer game.” Her eyes go wide. “What?”

“I forgot my phone meeting with Tyler Lockhart.”

“Well, if anyone would understand, it’s him. The guy is the king of sex on the job and on stage, by the way.”

“Wait a second. Are you telling me you’re that big of a fan that you’ve seen him live on stage?”

“He is only the lead singer of one of my favorite rock bands.”

“Yaaay,” she says to me and I frown wondering where the hell she's going with this. “You need to leave so I can get back to work then,” she says, shooing me out the door.

“Okay,” I tell her, not really getting the connection in the conversation we're having but I chalk it up as Allie just being Allie. “I'll see you for dinner.” I smack her ass and she yelps. I hear her mumbling something annoying under her breath as I walk past her out the door.

“Thank you, Gladys,” I say, strolling on past her desk, feeling sexed-up like I’m the king of the world.

“Anytime,” she says with a smile, like she has no clue that we've been fucking.

“Oh, God.” I hear Allie groan as she closes her door and I can't help but laugh as I get in the elevator.

  ….

  Allison Moore

I close my door once Aaron steps on the elevator and make a call to Tyler Lockhart letting him know that I will definitely be coming to his concert wh
en he hits Los Angeles. I told him that there will be at least eight of us and he was all for it. He even promised me backstage passes for all of us. I hang up with him very excited because I know Aaron will just die at meeting Tyler.

“Allie, you have another flower delivery,” Gladys buzzes in.

  “I'll be right there.”

I go to the lobby to see an extremely large arrangement of flowers. Gladys likes it so much I allow it to stay in the receptionist area since it does brighten the place up. I go to my office and text Brooke asking if we could meet up and talk. She texts back saying that she was close by and she could meet me here. I leave her name downstairs so she can come up. They can be a real bitch if a person's name is not on the visitors’ list even if it is a Wade. Kent explains it is all a part of security, which I get.

This is a safe building and I love working here. I do miss Trailblazer Technologies’ old building sometimes though. It had a certain amount of charm to it. But being so close to Aaron definitely has its advantages. I gasp when I realize he never gave me back my thong.

“Brooke Wade is here to see you, Allie,” Gladys buzzes me.

Brooke walks in looking humbled and unsure of herself. I try not to roll my eyes at her as I offer her a seat.

  “I know you hate me.”

“I don't hate you, Brooke. I know you're hurting about what happened to your mom. I don't blame you for being angry at my mom and your dad. What I don't get is why you were so angry with me. I was just as blindsided as you were.”

  “I know. I'm sorry. I really am.”

“I heard what you said that day at Dan Tana’s when you were talking to Kathleen about me. That really hurt, Brooke. I've been your friend since forever.”

“I know. I hate myself for the way I behaved. I was just so angry. I hate your mom for what she did.”

  “But your dad cheated too.”

  “But I couldn't hate him.”

  “So, you hated me instead?”

“I'm sorry,” she says, again. “I have no excuse. I was just so worried about my mom and your mom was her best friend and she betrayed her so horribly. I just figured since she raised you, then maybe you'd do the same to me.”

“Wow, that's really messed up Brooke. That you would think so little of me because of something someone else did. You really thought I would go after Tuck? I'm not my mother, but she did raise me with morals. She taught me right from wrong and she did a damn good job of it too. I get she’s not setting the best example right now, but neither is Jay.”
