Fuzzy Fights Back Page 10

“Well, bless my ears and whiskers,” said Cinnabun. “That was one persuasive argument.”

Luther smirked. “That there’s a future lawyer, baby.”

“But that’s not all the news, folks!” said Sassafras, gliding in for a landing.

  “What’s up?” asked Mistletoe.

The parakeet hopped around, ruffling the feathers on her head. “I heard Mrs. Martinez talking to the principal today. Mrs. Flake told her that Abby’s argument was almost too persuasive.”

  “How’s that?” asked Fuzzy.

Sassafras cackled. “Not one, not two, but four other classrooms are talking about getting pets.”

Cinnabun’s nose twitched. “You mean …?”

“We’ll have to get a bigger clubhouse,” said Sassafras. “Turns out, everyone loves pets!”

A smile spread across Fuzzy’s face as the others whooped it up. Of course everybody loves pets, he thought, because pets love everybody.
