He grinned and kissed her neck. "I just love making you feel good."

  "Well so do I."

Trixi then grabbed some body wash for Matt and began rubbing down his body, removing the tension. As soon as he was relaxed, Trixi hand wound itself around his erection, slowly pumping it. Matt jerked and groaned. "Trixi, you're playing with fire..."

She giggled and pumped faster. "Maybe I want to get burned..."

Matt grinned, pushed Trixi up against the wall, and shoved himself into her once more. She screamed from the force and grinded as fast as she could. Her breasts were rubbing against Matt's chest, driving them both up the wall. Matt pounded her as hard as he could and she continuing moaning while meeting him thrust for thrust. When they kissed, tongues battled for dominance until air was needed. Matt got his payback by covering Trixi's chest with hickeys of her own. Soon the couple looked like a matching pair. Although, having used most of their energy an hour earlier, their shower session wasn't going to last much longer. Without warning, Trixi screamed and released all that she had, biting down hard on Matt's shoulder. He groaned and released his load into Trixi, feeling a bit weak kneed. After catching their breath, the couple turned off the water, dried off, and decided to watch a movie in Trixi's bed. They fell asleep while intertwined in each other's arms.

"Slow down Matt and tell me your big news." Trixi said while laughing. A little while ago, Matt called up Trixi saying he had important news so now he was dragging her to a secluded part of the local beach. Once he was satisfied with the spot, he turned back to her. "Sorry babe I'm just nervous."

  "About what?"

He took a deep breath and spit out "I got accepted!"

"Accepted? What are you talking about?"

"Remember that medical school I applied for last month? Thinking I wasn't good enough for it? I'm in!"

Trixi screamed from shock and joy before hugging her boyfriend. "Oh my gosh Matt that's awesome! I told you they'd take you! I'm so proud of you."

He laughed, kissed Trixi, and then gazed into her sparkling eyes. "Thank you so much for all your support Trixi. I don't know what I'd do without you...which is going to make my next set of news even harder."

The look in Matt's eyes set off alarms in Trixi's mind. "Matt, what's wrong?"

"The school is in New York."

Trixi felt as if someone had tilted the Earth upside down and punched her in the gut. Her eyes grew wide as she stumbled backwards and sat down on a log. Matt sat down next to her and put him arm around her. "Trixi? Are you ok?"

She took a deep breath and slowly nodded. "I'm not going to faint if that's what you're thinking. But New York...wow...you'd be moving there?"

"Yes...I'm going to living on campus..."

As the news sunk in, Trixi felt the tears come. She tried brushing them away but Matt just hugged her. "It's ok Trixi, just let them out...I'm feeling depressed too."

Trixi didn't know how long she had cried but once she had calmed down, she looked up to see that Matt was still holding her. "I'm sorry Matt...I don't normally break down like that."

"It's ok; I will always there for you...if you'll let me."

Trixi wiped her eyes dry then asked "What do you mean?"

"Most couples, when they have to do a long distance relationship, break up...I don't want that to happen to us...If we work at it, I think we can make it work...I don't want to lose you."

"Oh Matt...I feel the same way. I'm scared but I can't imagine my life without you...I...I love you."

After saying those sacred words she blushed but Matt grinned, kissed her, then replied "I love you too Trixi. I have for a while."

Trixi smiled through the pain while leaning against Matt. "When do you leave?"

  "Next month..."

"Then we're going to make that month burn in our memories forever..."

When the rest of their friends found out the news, they freaked out almost as much as Trixi. Judd probably took it the worst though. Being the tough guy that he was, he refused to show emotion but everyone could tell he was hurting. Matt and Judd had been friends since first grade. "If you don't visit us Matt I will fly to New York and kill you."

Matt smiled a little. "Don't worry dude I'll be back at every holiday. I'm going to miss you all so much."

During the day the gang hung out at local restaurants, parks, the beach, and anywhere else they could be teenagers. No one brought up Matt's oncoming departure but it was always in the back of their minds. Whenever Trixi was off work, she and Matt would spend time together. Watching movies, talking, going on double dates with Shana and Judd, and spending the nights acting like wild animals. But, the sands of time were not on their side and after what felt like only one day, it was time for Matt to leave for higher education. The gang all came to his house to join his parents in showing him off. The guys said their goodbyes by helping him load up his car with all his stuff. Trixi watched and when the last box got loaded in, she could feel tears slipping down her cheeks. If she could, she'd move with him but a local college had just accepted her with a good automotive department. Matt gave his mom and the girls hugs, accepting their good luck wishes and advice. As he approached Trixi, she couldn't hold off the tears any longer. Matt wrapped her up in a bear hug, his own voice breaking. "I know you're sad Trixi but I'll write, email, and call as much as I can. If I have it my way, it'll be every day."

"I know but it won't be the same...I'm going to miss you so much..."

"I'm going to miss you too...I wish I could say something to take away the hurt but I can say this. I love you. And that will never change."

"I love you too Matt. Please, don't ever leave me."

They exchanged a long, loving kiss, then Trixi stood back to let Matt get into his car. He waved one last time before driving off. Trixi wanted to drive him to the airport then drive his car back but she had to work in a few minutes with her sister. So that job went to his dad. Saying goodbye to her friends, she drove home, feeling numb and nothing but pain. Some might say that she was being dramatic but Matt had part of her heart. And he was going to be thousands of miles away. When she got there, Shana welcomed her in, her eyes looking concerned. "Hey sis, if you want the day off, I can call the boss and work something out...you must feel like crap right now."

"I do feel like crap but I need to do something...sitting at home will just make me miss him more. Just let me change and we can go."

As Trixi walked up the stairs to her room, she winced at realizing how emotionless her voice sounded. Matt had better keep in contact.

At the beginning, Matt called every night, and they would talk for hours, ignoring the fact that they had to get up the next day for class or work. He would email pictures and write romantic letters. Trixi still missed him, but was determined to make it work. She was sure Matt was the right guy for her. Shana joked and said that she was obsessed with the phone and computer but deep down she understood. Matt was going about his classes with flying colors and Trixi couldn't be more proud. And he loved the fact that he had a car junkie girlfriend who was also passing her classes. The only thing that sucked was seeing couples out in public, or seeing her sister with Judd. A stab of pain would hit her heart, but she slowly became used to it. She was a tough girl so she was going to hold her head up high. So when Matt's calls and emails became less and less, she tried not to complain. He used to call every night, but it shortened to a couple times a week, to only once a week. Not wanting to cause a fight, Trixi just assumed that he was busy. He was going to become a doctor after all. But November seemed to be their breaking point. Even on the weekends, he wouldn't call and if he did, the call would only last about fifteen minutes. Finally one night, when he called, she brought it up. "Matt, what the hell is up with you? You're hardly talking to me!"

"Trixi, we established this before I left. You knew how busy I was going to be; the weekends I'm studying and watching surgeries."

"I know but why did it go from emailing almost every day to now almost once
a month? I love you Matt and I'm starting to feel neglected."

"I love you too and please remember, I miss you too...this long distance relationship isn't working as well as I thought it would."

"Did you think it would be easy!?"

"No I...Trixi, I'm sorry but I don't know what to say...I love you with all my heart but if I'm trying to get a good grade, I won't be able to talk as much."

"I know...but whenever I'm studying, I make time for you...I don't know if I can keep doing this..."

  "What do you mean Trixi?"

She released a shaky breath as her voice rose. "This! Waiting by the phone like a dog for its master, constantly checking my email, and mailbox...It kills me to do this but I don't think we can make this work anymore..."

"Trixi, please don't do this. You're just upset right now...just take a breather, let me call tomorrow, and your mind will change...I love you..."

Trixi could feel her eyes welling up with tears but she had to stay strong. This was the hardest thing she'd ever done. "Please, don't make this any harder than it already is...I love you Matt...and I probably always will, but this is killing me...we need to say our goodbye."

Before he could have a change to reply, Trixi hung up the phone and began sobbing into her pillow. She could literally feel her heart breaking and the air being knocked from her body as the tears flowed from her like rain. She tried to tell herself she did the right thing but her broken heart disagreed. For the rest of the night, she cried herself to sleep.

Thousands of miles away in New York, Matt was angrily pacing his room. Since he lacked a roommate, he didn't have to worry about waking anyone up. When Trixi had hung up, he had thrown his phone across the room, cracking the battery out. Once he fixed it, he began pacing. He felt angry and numb, not knowing how to react. He was pissed that Trixi couldn't understand why he was so busy but understood why she did it. After the breakup had actually sunk in, he sat down on the edge of the bed and cried, cried for the first time since his dog died when he was fifteen. He didn't know how long he had cried until the tears stopped but one thing was for certain. College was going to be hell from here on out. Back in Washington, Trixi was somehow making it through with the support of her sister and surprisingly, their friends. When she first broke the news to them, they were naturally pissed but realized nothing they said was going to change the situation. The girls were taking it better than the guys but still talked to her. Everyone except Judd. By breaking up with Matt, Trixi learned that she had broken up with Judd as well. She hoped that he would come around someday but luckily it didn't interfere with his relationship with Shana. However, December proved to be harder than November. Christmas love was in the air and it was making Trixi sick. It seemed like everyone on the planet had someone to love but her. So when the week before Christmas day came, the girls of their gang surprised Trixi by stopping by her house. She was home alone because Shana was out with Judd. When she opened the door to let the five girls in, she asked "what are you girls doing here? It's ten at night."

Crystal hugged her before speaking for the group. "We know we weren't very supportive when you first broke up with Matt, but we were friends with you first. So, we're here to cheer you up. There's this club down the block that has it all. Music, dancing, and hot guys."

Trixi could see where this was going but all she wanted to do was curl up in her bed, eat a box of chocolates, and watch Titanic. "Crystal, that's a nice gesture but I'm just not in the mood. Plus, we're not twenty one."

Crystal smiled her devilish smile. "You can be eighteen and still get in. Besides, we're not going to force any guys on you. The hot guys are mainly for us. But you need to get out of the house sweetie. Moping isn't healthy."

Trixi looked from face to face, seeing the same determination in all of them. Sighing, she threw up her hands. "Fine! I'll go. But if it sucks I'm coming home early."

"Deal! Now go throw something sexy on."

Trixi grumbled all the way up the stairs then threw open her closet. None of the clothes really screamed out at her but she finally settled on her classic little black dress. It was skin tight, stopped mid thing, and the V-neck showed off her large chest quite nicely. After fixing her hair and make-up, she approved of her appearance. She had never been to a club before but this looked pretty clubby to her. She grabbed her purse and joined the girls back downstairs, who wolf whistled. "Damn Trixi! You clean up nice. I love that dress."

"Thanks. Now let's just get this over with."

After much discussing, Trixi finally got the girls to let her take her own car. That way, if the club sucked, she could leave without disturbing their fun. And they had made a pact not to drink tonight, but if that slipped they wouldn't drive. After agreeing, Trixi started following them to the club. All the way she was dreading this night out but hoped her expectations would be turned wrong. About twenty minutes later, they arrived at a building that looked like your typical bar, but had a huge dance floor. It was already in full swing. The girls hopped out of the car and let Trixi in. "Don't worry. This'll be a night you'll never forget."

After the entered, the girls began flirting with the guys and dancing to the music. Despite her foul mood, Trixi found herself dancing a little. She paid the guys no attention but she supposed dancing was a start. However, about an hour in, April disappeared into the crowd. Trixi tried to find her but failed. "Hey Crystal, do you know where April is?"

"She's over there talking to a guy. If it doesn't work out she'll be back."

Trixi nodded in understanding. They all loved April, but she was very fickle with men. But what happened next Trixi was not prepared for. The music stopped and a young man walked up onto the stage. "Good evening and welcome to The Hot Spot! It has come time for our karaoke session!"

As soon as he said that, the girls started giggling but tried covering it. 'Those bitches...' Trixi thought. 'They probably signed me up...I'll kill them.' The announcer continued his speech. "So without further ado, let's welcome up the first contestants. Now, friendly reminder that's its always hard getting up here on stage, let alone being the first ones up. So give a warm round of applause to Trixi and Matt!"

The audience started cheering and clapping but it all fell on deaf ears to Trixi. When the announcer said Matt, her heart stopped. 'It can't be...it just can't be...' She tried telling herself that but deep down knew it would be him. She glared at Crystal. "You bitch!"

The girl didn't seem fazed in the slightest. "You can call me whatever you want when you get done but for now get your cute ass up there!"

With a forceful shove from her 'friend', Trixi was in the spotlight on the stage. After a minute, Matt joined her on stage, avoiding eye contact. Just seeing made her choke with guilt, especially when he looked so hurt. His looks hadn't changed at all but his eyes held pain. Her train of thought was broken by the announcer yet again. "And being kind friends, they chose the song for you. Don't worry, they claimed you both knew the song really well but we have words just in case. Good luck!"

He handed them microphones then got off stage. The clapping died down and as the music began, Trixi realized it was Need You Now by Lady Antebellum. She couldn't help but roll her eyes at the predictability. It just had to be this song. Taking a deep breath to calm her trembling body, she began singing. The lyrics were a perfect description of how she was feeling. Much to her surprise, Matt actually sang with her, raw emotion in his voice. And his voice was breath taking. But, the duo was still avoiding eye contact. When his verse came on, it was all Trixi could do not to cry. Taking a huge leap of faith, she stepped closer to him, and he didn't seem to mind. As the bridge of the song started coming on, Trixi risked a look at Matt, only to find him looking back at her. For the rest of the song, they gazed into each other's eyes, realizing what they had lost. They sang with all their hearts and by the time the song ended, they couldn't look away. Only the audience screaming and clapping brought them back to reality. They each made a shaky bow and hurried off the stage, but Trix
i stopped Matt before he could go anywhere. "Matt, I think I know why our friends made us do that. That song...it made me realize why I've been in so much pain...I know I don't deserve you back but I really do need you...I love you Matt."

For a moment, Trixi thought he was just going to walk away but he finally replied "Trixi, I loved you ever since we went on that camping trip. When you broke up with me, you broke my heart...any smart man wouldn't take you back but I can't live without you...if we do this again, we need to try harder at the long distance."

"I know and I'm ready for that. I was just confused and scared and upset and...I didn't know how to react to all of those emotions. But if no matter what I do, I'm always going to miss you so I might as well let you back into my life...if you'll come."

Matt grinned, wiped Trixi's tears away, and pulled her into a bear hug. "Oh Trixi, I've been waiting months for you to say that. I love you and yes, I want to be a part of your life."

They sealed the deal with a kiss. The audience was cheering, but mostly for the next performer. Only friends of Matt and Trixi would know why they were cheering. Finally breaking apart for air, Matt smirked at Trixi. "You know, they do say that the best kind of sex is make up sex. Your place or mine?"

Trixi laughed and started pulling him toward the door. "Definitely mine."

  The End.

  Thy Rod and Thy Cane

I'd get a room for the evening. Text you the location and time. Lets say...6:30 PM. And what my whim for the night is. Tonight, I want Victorian, I think. Wear a long skirt, long-sleeved white or cream blouse, high necked. Put your hair up. Boots with heels. Underwear? do you even have to ask? Do wear a bra, though. I like playing with them.

A knock. "Come in, please." Some people are harsh and rude, trying to establish their authority with force and bluster. Me, I never found that was needed. One either is, or is not: does, or does not. You will come in, give me a civil greeting, and wait quietly. Oh, and the term is "Sir." It's not a Master/slave piece of nonsense -- just more common civil courtesy.
