Chapter UNWANTED GUEST I Am Legend (book, 1954)—“Ben Cortman” was Robert Neville’s friendly neighbor turned nemesis vampire.
Night of the Living Deb (film, 2015)—The main character had old an Cadillac named “OTIS.”
Chapter SHACKING UP The Evil Dead: Evil Dead (film, 1981)—Takes place in a small cabin in the woods with a trapdoor to a cellar. The key was hidden above the front door.
Evil Dead II (film, 1987)—Also takes place in a small cabin in the woods, where Ash has odd experiences with old “chainsaw.”
Evil Dead III: Army of Darkness (film, 1992)—Ash has odd experiences with a “broken mirror.”
The same 1973 “Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royal” owned by the director was featured in all three films and several later films.
Night of the Living Dead (film, 1968)—“Space disease or cosmic radiation” from a deep-space Venus probe caused the zombies.
“Mr. Art Bell” was the original creator and host of my all-time favorite late-night AM radio talk show Coast To Coast AM, later turning the show over to George Noory.
Chapter: ADVERSARIES I Walked With A Zombie (film, 1943)—Jessica Holland, wife of sugar plantation owner Paul Mill, was stuck in a zombielike trance.
Dawn of the Dead (film, 1978)—Small junk airplane at airport, white with blue stripes, with “N688IM” on the side.
Survival of the Dead (2009, Film)—“Plum Island” was the setting for the movie and also advertised as a safe zone.
Zombieland (film, 2009) Referencing “Columbus, Ohio” as the lead character’s parents. Blaine’s Grocery Store is where Tallahassee sought Twinkies and found their new female “friends.”
28 Days Later (film, 2002)—Maj. Henry West of the 42nd Blockade oversaw the military sanctuary.
Chapter: PAYMENT PLAN Survival of the Dead (film, 2009)—Muldoon family on Plum Island refused to kill the zombies.
Fight Club (film, 1999) Raymond K. Hessel is the convenience store worker.

Chapter: WOLF PACK Dawn of the Dead (film, 1978)—WGON was the TV news station.
Shaun of the Dead (film, 2004)—Shaun worked at the Foree Electronics store next to Buff’s Pizzeria.
Dead Rising (video game, 2006)—The game centers a fictional town of Willamette (also in Dead Rising 4 released ten years later in 2016).
Chapter: PREGAME Zombieland (film, 2009)—“We stand united against the infection’ posters displayed in store window of “Three Sisters Bridal & Occasion” when Tallahassee relieves stress on the minivan.

Chapter: HOMECOMING Return of the Living Dead (film, 1985)—“2-4-5 Trioxin” has been mentioned in several zombie movies and documentaries, Return of the Living Dead being the first. 2-4-5 Trioxin is a spinoff of one of the two chemicals used to produce Agent Orange, called 2,4,5-Trichlorophenoxyacetic acid.
Dead Rising: Watchtower (film based on video game, 2015)—Chase Carter is the protagonist of the film. Based in a fictional town in Oregon. The character is also a journalist.
White Zombie (film, 1932)—Bride-to-be Madeleine Short is cursed by voodoo, turning her into a zombie.
Chapter: SILK ROAD Quarantine (film, 2008)—A fireman named Jake and a veterinarian named Lawrence get trapped inside a zombie-filled apartment building.
Dead Heat (film, 1988)—Detectives Roger Mortis and Doug Bigelow investigate a pharma company attempting immortality.
28 Weeks Later (film, 2007)—Tammy and Andy leave their father, Don, while they journey into a zombie-infested region to look for their mother, Alice. A gray four-door Volvo with fire-charred back hatch license plate S604OEW was seen in the movie under a bridge.
Navy SEALS vs. Zombies (film, 2015)—Lt. Pete Cunningham commanded the rescue team with intelligence provided by CIA agent Stacy Thomas.
Chapter: COTERIE The REZORT (film, 2015)—Hope 4 U refugee-relocation organization turned refugees into zombies for the Rezort.
