All Right Now Page 33

by Madelynne Ellis

Ash tipped her backward so that they ended up sprawled upon the car’s bonnet. She fit the shape of him so perfectly. No one had ever felt quite so perfect in his arms. In the dim recesses of his brain, he was vaguely aware of the crowd howling like a pack of wild dogs.

He’d never stopped wanting her, or loving her, and it was funny, but now that she was here in his arms, it seemed so obvious a decision to choose not to be without her.

Ash crushed their bodies together and deep kissed her, spearing his tongue into her mouth, while she clawed at his back, hair, and clothing.

Her fingernails dug into his arse, then the spiked heels of her shoes.

Those killer legs of hers, wrapped around him, bringing their pelvises into alignment.

The temptation to unzip and get inside her right now was near overwhelming. “Ginny… Ginny… Oh, lord.”

“Ash,” she whispered, her need a reflection of his own.

“Want you so badly, Ginny Bear.”

  “Me too.”

  “But not here,” Spook intruded.

All of a sudden, the band, and crew were circled around them forming a shield against the crowd of onlookers. Ash straightened up and helped Ginny rise. “I think we better take this inside.”

“Good plan,” Cave Troll whacked him on the back. Several of the other guys gave him congratulatory thumps too.

“I’ll move the car,” Rock Giant offered.

Ash and Ginny synchronously shook their heads. No way was he laying a finger on that vehicle.

“Dani will,” Ginny insisted. “In any case, she has the keys.”

They moved inside to the soundtrack of Paul’s thwarted grumbles.

  ***

Ash knew he was due on stage in not very many minutes, but he just couldn’t stand to let go of Ginny. They’d been holding on tight to one another from the minute he said yes. What they now required, was some privacy, a fact the guys seemed to have failed to recognise. So, when the rest of the band slipped out of the dressing room to head to the wings to await their cues, Ash lingered behind with Ginny and locked the door behind them.

It had all begun between the two of them in a dressing room. It made sense that this was where their journey also came full circle.

“Ash, I’m—” He cut her off with a kiss, and then by holding his index finger against her lips.

“No more apologies.” They were done with that. What had happened was done. Now they were moving forward. He’d realised that while she’d hurt him, their love was vast enough to weather a few scratches, and he’d rather be with her and work at things, than not be with her and be a sad sack sap. “Unless you’ve a new crime to confess to.”

Only that of loving you to a stupid degree, he imagined her saying.

“Um, there is one. I think I may have forgotten to tell them to install the ejector seat in the car.”

That was probably a good thing. The temptation to utilise it on annoying passengers would have been far too great. “Damn,” he drawled, tilting his head from side to side. “Forgivable, though.”

She pursed her lips as she smiled. “Did you really wank over my picture last night?” She showed him the text messages Rock Giant had sent.

“Hey, you probably shouldn’t believe everything he says.”

A bright, knowing smile shot straight to her eyes, which shone like twin puddles of whisky-gold. “Uh-huh.” It was funny how whole conversations could be encapsulated into two syllables and a single look.

“What can I say, I really wanted you.”

  “Me too.”

“Have you been driving around all over the place looking for me?”

Her nose crinkled. “It’s put a few miles on the clock.”

  “And now you’ve found me?”

Her fingers danced along the ridge of his collar bone. Then her delicate hand slipped behind his neck, encouraging him to lean forward so that their lips were mere millimetres apart. “I’m going to eat you,” she said. She kissed the tip of his nose. Then trailed her hands over his chest as she slid down onto her knees.

“Gin, I’m not sure there’s time,” he said as she unbuckled his belt.

“Trust me, there’s always time for this. I think tonight’s audience will understand if you’re a little late.”

When she put it like that… And confession, there was a certain appeal to the picture of himself sauntering onto the stage, mid-way through the first number, still buttoning his fly, to raucous screams of approval. Maybe Xane would shoot him a death glare, before breaking into a smile, all while his nimble fingers danced their way through the melody he was enriching with his voice.

They’d manage the switch over so smoothly the audience wouldn’t even notice it until Xane put down his guitar.

So, maybe she was right. There was time.

“I never used to like… Aww!” His breath caught in his throat. She had the knack. She totally had the knack. Ash threaded his fingers through her wildly crimped hair, and rocked his hips. Shivers coursed through his body and his mouth stretched around an enormous grin. Ginny had always known exactly the right moves to make. It wasn’t, he’d realised, necessarily that she did anything different to what any other person attempting to give pleasure might do. It was the connection between them that made it special. And that it was done as an expression of love with the sole intention of bringing him pleasure.

Some things you couldn’t convey accurately with only words, that’s when you had to utilise other methods, open your mind up to your other senses and stop letting words drown everything else out.

“I love you, Ash. I love you. I love you. I love this bit, and this bit…” She planted kisses across his lower abs and the tops of his thighs. “And this bit, and this…” She grabbed hold of his T-shirt front and tugged, encouraging him to bend so that she could kiss him on the lips. “And I love watching you, when I do this with my tongue.”

Whereas he couldn’t keep his eyes open and watch the delicate circling, because it hit his pleasure centres with too much force.

Ash hooked his hands beneath the tops of her arms. What she was doing, it was fantastic, but it was too lopsided for him to allow things to reach a conclusion that way. They were going forward as a couple, and as equals, and that meant sealing that agreement in a certain way.

“Come up here you. All the way up.” She leapt into his arms, legs wrapped round his waist. Ash spun them around, and secured her some purchase against the dressing table, surrounded by a halo of lights. He didn’t bother dispensing with her glittery shorts, they were only itty-bitty things anyway, and there was enough give in them to push them aside. In any case, she was slick for him—so crazy effing wet. Ash didn’t waste time over sliding right where they both wanted him to be.

It was like they’d been magnetised. Their gazes locked, breathing synchronised. The beat of her heart thundered in his ears. One moment of thunderous, rapturous perfection followed another. Her nails bit into his shoulders. His hands held captive her pert and perfect arse. Sometimes it didn’t matter that everything coalesced and then exploded into starlight in the blink of an eye. The important point was that they were both together in that moment.

  Together.

  Forever.

  Until death do us part.

  Anything But Vanilla

(Read about Xane’s cousin Ric Liddell)

One girl. Two guys. No strings.

Kara North is on the run. Fleeing from her controlling fiancé and a wedding she never wanted, she accepts the chance offer of refuge on wild, rocky Liddell Island, where she soon catches the eye of the island’s owner, erotic photographer Ric Liddell. Wickedly sexy by day and just plain wicked by night, Ric rules his domain like a feudal lord. He’s used to getting what he wants, without any commitment, and just when Kara thinks she has him hooked, he hides behind a cool, dispassionate mask.

But pleasure comes in more than one flavour when Zachary Blackwater, the charming ice-cream vendor also takes an interest, and wants more than just a tumble in the surf. Zach offers her warmth that she never felt from her ex, and soon it’s not just the ice-cream that’s melting.

When Kara learns that the two men have been unlikely lovers for years, she becomes obsessed with the idea of a threesome. Zach is reluctant, until he sees the dynamic effect Kara has on Ric’s emotions. She might be the key to finally capturing Ric’s heart.

Soon Kara is wondering how she ever considered binding herself to just one man. She’s never had so much fun or felt so uninhibited, but just when everything seems so perfect, the man she left behind returns with some very old-fashioned ideas about rescuing her and taking her home to his own idea of wedded bliss.
