I think that’s part of the reason he won’t let me cook. He’s more than aware by now of what him shirtless in front of the stove does to me.
Smiling, I wrap my arms around him from behind and trail kisses along his shoulders, loving the way his muscled body feels beneath them. “Shouldn’t we be unpacking?”
He turns around to face me, his hands cupping my ass. “Unpacking can wait until tomorrow before work.”
“And that is why we still have like twenty boxes to unpack.”
“It’ll get done,” he whispers, his hands moving to grip my hair. “We have forever to unpack. I’m not going anywhere, and neither are you.”
“True.” I reach behind him and turn off the stove, a small smile taking over my lips. “We have all night to eat too.”
His grip on my hair tightens as he tilts my head up so that his lips are above mine. “You better be sure, because once I step away from this stove, I won’t be stepping back in front of it for hours. I’m warning you now.”
“I’m more than sure.”
“Fuck, I love you.” Without hesitating, he picks me up and carries me through the house to our bed. “You’re mine, forever.” He grabs my left hand and kisses it, his hard body moving in between my legs.
“I love you too,” I whisper, my hands caressing his face. “There’s no one else I’d rather spend forever with. Colson Bennett is mine and I’m never letting him go.”
His lips crash hard against mine, and just like we do almost every night, we make love like we’ll die without each other. Truth is, at this point, I feel like I would. That’s how much I love him, and that’s how much I can’t live without him.
