He rose now that War had Tess and accepted some towels from Keir who had gone in and gotten more after Bastion stated his intentions. Kade was behind him, already done with the dryer and a hot, fluffy towel in his own hands that he kept bundled up to preserve the warmth.

War lied down on top of the bed on his back with Tess on top of him once Bastion laid the towels down. The wet spots were only damp and shouldn’t soak through the heavier cotton of the absorbent towels.

“You’re going to have to straddle me,” War said, matter of factly.

  “What?” Tess squeaked out.

“Girl on top,” Keir teased. “Don’t worry, your kilt will stay decent if you don’t move around too much.”

“We need access to where you are wet. Get into position,” Bastion ordered.

  Kade smacked his back, hard.

“I’ll tuck the warm towel underneath you. It’s huge and will cover up everything. I’ve got it nice and warm from the dryer,” Kade coaxed. He needed to do this to make up for earlier, so Bastion didn’t say anything or smack him back.

Ignoring them all, Bastion headed over to Tess’s dresser to search for sleep pants. He had seen a couple loose, warm looking ones when they had put her unpacked clothes away. Turning around he saw Tess very awkwardly straddling War with her hands on his chest and Kade following her the towel opened up and draped over her back end.

They weren’t going to get her dry that way.

Kade noticed the problem at the same time. “Pumpkin, gonna dry you off now. Keep your legs open.”

Tess clamped her hand down on Kade’s towel-wrapped hand before it could get anywhere.

Oh, this was like watching someone trip over their untied laces. Bastion had to do something and Tess needed to be prodded into relaxing.

Bastion walked over to the three of them, flipped Tess’s skirt up and smacked both her buttcheeks. Nice and firm slaps that would get her attention. He held himself back from delivering more and flipped her kilt back down.

Kade blustered beside him but his eyes were still glued to the lovely backside Bastion had bared and spanked. Bastion dropped to lie on his back beside War and looked up to Tess’s outraged face.

She was flushed and had that look Bastion preferred, angry but turned on despite it.

“Your ass is fucking perfect. No wonder Rob Balor was willing to risk getting his pecker broken to get another look at it. Let Kade and War get you warm and dry or I’m going to put you over my lap again, and it’s not going to have anything to do with getting you cleaned up.”

Keir whistled. “Bastion, you have balls,” he commented.

“Add spanking to the list,” Bastion replied with confidence.

“What list?” Tess said, relaxing her thighs so Kade could do his job. “And I can’t believe you spanked me. Kinky much?”

“You have your safe word, Kitten. Go ahead and use it anytime, or just tell us exactly what you don’t like or want. We’re listening. But if you agree to let Kade clean you up because he’s feeling guilty about his outburst earlier and he wants to do something for you, then you chicken out, expect a little reminder to use your mouth to communicate. I didn’t gag you, yet.”

“Did he hurt you?” Kade asked, leaning over her with his towelled hand between her legs. He had to be done drying her now, was just holding it up against her, letting the warmth of the dryer soothe her.

  “He spanked me!” Tess said.

Kade bit her ear lobe on the side that Bastion had a clear view. “I bit you,” Kade said. “It hurt, but I bet you liked it,” he whispered into her ear, then sucked the bitten lobe into his mouth.

Tess moaned and closed her eyes, grinding her hips back. “Fine, I didn’t hate it,” she said.

“Kade, you’re not supposed to be getting her wetter,” War grumbled beneath them.

“It’s hot,” Keir said. “Never thought I was much of a voyeur but that spank is going into the bank as well as her rubbing against my brother like she’s in heat and he’s still got ice in his hand.”

Tess’s eyes opened. “Spank bank? Really?”

“Kitten, we’re all going home tonight to jerk off to your sweet body and the taste of you on our lips,” Bastion said, straightening his aching arousal in front of her.

The bulge was the hardest he remembered feeling without the promise of nearby relief. He wasn’t going to find some one-night stand to fuck, either. Nope, Tess was worth waiting for as long as it took.

“I guess it’s only fair if I finger myself to the memory of four hard bodies in my bed tonight,” Tess said, scratching her hands down War’s big chest with more confidence.

War yanked her down on top of his pelvis and thrust. “Hard is one way to put it,” he said as she closed her eyes again, tossing her head back.

“Ah, Kade, move your hand away or I’m going to come again,” she desperately pleaded.

“His hand’s not between your legs,” War ground out, releasing her hips so she could move up off his big erection.

Kade had moved his hand already, leaving the towel behind. He used both his hands grab Tess around the hips and help her up, picking her up all the way and depositing her on her feet beside the bed.

“Let’s sandwich you between my twin and me for the first time,” Kade suggested.

“Don’t ask one to do a job meant for two or you might come up short,” Keir teased, coming behind Tess to sandwich her as Kade proposed. He mussed her hair in a friendly manner and let go of her to stand beside his twin.

Bastion groaned. The two of them looked like twin perfection, one lighter and one darker with all of Kade’s changes in his appearance, but there was no doubt they were a matched pair.

“Twins are double the trouble,” War commented, sitting up.

“And double the fun,” Keir insisted.

Tess sighed but only after she stared at both Kade and Keir for a good ten seconds.

“As much enjoyment as I would get from seeing you figure out which twin you want to go on the bottom first, Kitten, it’s getting too late to continue playing games. We need to get your homework done.”

“Yeah, agreed,” Tess said, turning to look at Bastion.

He handed her the sleep pants. “Put these on under your kilt and we’re all going to get our homework opened for some rapid copying. War will write down some ideas for the papers you both have to write in religion and you guys will work together on them this weekend. I’m going to get a load of laundry going.”

“Bossy,” she said, rolling her eyes. She pulled the pants on right in front of them, some of her earlier modesty shed with the mention of homework and the end of their sexy games.

“As long as you like it,” Bastion said, giving her a wink.

  Chapter 22

  Tess

THE REST OF THE SCHOOL week was almost routine. The new routine, where one of the guys was always with her unless she was sleeping or excused herself to the washroom. It was a bit overwhelming at first. She had come from near complete independence living on her own at the dorm in the private school, old enough that the dorm mom was just someone Tess waved to once and a while on her way to her next class.

Personally, Tess thought that Bastion would make a good dorm mom. She was smart enough not to tell him so to his face.

There was always a good excuse for why one of the guys had to be with her. It was more efficient to drive her between places and they were all so helpful with getting her coffee or showing her to the bigger city library and picking up the giant bag of dog food for Sneakers that she never would have gotten home on the bus but was so much better priced in bulk. One of them needed something where she was going if she tried to brush them off, coincidences be damned when War claimed he needed to pick up dog food too when she mentioned the pet store. She still had the text on her phone that said he had plenty of organic food for his dog at home.

They were up to something and Tess know who was the bossiest one of them all and handing out the orders.
<
br />   What the guys hadn’t done was make more moves on her since the oral orgy as Bastion had called it. Tess still had plenty of fresh memories of all of those big, hard and hot bodies surrounding her on her tiny futon and pleasuring her. It was more than enough fantasizing material for her to take care of her daily arousal herself that the guys sparked spending so much time around her. She knew how wild they looked like under their schoolboy starched shirts and exactly what their hands and mouths could do to her. It was just puzzling that they had done something so fast and steamy to suddenly back down to the first base.

She was hugged and some tame kisses, more like busses of her lips really, and plenty of dirty comments to keep her hoping for some delivery of what they promised when they looked at her, but it was a bit of a dry spell. The guys must have had a talk over their group chat without her about where things were going with all of them. It left her feeling more annoyed every day because she should have been included if they were deciding on their relationship.

Of course, she didn’t just sit there and ignore the fact that they were treating her more like a sister than a girlfriend.

Okay, they better not kiss their sisters.

  Did they have sisters?

“Has anybody here kissed their sister?” Tess asked out loud.

It was lunch and it was loud in the cafeteria. Her thoughts were coming from all directions as usual, despite the coffee Bastion had brought her that she was still sipping, but this wasn’t a mix up between her thoughts and her mouth. She needed to get the attention of the guys.

War actually spit his drink, then he choked. She knew from Ruby that he had two sisters. Also unlikely that he had ever kissed either of them with incestuous intent by that response.

“Have you been thinking about kissing girls, Kitten?” Bastion asked, taking another bite of his croissant and chewing undisturbed.

She knew he was an only child, an important heir. That much had been clear from all the gossip at school, although it was getting harder to hear any of it with the guys surrounding her all the time and protecting her from unwanted comments of the Rob Balors of the school. She was limited to what she heard in the girl’s washrooms.

“I was thinking that you guys kiss me like I’m your sister,” Tess said. She popped a strawberry into her mouth, the top already cut off and sliced in half. War brought them for her every day now.

“Not unless you’re a novice nun we’re trying to corrupt to sin,” War said, accent getting pronounced. That seemed to happen when he got turned on.

“Sweet and ripe for perverting your unholy education,” Bastion said, popping one of her strawberries into his own mouth and chewing. He always ate them, too. Bastion had a bit of a sweet tooth, she suspected.

The double meaning made her bunny scrunch her nose at him. He did it on purpose, knowing how her mind worked. The church part of him clearly was switched off. Tess wondered if Kade had exaggerated about Bastion’s church-going family or if Bastion was the only unrepentant sinner amongst them. Personally, she thought Bastion’s mockery was half at himself most of the time. Innuendo though was more natural, smoothly rolling off his tongue like he was born an incubus.

Nothing was holy about the prayers girls wanted Bastion to answer.

“Well, you would know if I’m sweet,” Tess said, shifting the container holding what was left of her strawberries out of Bastion’s reach and grabbing another for herself.

“Told you she would notice,” Keir said.

“Notice what?” Tess said, shooting him a pointed glance.

  “Good behaviour,” Keir said.

“Well, it does seem unnatural,” Tess replied, letting some of her annoyance slip out in her tone. “Next thing I know, Kade and Keir are going to join the choir again. Such perfectly behaved twin angels, I think the Watsons described.”

  “Devils,” Bastion said.

“Only if you’re Beelzebub himself then,” Tess muttered, stuffing the rest of the strawberries.

War laughed. “Don’t ever change, Pumpkin. And I’ll be keeping the title of Lucifer if you please.”

Her mouth was full. She chewed.

“Do you really want to have this conversation here?” Bastion asked, tapping his fingers on the table.

Bastion never fidgeted. She swallowed her mouthful of strawberries, deciding she better answer sooner rather than later. “I would like to have a conversation. It sounds like I was left out of the last important one.”

“It’s been three days,” Bastion said.

“Fine, but don’t complain when I leave you out of the loop,” she said.

“Are you keeping secrets?” Keir asked.

“Aren’t we all keeping secrets?” she retorted, giving Kade the pointed look this time.

War coughed, which drew her attention. She gave him a more thorough look over. What the heck could he be hiding? She had met War’s mom and she seemed straightforward and honest. War didn’t act as if he had the dark secrets like those that belonged to Kade and Bastion on his shoulders. Maybe he just carried them better?

“Where are we going after school?” Keir asked.

Tess smiled at him, grateful for the subject change. The twins usually drove her around to the hospital, grocery, bank and the various other places she had to go in order to get things sorted. Today she had a side trip planned that would be better without their company.

No way would they approve and it could also get them in trouble, which Tess didn’t feel fair asking them to risk.

“I’m going to go to my mom’s workplace to pick up some of her stuff. Her boss asked to talk to me, so I might be a bit. I don’t need a ride. It’s just on Hanson Street,” Tess said.

Start with the truth. She wasn’t a good liar and would prefer not to outright lie over simply misleading. All of the guys had met her mother now, and they seemed willing to help her do anything to help Maddy. Bastion and War hadn’t gotten the same nice visit that Kade and Keir lucked out on; her mother had been heavily sedated on Wednesday’s visit a couple days ago. They still got to introduce themselves and share a cup of tea in the inpatient dining room along with Kade, Keir, Jason and Ashley. Ruby had set it up so all of them could see her mother, trying to get a response, anything. The catatonic attacks had increased in frequency overnight and during the day. Doc Mike was puzzled as to what else to do but offer the standby medications for schizophrenics with similar symptoms. They were like horse tranquilizers, unfortunately, very sedating.

Maddy had smiled with a doped grin and fallen asleep in her chair after a few minutes. It had been a short visit but at least there were no mention of distressing topics like Daniels. No, her mother wasn’t going to provide answers. Maddy needed them though, as much as Tess had to understand what happened if she wanted to help her mother’s recovery.

  Daniel’s ain’t got me.

“Okay, go to your mom’s workplace and text us when you’re done so we can pick you up for tutoring tonight,” Keir said.

Tess waited for a ‘but’ or for someone to call her out. Nada. Too relieved when nobody said anything more about it, she didn’t wonder why that had been so easy until they were back in class.

All of them were keeping secrets despite their promises not to do it. Hers were about to get dangerous.

“YOUR MOM’S STUFF IS in this box and those are her safety boots.”

Tess looked at the small box that was only a quarter filled. One picture of all of them together, even dad. A half-eaten roll of chewy mints. An old sweater that had a patch sewn on one elbow. Work boots with steel toes on the outside, sitting beside the box.

“Are you firing my mom?” Tess asked, unimpressed. Her mother was legitimately ill and Tess had gotten the doctor to send a note. It shouldn’t be legal to fire her mother like this.

“She’s a casual employee. I have to fill the position,” the guy that had directed her into the locker room said with a sigh. Like Tess had put him out of his way to give her a box of her mom’s belonging
s so the new hire would have a locker.

“She needs this job,” Tess insisted. “How many people can work casual shifts like my mom? You’re lucky that she accepts that kind of work.”

The guy crossed his arms over his chest and gave her a look that said she was too young to understand the intricacies of the labour market and his hiring practices.

“Do you even have anyone to replace my mom yet?” Tess asked, pushing when she figured he was struggling to find someone. Tess hadn’t exaggerated. Her mother worked odd shifts, only once every week or so, then sometimes two or three in one week, and all of them were continental twelve-hour doozies with manual labour.

“We have an ad in the newspaper,” he answered.

That would be a no. “I can do it,” Tess said, coming up with an idea to save her mother’s position until she was released. “If you only ask the weekend shifts when I’m not at school, I’ll fill them until my mom is better.”

“You’re a teenager,” the guy scoffed, but he also uncrossed his arms and looked her over.

Tess picked up the box and left the boots on the floor. Her mother was the same shoe size. “I’m eighteen, old enough to take care of my younger siblings and they’re twice as much work as making door handles.”

“You’ll be here on Saturday at 8 pm and we’ll see how you work. And if anybody else applies for the job that is qualified, you and your mother are out,” the guy proposed. It was like he was mad at her for coming up with the idea, which was ludicrous. She was helping him, too. This position would be very difficult to hire for without better guarantee of hours.

“I’ll bring my resume and social insurance number on Saturday,” Tess said, accepting the terms. “Please have my mother’s boots put back in her locker. I’m going to have to step into them for a while.”

The guy didn’t appreciate her humour. He dismissed her with a wave of his hand. What was she, a peasant to his royal highness?

Tess walked past him, determined to ignore it. She noticed he wasn’t going to get the door for her either, even though she had the box of her mother’s belongings in her arms.
