But no. She rubbed her forehead. I should have known.
All those whispered promises. The hopes he’d mumbled as he came inside her. They were all just words. Empty words. He’d probably already showered, suited up, and headed to the office.
Would she get a bonus and a nice pat on the ass on the way out the door? His assistant would probably take care of the whole thing. Would he even bother to show back up? The man had houses all over the place.
He could fly to Beverly Hills or New York for a few days. Hell, Paris, even.
She flung her legs off the side of the bed when the door opened.
“Good morning, beautiful.” Jacob waltzed in, wearing nothing but a pair of low-slung pajama pants and carrying an overflowing tray.
She blinked. “You’re here.”
“Of course I’m here.” He sat the tray on the bed and Rachel glanced at it.
It was loaded with pastries and juice and the morning paper. “You brought me breakfast?”
“Coffee, too. Don’t forget the coffee.” Jacob slid onto the bed and kissed her shoulder before reaching for a mug. “It’s the least I could do. I know you can’t function without it.”
Rachel never knew he’d noticed anything about her. She took the steaming cup from his hands and sipped. Just the way she liked it. She moaned in satisfaction and he laughed.
“Remember that morning you tried to unpack the cutlery without caffeine? You put my knives in the refrigerator drawer.”
She smiled and took another sip. “I didn’t know it was a fridge.”
It was all so surreal. Jacob hadn’t left her. He’d made her coffee and brought her pastries and walked in abs flexing with a grin on his face. The man was incredible and so far out of her league, it wasn’t funny. A frown tugged her smile away.
“What’s with the sad face?”
“Just thinking about today. I should finish up the last of the assignment this afternoon.”
“So?”
She focused on the steam from her mug. “Then I’ll have to pack and whatnot. I should be out of here in the morning.”
Jacob set his coffee on the tray and reached out. His fingers landed on her chin and he pulled her face up until their gazes met. “Stay.”
Rachel pulled back. “You can’t be serious.”
“I am. I want you to stay here, with me.”
She rolled her eyes. “I don’t believe you.”
“Would it help if I wrecked the kitchen? I could throw all your hard work onto the breakfast table. You’d have to start over.”
Rachel bit back a smile. “It would take a week, tops.”
“Maybe a remodel? I’m not a hundred percent sold on the office. You could relocate it to another space.” He took the mug from her hands and set in on the tray. “I could move every few months. Buy a new place and a bunch of stuff just so you put it all away.”
“I’m not going to be an organizer with benefits, Jacob.”
He smiled. “Then how about just benefits?” He reached out and tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. “Stay with me, Rachel. I’m not ready to let you go.”
She couldn’t believe all of this was real. The weeks she’d spent fantasizing about this very moment, all the little conversations they’d had leading up to this. Last night when they discovered so much more…
“This isn’t the end, Rachel. It’s a beginning. Our beginning.” He trailed his hand down her cheek and she leaned into his palm. “Say you’ll stay.”
She knew what she wanted. She only needed the courage to say it. At last, she nodded. “I’ll stay.”
Jacob leaned in and his lips brushed hers. “Breakfast can wait. I’ve cleared my whole schedule today.”
“There’s still the rest of this room to unpack.”
“It can wait. I can’t.” Jacob slipped his hand beneath the sheet and tugged Rachel closer. His lips kissed a trail from her cheek to her neck and across her collarbone. “Besides, I can’t stop thinking about you and my ties.”
“Really? How so?”
“You, wrapped up in all that silk. Moaning in pleasure.”
Rachel smiled. “You’ll have to figure out how the rack I installed works first.”
“Thankfully I have you to help me.”
Jacob pulled her down onto the bed and Rachel let go of the last of her worries. He was true to his word. He wanted her to stay.
She ran her fingers over his bare skin. Jacob Sinclair would be more than just a fantasy. More than a billionaire she got to ogle and mess around with one night. He would be hers.
Rachel smiled and backed off the mattress. Her knees landed on the soft rug beneath the bed and Jacob’s eyebrows knitted.
“What are you doing?”
“Something I’ve wanted to do for weeks. Come here.” She reached for his hand and dragged him over until his legs hung off the bed.
“You don’t need to—”
Rachel raised an eyebrow. “I’m not your employee any longer, Mr. Sinclair. Now take those pants off and let me have my way with you.”
Jacob grinned and grabbed his pants by the waist before sliding them down his hips. His cock caught on the waistband and Rachel licked her lips. She hadn’t been this bold in bed in forever.
Something about Jacob. The way he looked at her. The way his cock bobbed in the air as he wrestled his pants to the floor.
She bit her lip and leaned in. The first taste was always the best. With her eyes trained on his face, she licked across his tip, lapping up the bead of fluid as Jacob’s eyes rolled shut.
That’s it. Give in.
Her lips slid down his shaft and Rachel closed her eyes, reveling in the heat and thickness of his cock. Jacob twisted the sheets beside his thighs as she stroked and sucked, groaning as she used her tongue to lap up the underside of his shaft.
She still couldn’t believe how her life had changed. How Jacob had opened her up to a whole new world of love and sex and pure fucking bliss. His hands tore through her hair and before she knew it, he’d dragged her back up onto the bed.
“You keep doing that and I’m never going to make it.”
Rachel swelled with pride. “Isn’t that the point?”
Jacob fell back on the mattress and guided her until she straddled him. “No. Ride me, Rachel. I want to look in your eyes when you come.”
She did his bidding, rising up to position her body before sinking down upon his length. Oh, God. Lowering herself, Rachel’s body swallowed Jacob’s cock, inch by delicious inch. Her arousal coated his shaft as she ground her clit against his body.
A wave of pleasure rocked her and she picked up speed, bouncing up and down like a twenty-five cent ride at the carnival, shaking the tray and the mugs of coffee.
Jacob groaned and reached up to stroke her bare skin, hands flying over her thighs and ass, up her belly and back down. “I love you, Rachel.”
She moaned as the beginnings of her orgasm took over. “I love you too, Jacob.”
As the words tumbled from her lips, she came, gripping his shaft so tight, he followed, coating her trembling walls in his release.
With a last burst pleasure, she fell on top of him and smiled against his chest. She might have unpacked his boxes, but Jacob had opened up all on his own. Who knew organization could be the key to a man’s heart?
