Trust Me, I Hate You Page 7

by Romeo Alexander

“You know what, you’re absolutely right, Sean. I’ll just fuck off,” Aidan said, turning away and making for the door.

Sean closed his eyes, rubbing his forehead as he tried not to let his guilt get the better of him. There had been no need for Aidan to approach him like that, especially considering they weren’t even close to being friends. The more Sean thought about it, the more Ricardo’s angry words came back to him.

Had Aidan been trying to make a friendly gesture?

“Damn it,” Sean growled, pushing himself out of the booth to hurry after Aidan.

“Hey!” the bartender yelled at him.

“You’ve got my card, I’ll be back,” Sean snapped at him as he hurried out onto the street.

Glancing around, he searched for Aidan, not even sure what he was doing. It wasn’t like he and Aidan were ever going to be friends, the two of them seemed to mix like water and oil. But, either because Ricardo had primed Sean to feel guilty, or because some part of him believed Aidan had been trying, even for that one moment, to reach out, he couldn’t let things stay the way they were.

He spotted the man walking down the sidewalk and hurried toward him. “Aidan!”

Aidan stopped at the mouth of an alley, turning on one heel to stare at Sean. “What the hell do you want now, Sean? You wanted me to fuck off, so that’s what I’m doing. Or is this your way of trying to get me to have another fistfight with you? Is that what you want, well there’s a nice dark alley over here we can have it out in, no one has to know.”

Sean watched him walk past the mouth of the alley and gesture around dramatically. Sean groaned, following after him, wondering why Aidan had to make everything so damn difficult.

  Aidan scoffed. “Jesus, seriously?”

“Would you shut up for one goddamn minute?” Sean asked, temper bubbling.

Aidan gave an ugly snort. “Really? You’re the one who wanted me gone. You’re the one who’s wanted me gone this whole damn time. Now you’ve chased me down the street after trying to run me into the ground repeatedly. What the fuck am I supposed to think, Sean?”

“That’s not what this...just, listen to me,” Sean said, struggling.

Aidan’s eyes flashed, nostrils flaring. “Or what? You’ll run me through the Gauntlet carrying two people’s equipment? You’ll make me do push-ups until my arms fall off? You’ll get pissed off and hit me over another accident? What?”

Sean’s control weakened, his temper boiling to the surface, and he surged forward. Taking hold of the collar of Aidan’s shirt, he shoved the man back, slamming him against the wall. Aidan grunted, holding his hands against the wall and keeping them there as he stared back at Sean.

“Not like that, huh?” Aidan asked in a low voice.

  “It’s...not.”

Aidan tilted his head back, exposing the side of his neck as he looked up at Sean with arrogant disbelief. Sean had accidentally popped a couple of the top buttons on Aidan’s shirt when he shoved him, exposing the sun-kissed skin beneath, and the muscles that rose and fell with every heavy breath. Sean had seen Aidan’s naked body covered in water before, but somehow, the sight of his partially exposed chest and the stretch of his neck was even more arousing.

  “It’s not,” Sean repeated.

He was hard, so hard he could feel his cock straining against the front of his jeans and pressing against Aidan’s hips. Sean could smell the scent of cologne coming off Aidan, something a little spicy, but infinitely rich, and Sean drew in the erotic scent with a deep breath. Aidan shifted his body, eyes widening as he moved his hips forward, feeling Sean’s cock.

“Oh shit, are you…” Aidan began, licking his bottom lip unconsciously.

Sean froze, even as his brain screamed that he needed to get away. He needed to let go of Aidan, walk away, and pretend it never happened. He needed to walk back into the bar, finish his drink, and maybe order enough to forget anything like this had ever happened. Then he could pass out back at his apartment, waking up the next day and going on with his life as though he had never pinned Aidan against the brick wall of a bar and got turned on.

Instead, he yanked Aidan toward him and kissed him hard.

  Aidan

Aidan had braced himself for another shove, knocking his head against the wall and stunning him. He’d been ready for the punch that would be aimed at his jaw, maybe even in an attempt to knock him out. Aidan had even considered the possibility that Sean might try to knee him in the gut, taking the wind from his sails, before following up with something else.

But he hadn’t been expecting the kiss.

He went rigid as Sean’s mouth crashed against his, the man’s strong fingers curling even tighter against his chest as he held him. Aidan stood there, unable to move as he felt Sean’s body tense against him, his lips fierce and demanding. In one moment of clarity, he could feel Sean’s cock pressing against him, raging hard, thick, and demanding attention. And during it all, pure shock kept him utterly still.

And then Sean pushed him away, breaking the kiss with a gasp as he stumbled a step back from him. Aidan barely noticed his head thumping softly against the wall, catching himself before he fell. He looked around the dim space that made up the alley, absently wondering how they managed to keep the place so clean.

“That...that shouldn’t have happened,” Sean sputtered out, hands clenched at his side.

Aidan turned his gaze up to him, eyes wide. “You...kissed me.”

Sean stiffened. “Look. Just...let’s pretend it didn’t happen.”

Aidan’s heart pounded, and he knew there was a great deal of sense to what Sean was offering. Neither of them could afford to be doing something as stupid as making out in the shadows of a bar. All things considered, Aidan knew better than to get involved with someone else, especially someone who was technically his superior. He’d already been screwed over because someone had wanted to fuck him, the idea of actually fucking someone, especially someone who so adamantly despised him in the way Sean did was the worst idea Aidan thought he’d ever had.

Aidan advanced on Sean, shoving him against the wall behind them. “Fuck that.”

Not sure if he was talking to Sean or himself, Aidan gripped Sean by the collar and yanked him down into another kiss. This time, he made sure to press himself forward, parting his lips to taste the liquor on Sean’s tongue. The other man gave a startled grunt, but his hands closed around Sean’s waist, gripping him tight.

Before Aidan knew what was happening, he felt himself being swung around and slammed against the wall again. Pain flared in his back as Sean shoved him hard, but the sound that escaped his lips was a low groan of pleasure. Not to be outdone, Aidan reached out, curling his fingers in Sean’s hair that was just long enough to get hold of, and yanked him down into a renewed kiss.

Sean gasped, shoving his hips against Aidan, pinning him to the wall completely. Aidan’s head spun as he felt Sean’s cock press against his hips firmly, somehow harder than it had before. All thoughts of how bad an idea it was were gone from Aidan’s head as he shoved his hand between them, cupping Sean’s cock and giving it a squeeze.

“Fuck,” Sean groaned, shoving against Aidan’s hand.

“That’s the idea,” Aidan shot back, nipping at Sean’s bottom lip.

Sean jerked his head back. “The fuck, how?”

Aidan chuckled, finding the button to Sean’s jeans and undoing it with a flick of his wrist. Freeing his other hand from Sean’s hair, he reached into his own jean’s pocket and pulled out two foil packets. Aidan held them up, spreading them apart, so even in the dim light, Sean could see that one was a condom, and the other a packet of lube.

“I told you I was out trying to get laid,” Aidan said, shoving his hand down the front of Sean’s pants and wrapping his fingers around the man’s cock.

Any argument Sean might have had faded into a low groan of pleasure as Aidan pulled his cock free. In a dark alley between two buildings was not the place fo
r a lot of foreplay, but Aidan took a moment to run his fingers over Sean’s cock. From that one touch, he could tell it was an impressive piece of equipment, and considering the mood, he was sure he was going to feel it.

Sean glanced toward the mouth of the alley, where people continued walking the well-lit streets several feet away. Someone would have to walk down the alley or shine a light down it to see them, but Aidan was more than aware of how precarious their situation was.

Sean let out a growl, taking hold of Aidan again and flipping him around, pressing his front against the wall. “Give me those.”

Aidan chuckled, holding them up. “Just can’t resist.”

  “Do you ever shut up?”

  “Only when I’m moaning.”

“Fuck,” Sean muttered, though that particular curse sounded more shaky and aroused than annoyed to Aidan’s ears.

Aidan decided not to push his luck any further and held himself back from making another comment. Instead, he focused on the sound of crinkling as Sean fussed with the foil packets at the same time as Aidan fought with the front of his pants. He’d only just managed to undo the button and zipper before thick fingers gripped the waistline of both his pants and underwear, yanking them down without fanfare or warning.

Aidan smirked, arching his back, so his bare ass pressed against Sean. “Demanding much?”

A hand came up, pressing against the back of his neck and holding him in place. “Hold still.”

Normally, the sound of Sean giving him an order was about as attractive as a kick in the face. But the low, dangerous growl, filled with lust, and the sudden presence of a slick, condom covered cockhead pressing against him was enough to make it one of the best things Aidan had heard in a long time. His breath came out in a low gasp when Sean’s other hand clamped down on his waist, locking him in place.

  And then came the pressure.

Sean wasn’t too careful about it, the mixture of anxiety about being caught, his anger at Aidan, and his sudden lust for him, made him as impatient as Aidan felt. After the first steady push against Aidan’s ass achieved nothing, Sean shifted, holding Aidan completely still and shoving forward with more force.

A low gasp escaped Aidan’s lips as Sean’s thick head breached his body, stretching him wide as he sank in a couple of inches. Managing to clamp down on the rest of the sound, Aidan breathed out hard. Sean slid forward another inch, working his way in even deeper, his own breath labored as he felt Aidan’s body gripping him tightly.

Every inch added to the burn flaring up from where their bodies met. Sean wasn’t lacking, and his cock was spreading Aidan’s ass with ruthless determination. It hurt, but Aidan reveled in it, shoving his hips back to drive Sean even deeper inside him. The act brought a strangled grunt from Sean, whose body went rigid as he felt himself shoved into Aidan’s body without warning.

“Fuck,” Sean swore, his grip biting deep into Aidan’s hips.

Aidan moaned as Sean shoved himself in the last few inches, sending another wave of pleasure through him as his body burned where they met. Pain and pleasure mingled and met in a combination as explosive as his hate and desire for the man now embedded inside him. It was wrong, they shouldn’t have been doing this, and one of them should have backed away a long time ago.

The warning bells were easily shoved aside and silenced as he felt Sean move, pulling his hips back only to bury himself again with a brutal thrust. Aidan gasped, his body screaming with sensation as the man behind him didn’t bother to wait and shoved into him again. The sound of their skin meeting was a sharp crack, slapping against one another as Sean began to build up a heavy rhythm.

Aidan arched into the thrusts, making sure Sean got as deep as he possibly could with every harsh push into him. He had to brace himself against the wall in front of him as Sean slammed into him from behind. His cock strained, pulsing with his rapid heartbeat.

If violation could be consensual, that’s exactly what he would have called the desperate, mindless rutting they were doing in that dark alley. Their grunts and gasps, while muffled to avoid drawing attention, mingled and molded together. Aidan reached behind him, gripping the back of Sean’s head, needing something to hold other than the wall in front of him.

His body cried out, pain and desire twisting inside him as Sean’s cock filled him over and over again. Stomach tightening, legs going taut, Aidan was pushed to the edge of the abyss of pure pleasure and then shoved over it with an almighty thrust. Unable to restrain himself, he tightened his grip on the back of Sean’s head, twisting his own around, and pulling the man into a desperate, feverish kiss.

Voice muffled, he cried out against Sean’s lips as the most potent orgasm he’d ever experienced crashed over him. His cock jerked, spurting, and painting the wall in front of him. His body sang with pleasure, bearing down around Sean’s cock as it continued its desperate thrusts inside him.

Sean’s cry mingled with Aidan’s, the sounds bouncing off one another at the meeting of their lips. With a last shove, Sean buried himself completely, his cock throbbing as he poured into the condom. Aidan’s own cries grew even more desperate as he felt the pulse of Sean’s cock deep inside him, filling him completely.

Aidan sagged, the last of his strength seeping out of him as his orgasm left him weak. From behind, Sean pulled free from him with a tenderness and care that surprised Aidan. His body ached from the punishment it had taken in the last few minutes, and faintly he noticed not only the pain coming from his ass, but his shoulders, chest, and arms. There would no doubt be more bruises, but those at least would be easy to pass off considering how hard training had been lately.

  “That…” Sean began, turning away.

Aidan let out a mirthless huff of laughter. “Was Something.”

His head spun as he used one hand to reach down and replace his clothing. From the start, he and Sean had done nothing but bump and crash against one another. On the one hand, he knew that Sean had been stuck in a cycle of his own suffering and hurt, and on the other hand, he also found he couldn’t stand being tolerant of a man who treated him like a burden. Sean saw him as nothing but trouble, not even bothering to hide it, and the two of them had been at each other’s throats from the start.

And now he’d allowed the man to fuck him, and not just fuck him, but screw him against the wall of some random bar. The act had been so desperate and needy, as though the two of them had been waiting to do it.

“A mistake,” Sean said, buttoning his pants and avoiding Aidan’s eyes.

Oh, well, Aidan couldn’t argue with that and wasn’t going to try. Neither of them had seen it coming, or at least, Aidan hadn’t. How did something like mutual distaste and hatred turn into something so desperate and lust-filled? He’d heard of hate fucking before, but he’d never heard how it could throw someone into confusion and worry.

What the hell were they going to do now?

Sean looked anywhere but at him as Aidan turned around. “Report tomorrow afternoon. There are more exercises to run through.”

Aidan couldn’t find it in himself to throw a quip at Sean, though doing so might have helped his own nerves. Instead, he nodded, silently giving Sean the permission he needed to run. Sean glanced at him, his eyes meeting Aidan’s and lingering for what felt like an eternity. In them, Aidan read fear, confusion, and worry, all before Sean darted away from him, never once looking back.

  “Well, shit,” Aidan muttered.

  9

  Sean

How long he’d been standing outside the door to Aidan’s barrack’s room, Sean wasn’t sure. The only blessing was that no one had either come out of any of the other rooms or entered the barracks since he’d taken up his impromptu vigil. Sean had no idea what the hell he would say if someone found him standing outside the man’s room like some sort of stalker.

Sean didn’t want to be standing outside like an idiot, but he knew he needed to talk to Aidan. He wasn’t sure if Aidan would take the incident and run with it, but it
was possible. As Aidan’s commanding officer, Sean’s ass could have been grass if Aidan went to report him, and Sean didn’t want that to be a possibility. He needed to talk to Aidan, and he needed to do it as calmly as he could before things got out of control.

Well, more out of control than they already were.

Forcing himself to take a calming breath, he raised his hand to knock and hesitated. What the hell was he going to say to the man? They had both been there, and both knew what happened. There was no mistaking it, and Sean could still feel the press of Aidan’s hips beneath his grip, and around his…

  Then the door swung open.

Aidan started forward, stuttering to a halt and lurching backward when he saw someone in his way. Dark blue eyes widened, catching the light and looking like the sea at twilight. Then a shadow crossed Aidan’s face as he recognized who it was, and some part of Sean cringed away from the anger he saw there.

“Oh. You,” Aidan said, looking him over.

  “Uh, hey,” Sean began.

Aidan continued to stare at him for a long, drawn-out moment. “Need something?”

Sean cleared his throat, saying the best thing he could think of, “You got a second? I think we should talk.”

Aidan’s eyes were wary, but he didn’t make a smart comment, and he backed away from the doorway to let Sean in. Not willing to look a gift horse in the mouth, Sean hurried into the room. It was set up like most of the rooms in the barracks, with two desks, a bunk bed, and a light fixture overhead. Aidan hadn’t bothered to decorate it with any posters or pictures, and from the looks of it, he didn’t have a roommate either.

“You could probably request being moved into one of the apartments, you know. There’s usually a free spot or two on base that General Winter keeps open just in case.”
