[1] Juul told me, “My mother was inconsolable after dad died and I was afraid to leave her alone, and had to go to Montreal to do two series. So I made her quit her job at the bank, made it very clear she’d never work as a registered nurse again, and that she’d really enjoy working 18 hours a day, seven days a week, and we both got on the plane. The rest is history; she was the best assistant I ever had, but it meant we lived together, worked together, and travelled together, and that’s a whole other story for my book.”
[2] On a personal note this was one of my introductions to both Candy and Prior. My brother, Dave, used to watch this film religiously. It didn’t do as well as it should have at the box office, although it did turn a profit, and is often underrated by critics who assumed the film should be funnier considering the leads. For me it’s a perfect Sunday afternoon feel good film – Tracey
[3] Later on, after John had passed away, Levine campaigned to get John his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, something that has not yet happened and something I will campaign for once this book is out. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this accolade – Tracey
