“I had no idea. You’re nowhere near as broken as I am.” She sounded sad and I hated it.

“I’m just as broken as you are, Bellamy. Why do you think it was so easy for my heart to call out to yours? Like attracts like and we’re more alike than you’ll ever know.” I let her process and unpack everything while I sat there wondering how this would shift our relationship.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” She asked again.

“I planned to tell you. I just didn’t know when the time would be right.”

“How could someone ever give you up? You’re such an amazing person, Cyrus.”

“So are you. I don’t know why or how your mother could have ever let you go.”

She shook her head vehemently. “I’m not like you. I’m not special. My mother gave me up because drugs were more important and I was a burden.” Tears dripped from her long lashes as she stared at her hands.

“You’re not a burden and people like us can’t sit around wondering why our parents did what they did. I don’t think about my biological parents at all. When you mention me growing up with both parents, I don’t even try to go back to the time before that. I grew up with my parents. They loved me and took care of me and that’s the only thing I choose to remember.

Just because I went through trauma and it shaped me doesn’t mean I have to constantly bring it up. You don’t have to do that either. You are not your trauma. Make your life what you want to make it.”

Bellamy didn’t say anything instead she moved off of the bed and walked out of the room. It felt like my heart slowed down the moment she was out of my sight. The invisible string that tethered us together pulled me to my feet so that I could follow behind her.

I found my beautiful girl sitting in front of her newfound favorite place, the crackling fire. I sat beside her and for a while, we were silent. No words were needed. I knew she didn’t hate me. I don’t think she’d ever be capable of that.

Instead, I felt curiosity pouring off her.

“I want to start my life from this point going forward. I want these moments to be what I reflect on more than anything,” she finally said. My heart skittered in my chest to make up for lost time when it thumped so slowly. “You make me happy Cyrus and knowing that you’re just like me in so many ways makes me happier. Makes me feel like I’m not so alone all the time.”

“You’re never alone, Bellamy. Not as long as I’m here.” Things fell silent again then she threw a punch, hitting my arm. I rubbed the sore spot and frowned at her. “What the hell was that for?” I laughed in the next second.

“You’re supposed to go make sure Walrus Wilson isn’t going to press charges. For punching him in the mouth.”

I groaned and leaned back on my elbows. “Okay, I’m gonna go in the morning before anyone else gets there,” I promised her. I knew she’d hold me to it.

  ***

I woke up the next morning, thinking I’d slip out of the house without waking Bellamy up but I was mistaken. The minute my foot hit the floor, she sat up rubbing the remnants of sleep from her eyes.

“Are you leaving?” She swung her feet around and stood at the same time I did. I wasn’t getting out of this meeting without her being by my side. She made that plain as day.

“Yeah, I’m getting ready to head up to Cross Point. The only people there now are pastors and the secretary.”

“Mmm,” Bellamy grunted and headed to the bathroom. I tipped my head to the side and watched her perfect ass as it went by. “She likes you so much.”

“She does but she knows I’m not interested.” I walked up behind her as she brushed her teeth and pressed my soft cock against her ass. It wasn’t soft for long.

“Does she know you have a girlfriend?” Bellamy asked after she spat toothpaste into the sink.

“Nah. Not yet. Do you want me to tell her this morning?” I slid her sleep shirt up until the cotton bunched around her little waist, then I gripped her ass in my hands. Bellamy hand more than enough ass for two handfuls. She had the kind of curves that made women green with envy.

I smiled like a kid in a candy store when she bent over the sink, poking her ass out for me. “No, I want her to smell me all over you if she tries to get close. So before we go to church…fuck me.” The view from where I stood was perfect and clearly, my dick thought so too. It stood up nice and tall for her, and in seconds I was inside my favorite place.

Watching Bellamy make sexy faces in the mirror made me dig harder and deeper until her mouth hung open and no sound could escape. I made her look at herself in the mirror too so she could see what I saw. So she could see how sexy she was and how perfect we looked together.

I’d never had a connection form as quickly as the one between Bellamy and me. I’d been in long-term relationships before and hadn’t felt the type of bond I felt with her. The sex was the cherry on top and Bellamy’s cherry was so fucking sweet.

I couldn’t pull out of her if I wanted to. Whenever I came, it was so forceful and sudden that it left no time for rational decisions. When she felt me shoot my load inside of her, she gave me a sexy crooked grin in the mirror.

“I love when you can’t pull out,” she told me, breathless and beautiful.

“You must like playing with fire then.” I spun her around and kissed her while my hand stayed anchored around her throat.

“Let’s figure out your situation with Kim and then we’ll decide if little pastor babies are a good idea.”

Why couldn’t I have met Bellamy before Kim? I’d give her a thousand kids if she wanted them. I stared at her while she turned on the shower and pulled her shirt off. I was in awe of everything she did. I even loved watching her do the simplest tasks like flat ironing her hair in the morning or smoothing oil on her perfect body after a shower.

I shook the stardust from my eyes and got in the shower with her so we could cut time and get ready to go. It was already Christmas Eve and I wanted my trip to Cross Point to be a short one. I didn’t see the point in trying to smooth things over with Wilson but if it calmed Bellamy down then I’d do it.

  ***

We arrived at Cross Point while it was still dark and the sun was just a thought on the horizon. When I walked into my office, Bellamy sat on the desk and crossed her legs like she owned the entire church. I couldn’t tell if she wore skirts to tempt me or because she knew how good she looked in them.

Either way, I walked over and stood between her thighs, inhaling the floral perfume she loved to wear. “You smell like a whole bouquet,” I told her with my lips pressed against her smooth neck. Remnants of old bruises still lingered and I had to stop myself from putting new ones on her right there in the office.

“Put your nose in the petals when we get home,” she purred. I realized I liked hearing her say home. I liked sharing my space with her and while I wanted her to have her own apartment, I’d be lying if I said it wouldn’t be lonely as hell without her.

“Pastor Cyrus…” Jennifer pushed my office door open without knocking and found my hands around Bellamy’s waist and my lips on her neck. There was no explaining that away. I sighed softly and offered a polite smile.

  “Hey, Jen. How are you?”

“I’m…fine,” she tipped her chin up and cut her eyes at Bellamy. Usually, Jennifer was the epitome of a cheery disposition but I saw jealousy flare to life in her right then. “Why are you here on Christmas Eve? Especially after hearing about the altercation between you and Pastor Wilson.” Jennifer made sure to slide her pointed gaze over to Bellamy again, which drew laughter from the unpredictable flower bomb sitting on my desk.

“Is he here? I need to speak with him,” I said, standing in front of Jennifer so that I blocked her view. I could feel Bellamy’s fuse getting shorter by the second and the last thing I wanted was for her to blow up and cause yet another scene in the church. I was tired of drama.

“I didn’t see him come in but his door is closed now when it was open before. Oh, and we’re not open for p
arishioners yet. Staff only. Our first service will begin soon though. Tell your friend she can wait outside.” I’d never seen Jennifer’s catty side before. It took me by surprise.

“Wow, you must really buy into the fact that this church is holy ground because you feel protected enough to talk to me like you’re crazy. I’m not sure how much these walls are going to protect you when I slam your head into them though.” Bellamy’s arms were folded across her chest and her eyes were narrowed. She was in prime position. I sighed and turned to face her.

  “Not right now, okay?”

“Talk to Miss Jennifer. It’s still Miss, right? You’re still having trouble trying to find someone willing to sabotage their last name by handing it over to you. I want to make sure I didn’t miss anything.”

“Bellamy,” I warned right before Jennifer scurried out of my office. “You’re going to give me a head full of gray hair.”

“You’ll look sexy with it. Now, let’s go see if we can find the walrus. Shouldn’t be too hard.”

“You need to learn how to bite your tongue sometimes,” I sighed as we walked down the hall.

“I’m learning, but she had it coming. I promise I’ll do better in the future but when I’m attacked for no reason, I can’t promise the claws won’t come out.”

I reluctantly nodded my head because how the hell could I tell her not to defend herself when she was met with slick remarks? If there was one thing Bellamy had in spades, it was thick skin. She was able to take it and dish it even better.

“This is his office, right?” Bellamy stopped in front of Wilson’s closed door. He had a huge glass office with his name etched in the door. It was unmistakable.

“Yeah, this is it. Doesn’t look like anyone’s inside,” I said barely above a whisper. There were no lights on and I didn’t see any movement. Bellamy slid her full lips to the side. She was unconvinced. It was written all over her expression.

“Come on, we’ll wait for him in my office,” I told her. Before I could lead her away from Wilson’s door, she turned the knob and walked inside, hitting the lights. I rushed in behind her.

My entire face froze when Wilson’s half-naked body clambered upright from the floor and Mrs. Harrison scrambled from beneath him. Bellamy’s mouth hung open and a scratchy blanket of silence fell over the entire office.

“So you two just come in here and fuck without even locking the door? Wow. By the way, all of this is gross as hell.” Bellamy aimed her manicured nail at her grandmother and shook her head.

“Nobody gave you permission to come in my office!” Wilson boomed while he tried in vain to tuck his shirt over his stomach and into his slacks. I couldn’t help letting out a fit of laughter. What the fuck else could I do after my eyes had seen things there was no way to un-see?

“You should have locked the door, asshole!” Bellamy said, tossing her hand into the air.

“Listen, I just came here to see if you were pressing charges over the fight the other night but um…looks like we interrupted something.”

“Something I think…” Bellamy snapped pictures of Wilson’s wedding ring, which was off his finger and lying on the corner of his desk. “Your wife would love to hear about.” She snapped another picture of Mrs. Harrison’s disheveled clothes and Wilson’s unzipped pants. I took the phone from her just as Wilson lunged for it.

“Yeah, his wife would definitely love to hear all about this shit,” I whistled as I scrolled through Bellamy’s pictures.

“I was going to press charges but I know sometimes tempers get the best of us.” Sweat glittered on Wilson’s forehead. “I’ll drop the charges as long as this stays between us. I mean it. I don’t need that little demon over there leaking those pictures.” He snatched his wedding ring off the desk and jammed it down on his sausage finger.

I eyed the scabbed over gash on Wilson’s lip and scrubbed at my jaw with my hand. “I told you to watch how you speak about Bellamy, right? Or do you need another reminder?” I glanced at the gash again and he straightened up.

“Pastor Cyrus, dear, give me the phone so I can delete those photos.” Mrs. Harrison held out a trembling hand to me that I ignored.

“You can continue to preach here at Cross Point and have your youth group, Cyrus. It’s no big deal. Let’s consider this all a big misunderstanding. Deal?”

“I promise nothing will be said to your wife,” I told him. I couldn’t speak for anything else though. If I got enough girls to come forward willing to talk about the abuse they suffered at the hands of Wilson, then I’d blast his ass to all the authorities.

“Bellamy, take this and go wait in the car,” I placed her phone in her hand and kissed her forehead. Once she was out of the office, I looked at Wilson with enough fury to burn him where he stood.

“I want to know where her mother is,” I demanded in a low voice full of gravel.

“Cyrus, are you sleeping with her? Is that what all this is about? I had my suspicions but…”

“Nothing gets past you, does it, Wilson?”

“What kind of world do we live in where a girl can seduce a man of God?” Mrs. Harrison sighed, sitting in a nearby chair. I looked at her like she was insane because that’s the only explanation there could be for her hypocrisy.

“Joan, I need to speak to Cyrus man to man. Can you wait out there?” She looked like she had venom to spit at him but she obliged with a demure smile like her hair wasn’t a tangled mess and she didn’t have Wilson’s sweat on her body.

“How can you fuck Mrs. Harrison when you know where her stung-out daughter is? When you know you still supply her with drug money then fuck her because you know you can? Are you keeping Bellamy’s mom strung-out?” Questions tumbled out of my mouth like bricks and I hope each one his him square in the fucking face. He deserved it.

His high-back leather chair screamed under his weight when he sat down heftily. “Joan doesn’t give a fuck about Crystal. She wrote her off after she ran away. According to Joan, Crystal Jordan is dead.

Nobody gives a fuck about Crystal. She’s a junkie. You’re wasting your time trying to find her. Are you going to talk some sense into her, Cyrus? Are you going to tell her about her daughter who turned out to be as much of a slut as she is? As her own mother is?

It runs in their family. You can’t save women like them. They’re good to cum in and that’s it. I suggest you get good use out of that tight young pussy while you can then throw her away. She’s used to it, I’m sure.”

I think I blinked twice before I came across Wilson’s desk and slammed my fist into his face. Blood fell across all the papers on his desk like red polka dots. It was the only thing that reeled me in.

“Tell me where Bellamy’s mother is,” I demanded. Tension stiffened my neck and jaw so much it was hard to speak.

Wilson fumbled around on his desk for a pen and wrote down an address on a sticky note smeared with his blood. I snatched it from between his fingers and stormed out, slamming the door behind me. I realized then and there that I wanted no more parts of Cross Point. I was done.

Nothing was worth sharing a space with a monster like Wilson. I’d do whatever I could to make sure he didn’t hurt anyone else. It didn’t matter how long it took.

“Look, you’ve gotta stop punching this man in the mouth. I’m not one to talk since I have a little bit of a temper too but, come on Cyrus.” He looked at me as I set out food on the dining room table for the youth group. We weren’t having much just appetizers and drinks. I made it look like a fancy spread at a restaurant though.

“A little temper?” Cyrus chuckled. I glared as he stole a cracker from my spread. “You’re the definition of temper, Bellamy.”

“I’m calming down thanks to you.” I flashed him a smile that got my ass slapped and grabbed. His heavy palm sent tingles up my thighs.

“Thanks to this dick,” he joked and it made me laugh even harder.

  “You’re such a gentleman,
Cyrus.” I rolled my eyes and finished setting up.

“Yeah, I know, right?” He dodged a hit from me as he took another damn cracker then rushed to answer the ringing doorbell.

Crimson and Declan were the first to arrive with big smiles and rosy cheeks that had been ravaged by the bitter cold air. I was glad Cyrus decided to start a fire.

After I took their coats I gave them hugs. Declan seemed especially shocked. Sometimes there was magic in a little TLC and of course some amazing dick to go with it.

“Who’s this girl? Still sexy as always but much nicer.” Declan tried to pull me in for another hug but Cyrus stepped in with a warning glare. If it hadn’t looked so sexy on him, I would have waved him off. I liked being protected though.

“She’s a girl who’s taken,” Cyrus told Declan with his strong arm hooked around my waist. Hearing and seeing him claim me with no problems pushed a sense of pride through my center. It was warm and it spread out like a bud stretching its petals.

Crimson’s eyes widened as she shoved a cube of cheese in her mouth. “Wait…you two?” She gushed clutching her chest like her heart couldn’t stand it.

“Yo, Pastor Cy! That’s what’s up. Bellamy is bad,” he dragged out his syllables and Cyrus shook his head. He wouldn’t let me go though.

“She’s okay.” Cyrus squeezed my sides then kissed my cheek and somehow we slipped into our own world. I brushed my lips against his and he leaned into me with a slow kiss.

“Wow…go, Pastor Cy.” I heard Crimson said quietly. I turned my head away from the kiss and tried to pretend like I didn’t want to ride Cyrus’ dick into the sunset. “So is this public knowledge or…” Crimson’s eyes darted between Cyrus and me as she waited for an answer.

“If that were me, I’d broadcast that shit to the world,” Declan grinned.

“It’s public knowledge. I don’t hide love,” Cyrus said. We shared a glance for a few beats before the doorbell rang again.
