Saved By a Beast: A Phoenix Pack Urban Paranormal Page 15

“If you mark me, Bliss, you can’t take it back.” He growled, his wolf eyes glowing down at her, but Bliss was too far gone to listen to him. He broke through her orgasm hymen again infiltrating her sphere of release. Her scream was half human, half animal as her juices overflowed too much to stay inside of her. Kellan held her down and fucked her through her orgasm even as her body bucked. He punched the floor hard several times before letting out his own roar of pleasure. His back nearly broke as he filled her guts with his release. Having his release inside her slowed down the remerging of her heat. Kellan flopped on top of her, momentarily drained.

“Oh no.” She groaned slapping herself on the forehead.

“What?” Kellan asked rolling off her and laying next to her.

“I’m sprung.” she sighed. “I just knew it would happen.” Kellan laughed at her.

“Well, you have a few more times to get it,” he said. “Your heat is about to come back in-” Bliss winced in pain as she felt those cramps again. She growled and immediately assumed the next position she wanted. Her face flat against the floor with her ass high up in the air. Kellan sat up and bit her on the ass before assuming the position behind her to fuck all her heating pains away.

  Chapter Fifteen

Bliss was breathing heavily as she rested on her stomach. Kellan was next to her sighing in both exhaustion and pleasure. Bliss had never had this much pleasure in this amount of time before. Her heating lasted for three days, and for three days, she had an insatiable appetite, but Kellan had been there for her, meeting her every need stroke for stroke. Since she’d been in heat for a couple days, Kellan had moved them to the tent out back where he continued to give her release.

“No more pain.” She gasped, realizing her cramps hadn’t started back up. It usually took only about three minutes before the cramps would return, and her moment of relief would be over.

“It’s over,” Kellan said. “You survived the cycle.” Bliss turned over and looked at him.

  “What happens now?” she asked.

“I’m actually not sure. I’ve never experienced a pre-shifter that had a heating cycle before they shifted, but I guess being around Gemma push started your cycle. Now we just wait until the full moon.” Bliss looked away from him for a moment, doubt creeping into her.

“Talk to me,” Kellan said feeling her doubt.

  “Nothing’s wrong,” she said quickly.

“Bliss, we’re mates. I can tell what you’re feeling,” he said. Bliss sucked her teeth but gave in.

“I’m scared.” She admitted. “This whole shifting thing, and being a wolf. The way she made me act three days ago with my anger isn’t me, and to think that maybe some things about myself will change all because I’m a wolf is terrifying.” Kellan turned on his side so he could look at her.

“It’s okay to be afraid,” he said. “I’m not gonna bullshit you. Shifting for the first time hurts like a bitch. We’ve all went through it, but we all survived, but I had my mother, my father, and my friends. We shifted only days apart, and it was nice to have the support. You’re shifting in my care, Bliss, which means you don’t have to worry. I’ll make sure to take care of you.” Bliss found tremendous comfort in his words, but he didn’t have to tell her; Bliss just felt safe around him. She always had.

“You always seem to be so in control of things, Kellan. If you were meant to be an alpha, how come you were all alone at first? How come you were an omega? That’s what you call a lone wolf, right?” Kellan hadn’t wanted to tell her before, but after having been inside her he didn’t imagine keeping secrets from his mate.

“My parents were the alpha pair of the pack we all came from. I was their only pup, and with two dominant parents, it was only right that I was a dominant wolf myself. All while growing up, I knew that one day I’d be an alpha. Either my father would retire, or I’d move on and form my own pack. That’s just how it worked, but I never thought I would be forced to be an alpha because my parents were killed.” Bliss gasped and ran her hands through his beard.

  “I’m so sorry,” she said.

“It’s not you to blame,” he replied. “It’s all Maverick’s doing.”

“That son of a bitch.” She gritted. “What’d he do?”

“The only wolf that could kick a wolf out of a pack is the alpha. I always told my father Maverick always gave me a funny feeling. The way he went around flirting with women and being too forceful, but my father trumped it up to be just his personality.” Kellan paused to shake his head.

“He brought these strange men into our pack. I sensed trouble immediately, and I wouldn’t let them get into our territory. I wasn’t the enforcer or a beta, but as the son of the alpha, I held a certain power. That, however, didn’t matter. I fought as best as I could, and the next thing I know, I felt this little prick, and then I was on the ground, unable to move.”

  “What was it?”

“Wolfsbane. Gunshots can wound us, but even if we get shot in the heart, it can’t kill us unless it’s a silver bullet. But wolfsbane? If you give a wolf enough of it, it’ll kill us for sure, and I thought I was going to die in that moment. Sometimes, I wish I did.”

“I’m almost afraid to ask what happened.” Kellan rolled over onto his back so he could look up at the top of the tent.

“Once I was poisoned, I was dragged back to the center of the territory. Maverick had poisoned my father as well, and he was being held down, then Maverick raped my mother in front of the both of us before killing her, and then, when he was done, he turned around and killed my father.” Bliss kept quiet. Instead of feeling too remorseful because then he would feel it, Bliss sent him encouragement and comfort. He took a deep breath before looking at her.

“I’m not sure why he didn’t kill me afterwards, but I guess it was because he wanted me to live with what I had seen, and he kind of won that battle. Knowing I couldn’t help my father or my mother, I couldn’t look my pack members in the eye. I was supposed to become alpha, but Maverick took over, and I didn’t feel like I had the right to be the alpha of any pack, especially one I let down the way I did, so I left.”

“You know that wasn’t your fault, right? You were poisoned. What were you supposed to do?” Kellan shrugged at her question.

“You’re an alpha now, Kellan. The wolves here trust you. I trust you.” He gave her a small smile.

“I’ve learned that running from the problem isn’t going to help.”

“So, then you’ve overcome your fears in being an alpha. After what Maverick did to your parents, and your whole pack had a bad experience with Maverick, why don’t you kill him?”

“I’m not a killer, Bliss. People read shifter books, and it makes us seem like we’re this kill or be killed type of people, and we’re not. Like Rita said, killing to be an alpha is an old tradition; no one has done it since Maverick. We’ve lost the need to kill and for me to kill a man.”

“So, are there laws governing shifters?” Bliss asked.

“We have a small national council of elder wolves. But I won’t say that they enforce any laws or make new ones. They just try to keep tradition alive.”

“Well, if he’s not going to face any punishment for what he’s doing, then how are we going to get him to stop? Ask him nicely? Go to the human police and say he’s attacking and attempting to rape female shifters?” Kellan hadn’t yet thought about a way of ending Maverick’s reign, so maybe killing him was the only option.

“Kellan, I respect you, but like I said, if you don’t kill him, then I will.” Bliss looked at him fiercely. Oddly, a carnal need began filling his gut. There was just something sexy about her determination.

“You know I won’t let you go into no kind of battle like that, especially knowing that Maverick would rip you apart in less than two minutes. My mother was an alpha female, and her will and power still wasn’t enough to face him. I’m not prepared to lose you like I lost her.” Bliss felt his arousal and saw his wolf in her head pacing arou
nd dominantly. Her wolf responded by laying on her back again in a submissive pose. He must have seen her wolf as she was seeing his because his impressive shaft began to swell as his nostrils flared as he smelled her arousal. There was no fronting or hiding it. Bliss knew from the first moment he entered her that she was gonna be whipped, and then that damn piercing he had rubbed against her G-spot. She was gone after that. There was no questions or denial. Kellan Sebastian could fuck, and she was sprung.

In one motion, Kellan rolled onto his back, and Bliss swung her leg over his hips, straddling him. He held her up by the hips so she could slide down his shaft slowly. Once she was comfortable, she placed her hands on his chest and slowly rocked her hips back and forth.

“You’re not in heat anymore.” He huffed as her tightness gripped him.

  “I know,” she moaned.

“So, this means you’re willingly fucking me although you don’t want to mate me?” he asked.

“So, are you going to fuck me or just keep talking?” She growled. Kellan sat up and kept going until she was on her back. He dug his teeth into the flesh of her shoulders, effectively holding her down as he slammed into her. In return, she dug her nails deep into his back and drew it along his skin, scratching him. He loved the feel of her claws embedded into his skin. He just wished he could mark her, but holding her down and fucking her to the depths of pleasure would have to be enough, and when she began to orgasm, he had to punch the ground again before he gave in and bit her to mark her. He came hard with her, pumping into her sweet pussy until she milked him dry completely. Bliss sighed, and the tension on her body released as she went lax.

“Damn,” she said. “Can’t believe I’m sprung.” Kellan chuckled as he pulled out of her.

“It’s not such a bad idea to be sprung off your mate, Bliss,” he said. Bliss looked at him. Her face became serious.

“I realize we’re mates, Kellan, even if I have some reservations because of what I went through with Maverick, and really, he’s the reason why I’m afraid of being committed to another man. He’s keeping me from you, Kellan. You won’t let me kill him, so as my mate, I’m starting to expect that you would avenge me and take care of Maverick.” Kellan understood what she was saying, but he was going to have time to think it over. She got up slowly and stretched.

“I’m gonna go shower,” she said. Kellan smirked at the site of his bite marks all over her. It wasn’t a mark that would last forever, but it would take a couple of hours to heal. Perfect to soothe his wolf that everyone would know he was going to claim her.

“What you smirkin’ at?” she asked.

“Nothing.” He shrugged. Bliss looked him up and down before pulling on his t-shirt and leaving the tent.

  ********

“Well, look who’s finally back,” Kyra said as Bliss came into the kitchen. All the women of the pack were having a late breakfast when Bliss finally emerged. She smelled freshly showered, but it didn’t mask Kellan’s scent all over her, and it didn’t make it better that she was covered in bite marks.

“So, tell us all about it,” Kyra said.

“All about what?” Bliss asked. “There’s nothing to tell.” She saw Gemma and smiled brightly.

“Gemma! How are you?” Bliss asked.

“I’m great! It was the worst couple days of my life, but now I’m alright, and now that I am officially an adult, my parents are ready to move to the older pack. Kind of like they’re in retirement or something, so I’m officially on my own here.” Bliss noticed that Gemma looked a little bit different as well. She did have curves before, but now she was completely curved out, and her breasts were larger than they were before.

“I’m still getting used to them,” Gemma said, cupping her breasts noticing that Bliss was staring at them.

“Sorry, don’t mean to stare. You look amazing, and your skin is glowing.”

“Well, I guess this is the real me. It just took until puberty for it all to fill out.”

“I wonder if I’ll get me some curves like that when I shift.” Bliss wondered.

“Oh, please.” Kyra jumped in waving her off. “You know you look good, and apparently, Kellan loves it.” She winked at Bliss, but Bliss wasn’t sure why, and then when she looked at Rita and Gemma, both women were avoiding eye contact with her.

  “What’s the matter?” Bliss asked.

“Have you looked in the mirror yet?”

“No. Not like Kellan has many mirrors around here.” Kyra pulled out a compact mirror from her bag on the counter. Bliss gasped when she looked at herself.

“That asshole!” she exclaimed. “That’s why his clown ass was smirking when I left his tent!” Now Bliss could understand their stares, and it made her a little embarrassed.

“Don’t worry about it,” Kyra said. “It’s a wolf thing.” Bliss looked at Rita again.

“Look Bliss, I don’t mean to come off in a certain way,” Rita said.

  “Me either,” Gemma replied.

“So, what’s up? The both of you look uncomfortable or something.”

“It’s not that.” Rita sighed. “It’s just-I’m happy for you and Kellan. He deserves a female, and after Maverick, you deserve a good male. I’m just upset that I can’t have the same thing with my mate.”

“Me too,” Gemma said. “My mate ran from me.”

“I’m real sorry that’s happening. I don’t understand this mating thing, and me and Kellan, we aren’t even official. I haven’t said I wanted to mate with him.”

“If you’re sorry that this is happening to us, Bliss, then you wouldn’t hesitate to mate Kellan,” Rita said. “Unless he’s given you a reason not to?” All the women looked at her then with brows raised. Bliss knew the look.

“You ain’t gonna get no details from me.” Bliss laughed. “Just know that it’s good.”

“Oh, come on! Let us know how our alpha gets down!” Kyra exclaimed. “You know we’ve all been wondering.”

“I mean he’s not sm--” The front door opened, and Kellan walked into the house. All the women looked at him immediately. As the alpha, Rita, Kyra and Gemma bowed their heads, but Bliss did not. She did however smile at him remembering the way his hands felt on her body and how his body felt inside her body. He was shirtless, and his jeans slung low enough for her imagination to take off. She heard snickering as she watched Kellan walk by. He winked at her and continued through the house. When his back faced them, the wolves gasped at the long claw marks deep in his back.

“Oh, my God was that my claw marks?” She gasped as he disappeared. Bliss turned to look at the other women.

“So, what were you saying?” Rita asked. “He wasn’t small or something?” She teased. Bliss covered her face and laughed.

“Welcome back to the world,” Jayce said when Kellan joined them outside.

“I’ll make sure to make fun of you when you have to deal with a wolf in heat,” Kellan said. Jayce clapped him on the back.

  “Updates,” Kellan said.

“We’ve been patrolling like you’ve asked. No scent or sight of anyone dealing with Maverick. I’ve also located a small elderly pack willing to take our pack members who want a fresh start away from this madness. They are located a good distance away from all this trouble. I’ve set up traveling arrangements to get them to a rendezvous point of the other pack, and since Gemma has matured, Gabe and Gina have agreed to move onto the next pack.” Jayce informed him. Kellan nodded.

“I’ve been looking at the papers your father left behind. In a couple of them there was mention of a piece of land not too far from here, and there’s been a complete payment off of the land. I found the ownership certificates. I’ve never been to that area so the only way we can check it out is if we go there physically. I have the coordinates,” Tristan said.

“Perfect. So, Jaxson, you should take the elders to the rendezvous point and get them safely to the other pack. Tristan, you can go check out the land. Bliss is due to shift
by tomorrow night, I need to stay here with her, and Jayce, while I’m handling Bliss I want you to keep patrolling and keep close eyes on the other she-wolves. The moment Bliss shifts and Tristan returns with news of the new location, we’re gonna move. I don’t like staying out here for any longer than we need to. I fear that since Maverick hasn’t attacked yet, he’s waiting for a specific moment.”

“What do you mean?” Jaxson asked.

“He waited until after the full moon to attack my parents, and I’m figuring he’s doing the same thing with me. He won’t be able to beat me under the full moon. That’s a fact, and if Bliss wasn’t going to shift ,I would want to launch the attack first.”

“So, what’s the plan? Are we going to kill him or what?” Jayce asked. “Who knows what the fuck he’s gonna be planning.”

“When the time comes, I guess we will find out.”

“I’ll say this…” Jaxson spoke up. “If we don’t kill Maverick and he continues to hurt people, then we will be held accountable for that, because we’re probably the only ones strong enough together to stop him.”

“I know,” Kellan said it. “And quite frankly, if I don’t end up killing him, nothing will stop Bliss from trying to do it herself.”

“And from those claw marks on your back, it seems like little Miss Bliss can be vicious.” Jaxson cracked up. Kellan waved him off.

Before he heard footsteps, he smelled his mate approaching them. He couldn’t quite pay attention to the other she-wolves when his mate’s scent was so potent. She too had glowing wolf eyes.

  “Want something?” Kellan asked her.

Your fat ass dick. She spoke into his mind. Kellan smirked at her.

Think you can handle it, or you gonna keep tapping out?

  Try me, wolf man.

“You know, we can’t hear you two, but we can still feel the arousal energy.” Gemma spoke up.” Kellan and Bliss snapped out of their own world and looked around. Kellan cleared his throat.
