Everyone and Everything Page 8

by William Forde

In the beginning, ‘everyone and everything’ lived side-by-side happily and peacefully, but then one day, a new creature came into the ‘Nature Garden’ and nothing was quite the same ever again.

The new creature was a human being, and when he saw the beauty of the ‘Nature Garden’ and smelled its lovely flowers and breathed in the freshness of its air, he knew that he had found somewhere very special.

So the man decided to settle down in the ‘Nature Garden’ and make it his home. To prevent the man being lonely, he brought a woman into the ‘Nature Garden’ to share his life with him.

At first, the man and the woman ate their own food, which they had brought with them and slept in a big tent. For many months they were happy and very peaceful and ‘everyone and everything’ in the ‘Nature Garden’ forgot that they had strangers living amongst them.

Before long, however, the food that the man and woman had brought with them was used up. They had originally intended to return to the world outside every 12 weeks to bring some food back, but once they had grown to love the ‘Nature Garden’ they dare not leave it, just in case they got lost and were unable to find it again.
