  ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

THE REBELLION CONTINUES, AND I’M grateful to still be here chronicling it for you all. While not much time will have elapsed between the first and second volumes of the Savage Rebellion series for you, the journey to get to this book has felt much, much longer to me, I assure you. Thank you for taking that journey with me, and I hope you’ve got the gas to reach the third and final book (I hope I do too).

There is always a village to acknowledge and thank. My editor, Ed Schlesinger, who joined the rebellion late and did his best to storm the walls with me. My agent, DongWon Song, who planes a mean edge regardless of whether that edge is made of wood or a writer’s existential terror. My wife, Nikki, who is the burning engine of my entire life. My mother, Barbara, who personally hand-sold more copies of Savage Legion than anyone, and I’m sure will do the same for this book. My master of webs, Jack “Helljack” Townsend, who keeps my web presence from being the embarrassing mess it would be if I were in charge of it. Chris McGrath came back and created another phantasmagorically amazing cover illustration for us, and I can’t imagine this series without his artwork accompanying it, complemented by the design talent of John Vario, Jr. Navah Wolfe will always be the spiritual matron of this series, and I miss her and wish her the best. I’d also like to thank my copyeditor for this novel, Lauren Forte, and everyone at Saga Press: Joe Monti, Lauren Jackson, and Madison Penico—thanks for making this all a reality.
