them over thousand of palliums with their hands and tools. They are buildings, fill them with happy Snubs and they are homes, for a building cannot become a home without a family."
Larco could imagine how it was done, he didn't know why, but he just knew, and he imagined the buildings and walkways bustling with Snubs. Nuts, Oaks, Cedars, there was room for all. "Why are there no Snubs?"
"Ah, a long story for anther time. This entire place is made of Quog, a magical metal in the rocks, this place never gets cold, never gets hot, never makes us sick, it has just the right amount of Quog. We left here because of the silly grand council and just one Wobbly, the grand Wobbly. He dived into the dark hole of rainbows and went to a place far away, when he returned he was evil."
Larco didn't know what that was. "You named him evil."
"No, it is an emotion." replied Poo Poo. "He tried to have everything for himself, he thought that everybody should do only as he demanded, I chased him into the black swamp and he perished."
"So why did you move to the jungle." asked Larco.
"Something had come through the dark hole of rainbows behind the grand Wobbly, something far more evil than you could imagine."
Larco was full of questions. "Do you know what it was?"
"Yes," Poo Poo opened his eyes wide shook his body. "It was a human being."
Larco had heard this before, when he had his head in the dark hole of rainbows. "I think I know where they come from." he said.
Poo Poo lent his ear toward Larco. "Tell me."
"The planet Plop Plop, I see it in the dark hole of rainbows and they the beings there say the word human."
"Ohhh." groaned Poo Poo. "You are far braver than I."
"How did the grand Wobbly enter the dark hole of rainbows?"
Poo Poo was full of action. "Ahh, we have work to do, we must all enter the city of Snub Nubbin, and start a school."
Larco recalled. "The grand council spoke of a school, it teaches Snubs beyond the mother tree."
"Yes, the grand council lacked the courage to confront the human and fled into the jungle." replied Poo Poo.
Larco was surprised that an alien had lived in their midst. "The human was here, in Snub Nubbin."
Poo Poo pointed towards a building. "Yes, it has been gone for thousands of palliums, it perished in a very short time."
"Then why have we not returned." asked Larco.
"An emotion, fear. The grand council drained all Snubs of knowledge, so none could ever enter the dark hole of rainbows again. Over thousands of palliums they banned the use of our brain, and things became so dull, even the grand council meant nothing, did nothing and said nothing. They lost the knowledge of making Bok Bok,s and even the location of their own city."
"Why were you banished to the dark side?"
"I started a school in the jungle, not so long ago, the grand council banished me and closed it down. You were in that school Larco, your brain began to think. When the jungle had no room, the grand council were so silly, they couldn't think what to do. They have been the perpetrators of their own doom."
"That's silly." Larco understood silly well now.
"Of course, we must recover." Poo Poo led Larco back to the Bok Bok.
"The mother tree knows our mind because we were once her." remarked Larco. Poo Poo made a funny face, or that's what it looked like to Larco, he had smiled.
"Of course and the Quog, once of the universe, and the Cosmos, gives power to drive our thoughts."
"I shall go in the front of the Bok Bok and take us back to the jungle." said Larco.
Poo Poo smiled again. "We have the biggest brains in the universe and yours is beginning to think, no more dull for you." They climbed in the Bok Bok and Larco took control. As he flew back he knew exactly where he was going, he could remember every little detail, and he liked it.
But there was so much Poo Poo had said Larco didn't understand, but he was keen to find out.
They landed near the glowing cave, and Larco ventured into the dark side, he selected a blue rock, around the same size as the one Poo Poo picked up. He searched the jungle on the sunny side and found a perfect hollow mother tree. Poo Poo watched, he felt very proud of Larco and he knew exactly what that meant. Larco turned the hollow mother tree over, he found he was very strong, and placed the rock in the end of the trunk of the mother tree, and it hummed with delight as it hugged the mother trees frame. He cleaned the hollow of undergrowth, dirt and rocks. He stood back and admired his Bok Bok. He climbed in and invited Poo Poo to join him. They whizzed above the jungle and landed outside the glowing cave, Poo Poo climbed out and into his own Bok Bok. They raced into the sky, swooping over Snubs gaining there attention, Poo Poo was very excited, and he knew exactly what that was.
Larco was feeling strange things he had never experienced before, he didn't know what happiness was, but he liked it. They landed near the dark hole of rainbows in the middle of the jungle, and called a meeting of Snubs near the glowing cave. Some run away, but some stayed and wanted a ride to the cave. Larco couldn't stop admiring his Bok Bok, he was very proud, he didn't know what that was, but he thought he could get used to it.
They raced into the sky transporting Snub's, they had a lot of work to do, they had a sense of purpose.
