A bit more on Prelude to a Wedding and the Wedding Series:

Dear Reader. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading Prelude to a Wedding, and that you’ll next be a guest at Paul and Bette’s wedding – and enjoy Tris and Michael’s story – by reading Wedding Party. That’s the order the stories are meant to be read. But here’s a behind-the-scenes glimpse – that’s not the order I wrote the books. I wrote Wedding Party as a standalone book. A fellow writer read an early version and said, “This is the middle book of a trilogy.” I came right back with, “Oh, no it’s not, because a trilogy needs three books, and I’ve only written one.”

I had logic on my side, but she had the truth on her side. When I went back and looked at Wedding Party again, I saw all sorts of clues to Paul and Bette’s story that my sneaky muse had left me. So I got to work and wrote Book 1 (Prelude to a Wedding) second so they could be released in the right order. It was a delight to spend a lot more time with this great group of friends, including with the third book (actually written third!) with Grady’s Wedding.
