The Haunted Mustache Page 6

by Joe McGee

As always, I want to give a great big thank-you to my talented writing partner, best friend, and awesome wife, Jessica Rinker. You continue to inspire me and encourage me. And thank you for the supercool Wolver Hollow notebook you made me to keep all of my ideas straight!

Thank you, Mom and Dad, for letting me chase monsters and dragons even when you thought I should have outgrown it. Thank you for all the trips to the library and the bookstore, and the art supplies you made sure I had.

And finally, a shout-out to our children, who admire what we do even though they might not always get it, lol: Shane, Zach, Logan, Ainsley, Sawyer, and Braeden. We love you kids and hope you’ll follow your hearts and pursue your passions and dreams.

Thank YOU for reading, and on October 19, when the moon is out and the crickets stop chirping, make sure you aren’t caught without your mustache!

  About the Author and Illustrator

JOE McGEE loves to write about monsters and magic and other strange, curious, and quirky things. He grew up with his nose in a book and his imagination exploring other worlds. He knew when he was ten years old that one day he would grow up to be an author! He has an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from the Vermont College of Fine Arts and a Master of Arts in Writing from Rowan University. Joe teaches at Sierra Nevada University’s low-residency MFA program and teaches English at Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College. He is a former army officer and lives in the mountains of West Virginia with his wife (also a children’s author), Jessica Rinker. Visit JoeMcGeeAuthor.com to learn more about Joe and his books.

TEO SKAFFA has lived many places but is currently in Istanbul. He grew up in a small town you’ve probably never heard of in the Netherlands. He likes the color pink and making art, video games, and weird electronic music. He does NOT like room-temperature watermelon. He uses simple shapes filled with texture and detail to tell a story. He is grateful that he’s able to make a living by drawing, especially since he’s not particularly good at anything else.
