by Zoey Rivera
For the next couple of months, she mindlessly worked and killed. She picked up work as a mercenary wherever someone would take her as she was, never hiding her vampire status, but mostly as a monster hunter in Crithm. She never went to Hallifax, Malus, or Gwintin in that time though. She worked and she saved up her gold for the day she would return.
Her hand reached to her brother’s pendant, now hanging around her neck both in reality and Eden. She made a gesture to pull up the information to her will. She swiped the screen to open up the document and updated the information with her new intent. She took a long breath before her shaking hands tapped away at the holographic display.

The Last Will and Testament of
Cheyenne Annabelle Wei
I, Cheyenne Annabelle Wei, an adult residing in the Mir Forests of Eden, Room #8073 of Complex 80, being sound of mind, declare this to be my last will and testament. I revoke all wills previously recorded by me.
I devise, bequeath, and give my credits and any remaining gold that is in my possession to John Brisk, currently residing in the town of Sorin, along with any other worldly possessions that I have beyond Eden. I fully relinquish all ownership to him to do as he pleases with these items.

Cheyenne signed and dated the bottom of the document and closed out the screen. Now, she had nothing left to lose.

Zoey Rivera is a writer from Honolulu, Hawaii stranded in the East Coast of the United States. Living out in the middle of nowhere, where it's just quiet enough to get her imagination rolling. Possibly a bit too much. When she's finished downing her eighteenth cup of coffee for warmth and sanity, Zoey enjoys curling up with her two dogs, attempting to snuggle with her cat, and a good story. Some of her favorite sci-fi and fantasy works are Douglas Adam's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle, and Joss Whedon's tragically short-lived series Firefly, among many others in a list far too long to continue. She's been writing for fun since she could hold a pencil.
