Holding her closer and still closer against him until she could feel the beating of his heart, she knew that she excited him and that he did really love her as she wanted to be loved.
She could feel a strange fire on the Earl’s lips and in his kisses that made her feel as if he drew her heart from her body and made it his.
At the same time she wanted to give him not only her heart but her whole self so that she no longer existed as a separate person but became a part of him.
She did not really understand what she wanted except that it was very wonderful and all the sensations he aroused in her seemed to be part of the beauty that they were surrounded by and the heat of the sun.
“I love you so much,” the Earl was saying, “that I am afraid of frightening you, my darling one, and I am trying to be very gentle.”
“I am – not frightened,” Purilla replied, “and you fill the whole world and the sky until there is nothing but you – and love.”
There was just a touch of awe in her voice, which the Earl found very moving.
As he kissed her again, he felt as if they were both swept up into the sky.
The love Purilla had brought him was so ecstatic and at the same time so pure and sacred that he wanted to go down on his knees and worship her for giving him the Golden Fleece which all men seek but only a few are fortunate enough to find.
Then, as he felt her quiver against him, he knew that she was not only Divine but very human and that to teach her about love would thrill, excite and intrigue him for the rest of his life.
“I love my wonderful little wife! I love you!”
His voice was hoarse and the sincerity he spoke with brought tears to Purilla’s eyes.
Then there was only the closeness of two people whose love needed no words because their thoughts, their minds, their hearts, souls and bodies made them one for all Eternity.
