Raven hops up, strips out of her clothes, enters the bathroom, and climbs in the shower with Conner. Running her hands up his chiseled chest, “Conner, are you really alright with this?”
Grasping her hips, Conner pulls her towards him, holding her close, “Does it feel like I have a problem with it?” Pressing his hard cock into her flat belly, causing Raven to moan. That was all Conner could take, so he picked her up, pulling her legs up around his waist. He changes his angle and dives deep inside her, forcing out a gasp of pleasure. Pressing her back against the shower wall, he drives in and out of her, “Don’t cum, Raven, wait for me.”
“Conner, please, yeah, yeah, right there. Gods, please.”
“Please what, Raven?” Using one hand Conner took her breast and tweaked her nipple, making her moan even louder. Driving harder and deeper, “What.” Pound. “Do.” Pound. “You.” Pound. “Want?” Pound.
Crying out, “Conner, I need to cum.”
Removing his hand from her breast, sliding it down her body, he flicks her clit, “Cum for me, Raven. Cum hard on my cock. Yeah, that’s it. Let that pussy milk my cock. Fuck!”
Breathing heavy and feeling spent, Conner lowers Raven to the shower floor, but doesn’t let go. After a small recovery they washed up and climbed out of the shower. As they are drying off, Raven grabs Conner’s arm and goes stock still. Seeing her eyes glowing bright electric green, he knew she was having a vision and not to move.
After a few minutes, Raven comes to. Leaning even more on Conner, he picks her up and walks to their bed and sits her down on it. Walking to the minifridge he grabs a bottle of water and takes it to her, “Drink, that wasn’t a long one, but they still seem to take something out of you. Do you want to talk about it?”
Nodding as she drinks down half the bottle of water, taking a breath, “I do, but I only want to say it once, and I am starved. Let’s get dressed and go to Tris and Killian’s room. We can eat and talk.”
Once they were dressed, they opened their door and went next door. Walking into the open door and seeing food, Raven made a beeline for it. Chuckling, Conner turns and closes the door, “Well, while Raven is getting some food, there are a couple things we need to cover. One, Raven had a vision after we got out of the shower. It wasn’t a long one, but as you can tell, it took a lot out of her. After she eats some food, she will explain the vision. The second item up for discussion is, Killian is also Raven’s mate,” with this the room went silent.
Walking over to Conner, Killian places his hand on his shoulder, “Conner, Raven, and I have spoken, and we are all alright with this. I believe Raven has a mate for every different color that was added to her hair at her Ascension. Conner being white, obviously. I believe I am represented by the green. So, I believe she has two more mates out there that we need to be aware of.” Removing his hand, Killian walks over, picking Raven up and sits her and her food down in his lap. Smiling, Raven continues to eat.
Stunned, but curious, Tristan looks at Raven, then Conner, then back to Raven, and finally to Killian, “So this is why she was so urgent to get to you after the vision she had, she just didn’t know it. Well, we know Raven is special. None of us, including Raven, knows exactly why, but it is what it is. I will text the Alpha and let him know after Raven stops stuffing her face and tells us about the vision she just had.
Looking up from her plate, Raven chews her last piece of pizza. Swallowing and taking a drink, she finally says, “We’re being watched by another team of Blackwood Dire pack members. I think I saw exactly what they want.”
Looking at each other, Aidan spoke first, “What do they want?”
Looking around the room and locking eyes with Killian, “Me.”
Mumbling their anger at the very idea, Killian speaks up, “What exactly do you mean, they want you? Do you mean your life, like kill you, or do you mean they want to kidnap you?”
“All I saw was their greatest desire is to get their hands on me and take me somewhere. It didn’t show me where. I also know they are in this hotel and the moment we move, they will follow us. Following us will lead them straight to the Leprechaun Chieftain, and I can’t allow that. So we need a plan.”
Standing up and placing Raven on Conner’s lap, Killian retrieves his cell phone, “I need to message my dad and let him know what’s happened and what is happening.”
Killian: Da, we have trouble. To make this as short as possible can you use your gift to see in Raven's mind again? She’s my mate, Da, and she’s in danger.
Da: Not again unless I have her permission.
Looking at Raven, who has been watching him, “Love, my da needs your permission to enter your mind. He won’t do it again without it. To tell him yes, just close your eyes, once you feel that connection, mentally say ‘yes’. He will hear you.” Closing her eyes, Raven does just that. A moment later, her eyes go wide and began to glow electric green. No one so much as rustles a piece of clothing till her eyes stop glowing.
Da: Ya did good with accepting the War Challenge, son, good thinking on your part. I also owe the Whitewood Dire pack for comin’ to your rescue. You, that other mate of hers, and those protectors need to get her to me as quickly as possible. Does your mate know nothing of her powers, truly?
Looking up to Raven, “Raven, Da wants to know if it’s true that you know nothing of your powers, you know, what you can do, what you are capable of.”
Nodding her head, “We left the night of my ascension and after my mating to Conner. I have had no time to learn.”
Killian: You’re right, Da. She knows nothing. They left pack lands shortly after her mating to Conner to get to you.
Da: There is nothing I can do with us so far apart. Pack up and get here. You all will be protected here. I don’t care if they follow, our guys will see about dealing with them.
Killian: Yes, Da, I’ll let you know when we’re on the road
Sticking his phone in his pocket, “We need to pack up and get to my da. He will protect all of us and see if his men can deal with the Blackwood team that’s here.”
It took all of twenty minutes, but they were soon on the road, finally headed to the Leprechaun Chieftain, Killian’s da.
Making his way to his Blazer, Callum texts his First Beta, knowing he wouldn’t be pleased at all.
Enforcer Callum Team #1: Damian, I need help. Was in a fight with the target and her protectors. I am the only survivor. We found the son and tried to apprehend him. They showed up from nowhere and protected the Leprechaun. I am hurt but healing. They only left me alive to deliver a message.
First Beta Damian: Who the fuck told you to apprehend him. Fuck! What was the message?
Enforcer Callum Team #1: The target said these exact words: “I, Raven Sullivan have been given authority by Alpha Brandan to speak with his voice in this matter, and he agrees to accept the War Challenge issued by the Blackwood pack. Go back to your pack, Enforcer Callum, and deliver our acceptance, and may the Gods grant your pack’s souls eternal rest and forgiveness, because we won’t.” What do you want me to do?
First Beta Damian: Who the fuck issued a War Challenge?
Enforcer Callum Team #1: The Leprechaun said we did when we tried to take him and then fought the Whitewood Dire pack. I was the only one left alive when he made that statement.
First Beta Damian: Go the fuck home and pray Alpha Kieran doesn’t kill you and that I calm down before I get back.
Enforcer Callum Team #1: Yes, First Beta, headed home
After loading his dead pack mates' bodies into the Blazer, Callum heads back to Blackwood pack territory, doing exactly what First Beta Damian said, praying he wouldn’t be killed.
First Beta Damian: You will not believe this fucking shit. The only one left alive out of team one is Callum. He was only left alive to deliver a fucking message. Those fuckers got us into a war. Advice.
Alpha Kieran: Whoa, slow down. I need more information. What do you mean...just call me.
Dialing Alpha Kieran
, Damian is trying to calm down and not lose his shit with the Alpha.
“Damian, tell me what the hell is going on. Slower,” comes through the phone immediately.
Taking a breath, Damian works on his calm as he talks, “Team one felt it would be a good idea to apprehend the Leprechaun’s son instead of watching him. Once they attacked him, the fecking Whitewood Dire pack showed up. They of course protected the Chieftain's son. Killing all but Callum and leaving him with a message for us, well you mainly.”
“And what is this message?” Kieran growls.
“Apparently the Chieftain’s son said we issued a War Challenge by attacking him and forcing the Whitewood Dire pack to protect him. Of course, the pack responded to this, listen to this shit. Let me read Raven's exact words: ‘I, Raven Sullivan, have been given authority by Alpha Brandan to speak with his voice in this matter, and he agrees to accept the War Challenge issued by the Blackwood pack. Go back to your pack, Enforcer Callum and deliver our acceptance, and may the Gods grant your pack’s souls eternal rest and forgiveness, because we won’t.’ They agreed with the Leprechaun. Now we are officially in a War Challenge with both groups.
Hearing a loud, vicious sounding growl on the other end of the phone, Damian did not expect Callum to be alive when he himself was finally able to return home. “We have to get that girl, Damian. No matter what it costs. I know she is the key to every fecking riddle in my family history. Get her, do I make myself clear?”
Running his hand through his hair, “Yes, Alpha, perfectly clear. We know where they are staying. We will follow them, and once she has had her meeting, we will snatch her troublesome ass.”
“Fine, let me know when you have her and you’re on your way home.”
Hearing a click, Damian doesn’t bother to respond. He turns to his team and gives them all the details of the attack and about the War Challenge.
“Finn, do you have anything that can give us a heads up with what we are looking at? I mean, what’s coming?”
Leaning against the hotel wall, “I haven’t had a vision since the last one telling me we needed to move from Tuam to Athenry. Although, I think it says something that we are in the same hotel as they are. Close enough to watch them but far enough that they can’t smell us. I will try to meditate and see what happens, but we know that I can’t force anything. What comes, comes.”
Pacing the hotel room, Damian was not only pissed but concerned, “Alright, we will continually rotate watch duty. I want eyes on their vehicles and hotel room doors at all times. We will not fuck this up. It’s already a fucked up situation. It’s up to us to fix this mess.” Running his hand through his hair, a habit when he is anxious or nervous, “Finn, if you get anything, I want to know about it right away. I don’t care if I am sleeping. Any movement I want to hear about immediately. Now, first watch, stay alert, everyone else, get some sleep.”
A few hours of rest will have to do, sighing with resignation, Finn gets off the floor and walks over to where First Beta Damian is asleep in a recliner, “Damian, you need to wake up,” shaking his arm, “wake the feck up. You two on watch, don’t fecking blink. Watch them carefully.” Shaking Damian a bit harder, “Damian! Wake. The. Feck. Up!” Once Damian jolts up, Finn backs off.
Groaning and rubbing his hands over his face and through his hair, “Finn, what is it? Did you see something?”
After waking the other two men, Finn sat on the bed, slipping on his boots, “I know we need to get ready to move. I also saw that it is imperative that we not grab her until she has seen the Leprechaun Chieftain. I cannot stress this enough and don’t ask why because I have no clue why. I just feel it. I also know one other thing, but I am not sure how it will be received.”
Taking his head out of his hands, Damian stands up and moves towards the window, “I don’t care, what is it?”
Tying his last shoe lace, Finn stands up and joins Damian, “A point man. I saw one man leave out ahead of the rest of us. I am assuming that he was a point man, and we moved when he messaged us and told us to move. It also kept the rest of us out of sight. It’s up to you, of course. I am just telling you what I saw, do with the information what you will.”
“First Bet..shit, Damian, we have movement. If we’re going to do the point man thing, we have to do it now.”
Looking back to the window, Damian sees their target’s protectors loading the two vehicles. Thinking over what Finn had said, “Alex, take point. You’re the best tracker, and I know you won’t lose them. Keep in contact with us. I will be driving this time. I want Finn relaxed in the passenger seat in case he has a vision, a feeling, or whatever he may have. After they leave, Alex you track, and I’ll get us another car to follow you in.” Looking at Alex, “Stay safe and don’t engage.”
Alex turns around to face the window, watching the group split up and get into both cars. He steps over to the door and slips on his boots. Snatching the keys from Damian, “I will text you every 15 minutes. When I think you should start following, I will let you know. Get the other vehicle, get loaded, and be ready. They just pulled out, I have to go.”
As the men gathered on the balcony they watched Alex run to the Blazer, hop in, and head in the direction their target went. Stepping back inside Damian grabs his phone, “I am calling for another car to be dropped off and then I’ll message Alpha Kieran and update him on what we are doing.”
After calling for a rental to be delivered to the hotel, Damian messages Alpha Kieran.
First Beta Damian: Target is on the move. Using Alex as a tracker. We will follow after we receive word from him. This helps us stay low profile.
Alpha Kieran: Good, at least with you I don’t have to worry about another massive fuck up
First Beta Damian: You got that straight.
Putting his phone away, he looks around the room, “Let’s get ready to leave. The car should be here soon. We'll load up and wait.”
Damian decides for the hundredth time to go through his mental checklist to kill time. If he doesn’t hear from Alex soon, he will message him. As he was finishing that thought his cell phone chimes with a text message.
Alex: Head north on M17 for thirty KM. You’ll see a sign for a Petrol station. I am parked directly underneath it. You can’t miss it, or me.
First Beta Damian: Why have you stopped?
Alex: They aren’t maybe five minutes down a side road. Don’t worry. There is also a perfect area for an ambush
First Beta Damian: We are on our way. Sit tight.
Putting his phone away, “We’re heading down M17 for about thirty KM. He’s at the Petrol station.
In no time at all they were pulling up next to Alex, who was sitting in the Blazzer. Pointing down a side road, “They are right down there. We need to get set up. I don’t know how long they plan on being there, but we should be ready to grab the girl as soon as we can.”
Looking around, Damian finds a spot to hide the cars, “Alright, let's hide the cars over there behind that shed in the woods. I think we should do this in our other forms. We know there will be a fight, and most likely we will have to put up a good chase to get her. I am assuming a lot, but I’d rather be prepared than caught off guard. Remember, don’t kill the girl. We need her alive. Do what you need to do to the rest of them.”
Moving the vehicles and hiding them, all the men shift and head for their target. After running for a few minutes they see a twenty foot high wall. Realizing the entire area is surrounded by and protected by this wall, all six of the wolves hide themselves at a distance from which they can still see each other, but also being far enough apart that someone running by wouldn’t see them. They were ready, now it was a matter of playing The Waiting Game.
Pulling through the large gates in the massive wall, Raven's eyes went wide, looking around at the small community hidden in the forest. Turning to look at Killian, “I know, love, not expecting something like this hidden in the middle of nowhere?”
Smiling, “Definitely not, but i
t’s beautiful. Where do we need to meet your father?”
Watching as he points through the windshield, “See the man up there that looks a lot like me, but way older, that’s my da. Just pull up in front of the house.”
Doing as instructed, Raven puts the car in park. Before she could think about it, her car door was being opened. Taking the proffered hand, she climbed out of the car. Gracing Conner with a nervous smile, she moves to the side so he could close the door. As she goes to take a step she's stopped, “Raven, hold up and allow your protectors to do their job.” Looking at the man that spoke, Raven realized he was the Leprechaun Chieftain, and his son did indeed mirror him.
Once Raven was surrounded, Aidan and Clancy were in front of her. Conner was to her right, while Killian was to her left. Tristan and Aaron were at her back. The man, who had yet to introduce himself, led them into the house.
Raven tried to look around the house, but being surrounded by men and following another left no time to look around. Seeing that they were being led into a large parlor type room that had been converted into an office some time ago, the man finally spoke, “Mrs. Sullivan, if you'd sit up here close to me and your two mates on either side of you. You gentlemen are well to take up whatever protective positions you feel are warranted. I will not take offense at any of you feeling the need to be protective, it’s your job.”
After Raven, Conner, and Killian each take a seat in front of the large, dark-cherry desk, the rest of the men spread around the room. They seem relaxed but are, in fact, watching everything very closely.
Sitting in his chair, the man speaks again, “Please forgive me for not introducing myself first, but I wanted to get you inside in a safer environment. My men are now stationed around the house. I am The Leprechaun Chieftain, my name is Patrick Ailin Murphy, please call me Patrick, and I led you here under partially false pretenses. Please don’t be afraid. I mean you no harm.” Seeing Raven’s protectors straighten and stiffen he decides to speak quicker, “I did need to see you, and I do need to speak to you. What I mean is why I didn’t tell you that you need to come to me. If I had, I am afraid you would have thought me just an old fool. Raven, there has not been a Double Raven born in over three hundred years. A Double Raven is only born when the worlds are either out of balance or are about to be out of balance. Sure you were told stories growing up how there are creatures that live and thrive in the dark and their opposites are those that live and thrive in the light. What if I told you that was not meant to be limited to the physical world but to include the spirit world?”
