“What?” I asked, staring as I turned to my cousin. “Why on earth would you say that?”
“Just something I heard,” Charlotte said. She displayed a grin I knew, a sly one that said she knew something that was going to irk me.
“Spill, Charlotte,” I said.
“It’s nothing,” she said. “I just heard Crystal talking to her sister Gayle earlier. Looks like she’s ready to move on from Wes.”
“Really?” I asked. “Why would you think that?”
She chuckled. “Because she was asking Gayle if Riley was seeing anybody.”
“Oh, yeah?” I asked, my cheeks going red. “And what did she say?”
“She said she wasn’t sure, but judging by the way he was looking at you, he obviously has a thing for witches,” Charlotte said.
I smiled, looking over at Riley, who was smiling back at me.
“Maybe he does, Charlotte,” I muttered, giving the man a nod. “Maybe he does.”
