About Nika Gray

Sadie
I breathed in Cole’s vetiver scent and arched my back as his tongue caressed my nipple. I ran my fingers through his blond hair and guided him back up to my mouth. His lips found mine and he kissed me hard.
Heat shot through my body as our kiss intensified. His tongue caressed my own as I groaned against his mouth in pleasure.
He shifted me down slightly and then plunged inside of me. I gasped in pleasure as his thrusts came hard and fast. We’d been at this for hours and still I couldn’t get enough of this gorgeous man above me.
A fine sheen of sweat covered our bodies, making our skin deliciously slick against each other. It heightened the pleasure as my nipples brushed against the hardness of his chest. I needed to feel every inch of him on me.
And I did.
He pulled his mouth away from mine and gazed into my eyes, the heat between us intensifying. The look he gave me penetrated my soul, as if he could see right into me. This commanding man’s gaze split me in two. Pale blue tendrils played with my fiery red ones as he slowed his movements.
“I’m not hearing your squeaks. Have I tired you out?” he asked, his voice gruff and low.
“Not yet, baby,” I murmured, pleasure rippling through me as he stroked in and out of me. My head started to spin again as the fiery red tendrils emanating from me grew more intense.
“Our magic is intertwined. It’s making purples now,” he said as his thrusts became more insistent.
I dragged my eyes open to see the purplish flames between us. I gasped as I barreled closer to the orgasm I craved. He let up on the pace, seeing how close I was to coming.
“Not yet.” His voice was gruff with need. He pulled out of me and I cried in protest as he firmly moved me over and pulled my ass up to him.
He grabbed my hips and plunged deep inside me. I cried out in pleasure as his balls hit against my engorged, ready-to-burst clit. I clawed at the mattress as waves of pleasure shot through me as he took us off the cliff.
My body clenched around his cock as a purple light burst out of the both of us. “Cole, yes. Oh god yes.” I groaned as the orgasm pulsed throughout me.
He grunted behind me as his thrusts came fast and swift again, his cock rock hard inside of me. He cried out as he tumbled off the cliff himself.
The orgasm pulsed through me as he held the condom on and pulled himself out of me. His absence almost made me cry. I wanted it again. And again. And again.
He collapsed onto the bed next to me, his body still convulsing as hard as mine was.
“I think I might have heard you squeak that time,” he teased. “And rightly so.”
I struggled to catch my breath, which was still coming in shallow pants as I lay there, letting the waves of pleasure and purple tendrils of our energy surround me.
He rolled over and sat up on the bed, his legs obviously as weak as mine. I wouldn’t have been able stand up straight at that moment. He stood on unsteady feet and I watched his tight ass muscles flex as he made his way to the bathroom to get rid of the condom. When he turned back toward me, I sucked in a breath. His body was breathtaking. He’s tall and broad-shouldered, and his icy blue eyes so intense, my clit began to throb again.
He threw himself back onto the bed and gathered me into his arms. I nipped playfully at his earlobe and peppered kisses all the way back to his mouth.
Cole smiled against my kiss. “You’re insatiable.”
“You’re delicious. I can’t help myself.”
“Neither can I,” he said and kissed me hard, his tongue flicked against my own. Our bodies cradled into each other’s again and my body warmed up for round six, or was it seven?
All night sex was the best.
He groaned against my ear. “I’m out of condoms.”
I threw my head back and laughed. “I would have thought you’d be fully prepared at all times.”
“I will be the next time, I promise,” he said and nipped me on the shoulder.
“It’s almost dawn anyway,” I said and gestured to the lightening day outside.
I had finally been assigned my own dorm room, a single. As I was checking it out, I bumped into Cole Trahern on his way back from dinner the night before.
He, of course, took it upon himself to drag me into his room and we’d ravished each other throughout the night. It was one of my most favorite nights ever and helped me put the first week of hell here at the academy behind me. I was prepared to start the new week all light and happy and ready to take on any challenge.
My body pressed harder against his, my need to be close to him so strong. That deep warm smell engulfed my senses and I could feel myself getting wet, again. My heart pounded in my chest as the look on his face intensified. He wanted me. All of me.
That both excited and terrified me. My body had no problems with that, though.
“Hmmmm,” he murmured in my ear as our limbs intertwined. “Your magic tickles.”
“You feel so good,” I murmured back. “It’s going to be hard to leave you.”
“You don’t have too, you know,” he said.
“Headmaster Hotchkiss moved mountains to get me a single and I didn’t even get to spend the first night there,” I reminded him.
“It’s a good thing you’re so close by,” he said as he nuzzled my neck. I pulled away from him and my body tensed from the sudden chill.
“It is,” I agreed. “Okay, I’m tearing myself away from you know so I can get ready for class. Maybe catch an hour or two of sleep.”
“You can sleep here you know,” he reminded me. I stared down at the gorgeous man who I’d fucked all night long and decided I’d better leave now before I jumped him again, condom or no.
“I won’t get any sleep then,” I said and grabbed my t-shirt from the pile of clothes on the floor.
“Good point,” he said and watched me as I dressed.
I leaned over and gave him a kiss on the lips. My heart fluttered the moment I was within kissing distance of him. I had to get out of there before I climbed back into bed with him.
“Better get going then,” he said against my lips.
I nipped his lower lip playfully. I could definitely get used to this.

I finished unpacking the few outfits Kelly Hotchkiss had bought for me when I first woke up at the Headmaster’s Manor and put my hands on my hips.
The dorm room was small. It fit a twin bed and a desk. The lone window looked out into the courtyard, though, and I could see the morning sun. And the room was only mine. It had been years since I’d had that luxury.
Headmaster Hotchkiss had pulled some strings to get me a single. The mean girls, Kyna Bloodstyne, Avery Craig, and Sonia Gallagher had spread enough rumors around the Academy for the Headmaster to have some difficulty finding me another roommate. He’d ended up moving another student into Alexis Schoenberg’s old room since Alexis was still missing from what Kelly had overheard the Headmas
ter say.
Alexis was the girl who’d poisoned and tried to kidnap me. From what the Headmaster had told me, the amount of poison I’d been given should have knocked me out for days. Instead I’d been out for mere minutes. My unique immunity had saved my life that day and no one who knew my secret could explain what I was to her, or why she’d come after me.
I plopped down on the bed as I still had about an hour before my first class. I took a deep breath and listened to the quiet.
It had been a whirlwind first week.
I’d lost and found my memory, lived with two different sets of roommates, been kidnapped, escaped, and was now part of a resistance working against the ruling Magic Council. Not to mention forging intense connections to two beautiful men.
Flashes of the lab where I’d been kept came unbidden to me at random moments, but I still had no idea what my kidnappers had done to me there or why. Headmaster Hotchkiss, Cole Trahern, and Fergus Mathonwy all suspected the Magic Council behind my kidnapping. I was new to this magical world and trusted them to know. They had all done their best to keep me safe so far.
I still hadn’t figured out where my magic had come from. The incredible sex I was having with two of the most powerful men at the Academy and the magic we had awakened in each other was a mystery, too. The magic that, I was beginning to believe, was not entirely the same kind mages wielded.
My dreams of the weird orange tunnel and the ensuing sound of a crash were getting more and more vivid, though. Several times, I’d woken up thinking something awful was coming towards me. It felt like a beast I was only able to get away from at the very last minute.
I hopped off the bed as if the bed might bite me.
“Pull it together, Sadie,” I said out loud.
A knock on my door interrupted my thoughts. Before I even opened the door, I caught the unique smells of Fergus Mathonwy and Declan LongBane, a mixture of salty summer air and fresh-cut grass.
I opened the door and my smile grew from ear to ear as I stared at the beautiful men before me. Fergus reminded me of summer with his sunny disposition, brilliant blue eyes, and warm golden skin and hair.
Declan was darker, sultrier, and oozed sexy. I could see a tattoo peeking out of his white button-down shirt and, of course, his worn leather jacket. All he was missing was a cigarette dangling from his luscious full lips.
God, I wanted to kiss those full lips. I breathed in deep and tried to get my thoughts under control.
“I wasn’t expecting to see you boys this morning,” I said. Not that I was complaining or anything.
Both men smiled, but their smiles didn’t reach either of their eyes. Both of them looked troubled.
“Are you ready to go? We have a special assembly,” Declan said in his low baritone voice.
“Special assembly?” I asked. “You know what it's about?”
“I don't think it's about anything good,” Fergus said. “Are you bringing anything with you?” He gestured to the room behind me.
“I should bring my books,” I said and dipped back into my room to grab my book bag. I joined them both out in the hallway and locked the door behind me.
“What are you worried about? I feel as if you're not telling me something?” I asked.
“My dad called,” Fergus began. “He's going to be teaching this semester.” The look on his face told me this was bad.
“Is your father some kind of monster?” I asked, trying to make a joke out of it. Fergus didn’t answer and Declan started down the hall. Obviously, that had been the wrong thing to say.
“Gregory doesn't teach,” Fergus said. “He’s Leonora Trahern’s little bitch in all things. Leonora Trahern is the de facto leader of the Magic Council. If he's here, that means she's here.” His face darkened.
“Wait, Leonora Trahern is Cole’s mom, right?” I asked. I still didn’t fully track all the political goings on in this magical society. I had a lot of catching up to do.
“We can’t be having this conversation in a public place,” Declan said, without turning around.
We followed Declan into the light-filled stairwell leading out onto the quad. Even though we were the only people there, Fergus and Declan stayed silent. Worry swirled in my stomach as I tugged Fergus’ sleeve.
“Could this be about Alexis?”
“Declan has a point,” Fergus whispered in my ear as he caressed my back.
His touch instantly warmed my body and I pulled away, worried our magic would spark again. If Fergus didn’t want to talk about the magic council in the open, then we sure as hell wouldn't want this magic between us showing.
I gulped in the cold air to get my nerves in check. It was a bright and crisp morning with dew still clinging to the grass. I could see footsteps in the lawn leading past our dining hall and towards the main quad.
“Is the general assembly at the main quad?” I asked. My stomach grumbled in response as the smell of eggs and bacon wafted nearby.
“Yes, and we’re already almost five minutes late,” Declan said and picked up his pace.
“I’m moving as fast as I can,” I said grumpily as I hurried to keep up with him and Fergus. I’d started the day off so hopeful and now I worried my week would be as horrible as the last week.
“Could this be about Alexis Schoenberg?” I asked. “Has she been found yet? What if they blame me for what happened to her?”
“We've been listening to the scuttlebutt and actually, nobody saw Alexis with you, which is surprising,” Fergus said.
At this point, Declan had slowed his pace a bit and fell in step with us on the wide path leading to the main quad.
“Whatever magic she did on you to keep what she was doing to you hidden is working in our favor,” Declan said.
“No one saw us together,” I said. “So, I’m not implicated. Yet.””
“Exactly,” Fergus said.
I closed my eyes and felt the gentle breeze on my face, the mingling aroma of Fergus and Declan filling my senses. I wished we could all be in a room together with the rest of the world shut out. That wasn’t the reality, however. Whatever the school was about to announce this morning wouldn’t be sunshine and roses. I was sure of it.
As we came closer, the quad filled with the low rumble of all three years of the Protectors Academy gathered in front of a small makeshift stage with four empty chairs.
Fergus led us to the left where Kelly Hotchkiss stood with Cole Trahern. Fergus dipped his head near my ear. “When can I see you again?” he asked.
“What about tonight,” I suggested.
“What are you doing for lunch?” he asked.
I couldn't help but giggle. “We should probably find out what this assembly is about before we start making plans.”
It was taking all of my energy to not jump on him at that very moment. His sun-kissed face hovering next to mine made it incredibly difficult not to pull him into a kiss.
“I see your point,” he whispered. “My place after dinner. I’ll tell Dec to find something to do.”
“No. Come to my place, Fergus,” I said with a twinkle in my eye.
A hush fell over the crowd. I dragged my attention from his yummy face and looked towards the stage. The assembly was about to begin.

I watched with everyone else as a tall blonde woman walked with Headmaster Hotchkiss up to the stage. She was a commanding presence in an impeccably tailored gray suit that hugged every lean curve of her body. I knew she must be Leonora Trahern. She was followed by a short dark-haired man with a permanent five o'clock shadow and a scowl on his face.
“Dear old dad,” Fergus said, barely above a whisper.
Most surprising was who followed Gregory Mathonwy. Aidan Wilkinson, Cole Trahern’s best friend, joined Leonora Trahern and Gregory Mathonwy on the stage.
When did he join the Magic Council, I thought, and snuck a peak at Cole? He did not look happy. His eyes were narrowed, and his jaw clenched and unclenched in a disconcer
ting rhythm.
No one standing with me was thrilled, either. Declan and Fergus stood straight, both their faces set in stone.
Declan hissed at Cole. “What is Aidan doing up there?”
“I have no idea,” Cole said without looking back at him.
Headmaster Hotchkiss gestured for the group to sit behind him. When they did, he turned back to the assembled students.
“Thank you for being so prompt in coming here on such short notice,” he began. A magical spell amplified his voice to a loud boom. He cleared his throat and flicked his fingers lowering the amplification spell. I recognized the spell as one we’d just learned in class.
“For some of you who might not know,” he began, his voice lower now and not echoing so strongly between the buildings. “We are pleased to welcome to Protectors Academy our distinguished guests from the Magic Council: Leonora Trahern, head deputy, and Gregory Mathonwy, general undersecretary. Gregory Mathonwy will be joining us this semester as a professor of defense magic and combat. Aidan Wilkinson will be tutoring for Professor Mathonwy.”
Leonora Trahern stood up and joined Headmaster Hotchkiss. She nodded at him dismissively and turned to the students.
“Hello Protectors Academy. Some of you Third Years know me already as we have prepared you to join our brave mages on the Borderlands. I am here with grave news and to call you all to arms. Our defenses against the Fae scourge are springing leaks throughout the long distance of the veil. Our current force of mages at the Borderlands cannot adequately patrol the vast distance we need to protect this realm. To this end, we are accelerating your education to fill our need for more protectors in the field. Third Years will be graduating early this year. By early, I mean this week. We should be deploying battalions as early as next week.”
