Still…
A hammock isn’t the spot for any type of athletic nookie, not without risk of the whole thing folding in like a taco with us as the filling.
Swinging my hips back to make room for my erection that just won’t quit, I drop down to my side, hooking an arm around Jordan’s middle and maneuvering her until she’s spooned against me.
Her long blonde hair is down, and I nose it out of the way to kiss the back of her neck, knowing how much she loves when I do. On cue, she pops her hips back, the curve of her gorgeous ass grinding against my hard-on, and I groan, the sound echoing in the night.
Her head tips back, granting me better access. I inhale deeply, catching that hint of chlorine she can never get rid of lingering beneath the sweetness of her skin as I follow the delicate curve of her neck.
With an elbow, I adjust our covers until we’re fully cocooned again, more than happy to disappear with my favorite girl.
“Jake,” Jordan murmurs on a sigh.
“Yeah, baby?” I flatten a palm over her stomach, my hand spanning the width of her torso, accentuating our size difference.
“Stuff my stocking already.” She punctuates the ridiculous statement with a roll of her hips.
Fuck me I love this woman more than words can say.
Bending my wrist, I slip underneath the elastic of her underwear, pushing them over the curve of her hip and the bubble of her butt until they rest at the top of her thighs, her warm wet center facing me without restriction.
Her skin is soft as silk from all the lotion she uses to combat the amount of time she spends in the pool, and I can’t touch it enough. Her muscles quiver under my fingers, and I press a kiss to the soft spot behind her ear, breathing in vanilla and coconut while I line myself up with her entrance.
With shallow thrusts, I do my best to work my way inside her body. The evidence from her earlier orgasm eases my way slightly, but with her legs in a stacked position and the general smallness of her stature, it takes some time until I’m seated to the hilt.
I bend the elbow of the arm trapped beneath Jordan and work it under the layers of her shirts, pushing the stretchy band of her sports bra up until her breast fills my palm.
I thumb and pluck at her erect nipple and use my other hand on her clit again. It’s swollen and pulses under my ministrations.
Using the momentum of the hammock, I rock my hips back and forth. We whisper words of encouragement, of pleasure.
We give and we take.
We simply love…in every way possible.
Our lovemaking is slow, so slow it’s almost lazy, but it’s nothing less than intense.
Pleasure shoots up my spine, and I increase the pressure and speed on Jordan’s bundle of nerves, alternating which finger works her.
Left then right.
Push. Push.
The walls of her pussy start to ripple. “I love you, baby,” I whisper in her ear before pulling her lobe into my mouth. As my teeth bite down around the small stud pierced through it, she falls apart, her pussy tightening like a vice around my dick and milking my own release from me.
“Jake.” She sighs my name while I keep my arms banded around her, our bodies remaining connected in the most intimate way.
“I know, baby.” She doesn’t need to say the words for me to know what she’s thinking.
Eventually I slip from her heat, adjusting her clothes first then my own, before repositioning us to snuggle the way we were when we first climbed into the hammock.
“We can’t fall asleep,” Jordan mumbles, the words coming out slow and heavy, sounding like she’s already halfway there despite her declaration.
I laugh and kiss the top of her head, thinking back to the first time we ever did so. “We do have quite the track record.”
She yawns, that adorable squeak she always does punctuating the action. “Yes, but it’s not kindergarteners I’m worried about…it’s hypothermia.”
“Let’s go inside.” I give her a nudge, sitting up and swinging my legs off the side of the hammock then reaching for our boots. “I wanna give you your Christmas present now anyway.”
Her golden eyes flash and she jackknifes up, every ounce of languid satiation gone and replaced by girlish excitement.
I brace my feet on the ground to help minimize the swaying and make it easier for Jordan to slip her Uggs on, but she still manages to fall backward from rushing not once, but twice.
Once done, she barrel-rolls off the hammock, bouncing on the balls of her feet as she tells me to “Hurry up.”
Because I can, and because the little frustrated growl she does in the back of her throat whenever she gets impatient is the cutest thing ever, I make sure to turn off the heaters before making my way to her.
The narrowing of her hazel eyes as I link my hand with hers tells me what she thinks of my delay, but I’m one of the few people who can get away with pushing her buttons without consequence—well, without much of one anyway.
Both the gas fireplace and the Christmas tree are lit up when we enter the living room; this was all part of my plans for the evening.
Choosing a spot on the side of the tree closest to the fireplace, I lower myself down and sit cross-legged on the floor, pulling Jordan down to sit in the cradle of my legs, her back resting against my front.
With a kiss on her temple, I stretch forward and grab the long skinny box wrapped in Transformers paper. Again her eyes light up upon seeing I used one of our private jokes.
“Bumblebee, not Optimus?” Her lips kick up in a smirk at the mention of the leader of the famous franchise.
“I consider all the Autobots my wingmen since one of the first things we bonded over was our mutual love of alien robots.” It was random, but I shamelessly used the fact that she has an Autobot emblem on her Corvette and my goalie mask is painted to look like Optimus Prime as evidence that we were meant to be together.
Thank God I don’t know how to quit, because my girl was stubborn as hell about handing me her heart.
“I didn’t bring your present with me.” She hesitates, her thumbnail under the edge of the wrapping.
“Doesn’t matter.” I cup her elbow and jiggle her arm. “Now stop stalling and open it.”
With one last glance over her shoulder, she rips off the paper. I hold my breath, the sound of the lid snapping open amplified by the nerves jumping in my gut.
There’s a gasp, and then Jordan is spinning around, her knees falling to either side of my hips as she shifts to straddle me, open jewelry box in one hand.
“Jake”—her eyes flit to the box then back to me—“this is…”
I watch her throat work with a swallow. It’s so rare to see her struggle to find words, and this reaction alone tells me how well I did with my gift.
I look down at the duel braided black leather bands: one with a rhinestone-encrusted #30, the other with a set of crossed sterling silver hockey sticks bookended by jeweled hearts. It’s simple yet classic with a hint of edge—perfect for Jordan.
“I know, baby.” I lift the bracelet out of the crushed velvet it’s resting on and pull the strings to tighten it around her wrist. I love the way she looks wearing my number, even in this girly manner.
“I love it.” Her beautiful face is lit up like the lights inside the Titans' arena.
“And I love you.” Her body melts into me, her arms looping around my neck, mouth covering mine.
“Merry Christmas, hotshot,” she says, never breaking the kiss.
“Merry Christmas, babe.”

Christmas Beneath the Stars
A The Stars Duet Holiday Story
Amie Knight
Chapter One
Adam
I frowned as I loaded the tent and all of my supplies into the back of my Tesla. I couldn’t believe how cloudy tonight was. Liv and I needed the stars and moon like you wouldn’t believe and you could hardly see them at all. It sucked, big time.
“Hey, Nova,” Liv said, coming down the steps of our house, looking beyond adorable bundled up in all of her winter gear. The cute beanie on her head with the big ball on the top really sealed the deal. She was fucking precious. “Turn that frown upside down. It’s Christmas Eve. We’re supposed to be jolly.”
I was trying. I really was, but I was hoping to make tonight so very special for her. After the year we had, we really needed it.
“Sorry,” I breathed as she walked up to me and leaned up, placing a kiss right to the rose tattoo on my neck. Her tattoo for my Livingston Rose.
“It’s no big deal,” she placated. “Where are you taking me anyway?” She grinned and her brown eyes shined up at me with years of love reflected in them. And I was reminded once again that she was all mine. I was her first and only. We were childhood sweethearts, turned lovers, turned husband and wife, and she made me the happiest man on earth. And I wanted to give her everything. Especially a family. Children. I wanted to give her that more than anything in the world.
At the moment, the last year rushed through my mind like a comet flying across the sky. We’d been trying so hard to make a baby, only to no avail. We were both incredibly busy with our jobs at the planetarium and the community center. But still, we'd been trying to have a baby in every spare moment we could. And while it was definitely no hardship laying my tongue and hands all over her gorgeous body, I was terrified.
But over the last year, Liv never wavered in her optimism. She was still the girl I fell in love with all of those years ago in a field beneath the stars. She was forever a dreamer, but I was more of a realist and I was beyond worried we’d never have a family.
I looked up at the sky again, pissed off about the cloud cover and our circumstances, but trying to make the best of it. So I mustered up the best smile I could, given the circumstances. “It’s a surprise. Come on, let’s get going.”
She gave me an excited smile. “Eeep. I love surprises.”
She was so fucking adorable, I could have eaten her up right there in the car in our driveway and I wanted to. Instead, I opened her car door and got her settled before going over to the driver’s side and getting in.
It was a short drive to the community center since we lived only a few miles away and Liv looked around confused as hell as we pulled into the parking lot. “You taking me to work, Nova?”
This time I gave her a genuine smile. “Nope, Livvy. We aren’t going inside tonight.” I got out of the car and went around to her side to help her out before opening the trunk of the car. Liv stood next to me, bouncing on her toes in excitement. I grinned harder knowing she’d probably figured out my surprise for tonight. It sucked the stars wouldn’t be out, but I’d make the best of it. For her.
She saw the tent and telescopes in the trunk as I unloaded. “Camping under the stars with my favorite boy with the tattoos.”
I smirked. “I better be your only boy with the tattoos.” I grabbed the tent and sleeping bags and looked up at the sky. “But it doesn’t look like there are any stars tonight.”
Liv grabbed one of the telescopes from the trunk before I could close it. “I don’t know, Adam. Sometimes the darkest nights make the brightest stars,” she said knowingly.
Chapter Two
Adam
After setting up the tent right in the field that we fell in love in, Liv loaded it with sleeping bags, flashlights, and pillows while I went back to the car and grabbed her daddy’s blue blanket so that we could look up at the night sky. Who knew? Maybe Liv was right. Maybe we’d see something magical tonight.
I walked back over to our tent and laid out the blue blanket on the grass next to it and set up the telescope just in case a miracle happened and the clouds cleared. Again, I rolled my eyes at the irony of tonight. We didn’t have much time to look at the stars anymore and the one night I made an effort to, cloud cover was as far as the eye could see.
Still, I plastered a fake smile on my face before I crawled into the small two person tent. It was illuminated by a small flashlight Liv had set in the corner at the bottom. Liv set her phone down beside her as I entered and she shot me a smile that melted all of my worries and sorrows away. She looked so beautiful all bundled up. Her brown hair was longer than it had ever been and I wanted to wrap my hands all in it. I wanted to kiss every inch of her and breathe her in. And with all of that, I was reminded in a split second of looking at my girl that she had the innate ability to make everything bad disappear. To make everything better. And I knew in that moment, staring into her smiling face with a soft glow from the flashlight on her, that it didn’t matter if the stars ever came out again. In fact, it didn’t matter if it was just always us. It would be sad if we never had children, but it wouldn’t be the end of us. Because she had me and I had her and we were family, with or without kids.
We’d come so far, she and I. Two kids from different sides of the tracks. Separated by money, social class, and bridges. And then by time. But it hadn’t mattered. We’d found our way back. Just like we always would.
“Come here, baby.” She held her arms out and I rustled through the pile of sleeping bags and pillows before settling next to her. Fuck, she felt good and smelled like home. Our home. I nestled my face into the sweet spot and took a deep breath. “I love you, Ms. Nova.”
“I know you do,” she whispered, pulling my knit hat from my head and running her hands through my hair, her nails scratching along my scalp. “Mmm,” I groaned before pulling her to me and over me, until she straddled my thighs.
Placing my hand behind her neck, I pulled her down until her cold nose touched the tip of mine. “We need to warm you,” I said against her lips before capturing her mouth in a kiss so slow, I could taste every corner, every dip, every spot.
Chapter Three
Adam
Liv pulled out of our embrace and leaned back, her thighs bracketing mine. Her ass was pressed firmly to my aching cock.
Her cheeks were pink and her eyes were like fire as she removed each of her mittens and then her hat, but I stopped her there, grabbing her hands, pressing tiny kisses to each warm finger.
“Let me.” I started to unzip her fleece jacket and pulled at her sleeves. I wanted to unwrap her like she was my gift. It was Christmas, after all. Only, I wanted to do it slowly so I could savor every minute of it.
By the time I finally got the top of her body mostly undressed, she was pink all over and panting. I pulled her down and kissed her again, sliding my tongue along hers before using my fingers to unhook her
bra.
I gave her bottom lip a stinging bite that made her groan before pushing her back until she was sitting above me and I could see her gorgeous breasts in all of their naked glory.
I lifted one hand and gently ran my finger around one of her lush, pink nipples, watching as it pebbled right before my eyes. My mouth watered at the sight as I did the same to the other.
She arched her back above me, pushing out those beautiful, pink-covered tips while she ground down onto me. Fuck, I wanted her. I could have buried myself deep, right at that moment, but I wanted this moment to last. I wanted to watch, I wanted to feel, and I wanted it to last all fucking night. So, while it felt amazing with her rubbing herself along the length of me, I kept my cool and raised my tan hands to the milky, white globes above.
I tested their weight in my hands before rubbing my thumbs along their points. Liv moaned into the ceiling of the tent and rested the palms of her hands behind her on my thighs.
“Fuck, you’re gorgeous, Livvy. Even more beautiful than the girl I met in this field all those years ago.”
“God, Adam. I want you,” she cried as I pinched and pulled at her nipples.
“Soon. We have all night,” I crooned, attempting to slow her and myself down.
Desperate for a taste of her, I sat up, wrapping my arm around her middle, bringing my mouth down to her nipples. I pulled one into my mouth, sucking firmly and then flicking it with my tongue.
Lord, she tasted and smelled so good, I wanted to lick her all over. Instead, I brought my hands around and pushed her breasts up as I devoured them. Sucking, biting, and licking her nipples before trailing my mouth past her chest and shoulder and up to her neck, leaving a trail of wet kisses in my wake, my breathing deep, my heart pounding in my chest, my cock impossibly hard.
